Location: Cedric's Wrath over Ession, Training deck
Time: 1600 Hrs
It had been a long week to be sure. After leaving Vjun Adron had made his way to Ession to take command of his new flagship. One he aptly named, Cedric's Wrath, seeing as it was created on the planet of his predecessor he felt it only natural. Now that the man was Archlord he often questioned if he was as capable as Cedric, whose family line had been specifically chosen to rule. Never the less such things were only a distraction.

He sat in the middle of the ship's training hall, deep in meditation as he awaited his new ward to arrive. The boy was rather disturbed, Flinx, yet he did not seem to be without his promises. Adron hoped that by tapping into the light side of the Force he could give the boy some clarity if nothing more. However, the Count found it harder and harder to use the light side as the days went on. His training in the ways of the dark side were beginning to leave him corrupted in the eyes of the force, and he was lacking in the proper training to will them both.

Exhaling he opened his eyes, glancing at the weapon racks that surrounded him, tapping into the nether of the Force. As he willed them they slowly began to levitate off the ground, one at a time until all six floated several feet off of the deck.

Easy. It had been so easy compare to years ago when he struggled to even move his own lightsaber.

Flinx was lost, again. He had been here only a short time but yet again he found himself hopelessly lost, going force knows where, on some bendu forsaken, giant sarlaccs ass of a ship. He longged for his small krayt gunship, or even bb-3 to guide him around. He missed the conforts of the world he knew, a world he could control, a world, that at lease with the forces help, he could see.

But no, Ashla and Bogon and even Bendu had abandoned him, had ripped his sight from him, the sight that, while not being true biological sight, at least let him see to get around, to be useful, to be.......... needed.

It did not take long for Adron to realize what must have happened to Flinx. Cedric's Wrath was one of the largest ships in The Dominion Fleet if not one of the largest in the galaxy, to be turned around on the vessel was no difficult task. An amused chuckle erupted from Adron, as he considered where Flinx could be. Pushing himself to a knee he was preparing to go find the boy before another thought came into his mind.

"Everything is a training exercise." He muttered, before bracing himself against his propped up knee.

Allowing the Force to flow through him, as a calm wave would flow over a reef, he closed his eyes. Abandoning his physical sight, for another sight entirely, a third eye which he had grown in the gardens of the force. "Let's....see...." he said, in nearly a whisper.

The room around him, which had been darkened by his eyelids, was now quite visible. However, it was not only seen through an image, it was felt through his senses and crafted into a vivid image in the man's mind. The ability of Force Sight was one he had practiced since a boy, and now he was beginning to show quite the knack for it. His vision would enhance, moving out of the room and down the long halls of the ship. Soldiers, Droids, mechanics, he could see them all going about their daily routine. How fascinating the ability was to the man.

It was not long until finally Flinx, wandering down one of the supply halls, came into his vision as well. Adron smiled softly before reaching out to the man, whispering to him through the Force.

You're lost my friend. Why don't I give you a hand? He questioned.

Press your hand against the wall in front of you, on it you will feel a service pipe that will lead you out of the supply tunnels, once the pipe comes to an end take that left and it will bring you towards the training deck. From there, ust stay straight. He explained.

Flinx, who was starting to feel he would be forgotten heard the voice of his new teacher in his head. "Very funny master Malvern, using the force to see even though you know I can't. I'll do my best to find my way there and thanks for the directions."

Flinx hated that Adron was right. He knew his master had every right to know every portion of the ship, but really he was that close? Flinx stepped into the room and formally bowed to his new master then knelt there on the floor to await his instructions. Flinx was tired of being in the dark and right now his heart would give anything to get his sight back even though his head still hated the force for stripping away his things.

Master Malvern, how Quaint.

A soft chuckle came from Adron as Flinx commented on his observational abilities. Returning to a sitting position he awaited for the boy to arrive. It was not long before soft footsteps turned into an entrance from the Miralukan. When he entered and gave the Count a polite bow Adron returned it with a respectful nod, regardless of his inability to see it.

"How are you doing Flinx? Have you been getting enough to eat? Enough sleep?" He questioned.

