Two coronations and a wedding

Mingling amongst the other guests chatting and socializing amiably, anyone would have thought Jezza was in her element. She appeared relaxed and totally at ease as she moved about the room stopping from time to time to make small talk. Michael or Cerasi were the only ones who knew her well enough to know she was miserable. Socializing outside her clan was still something she was not totally comfortable with, but her Alor insisted it was important as Alor'ad.
Jezza had seen Cerasi as she entered the room and the young dalyc was stunning. The blue of the dress complimented her features perfectly. Resisting the urge to go to her immediately, Jezza continued her circuit through the crowd. They were here to do a job, listening and watching for anything that seemed abnormal while giving the appearance of being just another guest, this was what Michael had promised in their role as security. The clan was quickly building a reputation and she was determined that it continue along the path Michael had in mind.

"The sparrow is flying"

The droid scanned the sky as two plates on his forearm shifted aside, ready to extend the twin barrels of his built-in blaster repeater,

And then he realized this was just the cue as the plates shifted back and he complained in his own mind,

Birds. It had to be birds.

He then proceeded with the envoy of other bridesmaids to take their seats near the front of the chapel, as instructed by Summer. The droid scanned the chapel as he made his way through it, fabric of the dress flapping slightly with each of his steps before he plopped down onto the seat ceremoniously, ready to witness the coronation, and step in if anything goes horribly wrong.

Same-sex marriage and a cross-dressing droid, conservative Jedi were rolling in their graves. Or ash piles.

"Elek, vod," she muttered into her comm link, which had been hidden carefully in the black band around her neck. She hadn't seen her brother since they left the transport ship. He hadn't said anything about her appearance. That was the thing that she had noticed; since his return, he had become quieter. Colder. She guessed the responsibilities of being a brand new alor were getting to him. He looked good though. And Jezza too looked stunning. Cerasi couldn't stop staring at the other dalyc. Her dress, her hair....her. Everything about the alor'ad made Cerasi's heart race and her cheeks swell with blush. Was she....falling for her alor'ad? She closed her eyes, mentally shaking her head. She couldn't. Jezza was...just a friend.

Sensing the stir of the crowd, Cerasi moved forward. Everyone was taking their seats. The bridesmaids, groomsmen, the throne, all of it looked lovely. Cerasi couldn't help but get a dreamy look on her face. She couldn't wait until her own wedding. It would be so grand. Being the sister of the clan alor would make sure they spared no expense.

The crowds shifted, and Michael moved with it like a wave of the ocean. Moving in a spec op mission was the same way. You moved fluently, observed your surroundings. Anyone who looked odd, and shouldn't be there. Someone with a nervous tick, sweat on their forehead, jittery palms, signs of those about to do something really stupid and they knew it. He was paying attention to these things about the guests. One caught his eye, [member="Herr Vanderhing"], he didn't like that the dude had brought droids, with weapons. Clearly this was not okay. He wondered what everyone else thought about it.

There was a list of those who would have shown up, and if that man's name was not on that list, he would have to kick the Duros' shebs, and get rid of those droids. It was a wedding, not a damn war summit. He caught a glimpse of Jezza, she was beautiful, and stunning, but more could be said about Cerasi too. The young woman fit the dress perfectly, and it matched the light blue of her hair. Michael had said nothing about it though, the mission on his mind, the client, and the clan's reputation too. So much responsibility.

It was taking a toll on him.

Swiftly, Michael moved over to the Duros, a silent murmur came from his throat.

Find a guest list, listen to me when I say a name.

No one would have heard him, the noise around of the crowd blocked out anything lower than a inside voice. It was time to act.

"Well, those robes are just fantastic!" His voice came cheery, and his smile true. His body was relaxed, and moved easily.

Genf Orkay, Vanderhing's lackey cut in front of [member="Michael Shado"] while he was trying to talk to Vanderhing with the two battle droid bodyguards taking aim

"Excuse me!! Is there a reason why you're bothering Mr. Vanderhing!?!?...."

Orkay ordered an answer but Herr Vanderhing waved him and the droids off saying

"Come now Genf, is that really necessary?.... I'll speak with this gentleman. Stand down droids!!" Genf Orkay reluctantly backed off and the droids complied with Vanderhing's orders with a quick "Roger, roger!!" Vanderhing then inspected the person in front of him and said "Thank you, but you don't really look like someone who cares about robes..."

"Glyss will now cover an area of the galaxy that Ringovinda StarYards didn't cover yet: the galactic northwest. It also holds for Ringovinda Systems. Construction of a shipyard over Glyss will begin as soon as the wedding is over, with all appropriate starship component factories"

She said that while the cameras were trained at her on her way to the ready room. Ringovinda Systems didn't cover the galactic southwest either: Dulvoyinn was the westernmost location where it has set up shop by virtue of it being further west than Hosnian Prime. For the galactic northeast, there was Ringo Vinda, the headquarters, for the southeast, there was Tatooine (Systems), Geonosis and Soceras (StarYards). As for the Core, Bimmisaari, Gyndine for the shipyards, Hosnian Prime for the manufacture of components and ground vehicles. Ringovinda StarYards had a location on Pergitor's orbit to the southwest. Now Ringovinda StarYards was going to be a truly galaxy-wide corporation, just that further expansion in Alliance and SJ space is ruled out for the time being. While the cue for her bride has come, hers hasn't come yet. So all that Marcia and Julie were to do was to wait for the organizer's signal.

