When We Meet (Kiara)

The smell of swamp gases were killing Romeo as he walked through the wet lands of Dagobah, not even mentioning the sounds that echoed all around him causing his muscles to tense each time something squealed, or roared. Dromund Kaas was a walk in the park compared to this place, even after his fight with the dark master he had been attacked by on the planet. He had opted to keep it on the ship he had 'borrowed' from Dromund Kaas. It had been a few days travel getting here, and why he was here was unknown even to himself. Each step made a squishing sound as he moved around the forest's swamp, pacing himself to keep from getting tired.

Finally he stopped in about two hours of walking, taking out a water bottle to swing some of the H2o in it. Romeo wiped sweat off his forehead, looking at his surrounding environment. "Why am I even here? There's nothing but water, and....I don't even know." He sighed, and sat down on the root of a very large tree. Leaning back, he closed his eyes, letting his emotions relax, and calm down from the chaos around him. When he tried to feel the swamp around him, he found it was actually peaceful, and that the force was strong here. "I guess it's not that bad."

"Silence!" Bellowed a voice thick with spit and hatred. Kiara shot up from the dream in a partly lit hut, fueled with warmth by a small stove in the corner of the room melting a pot of metals into a stew of fresh material. A moment passed where the elderly hermit rubbed her eyes and rose from the dirt bed she claimed as a resting area, using the butt of her metal staff against the floor to keep her balance. A few paces went by quicker than her body would agree to. Her back creaked and her legs shook from under herself. I'm getting old. She whispered in her mind. Just for a moment, her mind went blank, but filled itself with work as she poured liquid metals into leafy molds.
The metal cooled at a steady pace, and Kiara ate her meal of heated lizard eyes pacefully as twin electric eyes flickered from screen to screen, viewing different angles of cameras spread across the kilometer area. Just as she thought all was safe again, leaves flickered out of an overgrown state in front of one of the many cameras, revealing a strange man to the swamp below. He was closer than she would like to admit. All it took was a few coincidentally placed steps, a good set of eyes, or... someone who could sense the Force.
Of course. Why else would someone come so close in the middle of nowhere, with no broken down ship in sight? Hesitating, Kiara started to practice an old skill she never mastered - or so much as ever done. Hiding. She tried to conceal her signature away, and just barely she made a flicker of movement in it. It was a start. Still, the pulsing Frankenstein of a signature burst out wildly in waves of splotches of almost every type of Force side there was, stitched together with what similarities could be found within one another.

It almost seemed like the planet was the perfect place to just be at peace with one's self. So perfect, in fact, Romeo almost found himself asleep only as the rhythm of the animals of the swamp gently soothed his thoughts. The heat, Romeo could have done without the heat though. Still, as his eyes seemed to flutter from staying consciousness and asleep, the Force felt like a shock wave of..well everything. Romeo's body shot up from the root, his hand's not moving for his weapon, but instead watching looking around, more curious than...feeling the need to be cautious.

Dropping back down, he crossed his legs in a meditative form. The crazy mix of Force being expelled from wherever it was felt more invasive to the calming state Romeo was finding himself in, and he wanted to understand why it was doing this, and where. Shutting his eyes, Romeo focused on the aura of the Force, feeling it, observing it thoroughly. He nick picked each feeling, the darkness and the light. He touched the grey areas, and even the colorful areas that flared with emotions he never knew could be so intense.

He tugged each thread, yanking on them as he attempted to follow where they were coming from. The burst would still have a area of concentration, and from there he could pinpoint the cause of the crazy Force.

It failed. The skill had failed, and it cost her with waves of pain through her body. Kiara closed an eye as she focused it into one spot, then began to use that to send back out into the world. Someone was connecting a link with her, that much she could feel, and that was the same link that caused her head to spin with uncontrollable pain. Cautiously she tried to feed it back, sitting against her hut wall with the metal staff falling against the floor to make a small ringing sound.
The hermit had been through pain before, but without keeping herself updated on it, without trying to get used to it, she had herself become vulnerable. The thought crossed her mind several times before. She needed to teach someone everything she knew, and make sure they wouldn't let themselves become a failure as she did to herself.
After another whimper, her hand closed the lid of eyes and she clamped her eyes shut to better focus on the pain and attempt to make it disappear. She was so fragile. So full of power that she didn't hide and control. It was her downfall.

