To Those I Trust Most

"I told you they would most likely have Akk Dogs!"

Giving them a smile, she was starting to relax around Madalena. If it wasn't clear to her by now, then his friend was pretty oblivious to how Ra worked. Things took time with her and just spending time together had given her a chance to start liking the other woman. There were very few people she thought of as friends and Madalena had slowly started to grow on her.

Their food arrived as Josh was speaking and Ra cut into the steak in front of her as he finished. Turning her attention to Madalena as she chewed her bite, she nodded. Putting her fork down it was clear she was listening to every word that was said. It gave her the opportunity to get to know just who the other woman was. She was a part of Josh's life and as such would be a part of hers.

There was a key word in what she said. Madalena may not have even thought of it, but it was known by Ra that her mother was dead. She had something in common with this woman even if it was in a different field. Ra had earned her position through her own work and not because she had any sort of formal education.

"Aye, you were right" Josh spoke with a light smile toward Ra. "They're a bit... Hmmm... For a pet for Jason, though. But he does like them" He would admit, with a shrug. Jason liked all animals, so far. So he wasn't all that surprised.

He looked toward Madalena, deciding to offer an explanation. "Porgbert is awesome, but porgs are a bit too skittish of a pet for a child like Jason, who'd probably be best suited to a furry, affectionate, canine pet. We're not replacing Porgbert, obviously. But I think we can afford to look after two pets, and I was looking at what would best suit Jason. Ra's been helping me look into options, but we're still looking" He spoke, chuckling lightly. "AKK Dogs are... Well, they're not really dogs. At all. The name's a bit misleading."

Madalena would tell Jason then that there were certain birds that you could ride, and Jason's eyes lit up, widening as he stared at her. It was as if Madalena had just revealed to him that unicorns existed, but in bird form. Jason really liked birds.

"As for Beastmastering... Aye, I think it might suit him, when he's older. But that's still up in the air. He's still young, obviously" Josh would add. Madalena would reveal a bit about her past, and her mother. Josh had heard very little if nothing at all about her, so he had to wonder just what Madalena was programmed to think he was meant to know about her. "Interesting" He responded as he dug into his food. Oh man! No matter how much he came here, the steaks here were still absolutely incredible. It made him truly feel at home. "Dhhid she gith yu any pointers?" He asked, forgetting a moment his mouth was full before he remembered and would swallow, downing his drink to deal with the fact the spiciness was off the charts.

Why were they talking about Akk Dogs like that? Madalena squinted her eyes as she grabbed a Bantha wing and put it in her mouth. When she removed the bones a moment later, they were sparkling white, as though someone had bleached them with care. She grinned, chewing and swallowing, and listened to Josh and Ra while eating a few more wings in the same manner.

"I know what Akk dogs are, sillies," she grinned in between bites, and then looked at Jason.

Jason was still enjoying his food, like any kid his age did. His eyes had lit up at the mention of ride-able avians, and she flashed him a wide smile. "The Confederacy even has some dragons that you can sit on while they fly," she leaned forward, whispering very loudly to him, "have you ever ridden a real dragon, Jason?"

Turning back to Josh and Ra, she laughed, taking another wing into her mouth. "Of course she did," she smiled, "how do you think I get Porgbert to sit on my head and listen to my commands like that? Animal friendship wasn't just inherited."

Finishing her plate, Madalena moved it an inch or two in front of her, and signaled to the waiters to bring her another one. Really, he place ought to serve larger portions. She trained a lot, fought a lot, and needed meat a lot to keep up with her body's demands.

"Have you considered a sentient animal companion for Jason?" she asked then, "someone he could also talk with, who could be more than just a family pet."

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Riamah"]

She hadn't actually suggested Madalena did not know what Akk Dogs were, but Josh appeared to have thought that. He went to explain what they were to her and she said she already knew what they were.

"I have a Vjun fox and Nexu if you ever want Jason to meet them. They are kept in Bast though."

It would mean them going back to her home and Ra knew neither of them really liked it there. Now Madalena knew where she lived as well. Hopefully, that little slip of information wouldn't come back to haunt her.

Smiling lightly, she was mentally cursing at herself for saying the name of her home. Not only was Bast her home, but where her movement had its base. The phrase, "smile and nod', applied to Ra right now. She was listening, but with only part of her attention.

"I know of a few sentient animals."

