The grin his wife would bear would be aptly described as, devilish.

"Perhaps," she took a step back hands coming to perch at her waist. "Do I not have the air to be a pirate queen?" she'd demand with an up lift of her chin. A waggle of her brows came next, as did her knowing giggle.

"I could rein in those scattered pirate gangs and bring them under my charge." she gave a slight flounce, as if brandishing a sword, gesturing with increasing amount of dramatics with every word she spoke.

"And we will raid Sith ships! And then give to the poor!" oh yeah, this ought to be good. Her eyes were bright blue, and despite her age, there was a glow of youth to her expression. If anything, Kira knew well how to have fun, regardless of the decades she wore.

"And all shall fear the dreaded Pirate Queen of Rishi!"

This was likely about the time that Soliael would start chuckling.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I see." Soliael said as if actually examining her plan. "What will you do when your crew mutiny's because you keep giving away all of their treasure?"

It was a good point really. "Pirates aren't known for their golden hearts, you know."

Most pirates anyway. There had been a few in galactic history that had been of good nature...or better nature then most. All of them still stole, pillages, and grabbed whatever they could whenever they could. It didn't help that no Pirate in the last eight hundred years really had that great of a reputation. There hadn't been a Pirate King or some legendary name to strike fear into the hearts of people. Soliael didn't really know why, perhaps it was because of the lack of governments.

He mused for a moment more.

It wasn't that he doubted his wife's ability to be a pirate Queen, more that he doubted most Pirates would tolerate what Kira would consider "piracy". That and, he simply enjoyed teasing her.

"Well they will have their pay still!" she would explain, saying in counter as a finger gave a tap against his chest. A grin would ensue along the crest of their light banter. In her mind, that made sense right? They could use a portion of the funds for maintenance and crewing.

"Come on," Kira would beckon her husband with a crook of her finger. They had much to do and things to see. Out there, beyond the chain of islands was an entire world to explore. Excitement went buzzing through her veins and the Lorrdian couldn't wait.

"We'll see the sort of ilk these pirates may be." she teased, blue eyes dancing. "Maybe you'll make a crew of your own?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

Soliael let out a scoff. Piracy had never really appealed to him, not in any real sense of the word anyway. He had plenty of opportunity to go into that particular business, especially since his Oma controlled one of the galaxies largest Shipyards, but the idea of it...well there wasn't really anything about the life style that he truly enjoyed. The former False God had always connected with nature on a base level, sure he was a technomancer, but...well being stuck on a ship for months, perhaps even years seemed like a nightmare to him.

He wanted, needed, to be among the elements.

It was why even on this trip Kira and Soliael would hardly stay on The Freya at all times, to the contrary, they would find and explore new worlds. See things that had never been seen, do things that one could really only dream about. Piracy didn't offer that, it offered a freedom of a different sort. "Perhaps I could be the Pirate God."

Soliael suggested it, a smile on his face.

"Everyone needs something to pray to." There was a slight smile on his face as they began to wander through the sands. "I have practice."

A solid punch was sent straight onto the former false God's shoulder. It held a good enough strength to it, but not so much so as to cause harm as much as poke fun at Soliael.

"Oh sure you have," Kira would state with wry note to her voice. He may well have been worshiped as a Moross God for years, but that wasn't what he was to her. Truth be told, having someone venerated as a god was rather.. odd for Kira. Especially knowing that the person behind that title was no more than a mortal like she. Just gifted with the Force.

"Your godly days are over, kiddo." she'd say, blinking with a scrunch of her eyes. One hand came up to block the rays of the sun. Goodness it was bright out here!

"Last thing I need is more nubile priestesses falling over themselves at you."

[member="Kira Talith"]

He smiled slightly. Soliael of course had no intention of ever taking the title of God up again, mostly because the idea seemed...somewhat childish now. At the time it had been a grasp for power, a way to garner knowledge and take control. It had worked of course, but now he realized that it would have been easier in other ways. That was an amusing fact, and one that was really offered with hindsight. He smiled slightly and pulled his wife close, snaking an arm around her and nudging her to his side.

"I doubt that would happen." Soliael said as he gently tickled her side.

"Look at me." He gestured. "I'm downright ancient now, beard, long hair, gray hairs."

It was an oddity really, not something he'd thought about at all, but something to be noted. He would live for several more decades, probably centuries in fact, but as of late he had gotten to appear...older. His beard and hair had turned to white, there lines of his face had grown a bit more pronounced, everything about him seemed to age a bit.

