Unforeseen

"I never go all out from the start," Ballen-Ist began, smirking at her comment as well, "It's how you keep things exciting," he finished, while walking closer to the Twi'lek. The Knight's shimmering blade would spin audibly through the air, cutting it with much strength and speed. "First, you must call upon your hatred, fear and pain. It will try to overwhelm you, you must fight back. If you fail you will enter a permanent trance of uncontrollable rage, until it eats away at your body." Ballen-Ist looked at [member="Luminara Rikanati"] rather seriously, wondering if she was up to the challenge.

Luminara made a sort of disappointed expression. "Oh? Well, this is going to be a bit harder than it sounds...." She didn't have as much angry or hatred as many believed. She did what she did for the exact opposite reasons, in fact. She LOVED causing pain, and killing, and tormenting. But... What was the reason behind it? The real reason. She closed her eyes and began to think. Her memories took her back to the Hutt. So fat, so slimy. And yet day-in and day-out, she had to dance for him. She had to PLEASE him. He killed so many with a flick of his hand. He had no right to do what he did. He didn't know how hard so many worked to keep him satisfied. He did absolutely nothing at all, and he thought he had the right to play God. She loathed every bit of him and what he made her do. But she taught herself to bathe in it. She taught herself to love it, and to love the idea of taking the breath from another being. Her body began to radiate a thick black fog as her thoughts grew deeper, and darker.

Ballen-Ist would watch quietly, sensing the feelings and emotions within [member="Luminara Rikanati"] as she summoned them forth. The young Sith knew that the Twi'lek was a powerful force user, and wasn't surprised to see the black fog rising from her body. The dark side power she had conjured would attempt to take over the female, and eradicate what sanity was left. "You must retain your oneness, and control the power before it controls you," the pureblood lectured, now pacing nervously.

Her mind went deeper, submerging into her darkest desires and emotions. The pull was so tempting. Why not give in? Why not just let herself go? Be completely at one with the Force? A tiny smirk became visible on her face. Because. Being at one with the Force? Boring! Way too Jedi-like. Secondly, she'd rather be able to think with her own head than with the head of a million dead Sith. She opened her now glowing eyes. "Oh, I have no intention of being controlled..."

The Knight's eyes glowed a bright gold as he watched the Twi'lek, calming down as he listened to her words. Now that he was sure of her presence, explaining the technique would be far more enjoyable. "Now all that's left is the technique wearing off, which will leave you in a state of tremendous pain," he warned, pausing before continuing, "pleasure even, in your case," the Sith spoke with a smirk on his face. If she was going to tease, so would he. "That is the price of this power."

She tilted her head is a disturbingly twisted smile. "Power-shmower. I'm in it for the pain..." Luminara then suddenly attacked Ballen ferociously and without any warning.

Lifting his blade from it's lowered position, Ballen-Ist would prepare a defense as he watched the Twi'lek in his slowed perception. Her speed had greatly increased, along with her strength which she had lacked in before. The Sith's metallic blade would thrust forward, slamming against [member="Luminara Rikanati"]'s saber with much momentum, stopping both weapons in their tracks. Of course he did not expect her to stop there, and thus pushed off her saber to step backwards, hopefully avoiding her next attacks as he leaped into the air. The Knight's hand would wave towards the ground as a bright violet aura enveloped it, which would shoot a single stream of powerful lightning in the female's way. If she were to dodge the energy would catch the tatami mats on fire, creating a small flame.

Luminara was like a snake on energy-boosters. When Ballen tried to shock her, she took it, feeling barely anything at all as she launched herself at him. With this sudden boost of power, she could penetrate his mind much easier. She sent him several attacking versions of her that looked so realistic that she might've been fooled if she were on the receiving end.

Landing with a loud thud back onto the ground, Ballen-Ist would scoff quietly to himself as he watched [member="Luminara Rikanati"] take his lightning on head first. That was one thing he had forgotten about the rage technique, for it really rendered damage useless unless major. The doppelgangers would appear shortly after, causing the youth to grit his teeth in determination. Hopefully the Twi'lek wouldn't be able to trick him again with her illusions. Even so the warrior began to defend himself from the attackers, moving his blade arm where he saw fit while his free limb allowed him to incorporate some grappling. After a few moments of intense combat, the Sith would gather a mass of force energy around him, before releasing it as a shock wave to throw off the real foe.

But the shock-wave did nothing but destroy four doppelgangers. Luminara was nowhere in sight. Well, until she made a savage attack to his back. The rage was making her do so many things that she wouldn't have thought of beforehand.

Ballen-Ist would probably find this situation familiar if he were winning, though he wasn't. Instead of being effective, the shock wave had done little to disturb the illusion caster, who had jumped out to strike at this point. The Sith's neck would whip to the side as he looked behind him from the corner of his widened eye. Before darting forward, the tip of [member="Luminara Rikanati"]'s saber would graze the pureblood, burning his skin and clothes. After jumping forward, Ballen-Ist's foot would slam upon the ground as he pivoted, making a full turn before kicking off back towards the Twi'lek. Cooking back an arm, the Knight aimed to deliver a staggering punch that would send her flying.