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Scherezade deWinter"]

The truth was that both girls had misunderstood him. Josh had been addressing looking for another pet and had noted AKK dogs being a recommended option by Ra, and then gave the reason why it might not work out and why he was still looking. But when Madalena called them out for insinuating she didn’t know what an AKK dog was, he would just shrug it off, not seeming to want to explain himself. He just didn’t feel up for it. Instead he continued to let them talk for now while he ate. Noting Porgbert staring at him from Jason's head, he would cut a small piece of his steak and feed it to the porg, who seemed satisfied for the moment.

Jason was perplexed when Madalena would ask him if he'd ever ridden a real dragon. "Daddy says I can't ride Jongori yet" Jason would speak between mouthfuls, his voice mostly muffled from the food but he was still getting it out. "Daddy said that he... Uhh..."

Jason stumbled over his words for a moment or so, his memory seeming to fail him on phrasing as he looked at his father with a silent stare. Clearly he was hoping he would help him out here. Smiling lightly, Josh nodded his head as he turned to Madalena.

"I told Jason we were going to work on proper lessons first, with smaller mounts. Then maybe I'll take him on a flight with Jongori and I once he's more comfortable in the saddle" He would explain. He had forgotten that while Ra had already met Jongori in short, though Josh hadn't mentioned it's name, Madalena had never been on a mission where he had brought the dragon out. Ra would at least likely figure out what he meant though, considering they were discussing dragons.

Madalena noted that Animal Friendship wasn't inherited. He knew that Yuroic knew the technique... Perhaps it was time he learned. He liked animals, and Jason loved them even more than he did. He had a good relationship with the animals that he knew... Perhaps he could pull it off? Only time would tell. He'd have to ask Madalena for lessons sometime. Then perhaps he could teach Jason should he ever show Force Sensitivity... Something that Josh hated to admit was a nightmare to him. Deep down, he knew he didn't want Jason to be a Jedi. He deserved a better childhood than he did. Not training to serve something... He should be living. Josh didn't get to live. But the minute Jason showed Force Sensitivity... He knew that the expectation from the Order would be that Jason would be trained, especially considering Josh's position. There was nothing he could do, unfortunately.

Ra would point out that she had more animals back at Bast, and he smiled lightly. "I'm not the biggest fan of Vjun" He would finally admit cold turkey, though he hadn't exactly made that a secret before now. "But maybe sometime. Perhaps you can bring them next visit? A calmer Jason might be best if he's meeting new animals. He can get anxious with new things, as much as he also seems to love the wonder of them too. Introducing them in as safe and comforting an environment for him as possible might be best" Josh would recommend. "The Rest's medical staff think he might have a form of autism that's the cause" He admitted honestly, hiding his concern under a few more bites.

Madalena would ask if he'd thought of sentient animals, and he shook his head. "I hadn't, actually. I might look into them. I was just kind of looking for something furry, affectionate and lives a long time. Something he can bond well with, well into his adult years. Sentients tend to live longer and are more intelligent, though I guess it's possible they might scare him too."

Once the lot of them had finished eating, the bill had been paid and all that, Josh would take a deep breath as he finished pouring down the drink to relax his tongue with all the spice on the steak. Jason let out a belch, to which Josh began to laugh. Though he at least made sure he excused himself. Jyoti might get mad again if he didn't encourage good dinner table manners.

"So, truth be told. I want to show you guys something" Josh would admit as he would rise to his full height. Grabbing his bag and making sure everyone, child and Porg included were all accounted for, Josh would lead the girls back to the spaceport. Odds were their ships were already docked in The Maekrix, so just the large ship stood in front of them. He would let them finish any needed conversation pieces still left unaccounted for as they would head inside and he would set the coordinates.

[member="Riamah"] - [member="Scherezade deWinter"]

"Bast?" Madalena asked. She usually considered herself pretty knowledgeable, at least when it came to names of places, but that one didn't strike any chords. "Where is that?"

Turning her attention back to Josh and Jason, she smiled at the kidlet. Proper training before riding a dragon. Pheh! If she'd had to undergo any of that, she never would have gotten to ride dragons. "Maybe someday you can leave him with me for a few hours," she half purred to Josh, already thinking of all the crazy things she and Jason could do until his daddy could come back. Jason would be perfectly safe though. Madalena would never put the boy in any real danger.

To the notion that Jason might have a form of autism, she just shrugged. He was a smart and loving young kid who adored animals. Even if the assessment would turn out to be real, she couldn't see him as anything but normal, and he wasn't displaying any symptoms that alluded to him having issues in the future. In short, it didn't matter.

