Weekend Treasure Hunt 2: Diamond in the Rough

Location: Portside; Outside the Detention Block aka Prison Cells
...apparently the gunfire had attracted some attention. Not the living kind either. As Laith turned down another corridor, following his datapad towards his destination, he heard moans emanating from behind him and tuning in to the three hundred and sixty degree arc of vision his hud provided he'd have groaned when he saw the silhouette of more undead lurching into view. There were several of them this time and none of them looked entirely friendly as they began coming after the Mandalorian...

...like the first undead Laith had encountered these creatures were relatively slow moving, they didn't run, however if he had to stop they would be able to catch up with him which is why Laith decided that there was no time like the present to make a big bang. Reaching for one of the grenades on his belt Laith would have unhooked it before priming the charge as he pivoted around on his feet to face the advance of the undead. Mentally doing a count of them as he continued backpedaling Laith would have numbered them to be at least half a dozen in total. He shook his head and rumbled from beneath the helm he wore...
"I'll see you on the other side boys."...

...then with the Fragmentation Grenade primed Laith would have swung his arm backwards before giving it an underhanded lob into the mob of creatures lurching towards him. It would have hit the floor and rolled into their midst before...

BOOM!!!

...the explosion would have been heard, echoing, throughout this area of the Cathedral Ship ensuring that any other undead may have also been awakened but also that anyone living would have been alerted to it. As for the damage itself the undead were ripped to pieces. Black ichor and body parts were thrown in all directions. The Undead might not have been incapacitated altogether but they were certainly the worse for wear and slower; having half a bofy left tends to do that...

...Laith would have turned away, continuing further down the corridor and leaving the destruction behind him after the grenade had detonated. According to his datapad he wouldn't have been far from his destination and rounding another corridor he would have found it. The Entrance to the Detention Block (the prison cells). After immediately trying to gain entry it became clear the door wasn't opening, likely sealed via a terminal, which meant that Laith would have to synch his datapad with the door controls on the outside...

November shook lightly from the explosion that rocked the ship from deep within it's bowels. She raised an eyebrow for a moment and looked up as best as she could from her current position, but it didn't take long for her to realize that time was running out. She quickly stuffed the broken saber into her satchel and brought herself to her feet, blood draining down her neck slowly as she continued to snap holographs. Her free hand would search her pouch for an actibandage. As she found it, she ripped it free from it's confines within her belt, brought the package to her mouth and ripped it open with the teeth, spitting out the wrapping.

For a moment she would stop her holographing and bring the bandage to her shoulder and neck area, applying it with a hiss. The antiseptic ointment and topical solution settling in causing her momentary pain followed by soothing. She took a deep breath in and went back to snapping holographs, bending down and back up to the desk until she reached the other side of the bridge, where a dusty black container caught her attention. Her eyebrow raised in question as she began brushing away the keypad. "What an odd place for you..." She would tug at the handle only to discover it to be locked. "Well now, we have a solution for that..." She said with a smirk as she reached behind her and pulled a small charge from her explosive pack. She began disassembling it, pulling free the actual explosive material.

She would wet her fingers multiple times with her water and then the charge, placing it on the edges of the door.

She took a few steps backwards and brought her pistol up to aim at the base of the charge. "Fire in the hole..." She said as she pressed the trigger. The resulting explosion as the bullet impacted the charge and detonated was a bit harder and louder than she anticipated and the door was more resistant than she thought. As the smoke cleared, she watched the door simply fall off with a loud groan and a thud. A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she holstered her weapon and approached the small vault.

Neutral Good for the Win
He would wait a while before moving on to the corridors, what was it that threw him off. It was like this was some sort of cursed monster, the force had he knew how to feel was throwing him off. When it came down to it, he would just toss the feeling of anger aside. It was more like dread, that everyone here had died for a cause that they wanted to win. Why was this done to them?