Oh he still felt as young as he had seventy years ago, could still run mile upon mile and fight with the best, but he looked older. Perhaps it was a result of his odd genetic diversity, or perhaps it was simply an effect of his lifestyle, either way Soliael was certainly starting to look the part of the aged father.

His command would prompt the Lorrdian to lift her chin up, meeting the bright citrine of his eyes. His arms drew her close, dancing along her ribcage in a faint tickle that had her squirming until she faced him head on.

His answer only prompted a shaking of her head. As if! A half snort and a wry smile soon grew upon the Jedi Master's lips. Her hands came up, cupping his cheeks and feeling the faint tickle of that peppered beard.

"Oh, don't give me none of that!" Kira would chide in mild humor, letting her hands slid down from his face down and across the broad reach of his shoulders. He might be older, but Kira was well aware of what lay underneath his clothing. It was there in the firm musculature of the former false god. In the ripple of sinew and muscle, in the strength and power that lay there.

"Age seems to have only made you more attractive." Kira said with no lack of an appreciative survey of Soliael's figure. "I'm quite sure there are plenty who might turn rather silly minded at the sight of you." there came a waggle of her brows and then the tiptoe push of her own diminutive form to grant him a kiss along his jaw.

[member="Kira Talith"]

He squeezed her gently, placing a kiss on her lips as he leaned down. Their height had always been a point of humor when it came to interacting with others, many not believing what they saw. For Kira and Soliael, it had become normal. They difference of course had brought its challenges, but in the end all things could be overcome with a little bit of hardwork and some imagine, sometimes more imagination than one might think.

"Well." The former false god began. "I'm pretty sure one such person is nearby."

He teased her, gently grazing his lips over hers. "Should we try to find her."

His fingers laced down her backside, gently spreading over curves and flexing for half a second as he pulled her up and against himself.

There wasn't a worry about anyone seeing them, the island was deserted and they would have some time before they made it anywhere near anything resembling civilization. Of course this little distraction would mean it would be a bit more time before their true adventure set off, but Soliael and Kira were hardly pressed for time.

There was a hitch of her breath and a darkening of Kira's eyes. When her husband drew her up against him, Kira would loop her arms around his shoulders. It was a bit of leverage, one she used to her advantage to draw herself near. His ring joined them in ways that went beyond the Force, perhaps far more intimately so. His emotions traversed through that bridge that connected them, and Kira was the mirror that would reflect them back.

One could ask if what she felt was only that which her husband felt, but Kira would dare say that it was but a combination of both of their desires. Even without the ring, Kira was drawn to Soliael's law of gravity. She was a constant satellite of his blazing sun.

Her soft giggle was muted by the press of her lips following the line of his jaw. Over two decades of indulging and mapping every inch of the former false god's toned figure managed to embolden the diminutive blonde. It was there in her eyes, in the crooked upward cant at the corner of her mouth. "Sure you can find her?"

Kira teased, giving a small wiggle to draw away from him.

"She might be quite the slippery thing." she'd continue as fingers traced their way south, a lick of her lower lip indicative of her thoughts. A tug at a belt loop encouraged him to follow her, heading towards a bit of shade. Those half pirate and half spacer clothes would be no barrier to her nimble fingers as they worked upon the ties at his waist.

"Oh I'm a pretty good hunter." His belt went flying into the sands as he spoke, torn away by the hands of his wife. For as long as he had known her, for as long as they had been married, Kira had never been afraid of making the first move. Of course more often then not he was the one that pushed things into motion, either through their connective bond born of the ring or through his own sneak attacks, but Kira had never been one to shy away from taking control, like she was now.

"I just hop-" Soliael was silenced for a moment as Kira nearly tossed him to the soft sands and climbed atop him. "She's not too much for me."

The beach they were on was secluded, the island they stood upon was empty, and there was no worry about getting caught. Even if they were...what was the worst that could happen. he grinned slightly as his hands flew to her hips, his fingers pressing in and his lips moving up against hers. "Dangerous little things they can be."

He grinned, then buried himself in his wife's neck.

It was some time later that the Taith and his wife were attempting to gather their breath. The Rishi sun would bake down on the pair, but the sheen of sweat along with a cool sea breeze managed to keep things rather cool. Laying on top of her husband’s broad chest, Kira rested her flushed cheek against his right pectoral. A giggle would shake her petite body, still glowing from the bout of outdoor activity.

“Mmm… I think, Sparky.” the old nickname for the former false god floated between them with notable mirth,” that you have been pillaged thoroughly.”

A hand would lazily drive over his arm with affection and a hint of possessiveness, the blonde sprite picking up her chin to glance down at the man beneath her.