The four kept on eating without to much discussion. Madalena occasionally sent a few instructions over to Porgbert, making him do some small yet non-disruptive tricks just to get Jason to randomly smile.

When it was time to leave though, Josh said he wanted to show them something. Madalena raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. Walking with the rest of them back to the Maekrix, she had to keep herself from bouncing in excitement.

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Riamah"]

Having a great idea of exactly what Josh meant, a small head poked out of one of her pockets. It shimmered a blue colour and would surely catch the attention of Jason quickly. They came in various colours and blue was meant to be more of a guard than anything else. They had established a connection a while ago and it wasn't Force related at all.

Lya looked curiously at the others around her and slowly started to crawl out. Not leaving the arms of Ra though, she was an intelligent creature and sent a barrage of questions to Ra. She really did want to get down and explore the area, but also wanted to stay close to her bondmate. Giving Lya a pet as she finished eating when Madalena asked about Bast, she nodded slightly.

Still kicking herself mentally, she knew an answer was needed.

"It is a castle on the planet of Vjun. A place I have called home for several years now."

If any further, historical information was asked about, she would give them, but she would try to leave out any mention of her movement that was based there.

Within a few minutes, Lya was back in her pocket, still chattering away at Ra mentally. Josh mentioned he had something to show them, paid for the bill and they left together. Heading back to the Maekrix, she would silently talk to Lya and watch the area around them.

The things Josh mentioned at the table could be talked about later and she intended to do that.

[member="Scherezade deWinter"] [member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

"Maybe once he's ready to handle whatever you can throw at him" Josh would answer toward Madalena when she would offer to take Jason for a few hours. He wasn't opposed to the idea, but if she intended to take him riding, he needed to be ready first. Slowly. He was three, after all. Though in the end, it was just as much for her safety as it was for his. Jason coming to harm would not bode well for the one responsible. Jason meanwhile, had his interest piqued by the animal that had come from Ra's pocket. "Raaaaa, what is that?" Jason would ask Ra as they would board The Maekrix.

Josh was still getting used to the Maekrix, personally, he realized as they stepped aboard. He held a bit of sentiment for the Final Dragon still, but… Wasn’t it like that for all the ships he had? Yet at the same time, there was a reason for everything. Josh liked his sentiments, but there was a reason he upgraded. What use was a ship if it was destroyed? He had decided for the old models of the Dragon that they'd be better off as souvenir pieces in the garage of his homestead, capable of being used in an emergency... Than being reduced to scrap floating in the middle of space. And having backups in case his current model was destroyed was always a good plan. Though he only had two now. The first had been destroyed, the second was a remake of the first, and the third was a different ship model for better performance. This new ship though, wasn’t a Final Dragon at all, seeing as the Final Dragon was still going to be in use - re-purposed for certain situations. So it still had some shelf life left. It still rested in the hanger of The Maekrix now, ready to go at anytime.

"Cloaking mode" Josh instructed to R4 as the droid would activate the cloaking device on the ship as the group sat down. The ship would take off, and begin to fly away from the city. "Activate scanners, ensure that nobody is even in the area before advancing" Josh would remind the droid, who after making their analysis, would let out a few beeps in affirmative. "Proceed."

It had taken some time for them to get to where they were going, but when the cloaked ship would slow down, they would be able to see an island up ahead. It was mainly covered in forestation, aside from the beach coming into sight. On the beach, just at the entrance to the forest was a homestead. Two storeys, made of a nice material brick and tile that looked well maintained. The house’s front steps stretched out onto the seaside, as the final step gave way to nothing but endless sand. Next door to the house was what seemed to be a smaller building, though it was more like a large shack size-wise. Behind the house appeared to be a small structure made of a reinforced glass. A greenhouse, clearly. A bit farther out from the shack was what appeared to be a home-made cabana of sorts, with a wood and straw roof overlooking a series of cushions, pillows and lounge chairs. Around the property was a fence that made it clear where the property started and ended. The fencing appeared to be well fortified and they might even notice some enacted defenses. Josh did like tinkering with AI after all.

As they flew over the forest behind the homestead, they would stop as the ground below them began to move to make way for the ship to enter. As the ship would touch down, they would find themselves in an underground hanger bay. "Great job, R4. Tell the droids they've got some time to recharge before we set off. Give or take an hour to a few hours depending on how much time the ladies can spare" He instructed as he would step out of the ship, motioning for them to follow. Jason had gained a very easily noticeable pep to his step compared to before, while he walked hand in hand with his father. They would reach an elevator, and Josh would hit the button to bring them up. They would arrive back in the forest, just behind the greenhouse. Josh would lead the group out past it and back to the beach. Shooting the ladies a grin, he would walk through the sands until they reached the deck. Walking up the steps, he would place a hand on the door, which seemed to recognize his identity and allowed him to open it.

