Oh, it would definitely be interesting to see. I feel like a more serious combatant, especially a hardened Sith, would probably just be more confused than frightened by the sword that now happens to be the same weapon he has, only possibly more fragile due to the thinner energy. Still cool to see thoughMrrew said:Even if the lightsaber part didn't work... I would want one just so I could, in the middle of a battle, press a button. And the sword i've been fighting with turns in to a bar of superheated plasma. Just to see the reaction of the other guy,,,,

I don't think the debate is completely pointless, but you do have a major point in that it's about the person and how they use it. That's why initially I was saying he should just go with what he wants, since he can mold his character to be good with those weapons anyway like you!Aynea Savan Xyhn said:This debate is pointless. Everyone is different, and everyone is going to treat each perspective weapon differently.
For instance, for me, it's longswords. I will absolutely kick someone's ass and their lightsaber while using my Sith sword. But that's because physical swords are what Aynea is used to, and her physical strength is so great, she wouldn't be able to swing a saber any faster than anyone else because a body can only go so fast, but can still swing a slender, weighted blade at just the same speed and force.
Everybody is different. Not everybody is going to be more effective or less effective with one weapon over another.
Neither, but the first option definitely sounds more like Star Wars.Darth Ares said:A sith that is all muscle and 6'8" coming at you with a single lightsaber.
Or
Same sith, but coming at you with a real sith sword that is enchanted with Sith Magic to light on fire when you say a certain word (and only the holder can ignite it.) and a hammer like Thor's hammer, but adapted to Star Wars Universe.
A lightsaber is 1 kg on average, for standard size. A sword is 2-4. (That's about 2 pounds for the saber, 4 to 9 pounds for the sword)Darth Ares said:[member="Mrrew"]
A sword and lightsaber would be the same in terms of speed or only slight difference and the hammer is handheld so it wouldn't really be slow. Thor didn't have the force and he moved that hammer really fast.
Nobody does it because everyone assumes that lightsabers are too low-tech and are trying to competitively come up with some ridiculous scheme that presents some form of technology that makes them obsolete. (I mean, look at the amount of cortosis and phrik out there. It's pretty ridiculous, and I own a cortosis coat and mini-dress.)Pyrrha Nikkita said:Crystals can be increased through alchemy. It's possible, but nobody does it for some reason. As well as the hilt. Look as the Soulsaber. Looks like a standard saber just the hilt is ornate, but once you activate it, everybody within 10 meters is effected either by anger and rage, or power drained and having one massive headache.
So don't say that a saber can not be influenced by the force. That would be incorrect on so many levels.