When he was passing by a few rooms, he noticed that he was being followed. The sound of groans could be heard from afar as they approached closer, but he knew that it was too late to go back. Taking his time, he would try to find a better route and only killing if needed to. They would move at a slower pace, as time would allow them and soon found that the sounds were gone. It seemed that he would be free, until the vents above him had cracked apart and monsters would swarm down at them from above!

Two explosions rocked quickly after each other, knocking me to the ground and ruining any semblance of order I had left, which actually did save my life at that point so perhaps I should be thankful to whoever helped me out here. Again, both sabres lashed out and would have caught me by the neck, hadn’t I stumbled there and then.

Now, you gotta understand, it ain’t that I am a total noob and getting my ass handed to me by a corpse. This thing was quick, real quick and the strength behind every attack was just out of this world. I ain’t sure if it’s because of the glowing green eyes or whatever, but this ain’t a… regular zombie. Those words made me cringe, but it was now a thing. This was an Elite Zombie Ghostmaster, canon.

As I stumbled, I lashed out with my sabre cutting hard and deep through the tendons and other stuff in the legs of the Elite Zombie, this made him agitated to say the least and I used this situation to my advantage. By cutting off his arms too, in a upwards flying motion.

I howled in agreement with these sudden turns in events, and finished him off with a single stroke to the neck. Blood sprayed everywhere and ruined the rest of my outfit, but there wasn’t really an other way here. Quickly I looked around, but couldn’t find any targets and then I made a decision.

This place was too hardcore for me to handle, so I snatched the two lightsabres. Which would have two distinct crystals in it, which I wasn’t aware of right about now. But they were finely engraved and sue me, I like artistics.

Then I turned around and started to move out of the training room. Too hardcore, sorry.

...interfacing with the door terminal via the datapad on his forearm proved a tad more challenging than it had been when Laith had downloaded the general layout of the ship but he was able to make some headway via trial and error. Once the datapad had synched with the door itself it was just a matter of understanding the system and Laith was fairly certain his first attempt to open the door only caused it to seal tighter which made him utter..."Well at least I know I can't lock myself out more."...then he would begin to search the interface for anything that looked familiar. Obviously the codes used a thousand years ago were not all that similar to the ones used today but like it had already been mentioned trial and error was a wonderful thing...

...accessing, no, well he just had to go back and try again. Laith looked up at the door and then back down towards his datapad before pressing one of the tabs in his interface. As Laith pushed the tag he became instantly aware of something gripping his leg and looking down he saw one of the zombies, which he'd blown up earlier, had crawled all the way to him and was now attempting to take a bite out of the beskar armor on his shin. Without hesitation he'd pull his leg free, kicking off to drive the creature back, before stomping down hard. There was a crunch and his boot was covered in the black ichor remnants of what would have been the undeads brain as well as bone matter. He heard the door open and looked ahead...

...just as Laith was looking ahead to see the door to the detention block open a clawed hand swung down, scraping itself across the front of his helm and actually leaving faint but visible marks in its wake. The Mercenary stumbled backwards, his visor flickering briefly as it compensated for the damage, until his back hit the wall of the corridor he was in and lifting his Assault Rifle quickly he'd have squeezed the trigger and put a burst of three rounds through the head of the creature he'd just been assaulted by dropping it. Laith took a moment to catch his breath...

...when he pushed from the wall a moment later he would head directly inside the detention block. As he did this his head would turn and he'd make a brief but efficient survey of the area, prisoner cells were nearby, however what caught his eye just then was the dark pearl sitting directly on the desk that would have been used by the detention block administrator. It was a Krayt Dragon Pearl if Laith had assumed correctly...

As she approached the secured vault, there was a sound of groaning and creaking. A slender eyebrow would raise as she turned to the left and right. "What is up with this curs-" Before she could finish the sentence, the floor collapsed beneath her with a loud crash. November tumbled in a heap of body parts and armor, occasionally sliding down a grimy, dusty filled chute. The weight of herself, the components of the vessel and the fault must have been more than the chute could have handled because it too collapsed mid-way through.

