MSE squealed and squalled his fury, desiring to descend to the planet right now. He worked desperately to tap into weapons systems.

It wasn't, as yet, working. The ball was in Sasha's court, so to speak.

Slosh, slosh, slosh went the blood of the innocent.

"Would you rather be under the thumb of the Mandolorians who have a tenancy to be a Rancor in a glass shop?"

Spencer patted down her dress for a moment as she shook her head slightly.

"You will remain on the throne as well as your Sovereignty will remain in tact. Like I told you before, you just have to be loyal and accept the Empire. We are not forcing your hand, you have the choice here. I'm just suggesting that you take what I'm placing on the table."

Viera set targeting algorithims on a list of targets she had already compiled. It was fun, plotting the demise already. The fact was, the planet really had no choice.. they would die like pigs lead to a slaughter.

"For the love of the Force, somebody intercept those Republic starfighters before they escape! Grand Moff Kirk, you have operational command of the fleet. I'm proceeding to the surface, but will remain available on comms."

Ashin stalked for the turbolift, intending to make for the hangar bay and get a shuttle.

Sasha had designed the Imperial gunships, the MAAT's were her first step into the field of design. She knew their weaknesses, and knew how best to exploit their strengths. Most of the vessels weapons were designed for rapid fire and ground support and not for fighting other space vessels. This left the compound lasers on the wings of the vessels and the three forward fixed laser cannons. She couldn't control too many functions at once but she could... "I've unlocked gunnery control to you," she said to the small droid. "You have control of the two wing mounted composite beam lasers and the forward mounted rotary guns. The station is open for you. Don't fire unless you need to."

She jinxed and flew back up reaching into the radio and sending back affirmation beeps in the sloppy imperial code she could remember. Com failures, crew dead, barely in control. No need to go into details about how the crew died. Sam was found of the little droid and that means so was Sasha.

Outside the hangar bay was parked the pink and white ship that was the Toates Bakery. Two Echani were there, setting up a table with all kinds of delicious dessert on it. One of them was eating a muffin.

"This is a delicious muffin," Iestyn said to his partner in baked goods crime. "You must try one! And maybe people will buy them!"

Need.

Unless you need to.

As MSE oriented the guns on the attacking starfighters, he pondered 'needs' and what his, personally, were. He needed to destroy.

But he also needed to survive. Grudgingly, he let the guns de-power. He burbled in disappointment.

Eldoc laughed " I think you need to lay off the drinks, or else you will end up dead or worse. " He said leaning against the dropship's wall. He was glad to be on assignment again, it distracted him.. he was usually drunk or busy, and that was the way he liked it. " I need you sober for the fight if it comes... " He said plotting healing of his blood... it might work.

"Your muffin is dusty!"

Nada smiled and cleaned up the front of the shop. She was ready for buisness! Sitting behind the table next to her brother she devoured a scone.

"I like scones but they're too dry, don't you agree? We should make wet scones."

When the Empress gave Kirk authority over the fleet, he replied to her, "As you wish, Your Majesty."

Kirk then made the order of the interceptors to attempt to cut off the Republic starfighters by boosting power to their engines. He instructed them to focus on evasive maneuvers than destroy them and to lead the starfighters closer to the fleet.

Meanwhile, a squadron of fighters still pursued the unresponsive gunship @[member="Sasha Santhe"] and @[member="MSE-007"] were on. Then, Kirk's comms recieved the message. It would take some time before they realized it was from Sasha and what it meant as none of the officers expected it and were ready to translate immediately.

Iestyn scowled a little while he ate the next available scone, setting up money and food and a mixing bowl in the back. He had to taste test the products and all before selling them to the people. They needed delicious treats! These were paying customers, y'know.

"Mm. Yeah, agreed. These scones are dry. I'll make them wet this time. Anything else that you want?"

Velok shuddered. "You're right, of course. I'm just so tired, Eldoc. So, so tired."

He perked up. "Want to learn to get rid of drunk? Uh..." He whuffled and shuffled in his chair. "I mean, would you like to know how to remove alcohol from your blood?"

He launched into a diatribe, a densely worded, explicitly detailed account of how to use the Force to remove alcohol from one's bloodstream. Because why waste a teaching opportunity. As he spoke, he sweated alcohol.

At last, he was sober.

"Now I just wish I could Force-heal an instant hangover. Feth."

The gunship dodged the incoming fire, it's shields taking the brunt of it. It was a fast ship for a gunship and a transport, and well armored, but the fighters proved far too nimble. "I'm going to try something," Sasha said shunting as much power to the engines as possible. The shuttle moved toward the planet and prepared to slingshot itself around and towards... the fleeing republic fighters. Oh crap. Soon the pair would be faced with not one group of enemy fighters, but two groups. This would get messy if the Republic tried fight it out with them.

"So I am to believe you will guarentee the safety of my people, my family... and our way of life without interruption or Sith sway? ... as long as I agree fealty to the Empire?"

"This is madness father! It is but a trick! See through their lies!" shouted the princess, her cheeks rosy in her response.

"And I am King!" his voice boomed throughout the chamber, resonating with such strength that it was hard to believe that it came from the old king. He had stood, the royal purple of his vinesilk regalia in full display, his golden crown adorned with citrine velmorian gems glinting in the natural light that fell in through the high arched windows over head.

The tone was enough to cause Ozmeri jerk back a bit, her lips drawing into a thin line.

The king then returned his attention to Spenser, awaiting her reply.

Ashin entered the hangar of her Star Destroyer and boarded a waiting vessel -- a very special vessel, Mon Calamari-designed and Sith Empire-built. The Peregrine was thirty-five metres long, incredibly expensive, and home to a cloaking device. The vessel slipped out of the docking bay and cloaked, heading down to the planet.

Iestyn snerked because he loved it when she said that. She had a massive thing for pudding. "You love your chocolate pudding, don't you?" he asked her, going around to the back and finding the pudding mix for her.

"Next thing you'll ask is for me to dip strudel in chocolate pudding and then it'll be all over."

Another ten seconds. Even the kings outburst did not affect the Handmaiden's resolve.
Not a single blink.

Eldoc learned the trick with eagerness, never one to waste training no matter how small a trick it was. " I am sure you can manage.. I am just curious if we will ever deploy, I tire of this gunship already. " Eldoc could hardly believe it was that easy and everything, Surely they would have to go down and kill some Velmorians.
