When Two Angels Meet

Voss
Midday

Voss of all planets was not a bad one to be on. With the recent sightings of Jedi there, naming themselves "Silver Jedi" I smiled at that thought. Silver was a color of honor a courage. But not purity or cleanliness. I wondered about that because when I was once a Jedi, it was all about the colors of the rainbow and the most important one of being clean from the dark side of the force. Would these Silver Jedi be more dark side oriented, or would they be more like a Jedi just a different sect than the ones with the crumbling Republic. To find this information, I came to the heart of the City. Now I was a Sith. Meaning I needed to hide my force signature. Which I did.

Falsifying that I was a Jedi, instead of wearing my more darker attire, I wore a set of a spacer like attire. While it did not show off that I was a Sith, it also didn't show that I was a hardcore Jedi. I looked somewhat darker to have a Rogue force user look. It was from here that I would play the role of a man searching for a home and a place to enlighten myself. I still had a darker feel to my force signature, but not dark enough to warrant for the Silver Jedi to come investigate a possible Sith.

On my back was a single blade. Almost five feet in length, the Echani Vibrosword was a weapon I now cherished. as well as my blue lightsaber that was being held on my belt, but hung around my mid thigh area. The only two weapons I carried on me were those. Walking down the street, I could see a few people eyeing me with the sword on my back as well as the saber on my belt. Not to add to it, the pearl white mid back length hair that seemed to always flow out and look like a natural cape.

Well when you have that long of hair then yes, you will have it fly around everywhere. Including into your face. I moved a few strands from in front of my eyes as I continued to walk towards the temple. Hoping to run into one of these Silver Jedi so I could talk to one of them.

Voss. Home of the Silver Jedi. Ilanthria had come to see what they were like. Her home was with the Republic on Ossus, but she occasionally came to see how the other sect of the Jedi worked. The Diathim was incredibly bright in the sun due to her naturally glowing skin and wight clothing. Her 7 foot height and unmatched beauty made her more obvious than anyone else around her. Many stared at her, each of them seeing a different form that they found attractive. She smiled kindly at everyone as she made her way to the temple.

Each step I took almost seemed to thunder because of my sheer height, as well as the boots I wore. Combat boots seemed to echo more when on the ground, hell even on carpet the made louder thud sounds. Though, I was tall and fairly heavy to make those sounds. As I walked, I seemed to be the tallest person here. I was an almost seven feet tall, but when I saw a very beautiful woman, I noticed that she stood a good half a foot or more above me. I was tall for an Echani and on the lower average size for the Valkyri. However, I was still growing.

None the less, I looked up as this woman passed me by. I stopped walking as I could remember her face smiling at me. Turning around I decided that I might ask her. Seeing as she also had a very light and prominent force signature. "Ma'am? Do you happen to be with the Silver Jedi? I am looking for someone to help me and you look to be one of them."

I asked casually while my heart beat sped up because of many reasons. One, She was a beautiful person. As well from the light radiation from her, I suspected a Diathim, Two, I was not really one to ask questions, but as a person in character, I needed to be the questionable type. and Three, I kind of wanted to talk to her anyways if she was a Diathim. it was rare for someone to see one. Rumored to bring you good luck in fact. I mean, who wouldn't want to pass up this chance?

Ilanthria turned to the man who'd asked her the question. She smiled warmly at him. "There is no need to call me ma'am, dear one. I am Ilanthria. As to your question, no. I am a Jedi, but I do not belong to this temple. My home is on Ossus. However, I am willing to assist you with whatever problems you might have." She replied.

Oh when she turned around, I almost could feel like turning into a Jedi again. However, I was still a Sith. Very much one in fact. Only growing darker each day with the choices I made. Her face was beautiful, I stumbled for a second before speaking. "Forgive me, I choose to be formal for those who I have just meet." With an open hand I then indicated her as others walked around us. "Especially for those who have a beauty that cannot be marveled." I smiled faintly As she was standing there. Others would look at us as we stood there. Two people who were taller than all others, and two that had a defined beauty that came naturally through each species.

Noticing this, I decided to continue speaking. "Would you mind if we talked in a more suitable environment?"

Ilanthria's eyebrows raised slightly. No one had actually claimed she was beautiful to her face. Most of the time, people kept silent in her presence, or pretended that she was just like everyone else. She didn't mind this. It was merely a surprise to hear someone speak differently. She nodded, and motioned for him to follow her. There was a small park just outside the temple that only a few people knew of. Sometimes padawans would go there to meditate or train with their masters. She led him there and found a soft patch of grass for them to sit on. "May I ask your name?" She said.

