Welcome to the Jedi Academy - The Republic Dominion of Ossus

Well... This is embarrassing. Kentarch thought to himself. The Sith Lord had only moved a few feet since he went blind. Taking one careful step after another in the direction he though he had came. Every so often he stopped to try and end the photokentic barrier he had unintentionally trapped himself in. Since given he was still blind as a bat, he was not making great progress at all.

After taking another stride, he slammed into a wall, or a pillar, or whatever stone obstruction was in his path. Stumbling backwards he almost fell over. "Kark this." he muttered to himself. He wanted to open himself up to the force and let his other sense guide him. However now he feared such an action would have even more dire consequences. Thus as he regained his balance he focused on putting one foot in front of the other.

She gathered the younglings in groups and the Padawans in teams to look over them. A few of them had been skeptical but when the mention that it ‘looks good for knighthood reviews’ came up they all changed their minds right quick. Each padawan she met was handed two or three younglings to take care of. Their young age made them perfect for relating to the younglings, yet they were knowledgeable enough to understand the virtues of peace and calm in a crisis such as this.

“Take care of your students and I will make sure to speak well of you all to Grandmaster Raaf.” A half-truth, but it got them working. “Remember, what’s important here is to keep calm. Don’t practice anything that would require the force. Take a few laps around the tracks or just talk to your fellow students. Once your master returns we’ll make sure to point him in your direction.”

She smiled before setting off again. Delegation, it’s one hell of a thing.

Suddenly my vision blurred. Apparently there was going to be some side effects. "Man this is what I get for using the force. I don't have time to give into this right now though. I need to clear my head, and finish this."
I couldn't completely see my opponents so I couldn't block the energy bolts coming at me. I could see the streaks of red enough to dodge, but not accurately enough to bring my saber to them. My dodges were wide to compensate for my lack of visibility slowing me down, but I was close now. I brought both my sabers out on either side of me. I was going to try to take both of them down in one strike. Before I could react I saw another red streak heading for me. I was to close now though, I took the hit in my shoulder. It was extremely painful, but not fatal. I struck out at the necks of the droids, and saw them fall to the ground smoking.

"Well....that's that I guess..." Exhaustion that I had never felt before came over me. So this was what happened when one used the force to this extent. I deactivated my lightsaber just before my vision went dark, and I passed out on the floor. in a dreamless sleep.

While he had tried to be of help, stabilizing worlds and attempting to make sense of what had happened, his mind simply couldn't help wandering back to [member="Chloe Blake"] every time he boarded and disembarked from the Aurora Hawk, every time he sat in the pilot's chair and moved from one world to the next. When the Republic moved to reclaim Ossus, he did his best to make it there so that he could give his student, [member="Choli Vyn"], a break. Also so he could give himself a break of sorts, but it would be nothing that was particularly restorative. Not with what he had seen, the Force having given him the first inkling of potential things to come since this had all started.

He did not like what he had seen, though what it meant required some thought and examination. What he had seen seemed impossible, harrowing, and nauseating. He had slumped onto the bed in his own quarters, dropping his face into his hands, wishing Chloe was here to listen (he wanted to look for her but 'where to begin?' and 'priorities'. He was still a Jedi, wasn't he?) Maybe... just maybe he would tell her... oh, a muffled groan. Would he? Would it change things? What would she think? He rubbed at his eyes, stood, and went to the modest desk he had done so much work upon over the many years of his current incarnation. A small, weary laugh - it was still strange to think of himself in that fashion, but it was the fact of his seemingly unending existence as he pulled open a drawer and removed a small tome with empty pages and picked up the pen that had served him so well. It was only ever the one pen, resupplied with ink time and time again as it ran dry.

He returned to the bed, sat himself on it, into the gentle creak. He set the livre on his lap, opened it to the first page, and began to write, pouring out the bucket of his mind as it pertained to vision and accompanying concerns.