They would walk into what seemed to be a living room. There were a few photographs on the wall, primarily of Josh and Jason together with Jason being at different ages. A medium-sized red rug was spread over a wooden floor as the room contained simple pleasures, an armchair, a couch, a table and a Holo TV. There were books spread around the table, mainly droid building manuals and some coloring books. A bird's perch hung just next to the armchair. Barely separated from the living room by a half-wall, was a small kitchen.

"Well..." Josh spoke softly as he turned to shoot the girls a grin. The two people that he trusted more than anyone, enough to reveal to them his biggest secret - and his most hidden treasure. "This is home."

It was hard to keep bouncing all the way to wherever it was they were going. At one point Madalena started dancing around with Jason, swapping her usual hip-based movements to something much simple that the three year old could mimic, singing silly children's songs while they were at it. Only half an ear was listening in case Josh and Ra were saying anything, but most of her attention was entirely on Jason. Josh and Jason might have been "only" friends, but they were as close as family could be, even if there was no blood relation. Madalena never spent time with them out of duty; every moment with them was a moment chosen and cherished, but it was simpler to show it around Jason. Probably because he was still so young.

When they arrived, Madalena, slightly out of breath, smiled and downed a bottle of water before they left the ship. They were still on Naboo, though she had no clue where. It didn't matter though; she trusted Josh, and in case he decided to poodoo over things, she was pretty certain in her abilities to find her way back to the dockyard.

But there was no poodoo.

Instead…

"Home?" she half whispered with a voice full of wonder, taking in the living room with her glowing eyes, looking around. There were… Pictures! On the walls! "The actual home?" she whispered excitedly again before taking a few more steps into the living room. "You guys live here?" Yes, yes, redundant question.

The mere act of showing it though… Madalena flung her arms around Josh, hugging him tightly, and pulled Jason in as well, one arm open to Ra if she was comfortable enough to join in.

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Riamah"]

Reaching into her pocket, she pulled a struggling blue, furry animal out of it. Keeping her hold on her small companion, she allowed Jason to get a closer look at her. Giving Lya some pets to calm her down, she listened to the remarks made to her by Lya and responded back in turn.

"This Lya and she's an Ashlan Wolf. Can't you believe she is full grown? Now be nice to him Lya, he won't hurt you and this is Jason."

Lya had been with Ra for a while now and already knew Josh and Madalena even if this was the first time they had known of her.

Looking out of the viewport as Josh instructed his R4 unit to go through various procedures, what she saw new to her as well. Josh had only ever hinted at his home but never allowed or invited her in to visit. So this was a big deal for her as well. Leaning against him slightly as he spoke about having time, she looked at him and shook her head slightly.

"For you, I have all the time in the galaxy."

With a touch of humour in her tone, she hesitated just a moment when Madalena offered to include her in the small group hug. She wasn't one to show much openly, Ra was almost the opposite of these two. Jason was too young yet to hide much of anything and maybe that helped Ra in the long run. Not ever having something one would consider a childhood...to see life through his eyes was something she never had the chance to do.

Joining in the circle, she smiled at them.

[member="Scherezade deWinter"] [member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

"Yep" Josh would answer Madalena's question with a warm smile. "This is my biggest secret, my most carefully hidden thing. This is our sanctuary, our true sanctuary. This is where Jason and I call home, and it's where we can be us, for real" He would explain, his voice soft. "It's where I've raised Jason most of his life. He prefers it here, and so do I, really. This is where I can let my hair down, and not have to worry too much. It's... Really the only place I think I can truly relax."

The home was clearly very important to him.

"Which obviously, is why you can tell no one of it's existence. That's the only way this remains sanctuary. Not just for us, but for you if you need it. This is a safe place. I'd rather it stay that way."

Ra would bring out the animal that Josh had noticed earlier. He wondered if it was the same breed of wolf as the one that Madalena mentioned having... But upon hearing it was full grown, he knew that likely was not the case. Before he could think too much on it, Madalena had pulled him and Jason into a hug, and soon enough Ra joined in as Josh would wrap his arms around them tightly and squeeze.

"It's not much. But it's home. I've been thinking of expanding on it a little, just... Need to find time."

He looked toward Ra then.