Romeo opened his eyes, he felt pain, great pain nearby. It seemed to be too much for the person, but he could tell that this being was older. He stood up and dusted off his pants. Now he could tell where this being was now, but wondered whether or not this was a good idea. Now caution was coming up. Slowly, he made his way towards the presence now, still observing his surroundings only now was he noticing the cameras that lined the forest all around him.

Stopping in mid step, realizing he was being watched Romeo was now wondering who this person could be. Moving forward again, a hut was now visible to him, but he still questioned this decision. He stopped outside the hut, believing it best to present a none aggressive vibe through the force, Romeo took a deep breath. Taking another step, then another, he found himself at the front door.

Knock.

Knock.

The pain faded away slowly, but it wasn't gone yet. Kiara could feel the presence right outside her door, and didn't make a move to answer it yet. A single hand rubbed across her forehead once, then with the staff, she knocked back with two solid motions on the door. She copied the sound, and the movements.
Even if she wasn't feeling the best, she could still have some fun.

Romeo titled his head in the repeated sound echoing back at him, and he could still feel the pain, but it was fading now. That was good. He hoped this person wasn't severely hurt. Once more he knocked on it, using his knuckles to make a higher pitch sound this time.

Ping Ping Ping.

Maybe the hut was bigger than it looked? No, Romeo knew that was a stupid conception. It sounded like the person was right there at the door, coping him.

Ping ping creeeek.
Without a break in the system, the last knock of her staff opened the door outward in a solid swinging motion. It was intentional. The hut was dirty. Well, it was made of dirt nearly completely. Every shelf, stand, wall, and even the bed was made of a dark dried mud illuminated with only a fire roasting in the corner of the room, with the molds drying on the open side of it. Kiara stared from the mess of scattered droid parts and single jars and boxes of bits of food, letting her electric stare dig into the stranger's form.
It must had been surprising. Strange. Exciting. A dirty blue robed hermit standing in what seemed to be a graveyard for people's stuff. Old clothes, weapons, boots, droids, and a whole lot of tools. There were even bags of credits spilling out of the shelves, seemed to never bothered to be organized.
"Ping."

Again his knocks were repeated, followed by the door opening finally. Before Romeo stood a curious figure draped in blue robes covered with bits of dirt. Of course she would have been, the whole planet was a swamp, and her home appeared to be dirt itself. The frail lady stared at Romeo, probably trying to pierce his soul. He took a step back to let the door open more, and stared back at the little lady with his own shining violet eyes. He could feel she was not just some old lady in the swamp living a dirt house. She spoke once, the word ping, mimicking the sound of the little game the two played. A smile gently formed on Romeo's face. Slowly raising one hand up, he too only spoke one word.

"Hi there."

Fun. Unfortunately, when someone comes all this way to your secluded house in the middle of a swamp planet, you had to ask a question or two. She gazed at his form again, studying it for another moment before her thinning lips moved. "What are you doing here? I don't remember having any appointments until next week."

Something about her voice was just as soothing as the threads that bind the swamp in the Weave, it was soft, and yet somewhat dominating. With a small bow, Romeo answered each question with an honest heart. "Truth be told, I did not know anyone live here. I came searching...for..." Romeo paused to think about what it was he was looking for. He didnt know. "Well..I dont exactly know what I came here for. Please forgive my trespassing of your property."

Romeo turned his head to look behind him, taking in the swamp as whole, letting in the force as it thumbed the threads within the Weave. As a Crawler of the Weave, Romeo was taught by the Lucents that the Force was just one aspect of the cosmic power. There was the Weave, crystal threads binding all that lived, breathed, and existed. Once a Jedi, Romeo followed the Weave, crawling upon those threads as he searched for his being.

His head turned back to look at the little lady. "I'm Romeo Sin."

That sounded like a story a lot of people used lately. I don't know. The Force. Please don't kill me. Very similar. Kiara adjusted her weight onto the staff lazily and stared at the boy's gaze falling behind into the forest. Him turning around was a little surprising. The silence was as if he were in deep thought. "I'm a hermit. I don't really like visitors." She explained with a gentle wave of her hand. "Especially when they don't have a good reason for visiting. I can help you get a bite to eat, then you can be on your way to find whatever you were looking for."