“I’ll claim you as the spoils of war.” came her snarky quip, a crooked grin widening over her mouth as her fingers walked the length of his shoulder.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Will you now?" Soliael sounded bemused.

If anyone in the galaxy could claim him, it was Kira. That was simple fact, their bond having lasted over two decades, through the birth of four children, through trials and tribulations that many would ahve thought impossible. The words amused him though, mostly because thinking of himself as a spoil of war was rather amusing. The former False God had never lost a battle, or perhaps it was better to say he had never lost a war. The one battle that he had lost was to Kira, though he had gotten away from that in the end.

"What if I decide to escape?" He asked her. "Do you think you can stop me?"

She could tackle him again, but would that work?

Part of him was aching to find out, to play another little game, but eventually they would have to leave this beach, if only to continue upon their journey.

Bending down, the petite blonde would flash the former false god a rather mischievous grin. A dance of her fingers would trace up his ribcage, along with a perk of her brow. "I have my ways Sparky," she told him, radiating a confidence that was hard to deny. Add to it the slight upward cant of her chin, both hands sweeping over the broadness of his chest with a lazy possessiveness the Jedi Master indulged in. She may be of the Order, but with Devin, there was little restraint to hold her back. Indeed, the entire length of their courtship and marriage would appear to others to be one long honeymoon. They were so besotted with each other, it was evident in the way they would linger in each other's embrace, in the touch of their hands. In the expression that permeated within their eyes.

Theirs was a love that saw no barriers and gave utterly, and completely. Nothing was held back.

"Methods to coax you to my will." she'd suggest with a wag of her brows. However, it was also laced with a bit of a challenge. When was the last time they had a good bout to see how the other would fair in a fight? Each had their own skillsset and strengths. Not to mention their weaknesses. Being with each other this long meant that they were so in tune with the other, that could very well become a handicap with them both. The drift of her palms would slide over his shoulders and down to his arms, until they met the shells of his hands. There, a fan of her fingers went to stroke the delicate and sensitive valleys between his fingers, interlocking them with his own. A tug and an upward pull would guide his arms until they would be pinned over his head. One hovering Lorrdian would smirk in mischief at the warrior beneath her, strands of her honey blonde hair cascading down over her shoulder and tickling his chest.

"You ever wonder what would have happened had you not escaped on Metalorn?" she asked, bringing the lighthearted subject towards one that bloomed in her mind. "If I had kept you under my guard?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

He mused for a moment. There was something to it, the merit. Capture would have certainly put a hold on his plans, he would have been sent to a Republic prison and kept there, likely put on trial. His identity as Moridin's son had not been public then, though it no doubt would have come out eventually under that much scrutiny. The Republic, even then, had never too kind to the idea of Sith and their children, Soliael would surely have suffered due to his fathers former place within the Empire.

"I would have escaped eventually." He said quietly.

"I escaped the Pit." Soliael pointed out. "They thought that place was foolproof."

Granted, they hadn't known he could use the force so it would have been different, but eventually he would have gotten out either way. That wasn't to say the Jedi weren't capable of keeping people prisoner, but Soliael had his way, and of course his means. "You couldn't have watched me all the time after all."

His palms would squeeze hers.

There was no doubt in his mind that he would have eventually escaped capture, even without the training of the aing-tii. There was always a way out, no matter how secure a facility was or how long people had worked to keep someone inside. Inevitably one point of the system would have failed, and that would have been the point that Soliael himself could abuse.

“No…” she agreed, moving to drape herself over her beloved. A small kiss was set upon his bearded chin, enjoying the clench of his fingers. His hands were far larger than her own. Upon first glance, hers almost were akin to that of a youngling when comparing the difference. She still was the shortest of their family, all the children had managed to glean the genetic blessing of the Talith height.

Relaxing her grip to caress the palm and fingers of his hands, Kira would mull over things. “But I wonder… I wonder if anything would have changed.” aquamarine eyes would pan up to meet the blazing suns of Soliael’s. “With you.” a pause. “With me.”

Another pause.

“With Nemene.”

[member="Kira Talith"]

His fingers tightened for a moment. This wasn't something he liked to think about often, not because it made him upset, but because he knew that it brought up bad memories for Kira. His wayward sister never came up in conversation, not with anyone really, she wasn't something that was often talked of. There was irony in calling her wayward, mostly because out of all of his fathers children she was the one that had most taken after him. She had been cruel, even evil by most standards. Nemene had truly taken after his father.

He and Sven were the wayward ones.

"I don't know." Soliael said softly. He could look into the past, dig through his memories, theorize about what could have happened, but ultimately there was no way to tell. No way to really say what would have happened. Perhaps had he been jailed his sister never would have made her move in the first place, perhaps she would have stayed in obscurity, never tried to move outside of the galaxy and her own realm. He frowned for a moment.