"Your Ashlan Wolf, you mentioned it's fully grown? It resembles one that I've seen Madalena own, though hers is much larger" He pointed out as Porgbert would fly from Jason's head and move to rest on it's little perch. It seemed that even Porgbert felt at home here.

[member="Riamah"] - [member="Scherezade deWinter"]

The hug did not last as long as Madalena would have wanted, but that was just fine. Her smile remained warm, and most of her attention was focused on Jason as he looked at the Ashlan Wolf, at least for a bit.

But then she looked at the tiny creature too and grinned with newfound interest. Now that was a creature she'd never seen or heard about. Ashlan Wolf. Pocket-sized. She was going to have to ask about it, but not right now. Much as interesting as the miniature wolf was, there were things that were slightly more urgent.

"So how about we get a grand tour?" she asked, grinning from ear to ear.

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Riamah"]

This was also the first time Ra had been here. Not to Naboo, but to where Josh lived when he was involved with the Silvers or on a mission. This was where he could let down his guard and just be. Perhaps a time would come when the same could be said about her. Right now it was totally new to her and her golden gaze looked across the area around them.

Lya returned to her pocket and peeked her head out of it so she could continue to look around as well. She was friendly, but she was also protective of Ra. Giving her bondmate some of her thoughts on the place, the communication was silent and only between the two of them.

When Madalena mentioned having a tour, she nodded in agreement. They were guests here so Josh or Jason would be the ones showing them around.

"Are we going to be staying here? I didn't bring any change of clothes along."

[member="Scherezade deWinter"] [member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

Madalena would ask for a tour, and Josh would smile broadly as he nodded his head. "Admittedly, it isn't much. But I'll gladly give a tour of what we do have" He would answer before turning to Ra, who had asked if they were staying. "You're free to stay if you like, obviously. Your ship is still aboard the Maekrix, so if you need to get anything from it, I can easily guide you back" He offered. He looked toward the living room then, noting the presence again of the tiny wolf that Ra possessed. It seemed the two ladies had a pet in common, though Ra's was far smaller and he had to wonder why that was. It didn't look like it was still a pup, but he wasn't too sure either.

Josh would point around the room they had just stepped in. "I suppose this is our living room, family room, whatever you'd like to call it. It wasn't easy getting a satellite connection for a place meant to be hidden, but... I managed to pull it off. There's ways to receive the right feedback if you connect to the right frequencies and program it to look like the HoloTV is just part of their setting without directing back here. My communication array is in the corner there, so I'm still able to answer calls at home. I have it on an encrypted server that the Silvers helped me obtain, so I'd be able to keep this place completely hidden. The living room isn't the biggest thing, it's really meant for a family and not much else."

He looked toward the small, linked kitchen on the other side of the room. "As small as the kitchen is, it has all the essentials. I was thinking of picking up some new things though, to make some new things that Jason got spoiled on at the Rest."

[member="Riamah"] - [member="Scherezade deWinter"]

She had some essentials in her ship and nodded when Josh said he could guide her back to get them. Something to do later, but not right now. Listening to what he said about the connections and how he was keeping the location secret, she knew what he meant. By bringing them here, he showed his total trust in the two of them and Ra respected that.

The communications would be what interested her the most and the holonet, not so much the television part of it. That was something Ra never got into much of. It must be nice to have some of the same things here and at the Rest. Would make it more comfortable for Jason and gave Josh some security along with the secrecy he wanted.

"What is the biggest thing here if not the living room?"

Fully expecting the answer to be the landing bay, she still waited on what he would say.

"How many bedrooms are here?"

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

Madalena rolled her eyes as Josh mentioned the place wasn't much. What a silly thing to say. The place was home, one of Josh's closest guarded secrets. Maybe it wasn't some top rich made of diamonds and marble places, but it meant more than that; there were things here that no amount of creds could replace. Home.

But would she be staying for the night? No, that wasn't her place yet. Besides, Josh would probably prefer to spend the night with Ra in his most likely sound proof bedroom rather than handing it over to Madalena so her screams would not wake Jason up in the middle of the night.

Handing her commdevice over to her friend, she smiled warmly. "Hook us up so I can reach you here in time of need," she said. It went without saying that it would not be abused and only be used in true times of emergency.

Glancing at the kitchen, the curvaceous brunette made herself at home and opened the fridge to pour herself a drink. "Anyone else want something to drink?" she offered.