Next Corvus headed to the Library and was dismayed to see that - although they’d removed the sensitive data which was due to be returned soon - the neat order they’d left everything in was no longer the case. Clearly others had been here and had been looking for information without bothering to put things back in any order. It reminded her of Master Alince’s filing system and datapad and datacrons were strewn across the floors.

So she wandered around, lifting and piling wherever she could. She covered the two story chamber that consisted of holobook shelves known as the Stacks and data rooms filled with now destroyed computers.

Arranged into four long halls that all met in a large rotunda in the center, each of the halls had a central aisle that ran its length, with several tables topped with computer terminals that were linked to the main index catalog. The second and fourth halls, branched off into two smaller aisles as they led to the currently empty Holocron Vaults on the outer wall.

Amongst the four main aisles were Bronzium sculptures of some of the most famous Jedi Masters known to the Order; displayed at intervals along the stacks on stone pedestals. Among these busts were depictions of The Lost, the only Masters that had willingly left the Order. On each pedestal rested a plaque describing the great acts of the displayed master; although, in the cases of The Lost, they did not list a reason for leaving. Likenesses of Masters Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Saesee Tiin, Chon Actrion and Dooku were only a few of the many depicted.

At the center of the Archives was the great rotunda, the access point from which any Jedi could explore the vast chamber. A massive, circular chamber, the rotunda's arching doorways stretched to the ceiling, granting anyone in the area a view of the entire Archives room. Terminals in the rotunda allowed Jedi to access any of the four halls, narrowing down their searches to a specific area. Carpeted in red, the chamber's center piece was a large database station used by the Chief Librarian to keep record of the books stored in the Stacks.

Known as the main entrance due to the great, hand-carved wooden doors at its front, the First Hall contained great records on philosophy and manuscripts detailing the history of the Republic. Personal journals of over a billion Jedi were also held here. Many of the more in-depth works on Force abilities were restricted to Jedi Masters; Padawans required permission from the Chief Librarian to delve into the more controversial works.

Running perpendicular to the first and third halls, the Second Hall contained data dedicated to mathematical and engineering sciences. Works related to the topics on hyperspace and how to achieve it and construct engines and vehicles capable of such feats were among the blue-glowing Stacks.

The Third Hall was directly opposite the first and was filled with information on the geography and culture of each and every known planet in the Galactic Republic. Including starmaps of interstellar and planetary regions, and detailed analysis on specific civilizations were updated and stored here.

The Fourth Hall, running on the same plane as the second was also split into two smaller wings; each dedicated to zoological research relating information on every known species of flora and fauna in the galaxy.

Corvus walked and walked and simply knew that, with a little time and patience, she could have these rooms back to their former glory - and she was blessed with an infinite amount of patience.

Kian passed through yet another security checkpoint as he approached the tubrolift that lead to the highly secure lower level of the Jedi Shadow Enclave. After gaining access for Taheera and himself, Kian walked onto the lift and keyed the command in the console. As the lift made its way down, Kian fell silent. He was hoping that the purge hadn't occurred and that the droids below were still processing information the way they were intended too.

"Here we go." Kian said as the lift settled at the base and the doors ahead of them slid open. Stepping off the platform, Kian smiled and let out a sigh of relief as the familiar voice of his protocol droid, CG-50 said.

"Master Karr, is that you?" He shuffled forward, looking as worried as a droid could look.

"Yes, CG, it is. I need a status report. Are we operating at maximum efficiency?" Kian asked, looking around and seeing the other droids busy at work. These droids spent their entire life underground here, taking in and evaluating information. With the exception of CG-50, they didn't leave the enclave and therefore likely only knew of what was occuring due to the reports they analyzed on a daily basis.

"We are operating at 55% capacity." CG-50 said, "While we've lost contact with over half our operatives, the droid personnel is continuing to assess all incoming intelligence."

Kian nodded and couldn't help but wonder just how many of his people were still trapped in the place he had been.

Then came the problem with Knights. Well, problem and problem. The thing was that the Padawans were still just that, padawans. To expect them to be able to look out for younglings was a silly idea but it would help them grow character and understand what it meant to be a master. To make them see that perhaps there was a reason prepubescent kids didn’t reach knighthood in a mere day.