*CRASH*

She landed harshly through the roof and onto a pile of bones and debris, including the opened vault that send a red colored crystal across the cell block she was in. She groaned softly as the soft alarms ringed in her ears causing her to stir a bit. "Damn that hurt..." She murmured, slowly lifting herself up into a propped up position. Dirt and debris filled the air in the prison area, her lenses showed a bit of static as she looked about the area, the lenses shifting through different filters until it came to one that would be able to see through all the clouds of muck.

"Well now, not my ideal place to be..." She said with a huff.

Corridors en route to prison cells

There was a large bang. Tracyn snapped his head inward. It seemed to be coming to the same place that whatever was calling him was originating from. He moved towards it, before he caught the final moments of a few unfortunate undead. However, as he looked back, the entity appeared again.

"You're not walking out of here, Tracyn."

The entity whispered in his ear. However, he felt his mind being probed - and ultimately failing. The entity felt enraged, as it failed to penetrate Tracyn's well trained mind. He felt it's supernatural hand grasp his durasteel chest plate, and threw him violently. Tracyn landed amongst the horde of undead, sliced apart by the brutality of the fragmentation grenade. Those that remained sentient tried to attack Tracyn, but a quick swipe of the green blade of the lightsaber brought an end to the wicked ways of the zombies around him. He turned to face a Mandalorian. Showing his lack of hostility, he switched off his lightsaber. He stared at @Ermec Laith.

"The force calls me. I suppose greed calls you."

[member="November Sinclair"] has become the first noticed by the ship as having taken items from one area to another area, however mistakenly. Possessive spirits, angered at the disturbance, begin to awaken even more vigorously. This was a Pius Dea cathedral ship, a center of their cult, an invasion vessel carrying armies of Terrible Glare Forcewielders.

The undead guardians continue to rise, many of them focusing on Sinclair. Her location becomes so choked with spirits that it can be sensed by all Force-users throughout the ship.

Location: Detention Block/Prison Cells
...Laith made eyes at the dark Krayt Dragon Pearl, it had credit signs flashing in the back of his mind, and he moved closer to take it in his left hand before raising it higher, towards his visor, so that he could take a better look. Definitely worth the trip. With the pearl gripped in the palm of his left hand he would have stowed it away on his person before being alerted to the sound of further moans which would indicate that he was not alone...

...using the arced vision of his hud as well as turning his head Laith would have seen several more zombies causing him to raise his assault rifle right before something unexpected occurred. Above him the roof had started to collapse. Well not directly above him but in the general vacinity; it was the roof of the detention block and Laith could only help but roll his eyes underneath his helm as though he could only imagine what was happening now...

...CRASH!...

....the roof literally came down and crushed the undead that Laith had been looking at while filling the area with dust and debris making it hard to see anything. Of course Laith would take the moment to dive back behind the desk where he'd discovered the Krayt Dragon Pearl and shield himself from the blast and it was here he would make another discovery. As Laith went back behind the desk he'd have actually come face to face with a skeletal body, dead for a long time now, who must have thought to hide the same as he had just done. Looking closer at the tattered robes that he wore Laith would have seen something cylinder in appearance. An old lightsaber...

...his left hand free now that he had the Krayt Dragon Pearl stowed on his person Laith would take the lightsaber before coming up from behind the desk. The Assault Rifle was held in his right hand, trained ahead as best as possible, and his voice would have rung out metallic from beneath his helm...
"Anyone alive?"...he wasn't sure, if there was someone they could be friend or foe but certainly not both. While he called out, surveying the area, Laith would flick at the obvious switches on the lightsaber but he couldn't activate it...

...obviously the Mandalorian didn't know how lightsabers worked, it could be he was flicking the wrong switch or it could be that this lightsaber had the -Solari- crystal inside of it and wouldn't activate for someone not attuned to the lightside of the force. On that note it was still an archaic lightsaber and would look good on his mantle...