[member="Riamah"] [member="Josh DragonsFlame"]

"I mean, the literal biggest is the docking bay but that's technically not part of the house. I'd say the largest room is the basement downstairs, with the living and master bedroom being behind that" Josh would answer Ra first after a few moments of thought. He hadn't really thought of the sizes, so it took him a moment to kind of take a guess. The two of them were free to stay as long as they would like. It was true only one room was soundproofed though, while a guest room had recently been built when the old guest room had become Jason's room permanently, it was still a relatively new room and Josh hadn't had a chance to put in much for bells and whistles. He'd put it off after his wife's passing.

Maddy would hand him a comm and he nodded his head as he would put it somewhere nearby, intending to hook it up properly later on. The channels on the comms here were encrypted, so it would take some work. He'd taken every precaution possible to ensure that it would be just about impossible to trace his signal back to here. "Aye, that'd be great" Josh spoke toward Maddy when she would offer a drink, seeming to have made herself at home quite quickly. Jason would toddle over at the word drink, seeming to indicate he wanted something too. Once the drinks were handed out, Josh would lead them upstairs, carrying Jason with him so he could keep up. He would first open one door to a more bare room, though it was clearly meant to be an adult bedroom. "This room's new. It's a guest room. We had just the one bedroom and the guest room, but with Jason in the picture, I was working on renovations for a little while before I just... Didn't have a chance to, I guess" He spoke with a shrug, trying not to dwell on it. "It's livable though, just doesn't have much in bells and whistles besides the usual heat and cooling."

He led them to another room then, similar to the guest room but the toys scattered around the floor made it pretty clear who the room belonged to. "This is Jason's room. While it's a little bare since I usually have Jason bring his things with him when we go to Kashyyyk, he's been getting more and more doodads, so this room'll probably fill up with time" He spoke, beaming a moment at the thought.

"So I guess that would make three" He answered then toward Ra.

[member="Scherezade deWinter"] - [member="Riamah"]

It was perfect for a place to escape and get away. Something Ra could appreciate quite well and it had lacked in her life totally. Her only home was the castle on Vjun. With Josh showing them his home, she felt it was a location she could use if she needed to get away and escape for a time. Of course, she would never do it if it might put him or Jason in danger. This prized piece of peace wasn't supposed to be shattered by an invasion, so it was not a place she would come to hide in.

Watching Madalena make her way into the kitchen, she nodded her head when she offered her something to drink.

"Thank you."

Nodding when he mentioned the docking bay would be the largest room, it was exactly what she figured. Noticing he stumbled a little over some of what he said, she placed a hand on his arm for a moment if he allowed it before the tour continued. He then took them to Jason's room and she chuckled a little at the clutter.

"It is a very nice place, Josh. Thank you for bringing us here. Quite a surprise."

[member="Josh DragonsFlame"] [member="Scherezade deWinter"]

As Jason waddled over to her, Madalena grinned, picking him up and placing a kiss on the side of his head. She kept him balanced against her hip as she used one hand to pour everyone their drinks; water, tea, coffee, anything they wanted. For herself, she poured a glass of cream. Josh took Jason and the merry band moved to walk upstairs.

Peeking into the guest room, she nodded, his tone letting her know exactly what the before referred to. In many ways, Shmi was lucky that she was not around. Had she attempted to stick around without actually being at least a mother to her son, she would have found her body riddled with holes from Madalena's knives sooner rather than later. Madalena wasn't sure why, but she had a bone to pick with neglective parents.

Going to the room with the toys, the Sithling let a laughter out. Yup. They definitely knew who that room belonged to. "Where's the giant porg plushie I got him?" she asked with a grin.

[member="Josh Dragonsflame"] [member="Riamah"]

Josh was wholly willing to let Ra live here with him one day. They just needed a bit more time. Bit more time to really feel each other out and get to know that this really was real and that this would be a change well worth it - and that this was a stage of their relationship they were willing to take things to. It was a big step in their relationship, after all. But as for why he had shown these two this place... They were the least likely two, in his eyes, to bring firearms and bombing runs to his doorstep. For this to be a place of peace, they had to be the only ones that knew of it's existence.

Of course, Josh had measures in place in case his hunch was wrong. But he hoped that it would never come to that.

Josh took Ra's hand when she reached, shooting her a smile as the tour continued. "Been thinking of renovating, honestly. Maybe improving it to be based a bit on the additions I made for the Maekrix. But that'll take some time and obviously I'll have to figure out how to do so without being discovered."

When Maddy asked her question, Josh laughed a bit. "On the ship" He remarked. "He takes it everywhere he can. So it always goes with us when we move back and forth from Kashyyyk."