She had a look of surprise when I had told her about her beauty. Did she not hear that from every mouth that could speak or see her glow? Despite this, she motioned for me to follow her. Normally I would have not taken commands or more so a follow me sign. Despite that, I followed her for the short trip to a secluded park. While there were no words spoken, she turned to face me and sat down. Asking for my name. I had a hint to tell her a false name. However, I wanted to be a person that she could easily talk to.

"I have many names that I have acquired over the years. Each a real name to me. So I ask my fair lady, what name do you wish to hear?" I stayed standing for a moment as I spoke, but moved to sit down in front of her. My legs being far to long and awkward to sit crosslegged, so I moved my body at an angle and let my feet lay out to their fullest. However, they were not near the woman. Not because I had something to hide, but because it was considered rude to some to have your boots or shoes in front of you when speaking to someone while on the ground. Almost expecting them to shine them for you. This was not the case.

Ilanthria placed her hands atop her knees, sitting in the traditional meditative fashion with her legs crossed in front of her. "I have been called many things as well. Angel. Divine. Caretaker. But my true name, the name I accept and know myself as, is Ilanthria. I wish to know the name that you accept as your own." She replied, her voice soothing and serene.

I smiled as she spoke. Saying that she too had many names. I agreed, with her. The names that she spoke really did mean something about who she was as a Person, and as an individual. Giving me her name as Ilanthria, I bowed my head in response. Smiling all the same. "The Fallen Knight, The Outcast, However, as you asked I will give you my real name. Darren Shaw." I smiled somewhat. Still getting used to speaking my name, my real name, to a stranger I didn't know. I needed to get used to it. With the path that I was deciding to take, I would need a real name to be called of. And Darren Shaw it the best of all that are worthy of my accomplishments.

Ilanthria smiled back. "It is nice to meet you, Darren. New faces are always a pleasant sight to see." She said. "Now, is there anything that I can help you with?"
[member="Darren Shaw"]

I smiled as she spoke my name. Saying that it was nice to meet a new face. Still trying to get over the fact that I was talking to a Diathim, or an Angel in a sense, I spoke to her, "I came here to do some research on the Silver Jedi or the Jedi. I was once one, but fell and kind of need some help getting back up. Possibly. I just don't really know if the Silver Jedi would be any better than the normal Jedi who are with the Republic." I shrugged my shoulders, I felt a little uncomfortable so I drew the Echani vibrosword and sat it on the ground behind me.

Presenting a weapon in front of someone was either a sign of wanting to fight or simply you were handing it to the person. However, because we were in a nice setting, I kept it behind me to where it would be out of the way, as well as the term of "out of sight, out of mind."

"As well, I saw you walking through the streets, and I had to talk to you because I have never met one of your kind before."

[member="Ilanthria"],

Ilanthria nodded. "My people prefer to remain in the safe and familiar places of Iego. The unknown is daunting to many. They are shy, in a sense. But I was not. I am strange to others of my kind because of this. When Jedi first discovered me, I was more than happy to go with them to Felucia. I wanted to see the beautiful worlds that shared our galaxy, not hide from them." She turned her gaze to the sky. "The first thing that all beings must acknowledge is that each of us possesses a darkness within us. I possess darkness, as do you. If we were to let it, it would seep into our hearts, our souls, and our minds. We would lose what we are. We would be broken. And though we would see it as strength, in the end, it would destroy us and all those around us. In order to prevent this, we must always be wary of the decisions we make and consequences that stem from them."

I smiled as Ilanthria explained about her kind. Saying that they were scared. Something that was often seen for those who stayed on planets of their birth. When she looked up I followed her sight for a moment only to see if she was looking at something. However she was just looking up for the sake of it. She then began to speak of the Darkness within us. Being that we should control it. Almost hinder it from flourishing and taking over your mind and warping who you are. I sadly shook my head.

"The Darkness may warp the minds. But it only does if you do not know how to correctly control the flow of energy." I reached out and within my hand started to manifest a ball of white energy that swirled around. Kenticite. A power where by taking force lightning and condensing it to be a solid projectile. However after showing her the control that I had, I released it to just fade into air. "I have control of the Darkside. Having this ability is no easy task. What you speak of, are those who cannot control their emotions and abilities. Thus allowing the Dark side to warp and manipulate them."

I then backed off a moment. Letting my head sink. "I am sorry if you feel that I have deceived you. I hope that I have not because I would rather not tarnish my image simply because I know how to use a side of the force in a more beguine manner."

