Voroll and the group of Imperial Cadets waited for their communications device to gain a strong signal from outside the research facility when one of them spoke up, a young male who looked human enough, except for a deep, blood-red set of two triangles next to each other tattooed on his left cheek, towards the ear.
"Can you feel that?" He began, withdrawing a lightsaber that, Voroll assumed, he must have created during training. When ignited it shone the clear silver of all Imperial Knight lightsabers. Another ignited and the owner of that lightsaber also stood.
"I do. What might it be?" Her accent seemed typical of Coruscant-born twi'leks, but she was not of that species. The two looked around the area, as if to try and ascertain what it was they felt. The emotions radiating from the pair were, at least to Voroll, dangerously hostile. He could feel both their excitement - probably for a fight - but fear, so much fear.
The Kiffar with the red triangular tattoos, who Voroll knew only as Gollada, moved to stand next to another human cadet of about the same age. His fear spiked. And then he struck. The silver lightsaber swung through the human cadet's shoulder and across, decapitating him almost instantly. The female took the signal and attacked the nearest to her: her lightsaber, instead of swinging through a body, spun upwards into the armpit of the unfortunate cadet whose consciousness was lost in that very instant.
