As George sat and watched the masterful display of Tutaminis in front of him he could really feel it in his mind. Almost as if he was the one absorbing the blaster bolts. It took a strain or George's mind, but he guessed that must be apart of it, he would have to move on and get over it.

As the blaster bolts stopped George clapped as Spencer caught the last one in her absorbing hand. "Well done Spencer." He cheered whilst he clapped and made his way to his feet, he knew it was his turn. He quickly ran over it in his mind. Create a barrier close to the hand, it will be safe. It will be safe. He though to himself as he made his way over to Master Coci and Spencer. "I take it is my turn now Master?" He asked. The young padawan was both excited and scared; he wanted to do it but felt if he failed it could hurt... But you know what they say, what hurts you make you stronger... It was something George was going to have to get use to.

There was a time to troll Coryth, become physically affectionate or make an attempt at flirtation. The latter usually came across as quite awkward because Kaida actually sucked at flirting. Well, she was about as witty as a plank. In any case, the time for that was not now. Fortunately Kaida was, all things considered, a rather reserved woman, so she treated the lesson the same way as if a superior in the Angelii was giving instructions. "Understood," she said, you might have guessed it, laconically.

Illusions were not something the Angelii practiced. For one it clashed with their mind set, which was focused on direct combat as a unit in the phalanx or in small groups. Diverging from the general plan and operating alone was discouraged. Tight discipline was everything, as it should be from Kaida's perspective. Still, she could recognise the utility of illusions and such, hence why she was here.

Well, that was one reason. Oggling the tiny redhead was very pleasant as well. So without further ado she tried to apply the lesson a practical lesson. It helped that she was not the talkative sort or easily distracted. So what she did was simple, namely immerse herself within the Force as she sought to focus. Angelii training differed from Jedi one in a number of ways, but the basics of meditation were the same. It took and time concentration - plenty of both actually. Her brow furrowed as she focused upon the tangled web of power, reaching out to pull at the right strings and bring order to the chaos.

At first she made the error of pushing too hard and so a feeling of annoyance washed over her like rain when the shining light eluded her. However, not one to leave things half-done, she took a breath and soldiered on, but this time in a calmer, more controlled manner. Presumably she saw light and a tunnel. What? What kind of cliched crap is this? Get over it, Kaida, your writer says so.

Willpower was crucial, so she focused, slowly emptying her mind as she sought to imprint the image of the rock upon it. It was quite annoying and a queen to focus on, but there was some overlap when it came to harnessing her Sciia for the fine-tuning required for some of the more complex manipulations of cryomancy. Bit by bit, step by step, she focused alone on the image of the stone. Just a tiny rock, yet it took a lot effort to concentrate on it alone. In the distance she could see the fragile threads of light and she reached out with her power, trying to grasp them.

As the last of the bolts flew toward Spencer and with great skill, absorbed into her body. "Do you feel that George?", she simply asked. "Do you feel what Spencer is doing?".

Coci inclined her head in a respectful bow. She had been more than able to block Spencer's attack to the mind, having much experience with this herself, the headache did not manifest for Coci, (pity her writer could not do the same in RL). Many days Coci had spent in the medical bay, her mind effectively shut down in order to keep away the evil presences of the Taung that had possessed her.

She lowered the blaster and changed the setting to stun once more, "What Spencer did there was to show you two very good examples of what must be done when you employee this skill. When you absorb energy and heat, you must get rid of it, you cannot 'store it'. Spencer illustrated this in the form of an 'attack' to the mind, you can of course do other things. She also showed, that our 'enemy' will do the same, but .. so can you".

"Up you get, it is your turn, be mindful of what you have learned".

He could not help but smile and laugh at the White Haired man's response. Yes it was probably the answer that the man named Coren wanted, but considering his position and lack of skills that would not be how Théo would handle said situation. No, not at all! "Run", he started. "I would run and find a safe place and think about a plan. And I would not tell the 'enemy' what I was going to do", he grinned.

Was this what the man was going to do to them now? Théo looked around the place, the immediate area to find anything that would help him if this was to pass. He might not be skilled in the force yet, strong and powerful like his father, but one thing Théo did have was cunning.

"Yes Master, I could feel it. Like a large pressure on my head. It was very interesting." George replied to Master Coci. It was a masterful display and it was now time for George to step in and try his hand at it. He was confident that he would be able to absorb the hit, but that was only the beginning.

"Master Coci, what happens if I can't control the release of energy? How will it leave?" George understood the absorbing of the energy, but releasing it, that was something else. Spencer seemed to be a master of Tutaminis and obviously had learnt to control where the energy absorbed ended up. But that was something George was hesitant on. He didn't want it to be released as some violent outburst. This is something he would also have to concentrate on whilst it happened.

It was George's turn, it was time for him to test what he had learnt through what he had felt and seen and put it into practice. Best case scenario he controls the absorbed energy and he lets it flow out calmly, worst case scenario he doesn't absorb the bolt or he releases the energy uncontrolled. It was all up to George, he knew what he had to do, but whether or not he could do it was a different story.