[member="Ilanthria"],

Ilanthria did not react with shock or disgust when Darren revealed his true nature to her. She instead was calm, and listened to his reasoning. "The Jedi teach that to possess such negative power is wrong. That emotion should be curbed and controlled for the betterment of all. But that is not true. Emotion should not be avoided. That is the mistake the Jedi Council of the Clone Wars and the Mandalorian Wars made, and that is why they fell apart. But emotion cannot simply be avoided. It is within all of us. It is what makes us sentient." She looked directly into his eyes. "There can be no peace in this galaxy. When a darkness is eradicated, a new one will always emerge. Conflict shall never cease. Though both sides fight for what they believe is true, they are both wrong. We should not strive for one or the other. We should strive for balance. Without balance, life cannot exist. We see this in everything around us. Nature needs balance to thrive as it does. Just one small change can kill a forest, or a planet. Until we all see this truth, there will only be more chaos."
[member="Darren Shaw"]

The woman looked young. Yes. She looked a good early thirties or even twenties. However, I knew that she would be far older considering her word choice, the way she acted, as well as the path that she followed. she said that there was to be a balance in the force for there to be peace. I smiled. nodding my head in agreement. "A balance would bring peace, but it will only be short lived." I then indicated myself, "People, humans, and the like search for something more than just the norm. If this balance was to be the normal, then someone will return from either the darkness or the light, and the latter will soon follow to counter it." I smiled as we could sit here for eons and still debate about our thoughts of the force.

"Miss Ilanthria, I would like to propose something." I scooted closer to her, just enough so I didn't have to speak loudly, "If you want this balance, then why do you seem to me as a person of the light? As well, if I agree with you, then why am I this darkness." my finger was etching into the ground between us in the dirt. A circle. It was then with a swivel cut in half Where I then "shaded" in one side by messing up the dirt in that portion. "What if we were to learn from one another of either side? Would a form of this balance that you propose be possible?"

[member="Ilanthria"],

Ilanthria smiled. "I admit, I am more prone to the Light Side of the Force. Mainly because I am afraid." She paused, trying to think of a better way to explain. "I may have had the courage to leave my home to find a new one. But there is still a fear inside me. Fear that if I let the darkness in, it will never come out. That I will become something that I have tried so hard to keep away. It is foolish, really. I know what I wish to achieve, and yet I cannot bring myself to pursue it."
[member="Darren Shaw"]

My smile faded into a straight face. Almost void of emotion as she spoke of being fearful for the change. I nodded my head. Knowing what she was fearing. Many did. She feared that when falling to the Dark Side, that she would never be able to return. "You can return to the light. Think of a hill. Falling to the dark side is you running down the hill. Getting a rush of the wind in your hair and feeling powerful as you charge down the hill so fast that you fear of falling over. That fear keeps you up. Preventing you from falling so far that you can't return. Now to experience that thrill again, you must climb the hill. That is the process of redemption."

I offered her an option. "I know what it is like. I have done it before. I can help you achieve this." I moved to be kneeling down on my knees. "I know we have only just met, but I feel that I should offer you a chance." I moved to stand up. I leaned down to offer my hand in aid of helping her up. "Come with me, as my apprentice, as a friend, and an ally, and I will give you this chance to learn of the other side. So that you may know of this darkness that you fear."

I smiled at her, giving her my full trust. "Fear of the unknown is common. What you can do is break that barrier, and learn to not fear it."

[member="Ilanthria"],

Ilanthria looked at him solemnly. "If I lose myself, I will hurt so many people. I know I will..." Her voice was barely above a whisper. For the first time, she sounded just as frightened as she felt. It was an innocent kind of fear, like a child afraid of shadows on their wall at night.
[member="Darren Shaw"]

I understood her fear. Hurting others is not what she wanted to do. And from her reaction, even if one person was hurt, then she would not take part. I moved to kneel down again. More so in a crouch, "Don't fear it. If you fear that it will happen, then it will. Accept it, and anticipate it, but don't fear it." I looked at her sad. Almost as though I knew how this went. "I once feared being on the Dark side. and all it did was push me away from my family. I plan to change that. I accept that my family is always in danger, and that I must learn to protect them, as well as teach them to better themselves." Offering my hand a second time, "The only thing to fear, is fear itself." I lightly shook my head. "This is a difficult process. One that will take time. But I promise you, If you loose yourself, I will prevent you from hurting anyone. You and I can set precautions in place to prevent you from bringing harm to others should you snap or go off the deep end."

I bowed my head, looking to her in the eyes. Trying to give her the truth in my words. Letting her know that I was here should she need me. "Trust me. Use me as the rock for your foundation so that you will not be swept away by the tides that tempt you."

[member="Ilanthria"],

Hesitantly, her hand reached up to Darren. "There is no emotion, there is peace," she murmured, "peace is a lie, there is only passion..." Ilanthria placed her hand in his. "Very well. Master..."
