When We Meet (Kiara)

[member="Kiara"]

The large reptile swiped at Romeo to once more miss as the man ducked out of the way, and rushed to the other side of the creature. With no answer from his trainer, he found himself on his own. Again another swipe, but from it's tail this time as it connected, smashing into Romeo causing him to go sailing across the swamp. Skidding, and skipping across the ground, he gained cuts and bruises.

Romeo picked himself up, his body crying out for it to stop being abused in such ways. The dragon snake thing was rapidly moving towards him, going in for the kill with a wide open mouth. Calmly, he took a breath, and focused on the force around him, and gathered it inside. When Romeo felt he had obtained enough he reached out, and just before the monster could stop, he braced himself. With his hands Romeo reached out as if to stop it, and it did. It's mouth wide open, he held it back with the force. The strain made him realize he had more than a few cuts and bruises, more like a few broken ribs.

After a few moments of watching the battle, Kiara got up and used her staff as leverage through the muddy pieces of land. Slowly and steadily she made way to her student, and there watched the stabilizing move of him using the Force. At least he knew how to use that. She didn't say anything. This was his time to learn, and self experience was no doubt the best way in this opportune moment.

He could not let his focus become disrupted by the movements of the hermit, no that would lead to certain death. His opponent was right here in front of him, and that's all that mattered. Blood began to seep of his cuts, running down dirt and muck he had attained form skipping across the ground while Romeo's eyes watched the movements of the creature. Suddenly, he realized what he had over the animal. Sure, it was smart, it was strong, but everything about this creature was primal and predicable. Even though there was a force holding the thing back, it could see him, and smell him still. It wasn't smart enough to try another way, but head on attacks.

Spreading his arms apart while focusing on the jaws of the beast, Romeo was attempting to break it's jaws and neck. The move was tiring and the focus overwhelming. Still, slowly, the head of the dragon snake began to twist, and it's jaws opening wide with Romeo's movement. It was working.

Oh, how clever. Now they could eat for a day. She smirked and wondered off behind her student, watching the dragon snake with curiosity as it began to perish. She wouldn't have spent so long trying to kill such an easy creature, but that was the whole point of this exercise. See what he does. Let him be his own person, for now, then learn something else later.

With gritting teeth, he continued to spread the beat's jaws more and more till finally there was the popping down, and it went limp as it's head twisted in a odd angle. Falling to his rear end, Romeo had to catch his breath slowly as his rips felt like they were being poked by a thousand needles. His head turned to look at the hermit with a little spark in his eyes. "That's not a fish."

Kiara shrugged off the statement, going to look at the dragon snake. Luckily, they didn't travel in packs, or a sudden counter attack would for sure over power them both. "Cooks like one." She said, and without another word, picking up the tail of the beast, then dropped it. "So you can survive a few seconds under water and kill a fish. Can you cook it?" She asked with a small grin on her face.

Taking in slow breaths to ease some of the pain he felt, Romeo straightened his back to release some of the pressure being placed on his broken rips. He watched the hermit move around the beast, curious as to way it mattered if he could cook it, because he couldn't. "If I had something sharp, and something to produce sparks to make a fire I could try." Romeo opted to keep his serious wounds hidden, no point in whining.

"Well?" She asked, opening her arms to that around her. "I'm no nurse droid, but its fangs look plenty sharp, and the woods have provided me everything I need, and more."

Romeo stood up, making a flinching motion as he got up. "Right, right." He held his side as he lipped over to it. When he finally reached it, Romeo looked into it's mouth, sure enough the teeth appeared quite sharp. "What you fail to realize." Romeo's hand pointed out to the teeth. "They appear for gnashing, not slicing. I doubt this will work well...I have a better idea.." Focusing on the force, rendering the fleshly scale slab back and forth until it began rip apart. He slung the dead flesh over to the feet of the hermit. "Much more efficient."

Kiara gently tapped her head in front of Romeo, then trekked back a few steps away to see what he would do. "You're powerful in the Force, but do you have enough stamina for it?" She asked lazily as she waved a hand around to begin yanking down all the loose and broken sticks and leaves from the very top of the trees with a multiple witch reach. "You must determine if you should use to help yourself, others, or if one or the other, how to build together what you need first. Prioritize."

He wasnt sure what she was doing with the tree tops, and branches, shaking them around like a mad woman. Romeo's only guess was after he felt rain, no water droplets from the shaking hit his body. Along with the wet greenery falling, the water itself would make it hard to catch anything on fire. This was not something Romeo could prevent, and he knew it. He was too tired, and too much in pain. Fatigue was kicking in as the body demanded rest from his injuries and so much use of the Force. It was not used to so much action at once. "I...I dont think I can keep doing this." He spoke softly as if about pass out. Romeo sat down, looking at at the leaves falling. "You have me here...what do I do?"

The hermit scoffed loudly, acting as if her student had learned nothing. Well, that is what she was hoping for. She wanted to lean the boy to the edge of dying and force him to come back, or force him to control his strength in order to use his 'other side' efficiently. "Tired?" She spat out as the sticks bundled themselves against her seemingly fragile form. "Do you think nature will care if you're tired? Do you think DEATH will wait for you to regain your health and lick your wounds? Get up and cook your fish! Stupid little boy!"

The pain seared into his nerves, shockwaves of heat went up his spine as the woman spoke. Romeo just wanted to relax, and be let his wounds heal some. He felt he wasnt asking too much. So why, was this woman so intent on making him continue? "What are you running here? A Sith boot camp? I have broken rips! I deserve a small time to catch my breath!" Romeo stood up and walked over to the woman, his eyes shining violet. "It's a damn reptile by the way! Look at that thing! Nature isn't as harsh as what you are talking about, that's war! They're different. Nature's threat is dealt with, right there!" Romeo pointed at the snake thing, his breathing was becoming heavy as the anger fuel his need to move, and defend himself in this argument. "You haven't taught me anything! I had to do this all on my own! And sure, I can see why you did that now, but it's time you stepped in, and lead the way a little!"