Summer would proceed down the isle. At the end she would be met by her head adviser and he would remove her tiara from her head. He would then ask "Do you swear to protect and defend the people of glyss so long as you may reign?" Summer would smile and say "Yes I do." She would then be handed the royal symbols of Glyss a globe and a spear. She would hold these as they said "Hail Queen Sovereign." She would then have the crown placed on her head and she would take her seat on the throne.

Moving smoothly through the guests as they began to find their way too their seats, Jezza made her way to the guest list. Passing Michael along the way she smiled and nodded, whispering in her comm. "On it!" Taking special note of the gentleman Michael was speaking with, Jezza quickened her pace slightly. Glad that she had chosen a dress that was flowing and brushed the floor so that she could get away with wearing sensible footwear, Jezza was able to move fairly quickly through the room. Procuring the list, she reviewed it quickly as she whispered, "Ready when you are sir"

Michael smiled at the man, then looked at the droids, impressive.

"You're right, I'm more interested in your droids. They don't look that standard for bodyguards, and I would assume someone with such expensive robes wouldn't spend small bucks on low grade droids."

The Mandalorian took a slight bow to the others in a apologetic manner.

"Forgive me."

"The sparrow is flying" the organizer told Jessica.

"My turn has arrived"

This meant that her bride Summer was already seated on the throne. And also that Jessica was to be seated on Summer's left-hand side. The royal security guards escorted Jessica and her bridesmaids to the main chamber, whereby the chief royal advisor would hold Summer's old tiara until she was seated. With Jessica going down the aisle, she had a standing ovation, whereby the happy guests of Glyss would see her being as radiant as was possible for her to do given her subconscious use of the Force to make herself as pretty as was possible. The crowd on Glyss never had a chance to see Jessica in person; all that they heard about Jessica was that she was Wookiee-sized, and also a Force-using genius as well. And then said chief advisor sidestepped towards Jessica once she was done walking down the aisle for her own coronation as Princess Consort of Glyss. Plus she had the impression that Sith were more conservative than Jedi.

"Do you swear to serve and protect the people of Glyss for so long as you may act as Princess Consort?"

"Yes I do"

Kianna was overjoyed when Summer asked her to be a bridesmaid. She had met up with Jessica a few times before and now she was standing here with Jessica and Summer as they devoted themselves to each other in Holy Matrimony.

She smiled watching them. She was good friends with Jessica and Kianna had been introduced to Summer before. This was actually the first time Kianna was in a wedding, so she was very nervous. It seemed to also be nice to put on a dress again and be fancy.

After their vows to each other were exchanged, it flowed perfectly into their coronation. Both brides were looking absolutely beautiful.

Here came the Princess Consort, whom Ajira had only glimpsed before now. Six foot six, maybe two-twenty, two-thirty: some kind of augment, perhaps, like a Ragithan human. As the audience -- clearly paid -- rose to give her a standing ovation they hadn't given their own queen minutes ago, Ajira rose as well, but didn't applaud. She wanted to blend in a little, and also to get a better look at Her Highness (so to speak). Ajira's own Force presence was expertly concealed, but she could still get a decent sense of the Force at work. No question about it: the sparkly Wookiee-sized blonde was wearing a basic glamour. That went a long way toward explaining the standing ovation, come to think of it.

Ajira's secure datapad trembled slightly. She glanced down as the crowd returned to their seats.

Left under a cloud, started work at Ringovinda StarYards, pursued personal vendetta against KDY. Huttball player, occasional amateur holovid actress. Ajira's eyes flicked between the two women on their thrones. Med-Beq -- what kind of a name was Jessica, for that matter? -- was about to be crowned, true. The third phase of the ceremony, however, the actual marriage, had yet to transpire.

To do something, or not to do something? Ajira didn't really know the bride all that well, but she struck Ajira as a sweet and uncomplicated soul. Her world had a similar purity in isolation, from Ajira's impression. She'd ranged the length and breadth of the Unknown Regions in the last half century, and ruled most of it under one name or another. She'd known a hundred worlds like Glyss, and they rarely benefited from this kind of quasi-legitimized corporate colonialism.

And the standing ovation really had rubbed her the wrong way.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a high-society wedding must be in want of an audacious interruption.

The venue for the coronations and the royal marriage was a glorious one, all things considered. Even the most ornate cathedrals, however, tended to have a 'fresher, and for an event this large, the lineups were something special. A security-camera-baffling array of local and offworld guests filled the bathrooms to capacity.

