Acaadi | Gida'Vida | Samara Raine | Lon Vondon
At Acaadi’s pause, Amani swallowed and looked away, “Yep…” she weakly offered with a nod. They both knew, no need to dwell on it.
She exhaled shakily, quickly composing herself. “At this point you just need to… take it easy. Give yourself the opportunity to heal, physically and mentally.” She gestured at his head, then glanced down at the supplies they just hauled, “And really, that should mean not lugging oversized cargo all over the place!” she spoke a bit more teasingly, trying to shift the conversation to a less dour note.
No sooner did Lon arrive with more stuff to carry, and Amani gave a flat, disingenuous smile, her brow twitching. She looked back to Acaadi,, “Y’know, I’d just love to stay and keep carrying this stuff, but my talents really lie elsewhere, sooo” She pointed her thumbs back to the tent he mentioned, “I guess I'll see you around!”
Amani turned in that direction, then paused and abruptly swiveled back around. “Just don’t do anything too dumb before I get back.” Her tone then quickly turned sincere again, “...Let’s talk later, okay?” With a tug of his sleeve, she pulled back and headed into the tent where Samara was.
“Hi! Long time no see. Anything I can do to... help...?” Amani stared confusedly across the tent, slowly piecing together what was happening, her eyes growing wide as she figured it out.