"Oh poodoo..." She quickly scrambled to her feet and ran for edge of the prison cell, she quickly brought up her foot and kicked the edge of the cell multiple times. "Damnit!" With a loud groan, the cell door would groan and break down. She would turn just in time to reach down and grab the red jewel laying on the floor behind her before a Spirit of Terrible Glare took a swipe at her. She could feel the nauseating sensation of the dark side presence overwhelming her as she continued to rush forward, dodging and weaving as they rose from different directions. Her hands quickly manipulating the satchel and the jewel, when something caught her eye.

"No...." The presence of the light-side caught her attention although faint, a corpse in the corner of one of the cell blocks held an ancient looking crystal, a white-yellow glow coming from it. She quickly dashed into the rusted out cell and attempted to jerk it free. Well it didn't work that way, the entire thing came with it, arm and all, clean out of the socket. She would turn around only to be faced with a plethora of angry spirits coming at her, now faced with no other choice, she faced the wall and sent a rush of Force energy out of her free hand into the rusted durasteel frame. An explosion occurred on the other-side, allowing her free access to the corridor beyond. She quickly jumped through and began running down the corridor.

The wall exploded outwards into the corridors beyond, allowing her a somewhat of a route towards what she hoped was the ships...someone ships...hell the escape pods would do even if they half-hearted worked!

"Hey, you! Guy! We gotta go! I pissed some bad things off!" She yelled out through the comlink, open channel to Michael.

Morgaine was... A special case. Sometimes. To be frank, she had no idea how she ended up on the ship that she was currently on. She blamed the giggledust. She didn't remember signing up for the team she was apparently now part of. She blamed the Guilea. She wasn't sure what happened to her hair, now cut off just above the shoulders, ends all burned. She blamed her lightsaber. She didn't know where her lightsaber was. She blamed the death sticks.

She was tired. And she blamed the alcohol for that one.

Which was exactly why, when [member="Romeo "]was looking through for the crew on the ship, he would have to find her where she was; having just fallen asleep in the engine room, with a half lit death stick in between her lips, snoring loudly.

An intense feeling of dread made me stumble, something was wrong, something was very, very, very wrong and I didn’t like it, didn’t like it at all. Yet again my thirst for adventure found me in a very… peculiar situation, I started running and started running hard. Until my eyes were drawn upon a third object, a crystal in the dirt, I quickly grabbed it and kept running.

Tried finding a new exit way to the hangars, until I stumbled upon a Ghost. Feth. This wasn’t going to be any good, tried to screech to a halt and nope out of there, but alas… it was just then that the girl started talking into my receiver.

Which... wasn't good, nope... not good at all. The Ghost turned around and started screaming at the sight of me.

"Well... I am having a little bit of a problem here myself, so... yeah."

"If you don't meet me at your ship, I'm stealing it...got me!?" She said as she turned slightly while running, ripping free both a nine-banger and a cryo-ban grenade. Both grenades went off with a loud multiple-bang and then a sudden sound of exploding ice. Why she grabbed a cryo-ban grenade, she would have to figure out later, someone must have messed with her grenades before this fray. She slid down the hall and came right up to the Hanger Bay, and began running across, the geospatial map pinging the location of [member="Michael Sardun"]'s vessel.

She quickly turned left and began sprinting that direction, her weapons slapping against her harshly. "I mean it, you have 2 minutes. Use the Force!"

Aedan's head jerks up as he senses something and he bites back a curse starting to sprint down the hall way as he draws on the force ignore the taint in it as he focuses on using force body. He would rest and recover from this later but right now speed was required. He didn't like the way this felt but he owed someone a lot and he wasn't leaving here without that crystal. His violet eyes gleamed as he started to spin and slash diving forward through a door in the corridor as he slashed at a zombie. He was just trying to keep them from following him at any speed. He would prefer to not stop and deal with them that was when he could be located. He would rather not be found by whatever had already found someone. His eyes scanned the ships corridors slowly as he activated his com and had his R8 unit lift the fighter off of the ground and take it out away from the ship a ways then shut down until another order was given to pick him up.