She approached a group of knights making conversation with each other. She cleared her throat in an effort to get their attention.

“There are a few Padawans looking after the younglings.” Kana sighed as she rubbed her forehead. “I don’t expect them to be able to keep track of three younglings each so I’d like you all to help keep track of the padawans together. Create a safety net in case the pressure becomes too much.”

One of them had a question but she quieted it down. “I know, it doesn’t make much sense, but this is a perfect opportunity to make them understand the pressures of responsibility. Just be there for both the younglings and padawans and I’ll owe you all each a favor.”

They all nodded decisively and left. So that’s a two layer safety net. Should be enough to have a modicum of stability around here, hopefully.

Kayleigh called forth the squad, ushering them to the dropship as it approached the outskirts of the Ossus temple. "Understood, Master Karr. We'll be seeing you. May the Force be with you."

The ship landed, its loading ramp extending towards the ground beneath just in front of the awaiting team. While the rest boarded Kayleigh took a final look back, both in awe of the beauty that the temple held, but also to ensure that everything was as it should be. Once boarded, she carefully removed her gear, placing the helmet beside her as the ship gently lifted off, heading towards the upper atmosphere to rendezvous with the awaiting capital ship in orbit.

"Captain Rovins, Tyven here, we're en route to you. Prep the ship for return to Onderon. Our operation here is complete. The Jedi will handle the rest."

There was a few moments of silence before the response came through. "Acknowledged, Admiral. All quiet here, we await your return. Rovins out."

After patrolling the jungles as he had done so very many times, the Felacatian was sitting silent, staring at his reflection in a small lake that had become a place of solace for him, for [member="Marakai Al'Orren"] and any others that had come across it. He would have liked to have shown [member="Avalore Eden"] this place, too. The stream had been first, the sounds of it different and soothing, whereas the lake was simply a calming image for self-introspection. His life had grown beyond the vestiges of the Jedi Order, including now that of the greater Republic and its armies, and the Mandalorian Clans, the latter making him much closer to his cousin than he had been before.

Surely, these disappearances, the rifts, the rending of worlds were merely a diversion of the path of war between his brethren and the Dark. Would that war continue to only take from him a pound of flesh for his trouble, or would his life be given over in the waging of it, in the end? Only time, the enduring of time and circumstance would tell. He ran his fingers along the edge of the water and brought them to his lips.

He would have to keep living life to discover what might come.

Uri bowed to his master then left her side. He found a small group of padawans barely old enough to no longer be youngling but he didn't mind. Uri instructed them on the job at hand. Search through the undercroft for anything that might seem important and then bring it to the training rooms. Seemed simple enough. Only after he told them the objective, Uri made sure they knew not to pick up anything with their hand showing them to use their sleeves or robes to pick them items.

Even with the small group it didn't take long to do a sweep of the area. What was found, which wasn't much, was moved to the training area. Uri did a final check to make sure all of the padawan were out before leaving the undercroft for good. It was now definitely clear to be filled and closed off for good.

Axo walked and passed many of the most well known Jedi of the order, He saw [member="Corvus Raaf"] enter the library. He wanted to say hi to her, but it was unbecoming of him to interrupt her with her duties. If she needed him, she would ask for him. He was just happy to be here on this hollowed planet. The history within these walls was irreplaceable. He stopped and admired a statue of an unknown Jedi, His strong figures standing serene and composed. The statue told so many things about the Jedi without saying a single thing. His name was on the plaque below but it had been vandalized by someone, someone that had a very hot torch or a weapon of some kind. he frowned, someone had to have been in the temple for this to have happened, perhaps he should bother Master Raaf after all.

[member="Kian Karr"]

She remained close to the jedi master, silently observing. She was here to learn and offer her assistance, if needed. This whole top-secret underground intelligence system was well-beyond the healer's pay-grade.

"Master Karr, what do you need from me?"
