VISIONS OF THE PAST (Leori)

"Hard feelings? Not for this Jedi," Leori said, almost snotty about it. It's not as though Nathan didn't have it coming. And she didn't do anything that she felt unjustified doing. Her moral compass still worked, and she still followed it.

The Jedi Master opted to let the men talk it out. It was the two of them that had issues larger than their presence to work through.

Nate did care what happens to the kids. Everything he was doing was part of his undercover ops into the underworld. He was trying to stop the bad things before they happen. Like the amulet, he was going to destroy it. First he had to get away from his son and his friend.


"Nate, ..Dad. This isn't you. Please come back." Hawk says quietly. "Be the Jedi that I know you can be." Nate smiles sadly at his son. "It's too late for that Hawk. Follow your path and I will follow mine. Who knows one day it may rejoin again. But not today." He wishes he could tell Hawk the truth.

He turns to leave. He had no desire to fight his son again. Hawk watches Nate walk away toward his ship.. He sighs frustrated.

"Come, let's go and get what we came for, Hawk." Leori suggested as a distraction. Somehow it was too convenient that Nathan was there. Perhaps the visions were all in the family. It was a serious possibility that Nate had what they were looking for already...

"yeah." He was quiet for a moment as they walk in the same direction that Nate came from. "Funny that he was here.. ." Hawk voice trails off. "Frak!" He spins around and begins to run after Nate. "He has the amulet."

He runs along the path tripping a couple of times on some rocks and roots. He was too late. Nate's ship was already heading off planet. "How could I be so stupid?"

The Jedi Master followed his lead, and it seemed that her instinct was correct. He figured it out too. And he whipped past her after he went after the ship and his father.

"Hawk, we can't chase a ship. He's won this round. We should regroup and figure out your next move."

Hawk wanted to yell. He was so mad at himself. "How could be so stupid? This isn't exactly a vacation spot. What the hell was I thinking?" He kicks the diets. "I have no move. No vision. Nothing right now. Sorry you came out here on a wild goose chase."

Though it was tempting to project a calm aura, it would not be worth her time to do so. Hawk needed to work through this on his own.

"I'm not sorry. We gained valuable experience, right? Now, let's get back to the ship and once we're safely on our way, we can meditate and reflect on the experience."

"Yeah I guess." He says sounding a little kid. He couldn't hide his disappointment. He heads back toward the ship. He was covered in mud from the knees down from running after Nate. "Need another shower." He comments.