...Laith didn't receive a response, it was also difficult to see through the dust and debris as it cleared and his visor attempted to compensate with different modes of vision, then a wall would explode outwards causing the Mandalorian to take a knee behind the cover of the desk where he'd initially dove behind as well. As he took cover Laith thought he might have heard someone yelling that they should get out but he wasn't sure however with all of these explosions it seemed like practical advice. After all this ship was old and could come apart at any second...
...he finally saw Tracyn as well, everything going on seemed to have distracted him..."The force? You can keep it. Credits are real."....

...then with his own treasures in tow Laith would have risen back to his feet and moved towards the entrance of the Detention Block/Prison Cells whrre'd he'd go around Tracyn leaving him to loot the area to his hearts content. He'd stow the archaic lightsaber on his person, out of sight, as he went. Both hands then returned to his Assault Rifle which was once again held across his chest as he moved. Once he was outside of the detention block Laith would have sent a transmission via his comms to the Astrometric Droid on the Light Freighter intructing it to...
"Prep for departure. I'm coming in hot which means we need to leave in a hurry."...there were several beeps in response and then the comms went dead...

...there was no easy way to put it but Laith did not have a good feeling about this tomb ship which is why his pace quickened, bolstered by the synthetic muscle bonded throughout his body, until his running faster than a normal man should have been able to unaided by the force. Looking ahead Laith would monitor his huds arc of vision so that he remained aware of anything behind him as well not wanting to be caught unprepared...

Odium found himself in a large chamber near the bottom of the ship. The spirits here were not Sith, they were not Jedi, but their power and hate was beyond anything he had yet seen. His big olive green hand reached into his satchel and took hold of a crystal blood red in color that now shone with ethereal light from more than two thousand spirits. He knew he would draw attention now in the depths alone. He knew his life was again on the line and to a degree he had not yet encountered. He held up the crystal to chest level as a twisted powerful presence manifested in the center of the room. It wasn't alone but it would seem it was most hungry and full of hate.

<<Hate.>> Odium said as he drew deeply on the force through his necklace and lashed out at the Spirit with the intent of adding its power to his own.

I blinked yet again, which was quickly followed by a gulp when the Ghost started gliding towards me, ain’t nothing good coming from that, which probably was the understatement of the century. But hey, it’s a situation with a lot of pressure, can’t really think straight right now, of course then the girl messaged me again about stealing my damn ship. I scoffed at that, her and this whole quest. Why was I here again? two lightsabres and a crystal? That ain’t worth dying over, that was for sure.

Inwardly I sighed and replied while looking at my options. “Good advice, helpful. Thanks. I will need five minutes, and if you leave without me I will hunt you for the rest of my days as a Force Ghost. So there’s that.”

My eyes closed and I drew in the Force, then I ran like the wind straight at the fether.

November growled. "This was your idea! I just came along for the ride! You have 3 minutes...!" She yelled as she burst through the Hanger Bay, up and over debris. She launched herself in the air, flipping end over and before she came to the next corridor. ~Home stretch~ She thought to herself, it had to be! There was no way this ship was some crazy maze that she could get that lost into and besides her electronics didn't lie.

[member="Ermac Laith"] ran past Tracyn, the padding of his beskar plated boots ringing in his ears. Before the screams of the force. Misery and rage flowed through Tracyn, tempting earlier demons to rise again. But they were expelled, as Tracyn stood amongst the storms of the force ghosts. He pulled the force into his hands, and spread his presence backwards. The ancient guardians fled at the light siders presence, retreating to gain back strength.

He moved towards the Mandalorian, faster than he was thanks to his force ability and his Teras Kasi training. He moved along side him, calmly speaking - in Mando'a. He spoke in the Concord Dawn accent, fluently. Ermec would definitely realize the dialect and the fluency of which he spoke that Tracyn was a Mandalorian - and in the opinion of some, is.

<<"There's something in that lightsaber that I'm called to. You can keep the lightsaber, I just want to know what's in there that keeps yanking at me.">>

He spoke calmly, and activated his lightsaber, swiping away an undead guardian.