His eyes seemed to gently take her in as she spoke while he listened to each word carefully. She offered him something to fill his stomach and to let him go about his business, though, was this forgiveness for his trespassing or a trap. Romeo pushed those notions away, and focused on the here and now. He nodded gently, rubbing his stomach. "That would be great, thank you for your hospitality. I greatly appreciate it." Romeo was not aware of most people, and the social forms of society. Unknown to him, it made sense, he was tube grown, a clone, and he had no idea. In Romeo's mind, he was the only Romeo Sin.

"I can see why one would live here. It is...a peaceful place, full of live, and energy. The Weave holds strong here."

"Yeah, sure. Don't talk to me about religion." She left the door open and began to gather a few jars and boxes onto her dirt bed. From there, she opened them up and got a few pieces of what looked like meat, some round veggies, and an orange substance of goo. "You can eat some of this here." She continued before resting against the other side of the bed with her staff tucked to her side.
She was in a decent mood, but not enough to start enjoying new knowledge. She had enough on her mind after her painful experience.

Romeo followed the little hermit in, his mind pondering on how she had blasted the area with such multiple aspects of the force with that much magnitude. He didn't realize it had it's own side effect on both her, and him. Inside himself, the darkness that was kept at bay unless provoked stirred from it's slumber. As she prepared food for him, some meets, vegetables, and something...orange, Romeo's personality switched some as her comment on religion felt more like a disrespect. "Do not assume I came to speak on religion hermit. If you wish me to be quiet, simply say so." Taking the food with something of a snatch, he placed some meat in his mouth, chewing on it slowly as his eyes shifted around the hut of dirt, and mold. The darkside was slowly rising up, like a coiled snake preparing to strike.

Without knowledge of who, and what he was, Romeo was a falling risk, a ticking time bomb.

"I don't know why you came, but you did speak of something closely related to a religion, so lock it up and don't mention it." Kiara filtered a small piece of crumb of something sweet into her mouth, and reached down to pick up an old limb with several chips stored inside of it, as well as cords of thin wires. She began to peel some out, looking at them for good use as her eyes flickered from droid to droid on the floor.

Romeo chewed on his meat some more before swallowing it. Her words continued to rise that snake within, culling it out ever so sweetly. "If I wanted to talk religion, I would be with a Jedi, or a Sith. Sitting there letting them drown me in nonsense. You'e the one who woke me up as I was falling asleep with your little trick, invite me for a bite. I don't even know why I am here! How do I know you're not some witch getting ready to sacrifice me to some godd.." He stopped in mid sentence as a flashback swarmed his head. A older, darker him among a crowd of hundreds as...people were stabbed in the name of a goddess Vahl. During this, Romeo's body threw the food down, continuing with the words She calls for us all. The force swirled around Romeo as the vision continued, shaking his chains and shackles. When he came back to, he found himself at the door, preparing to open it. How had he moved on his own during the vision?

"What...what happened?" the snaked had stricken, but at Romeo himself. The confusion, and dread was clear on his face. Romeo was losing who he was every second he was breathing.

Kiara didn't bother to move, even while one of her good jars broke into pieces on the hard dirt floor. Those did not come often in Dagobah, and she didn't really like the metal ones she could find. Oh well. Her gaze went to the man as he ranted on and prepared to leave at her door, which she didn't mind, but as he came back from his vision and turned to her, she adjusted in her seat.
"You look like your possessed, but that would be too obvious, wouldn't it?" She asked as she nibbled on another crumb of something from her pocket. "Religion."

His eyes moved across the floor of broken glass, then shifted back to the hermit as she spoke on more about religion. Again the darkness coiled around his heart, swiftly moving to the woman. His hand reached for the cowl of her robes, his eyes shifted from a pretty violet, to a violent ruby red. "I am not religious! What do I need to do to make you think you otherwise old hermit!?" His vision cleared again, the random, and epic fluctuation of his soul was beginning to take a toll on his mind. He released her, and backed up with a sweat building up on his forehead. "I-I'm sorry.." He moved to the glass, his presence becoming like a child in the force. Slowly, he began to pick it up the broken pieces, holding them in a makeshift pouch he produced with his shirt. "I was at war...a man of darkness kept saying I wore the face of his ally...what did he mean..?"

That trigger was obvious. Kiara looked down at the pieces of glass as they were cleaned up. They probably weren't very useful anymore anyways. It was eventually for the best. Her gaze trailed up again to his face, looking into it. "Well you don't look like any ally I know, so I have only a few theories. I'm not good for this stuff though. I work on droids and training, not solving mysteries for old age warriors."
