Alright. I've been cooking up a potential idea for why we might suddenly invade and conquer Christophsis. My character here, Aut-X, was originally in service to the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Due to the circumstances of his deactivation and subsequent reactivation all these years later, he's been for the most part acting in service to the new CIS due to having no outstanding orders. Or so he thought.
A recent spout of maintenance upon his aged chassis and memory core inadvertently uncovered outstanding orders within Aut-X's programming. His fleet had been en-route to launch an attempted invasion on Christophsis shortly before the shutdown signal had taken effect. Due to such incomplete objectives, Aut-X's programming has automatically prioritised them. At the command of his personal armada, Aut-X disappeared from Confederate space to launch an invasion of Christophsis without reporting his activities. For the last few weeks, the Confederate Government has been largely unaware of what has been taking place in the Christophsis sector, assuming it's communications blackout was the side effect of spacial anomalies. Recent events involving the disappearance of large amounts of war material from the foundries of Geonosis, however, have led to an investigation. Following the trail of unauthorised cargo shipments, an expedition to locate General Aut-X suddenly discovers the full extent of his activities on Christophsis.
Essentially, said expedition uncovers a full blown war currently raging on the surface of the planet, between Aut-X's forces and the local planetary defense force. I figure it'd be a fun little plot to tie our iteration of the CIS in with the original.
Objective-wise, I'm thinking the following.
Objective 1: Aid in the current assault on the planetary capital. (Urban/Siege Warfare, more or less.)
Objective 2: Deal with the remnants of the planetary defense fleet. (Space Combat)
Objective 3: Administer relief efforts to the civilian population caught up in the middle of such a brutal war.
Objective 4: Protect Princess Thais Kallisto's mine on Christopsis from looters taking advantage of the conflict to steal precious metals.
Objective 5: Go with other Mandragora and friends to mine crystals for a personal lightsaber.
And of course, BYOO for folks with their own ideas.