Coren nodded. The two padawans were clearly indoctrinated by the Jedi. There were ways to go about the fighting of the dark side, but majority of the Silvers seemed like they would rather talk it out. Some people were too far gone. If they were coming at you and didn’t show any interest in wanting to talk out their actions. The Sith and dark siders who wanted to talk, they’d talk. The ones who wanted to kill? They’d kill.

He didn’t see any use in talking it out with someone like that. You had to fight back. Who knew, maybe the Masters of the Shields of Heavens would get cranky with him passing along this kind of lesson. He looked to the white-haired apprentice after they had both spoke and nodded. “If a Sith, say, is coming after you, they’re going to keep coming. A barrier is pretty effective at stalling them, but what if you’re not carrying a blaster, and they’re coming? You want to stall them, you want to break them to give yourself a chance to turn the tide.”

Sith weren’t expecting the Jedi to attack, they were expecting them to run, to talk, to block, but not attack. And if you could throw something new into the mix? That was always useful. “Hiding though, they’re going to turn a world upside down to get their quarry, I’ve seen it.” He looked at them both “Now, what would you suggest, if you knew the foe was coming with blood on their mind? Not going to say my way is the best, especially if you’re worried about some council’s thoughts. But for my money, I’d be doing my best to hit at the enemy as hard as I could.” And he had a few ways to do that. "So, thought experiment, just for fun, everything is possible, nothing's off limits. What would you greet that lightning with?" A Jedi had more than just protection in their arsenal. And weren't the Silvers supposed to be an Anti-Dark-Side and Militant Jedi group?

Offense was the best offense, after all.

The closest thing Audren could think of in relation to the example was a stalking nexu. One that had caught eye of prey could stalk for hours, though taking that long was exceedingly rare. Nexu hunters were the patient ones, the outriders understood that hitting first was oftentimes the only way to stay alive. That said, Sith and nexu were two different beasts. Not to mention that Audren didn't really have much experience with proper military weapons.

Optimally, the Sephi would have tools to work with. At least a lightsaber or vibroblade. No doubt there were Force abilities that would allow him to fight offensively as well, but given that he was just learning powers that affected the self, he really didn't know yet how he would affect others. Stories of Jedi lifting starfighters or pushing droids through walls were all well and good, but if he couldn't do that, stories were all they were. So he came up with something more believable, something he'd be able to do.

"Cloud of metal to attract the lightning, something to hit the Sith at a distance and maybe an angle. Gun, or a throwing knife, something fast enough to slip through while the lightning plays with the distraction."

It also had to do with the nature of lightning. Using the metal pieces to attract the lightning was one thing, but if he tried to put a metal blade up the middle of that stream it would just be one more thing for the lightning to hit. Maybe it would get through, maybe not. Hitting a target in the armpit or open area while the lightning was busy curling around a cloud of metal a meter or two to one side, that was definitely a possibility.

Spencer wiped her hands, no matter how strong she had become in the skill, it still burned after the application. The palms of her hands were slightly red and they ran against the soft material of her pants to wipe away any thing that lingered. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out a small bag and started on its contents. The small chocolates melted in her mouth as she happily moved aside to allow the Padawan his chance at the skill. After a few chocolates here and there, she answered the question.

“The energy will manifest itself into something, don’t split your focus – focus on just absorbing the energy. Keep your mind open, imagine the energy cascading through your body and escaping through your skin. It shouldn’t do anything but enter the air around you.” Eating another chocolate she shrugged, “If anything you’ll create static around your being and if something bad happens Master Coci and I can deal with what you manifest.” Putting the candy back into her pouch and crossed her arms in front of her.

“Just focus on drawing a barrier around your hands and accepting the energy into your body, then slowly release it outwards in the area around you. You’ll be fine Padawan, trust the force and trust yourself”

The one day Sebastian had managed to sleep in, the resident masters of the bloody academy had decided to throw some sort of training extravaganza on the lawns. The noise was unbelievable.

Irritated beyond belief at being woken up from such a pleasant sleep, the old Master threw the covers off himself and strode purposefully to the window. Without any hesitation, he opened it and clambered out onto the sill. He could see the obnoxious gathering on the lawn below him, and, judging the distance enough to have the desired effect, he took a swan dive off his windowsill to the gathering below.

Using the Force to lend his dive speed and power, the ancient Master descended to the middle of the gathering like a meteor. He hit the ground in a crouch with an almighty THUDDDDDD! and immediately drew himself to his full (and not very substantial) height to address the astonished gathering. The fact that he was wearing nothing but his underwear went unnoticed in his irritation.

"Is all respect for the elderly dead?" He asked the group at large. Since he neither looked, and certainly didn't act like an old man, it seemed an absurd comment to lead with. "When any of you get to the ripe old age of 150 standard years, you'll understand just how annoying it is to be woken up by the screams of the initiated failing at using the Force!"

He gave everyone the kind of look that burns then added: "Also, good morning, lovely day."