As he spoke he focused on the Force once again, this time probing the boy's mind, attemtping to read the emotions laid before him.

"Now then, as I told you when we met on Vjun I will be not only taking over your training, but attempting to heal you. I have a few methods we are going to use, but ultimately we will have to reforge your focus, will, and concentration. I believe the first step to getting your sight back is rekindling your connection with the Force." He said.

"So...Let us begin." The Count stood up, clasping his hand behind his back as he looked down to the boy. Adron glanced over to a nearby weight set, one that was usually place in the training hall for the soldiers to use. Adron's hand gestured to one of the weights, a 25lbs disk, on the command of the Force the weight began to rise into the air slowly. "Now, the Force surrounds this weight, I want you to try and find it using your senses." He said, moving the weight around the room slowly.

Flinx listened and tried to reach out with his mind but he couldn't feel it and it made him angry. He wanted to feel it, wanted to see it, wanted to feel in control again but it was as if he was in the vace of space. He felt nothing and with a sigh he hung his head. He mentally answered adron's questions. He ate little, he slept little, he feels nothing.

As the disk continued to circle around the room Adron approached the boy, his eyes focused on the weight he was moving. "I sense....frustration. Though I don't really need the Force to tell me that. You're emotions are spilling out of you like a waterfall. You have two options, use them or control them, but they cannot go unchecked." He advised.

"Listen to me....you won't get anywhere by pitying yourself, that time and chapter has come to a close. Now it's time to work for what you need. So I want you to clear your mind, focus on the task at hand, and find the damned disk." Adron's words were harsh and lacked the traditional feel of a Jedi. However, Adron was far from a regular Jedi, in fact he no longer really considered himself a Jedi so much as a Force User searching for the answers.

"Do not think about your eyes. Think about the disk. Start by listening. It makes a soft whistle every now and again when it comes near the air vents. Find it with your sense, then we'll move on to the force. Now...where is it?" He questuoned once again.

Flinx took in Adron's words. They hurt by themselves, then couple that with them being true and it enfuriated Flinx he heard where the disk was coming from and knowing where it would be he walked over to it and grabbed it out of midair and attempted to fling it at his master. "Here is your damn disk. You don't understand what I've lost. My world was taken from me, everything was taken from me and it was the force that did it. Everyone says to let the force guide you. Well the force has guided me into blackness and forgotten about me!"

Adron watched as Flinx moved for the disk, his senses heightened by the anger that flowed through him. It was not until the disk flew towards Adron that a smile came to his face. His finger flicked towards the disk, forcing it to maintain a suspended rotation only inches from his chest. As Flinx continued on Adron allowed the disk to fall to the ground, abandoned by the the Force.

As Flinx spoke Adron simply began to circle him, listening to his words.

"The will of The Force cannot be denied. You are blind because that is what was predestined for you. We can change our destinies but we cannot escape them once they have already come to pass." Flinx's words caused Adron's smile to falter as he considered his own life, his entire family that was ripped from him when he was still but a boy. "I'm not here to teach you to follow the force, I'm here to teach you how to control it and bend it to your will." He said with finality.

"Now....you passed the first exercise, it's time for the second." He moved back towards the center of the training hall before glancing back at the boy. "Or would you rather sulk?" He questioned.

Standing in the center of the room the Count exhaled before falling to a knee, drawing the Force around him. "You've proven you can hear and find the weight, now you'll be dodging the weights." Raising both of his arms towards the sky, several of the disks rose from their surroundings, seven in total. They slowly began to move around the room in random order, creating a barrier between Adron and Flinx. "Get to me without touching a single one." He commanded.

Flinx listened to the whistles trying to find a pattern and after a moment he grabbed one and used it as a shield to block three more before dropping it at Adron's feet. "I know I failed but they were random. There was no pattern."

Adron watched Flinx as he attempted to navigate his way past the disks. His movements were hesitant, showing his lacking in confidence and ability. The task was a simple one to any experienced force user or someone with vision, for Flinx it would be doubly hard to do. Yet it was necessary. He watched as Flinx caught one of the disks and he shook his head in disapproval.