There came, from the direction of the ladies' room, a noise of profound flushing, and a tormented scream from a dozen throats. As Med-Beq performed her oaths, a torrent of disheveled persons rushed out of the lavatory as if pursued by something unusually vile.

Something unusually vile emerged immediately thereafter.

Indigo tentacles lashed out of the 'fresher, ripped a hapless guest off the back pew, and dragged that fated personage into the loo. There was a cacophonous roar as of rending flesh, and a sound of chomping.

The droid was watching the ceremony calmly, calculating how much time he had before he could go off and watch ropos at play, paint a painting, or track down another criminal, beat their skull in, and bring them in for bounty, he was the night, he was the law, or take an oil bath. In a way he was like an old man, just doing whatever everyone else was doing, he could not keep up with those young-people ceremonies anyway, so when Summer did her oaths, HK clapped with everyone else, when Jessica was doing her thing, sure he stood up too and clapped, although her charms and tricks didn't worked on him, unless one bent the reality with the Force, like some people did to be fair, it was rather difficult to fool a droid. Unless they knew the basics of programming.

Either way, the droid just did his part as a witness to the ceremonies, ready to continue with the wedding portion of the evening,

But it was then that the sudden and inevitable interruption happened on part of balding [member="Lady Shambleau"], the machine's audio receptors picked up on the noise and he looked over to the Mandalorian security guards, ready to step up and protect the brides if it was necessary.

Blaster drawn as she sprinted toward the ladies room, Jezza wished for her armor. Michael was barking orders through the comm faster than anyone could reply to them. She came around the corner just in time to see the tentacles through the door as it came to a close. Jezza began clearing guests from the area, while relaying to Michael what she had seen. It would be suicidal to go in there alone, so Jezza had no choice but to cordon off the area and wait on Michael and Cerasi. After all the guests were removed from the nearby area, Jezza waited prepared to defend the area until her aliit arrived.

Kianna smiled seeing Jessica walking down the isle. She could sense the force coming off of her in waves. She looked very pretty but it wasn't the force that Kianna felt that was making her beautiful, it was just her all dressed in white and looking beautiful.

As the ceremony went on, Kianna sensed that something wrong was happening. Sure enough, it was. Being a princess herself and waiting for her own coronation to be queen, she knew how important this day was. Luckily, she had found a way to hide her lightsabers within her dress.

Kianna then heard the sound of screams coming from the womens' restroom and saw tenticles coming from the doorway. A look of fear came upon her face and she stayed where she was for the moment, deciding to protect Jessica and Summer instead. If anything got any worse, Kianna would step in and aid anyone in need.

While he was trying to discuss machines of potential violence with the alien, something was happening, something terrible. The sounds of death touched his ear as Michael turned his head to look. What he saw was something disgusting, and grotesque, tendrils taking people, and then consuming them swooshed around. There was a ways he could about this, and one of them was gun-ho straight into the fray of it all, but then people would die, and that would not good on his resume, or the clan's.

Jezza was already getting ready to fight the nasty creature, whatever it was. Why anyone would want to interrupt the wedding, Michael could not think of a reason why they would want to do that. It sounded like someone was just bored. The alor guessed he could understand that...maybe.

Quickly, Michael began to move into the crowd. Time to get to work.

"Cerasi, get people moving towards the exits! Jezza watch your fire! Mrs. Sovereign and Med-Beq takes priority!"

Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she caught a glimpse of Cerasi directing the nearby guests to the exits but she couldn't be sure. Jezza's attention was focused on the door in front of her, the safety of those around her depended on her concentrating. Michael was giving orders as he made his way to her location. "Yes sir!!" Jezza responded as he reminded her that she couldn't just cut loose with her fire, too many innocent bystanders could be harmed.

As tempted as Jessica was to just fire off one of Electric Judgment, pyrokinesis or cryokinesis, in order to face what was causing the ruckus in the bathrooms, she was reminded of how weak she still was with those things. Last time she tried to use pyrokinesis, she lighted up the wick of a candle, and she could set a 1ft x 1ft item on fire, so that meant, hopefully, she could burn a blaster using the Force. Or freeze one, alternatively. Will she be able to conjure up more power out of Electric Judgment than what is required to recharge a blaster powerpack or a lightsaber, or to do defibrillation? She can always make for the exits as [member="HK-36"] would do, but this was perhaps improper to make it show that Jessica was actually a space witch. Then again the Queen was also a space witch, so they're even. Jessica locates HK-36 and stays close to the droid while the hired security stays close to the issues leading to the bathrooms.

"Don't panic. Keep calm and just make for the exits"

And where was the bridesmaid just now? At the side of the bride, loyally, dress flapping behind her as she rushed up to the throne.

"Your Majesty. Summer. We need to get you out of here."

Med-Beq had fled to the side of the HK droid, the security forces were converging on the bathroom -- no real, concerted focus on the safety of their wife/queen/employer. Ajira found no obstacles in getting to the bride. She spoke quickly and low, so only Summer could hear her.

"Your fiancee is using you and your planet for her company's gain. This violence might be part of a plot. We need to go -- now, with as much security as you can muster."