Seems the self-entitlement didn’t miss Jedi masters in this day and age. Spencer was victim to it as well, but she remembered getting a notice about the training lessons a head of time. She glanced over at the man that seemed to feel that his sleep was the most important thing in this known galaxy. It rubbed the woman wrong, even if he was attempting to be funny. Shrugging, she waved off his disgruntled nature. “It’s not our fault that you’re old and can’t sleep.” Pushing herself off the small table she shook her head.

“If your sleep is so important to you, you should have taken the precautions to stay somewhere else. Also without the training you’re old grumpy self can’t retire and relax.” Turning her attention back towards the padawan who was training Tutaminis, she spoke sharply towards the man who obviously wasn’t aware of his attire. “By the way, before you come down throwing your age around, try and put on proper clothing. You’re going to scare the children.”

[member="Sebastian Nadav"]

Finding herself late very late for such an important training. Shake of her head one no it was a few times. It wasn't as if she didn't like this idea, it was just that all seem to happen at once around here. Now days with the darkness nipping at their heals.

In her mind had she thought being out here keep the order safe from the on going of the core. No it was more like a dream. Who was she fooling herself like anyone could see that it had came to this part of the galaxy also.

With the padawn coming into their mist one must take action, to know where it stands. During those times that she need to push be on what knew that matter the most to her, to be the mother protector she knew she could be. Not only to her children but to the innoncents of the galaxy. [member="Xander Carrick"] where ever he might be knowing he was doing his part. How there was many nights missed having his warmness beside just that present as if made everything okay.

Her thought on her dear close friend that had seen what these dark force users could do to a person that as on the lightside of the force. As they saw it the wrong side all together. @ Nima Tann this one had hit her hard to the fact how much healing it took even then she could make it all better. How could she be a Master healer if she couldn't fix up right one of her fellow Jedi. Even as she was deep in thought.

Bump before she saw [member="Sebastian Nadav"] standing before her in his glory. "OH dear have you wander out of your room, how didn't the medical staff see you leave," just one more things she would have to address and worry about. "If I was you sir listen to the blonde Master, I go find something to put on I don't think those younglings need to see some old man wrinkle behind, for sack your old enough to be their grandfather don't you have some respect.", sighing had she just went off on one of her fellow Master oh dear my had this really taken a total on her so much.

As Spencer spoke, Sebastian's face progressed through a series of astonishing color changes as certain realizations came to him. The first (and easiest to fix) was that he was standing before the vast majority of the Order wearing nothing but his briefs. He casually waved a hand and the Force drew itself across his body, creating the illusion of wearing pants and a t-poodoo.

The second realization was that he had received notice about the event and had actually planned on taking part in it as an instructor. It wasn't the first time he regretted his old age. The Force managed to stave off the worst of the effects, but some things, like forgetting things here and there, were just too human. It was then that he heard the voice of someone mentioning the medical staff--"nurse witches" Sebastian thought of them. Always telling him he was too old to be doing things, or too careless or too forgetful. What did they know?!

But if she mentioned them, then they must be coming for him. Sebastian would not be taken prisoner, not again! Turning to Maya with an expression of the utmost terror on his face, he had only a few words for her.

"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!"

And promptly vaulted back up to his window to find some proper clothing and reintroduce himself to the gathering in a more dignified fashion later on.

As Spencer moved to allow the young Padawan the space she offered a few words of advice and encouragement. The words brought a smile to the Padawans face, he now had an idea on how to do it. He was ready and willing. But before he could start a small commotion began behind him. An old man wearing nothing but his underwear had landed in the middle of the garden. Spencer was not pleased and understandably so. The old man had not yet realized his mistake and began yelling at the trainees, apparently his sleep was more important the teaching of the Jedi. But who was to oppose an old man?

Spencer and Master Maya were, speaking to the man in a aggressive tone both agreed that he should leave and put some clothes on before returning. It was a good idea as George really hadn't need that image imprinted in his head and at the worst possible time too. Shaking his head he returned his attention to Master Coci shaking the image out of his and focusing on the task at hand. "I think I am ready Master Coci." He spoke to the Master holding the blaster. He cleared his mind and placed his hand out in front of him. Focusing the force around him and concentrating it on the outstretched hand.

Apologies, didn’t see your post without a tag!

Looking around the others, Connor thought this was a joke or a rest put upon him by one of the others. Why did he attract many with little or no confidence? He sighed at the irritation of this Padawan

”Where my hostile words were coming from?”

A little chuckle escaped him, one of those that may be heard from a person about to launch into a barrage of retaliation. Connor folded his arms.

”I – I – I? What’s with the confidence you don’t have? Why are you here to learn about how to wall up your mind against the attacks of mentalism when you’re as open as a book right now, with a mind that needs to think before it allows the words to come out.”

He leaned over and pushed his finger to Ren’s brow.

”Stop narrating your thoughts inside there, because I can read every single one of them. When you do that on the battlefield, you’ll be nothing but exposed to the enemy as an unconfident, unaware and unprotected Jedi whelp.”
