So I've got a little idea. I know a LOT of people in this community who enjoy making things. I'm one of them. So here's my thought. What if we ran something like one of those random-ingredient cooking shows my mother-in-law watches? What if contestants signed up to see who could make the most original inventions - with alchemy, tech, whatever - out of a set of random components? There's different ways to run this, but I'm just gauging interest in the general concept of an invention tournament.

One rule I'm currently pondering is this.

-No more than ten posts of development, at least half of which must be by you. No pre-existing development work.

Some crazy cool things can be made with enough dev, but ideally this tournament would be fairly quick, and some of our best inventors don't have the time to spam 50-100 posts of dev. I'd like to keep the focus on originality of concept. Sound fair?

Some of the best work I've ever done, in the factory, is for stuff that didn't require any development (focus on balance and story mechanics, as opposed to PVP whatnot). Ten posts would be a solid maximum, with no minimum. My question is this: would we go through the factory or would this be just through tournament, for item approval?