"Hard to say." The False God said. "Time flows in strange ways, even the Aing-Tii couldn't understand it."

They were masters of time and space, they were the ones that had taught him and Amorella. "Everything moves the way it does due to the will of the force."

The Will of the Force.

That was a constant that Soliael and Kira often shared and agreed upon. What path they may have taken, it ultimately was the will of the Force that brought them together. It was only curiosity at their path that had the Lorrdian Jedi Master wonder aloud that trek.

A soft smile shone towards the former false god, a flex of her fingers upon the hands that she held pinned upon the ground by his head came next. Nemene had done her best to break her. Had done her best to carve apart Kira both literally and figuratively. While it had taken years to come to terms in the wake of the torture and her survivor’s guilt with Oliver, Kira was a peace with it. As she had told Soliael over two decades ago, he was not Nemene. Her actions did not color Kira’s perspective of Sol.

“Always the will of the Force,” she’d murmur, giving a slight wiggle as she hovered over him. There was a softening in her expression, and through their bond she could feel the vestiges of each lap of those emotion tipped waves.

“There is nothing I regret, Devin.” Kira told him, flexing her grip against his hands. Bare as they were, open for anyone to see here upon the beach, the Lorrdian wanted to make that clear.
“I love you.” she added. “I love our life and our children. There is nothing I would change.”

[member="Kira Talith"]

"I love you too." It was really that simple.

While his family...part of his family at least had some troubles, he had never really wanted to change them. He knew that Sven was his own man, an enigma really. He was his brother, but the two of them rarely spoke. He and his wife stuck to themselves really, hidden away on a star destroyer within the depths of space. For a time he had spoken to his sibling more, but now...it was rare that they even sent one another messages. His sister? He had long forgotten her truth be told, not because of what she was or what she had done, but because she had been more of a part of his father than anyone else.

Sometimes it was better to simple forget.

"I wonder if he ever really cared about us." Soliael said suddenly. "My father."

A pensive mood took him. Of course Moridin never really knew that he had been alive, his mother had wisely kept that knowledge from him, but the Dread Lord had known of Sven and Nemene, had realized that both were alive. From what he knew Moridin had cared about his daughter at least, had groomed her in the outer rim, but had she been meant as simply another tool? Or had there been genuine love there. It was something that he had thought about before. Had his father really been the monster that everyone thought? He had once thought so, but as he grew older, as he watched his children become adults, he had begun to question it.

Kira Talith

[member="Soliael Devin Talith"]

“I’d like to believe that every parent cares for their child.” Kira told him truthfully, perhaps a bit naively. One last flex of her grip within his own and then she fanned her fingers up, letting his hands go.

“I never knew your father.” Moridin, as she had known him by rumor, had been the Sith Emperor long before her time. She recalled his aggressive campaigns and only what word of mouth had managed to divulge. A knight then, Kira’s focus had been on internal investigations with local law enforcement. Kira knew that Soliael had joined the Sith to learn more about his father, to search for answers. Some of which would still never be answered, waiting in the rear of his mind.

Answers that perhaps even Moridin himself wouldn’t be able to provide.

Her fingertips gingerly went stroking a path up his wrists and forearm. Slowly she drew herself up, straightening upon her perch above him. Knees lightly squeezed at his hips, her palms sweeping over the broad expanse of his chest until they came to rest upon his abdomen.

“But there is something about seeing a part of yourself in your children’s eyes that is poignant enough to have a sliver of affection. I guess…. To a degree, that is your legacy.”

[member="Kira Talith"]

He frowned for a moment. Perhaps he just found it unlikely. He knew that Kira liked to see the good in everyone, that she liked to think everyone had that quality that made them at least somewhat human, but he himself found it more difficult. He was a cynic at the best of times, and when it came to his father...well, things weren't exactly simple on that end. The former False good shook his head, not discounting the words of his wife but simply realizing that the subject didn't matter.

His father was dead, that was the end of the tale.

"Perhaps." Soliael said as his fingers laced onto her hips. "I guess we'll never really know, but that's alright."

Whether or not his father felt pride in his children, whether or not he had plans for each of them, it didn't matter. Nemene was dead, Sven had always been out of his fathers reach, and Soliael himself? Well, he had enough strength and knowledge to challenge nearly anyone in the galaxy. His father was dead and gone, his return nearly impossible. There was no use worrying about the past, especially in a place like this where they were supposed to be finding their future. "Let's go find some pirates, Shall we?"