The punch would've hurt like Hell, if she wasn't hyped up so much. I did send her backwards a few feet, but not quite as far as she should've went. She glared at him with a maniacal smile, blood dripping from the corner of her ruby lips. "How DARE you hit a woman!" She cried mockingly. Luminara did a kind of zig-zag maneuver as she came at him before sending an equally powerful punch right back at him.

Lowering his fist, Ballen-Ist simply grinned as he listened to [member="Luminara Rikanati"], while watching her face too. She was obviously caught up in the rage technique, however she was doing better than he had been expecting, especially after taking that punch. The Twi'lek's own fist would slam into the Knight's stomach, causing him to stumble backwards a few steps. Her punch had landed, though Ballen-Ist would not stop there, for his hands moved quickly after the impact to for a tight grip around the female's slender wrist. "You're getting me far too excited." Spoke the youth, as he released a more focused wave of telekinesis out in front of him, hoping to hit the bound Twi'lek. He was liking the way Luminara acted, though he'd really need to up his game to survive.

Luminara felt the surge of telekinesis come from [member="Ballen-Ist"], being jerked backward but still being held by her wrist. As this happened, she brought her foot up and attempted to kick his chest, all the while setting off her own terrifying cascade of neon violet lightning.

Now that the illusions were assumed to be done with, Ballen-Ist would smirk confidentially as he quickly stepped to the side, evading [member="Luminara Rikanati"]'s kick. He had always been a good fighter, and prided himself on his combat prowess. Even if the Knight had dodged her first attack, there was little he could do to avoid the next one. So instead of trying to, the Sith simply gave in, releasing a flurry of his own electric tendrils as the Twi'lek did. Both of them would surely be hit due to their close proximity, and the fact that they were holding one another. Sooner or later the rage power would fade, leaving the two to deal with their pain. The pureblood could see the female's lightning shocking him, he simply could not feel it.

The fight was quickly leaning in the Pureblood's favor. Luminara's Rage was diminishing quickly, as was her strength. Her smile faded. She clenched her jaw as she struggled to maintain a standing position. Her legs, her arms, every inch of her body was becoming exhausted from the strain of Ballen's lightning and the pain from the absence of her Rage.

(Cool new sig and tag :))

A dark glow would shine brightly as the two opponents electrocuted each other brutally, having summoned forth a frenzy of Sith lightning. The powerful tendrils of energy that the Knights cast would also tear along the floor, effectively setting the battlefield aflame in moments. Ballen-Ist would begin to ease up on his power output, using it to instead sense his surroundings cautiously. He could never be sure with @Luminara Rikanati, though he did feel her energy levels depleting. As were his, for the controlled rage technique that Ferus had created was wearing off, sending pain jolting through his psyche and body. "You've gotten stronger.." The pureblood would admit, breathing heavily.

"I live.... to surprise you......" Luminara replied with labored breaths. Her lightning began to lessen severely. She began to stagger backward, eventually falling onto her back. Ballen's lightning enveloped her. She closed her eyes, letting the agony sweep across her being.
[member="Ballen-Ist"]

The weakness that [member="Darth Elecebra"] was feeling was not hers alone, for Ballen-Ist too was exhausted. The young Knight's hand was still wrapped tightly around Luminara's wrist, resulting in her pulling him as she staggered. Ballen-Ist had no intention of enjoying the ground like the Twi'lek was so fond of, for the flames that danced along it's surface were quickly spreading. Ceasing his expulsion of lightning completely, the pureblood would pull Luminara into his arms, gazing down at her while she experienced the pain.

She was so beautiful and different than anyone else he had met, he could not help but marvel in her uniqueness as she spoke. "Don't worry, I'll never get bored of you," he assured the Twi'lek, before looking around to see that the two were surrounded by a wall of fire. Hoisting her up into his arms, the youth figured the fight was over, unless she was using her illusions in an effort to surprise him once more. Turning to focus on the flames, the Sith would put his pyrokinesis to use, slowing the fire's atoms and such to create an opening. Walking out of the building and into the back streets, the young Knight would glance down at the female, wondering where they would go now. "How do you feel?" the youth would question curiously.

((AWWWWWW!!! They're gonna be the most disturbingly adorable couple on the site! :p))

Luminara let herself be carried out by the Pureblood. She leaned her head against his shoulder, her eyes still closed. She vaguely remembered that there were people still in the upper levels of the building who most likely didn't know of the fire slowly engulfing the building. This thought brought a small grin to her face. "Like I'm floating on a cloud of red-skinned muscles," She murmured happily. This game that they played with each other, always bordering on lust and rivalry, was starting to feel a bit different than normal. Almost as if there was more to it than that. Luminara had no idea what that meant, but for some reason, she liked the idea. She brought her outermost hand up, limply placing it on the point where Ballen's shoulder met his neck.