"The Force does not work in patterns, it does not react in a way that is necessarily fair and you cannot always tell what it will do." He said, lowering his arms for a moment.

Adron glanced over the metal disks before bringing his arms back up once again, this time the disks began to flow around the two with a slightly faster speed, making them easier to hear. "Try again." He said.

Crossing his arms, he watched as Flinx continued through the field of disks. It was not until a loud ringing could be heard that Adron's eyes shot open in surprise. He watched as the boy collapsed to the floor and cleared his throat before glancing around the training hall. "This is going to take a lot of work..."

He made his way over to Flinx, kneeling down beside him as he checked the side of his head. "Wow....that looks painful." He looked over his bruise before exhaling and pressing his palm against the bruise.

A light blue spark erupted from his palm, yet it was not harmful to Flinx, instead it was made to ease his pain and bring him back to consciousness. Adron's skills with healing were minimal, yet they had some merits. "Wake up." He said, trying to bring him out of his stupor.

Flinx groaned as he slowly sat up and looked and felt all the more depressed. As he sat up his tunic sleeve got stuck on his upper arm and his bare forearm showed off that he had been cutting himself for a while now. "I can't do it master. I'm afraid that I'll never be fixed. That I'll never be the same Flinx I was back when I found Ra. I want to be that person so bad. The same one who went to Ossis to find the Jedi holocrons, the same one who clawed his way out of those ruins just so he could see Ra one last time before he died of a head injury. I want to be whole again."

It didn't take long for Flinx to come to, a bit of relief washed over Adron as he propped himself up. As Flinx spoke a part of Adron felt sorry for what he was going through, yet he knew there was no chance of him recovering if he continued down this path.

"Flinx you haven't been at it for ten minutes." He commented, standing to his full height as he spoke down to him.

"You can be that person again, but only if you're willing to fight for it. I'll admit I've never been severed from the Force like you have but I know what it's like to have something ripped from you and feel like you'll never get it back." Adron's words were true. The Count had felt as if he'd never have connections with others again after the death of his family. Yet he had found many friends, and even love since that time.

"This is the first and last time I'll tell you this Flinx. Get up and fight, or don't. I'm not going to hold your hand." Adron passed the man, making his way over to a nearby weapons rack. He glanced over the vibroswords that were filling the rack with a singular curiosity.

Flinx missed Ra and ugh a slight sob he ran, not caring where to or who he crashed into he ran to the farthest corner of the ship and just cried. He cried for as long as he could and then just laid there not really having the will to go on.maybe it was his destiny to die here? Who knows?

It was not until Flinx rose to his feet and tears fell down his face that Adron let out a soft sigh. The boy was shattered and it would indeed take time before he would become whole again, not only that it seemed his will was almost spent. As he left the room in a flurry of tears Adron returned to the center of the training hall, taking a kneeling position once more. There was nothing he could do to the boy that would change his mind, he would have to find the motivation within himself, or be lost forever.

As the Count moved from a knee to sitting on his backside he exhaled softly once again, reaching out into the Force. The weights, which had idly fallen to the ground, now arose to hover in the air once again. With a gesture of his hands each weight was returned to it's proper set before falling limp once again.

Closing his eyes, Adron fell into a deep meditation while he awaited Flinx's return.

Flinx laid there completely laid bare emotionally and mentally. Flinx wanted to please his master, he wanted to please Ra. He wanted to see. He wanted to be usefull but he was useless without his sight. Now it is up to him to make this happen and he was doubting wether this was a hole he could climb out of. He reached out knowing that if he was going to get better he would have to prove he could see.

He thought his way through the ship till he could picture the training room. He whispered both in his mind and aloud. "M-master? C-can you hear me?"

Adron's meditation was disrupted, by the slightest tremor reflecting in the Force. His eyes slowly slid open as a smile came to his face. Though it was fast and lacking he could sense someone scraping over the surface of the force. Focusing on the node left from the attempt he found himself connected to his new apprentice once again.

The boy spoke out to him and the Count reached out with the force, his words spoken into his ward's mind. I am always here, my friend.

He paused for a moment before continuing on. I can sense you in the force...it is weak and ill projected...but you are there. He assured. Now, come back to me.
