Faction Treasure or Trouble? (Levantines)

"Someone," Jerec yelled into the storm at a superhuman and very Ithorian volume, "throw me a jumper cable, or on Quekko's life I swear I'm not the only fuckin' ship taking a dive."

Delila had been heading back down the hatch to order an evacuation when the Ithorian decided to pitch a fit that would rival that of a spoiled teenage girl.

Hand curled around the blaster at her side but she didn't pull the weapon yet. It was tempting to shoot the dramatic Ithorian and be on her way. That was the old Dells. The new Dells at least waited a moment before acting on such an urge.

"I don't know who the fuck Quekko is nor do I give a shit. Keep this up and I'll be happy to send you into the afterlife to meet 'em."

The Nun chimed in with her own words that were much more elegant than her own. Frankly she didn't know how the Mother did it because Delila was ready to leave the entire boat to it's own fate.

Princess Leia had found some cables right as she was ready to tell the Nun they were pulling up stakes and heading home.

Blaster was unholstered and she pointed it to the Ithorian and then the hatch.

"Go on, stop pitching a fit and get your damn cables."

She was too old for this.

What would it take, Jerec wondered passionately, to kill Delila Castillon Delila Castillon ? A Force push to send her skidding along the hull and out into a long crushing fall? A little work with the laser sword at his toolbelt? An accident with the cables? A hostage-taking if said cables didn't materialize fast enough?

Nevertheless, the goal was the goal: save his ship. Cables were unspooling from a very pretty YT that he'd happily, happily sell at a used vehicle lot on Denon. This struck him as the moment to hold his metaphorical tongue.

Conscious of Castillon's gun on him, he stumped over and dragged the cable to the hatch of his own ship. His cousin Boola was waiting with a universal adaptor.

The Infinity's Free shuddered again, reverberating up through his broad feet: the storm, mechanical failures of some kind, and the reactor chugging to life at last. Running lights flared up. The big freighter thrummed happily. Relief cascaded through Jerec; he was still pissed, but his control of the Dark Side deflated, left that anger mixed with embarrassment over how easily he'd lost his sense of proportion.

But on the other hand, fuckin' Jedi.

He tossed a two-fingered salute to Mishel Mishel in that nice YT, unclipped the jumper cable, and disappeared ungraciously down the hatch.

Paying attention to the comms was his greater focus at the moment than even his own ship. He had people he cared about. Well, at least one, and a nun, who he just knew a bit, aboard his personal freighter. The corvette was struggling with the gravity to keep its position. Falling into the Force, Coren was hoping to coax a bit more out of the ship, by causing a telekinetic… anomaly between the ship and the planet. It… didn't work how he wanted and the ship just felt rougher.

"Right, wrong idea."

"Mish, you're gonna have to do something good and fast."

"Delilia, you good? Heard someone cussing. I need to yank you all out of there?"

Tractor beams were good, but they also connected one ship to another, and it was not always in the best interest of both pilots.

Leaning back over his shoulder, the older Jedi shouted "Give me more power, bring up some other tractor beams!" This was a picket carrier after all. The corvette was falling a little too deep but the ship shuddered as Coren gave it more control.

Blaster slid back into her holster with a shake of her head. Stress tended to get the best of folks in these situations and apparently Quekko was a good source of some of it. Sounded like someone important to the Ithorian wad dead. Lover? Cousin? Childhood friend? Probably killed in some random Jedi versus Sith war, seemed one happened at least every hour.

"Delilia, you good? Heard someone cussing. I need to yank you all out of there?"

"Nah, that was me. I've got it under control."

Eyes watched as jumper cable was unclipped. That was it? Acting crazed for the smallest of sparks? Dells did suppose the various ship tractor beams would help bring the ailing vessel upright, so their work wasn't exactly finished yet. Nearly.

"Well...if you're good here, best get out of this gravity...."

She ambled back up the hatch ladder, no need to linger.

With a joyous cackle, Mother Arg'garok gave a wiggle of her legs, thick cankles flashing under her robe, the parasitic morts twitching with glee.

"Yes, yes! The Force is with us, yes." she sang, her tiny, cloudy eyes glistening with glee, her face a map of laugh-lines and wrinkles. She did her best to hold the ship steady, hearing Delila indicate she was returning to the ship through the comm.

"Good. Good. All is good." A firm nod.

Once this was done and those they rescued were in a better position, Mother had every intention of switching out to see if anyone needed medical care.

Jerec scrambled past a cousin into the control cabin of the Infinity's Free. The cabin looked out over the broad, flat hull. From here he had a solid view of most of the ships. Ithorians were flipping contacts, lighting up instrument panels that had been shut down to conserve power. He settled into his chair. Here came the sensors, the comms, sheilds, even the freighter's very limited weapons.

Time to figure out how to be...gracious.

He toggled the comms and broadcast.

"This is Captain Jerec Asyr of the Ithorian freighter Infinity's Free. All my cousins say thanks for the jump start. Reactor's working fine now, engines firing up. Time to cut your tractor beams. Make it to Denon and I'll owe you all a drink."

The Reclaimer space train promptly did so. The Infinity's Free accelerated out from among the ships and arced up through the storm toward clear space.

Ambling back up the hatch, Dells made it was overly secure once she had popped back up through Jedi-side to speak. She quickly made her way down the corridors, listening as the Infinity's Free thanked them for their services. It was great to see cooler heads prevailed, Delila was certain the Jedi and the Nun would have had something to say about that.

"We're never going to see that drink. At least not me, not after I cursed him out over Queso or whoever was dead."

Sitting back in the co-pilots chair, hands took back over the controls and sensors, making sure what got scraped off earlier wasn't horribly vital. Still in the green.

"Alright Mother, let's get this boat back to its berth. Princess Leia, appreciate all the help."

"Alright," she began, "ramps up, cables up, let's get the heck out of here." Mishel called out. The Princess Leia's doors shut, cables taken care of and probably with just the right amount of time to spare as the ultraviolet light show was certainly about to begin. "Lav, Bloodborn, let's shake and bake," she told them with a sense of urgency in her voice, black boots connected with the durasteel plating beneath her as she moved through the galley and managed back into the pit and got situated at the comms console. "Denon? I'll keep that in mind," she said to Jerec Asyr Jerec Asyr who mentioned drinks, although she likely wasn't going to hold him to it.

"Ten-four, the Princess Leia's shakin' and bakin'," she remarked to Delila Castillon Delila Castillon as the YT freighter pushed itself away from the imminent danger zone. Admist the groaning the ship's engines whurred up just enough to get them out of the AO and into a part of the void that wouldn't force their hull to make any more of a dazzling light display of itself than it was already making.

A message out to Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser in particular, "well, if you're ever in the neighborhood again, old man, feel free to call."

The ships was ready? Good. Coren took a breath and nodded. Checking the screens he was seeing the power being restored and Porter was announcing to him that the Infinity's Free was powering up its engines. Another jolt from the planetary storm shook the CR90 and Coren strengthened his grip and rearranged the direction of flight. Holding the ship steady he was watching the smaller ships. Some were holding rescue some where holding cargo.

Cargo was good, could make a living off of that.

As the Infinity's Free moved, Coren could feel the Seydon shift.

"Blast it. Freighters, get out of this storm. The Seydon is clear to be landed on." He called as he started to power up. "Rising, Leia, you have landing rights."

He smiled as the ship started to get out of the storm. Drinks on Denon? Where was his ship?

"Leia, you are welcome out here any time! Visit us over on Laekia if you're in the space. And Mishel, thanks. We need to catch up." He had ideas of what she was doing but the Sentinels needed to make a break back into the galaxy again.
