"Woo!" Chaf'arcar'usorn shouted, rifle in the air as he watched the Chiss bombers soar by. "That's what I'm talking about, marines. Bring the rain, bring the pain."
The Captain cast a concerned eye toward where he had seen Mars'inis'tlicu last running, hoping the Commando had managed to avoid being hit by any of the high explosives. Given the fact the he felt comfortable charging a landing zone by himself, chances were he would be fine. Still, the marines needed to hustle, making sure to get onto the landing pad proper and to round up any remaining IMC forces.
"Move in, marines, secure the landing zone," Chaf'arcar'usorn said through his comlink, as he started to run down the hill, rifle aimed as he double-timed his arrival below. "This is Captain Chaf'arcar'usorn to any IMC guards or mercenaries, your gunships have been destroyed and we have surrounded your position. Stand down, lower your weapons, and prepare to be detained... or don't, and we keep slugging it out until you're all dead."
From the landing zone, amid the debris and fire and smoke, were a few dozen humanoid forms moving around. They weren't marines, and they looked stunned. Probably because of the explosives and all the noise, some eardrums were likely burst, shrapnel damage was probably likely. So, when the marines began moving forward, approaching from different angles with weapons ready to open fire, it was little surprise that the IMC forces raised weapons above their heads.
"We surrender, don't shoot," One of them shouted, as the group of shell shocked guards and mercs began tossing down their arms. "Damn Chiss..."
Chaf'arcar'usorn reached the platforms, weaving through smoking chunks of metal and small fires, as he approached the IMC guard that seemed to have the highest rank badge. Looked like it was a fellow 'Captain'. With a smirk, the marine narrowed his crimson eyes as he stopped in front of the other sentient, a Duros, and kept his rifle pointed at the being's chest.
"Glad you have some sense after all... now, why don't you all stand there quietly while my marines begin cuffing you. Don't resist or we shoot."
The Captain looked around, eyebrows raised, before he called out.
"Mars'inis'tlicu, you alive?"
