Would you like some water with that sand? [Rhommamool]

"Grumpy" she whispered over to Mara, wiggling her soft blond brows and smiling. "Especially when he's hungry." there came a small wink.

"Good," she shot over to Jorus, "How long til we get there?'

Linna Beorht enlisted an Omega Pyre functionary to massage her shoulders as she typed furiously, beginning a masterful public relations blitz focused on Rhommamool -- and its twin planet Osarian, the rich one. She framed the issue thus:

  • Osarian's responsibility for Rhommamool's welfare can be lightened by Omega Pyre, the exact statistics and monetary values to be determined
  • Omega Pyre is a good partner to have
  • Cheese

She erased the last line, ate some cheese, drank some wine, and kept writing, bombarding Osarian's government with the benevolence and, above all, neighbourliness of Omega Pyre.

"It is a job," she said, checking off the manifest. "And depends on the situation i guess." she answered, walking over to another ship to see the uploading of crates.

She shot him a glance, "You do the same?"

"Only when I have to. Some missions don't give you showers. That's generally when I use rivers and the like.", he quips, waving a load of medical supplies out and towards a nearby town. "We got everything?"

Thadd's personal shuttle set down next to Ayden's freighter near one of the larger cities. Thadd stormed off the landing ramp of the shuttle towards the other Omega personel. There was an air of frustration about Thadd. He tapped his wrist console as the landing pad of the shuttle lifted. Thadd had been in-system when he got the general call from Ayden about the relief effort here. Although he was set-out on getting some needed rest after their training and the last war... Thadd answered the call. There was no talk of pay either...
"Sarge, Aeron... Whats going on here?"

Mao stood grinning like the nexu drank the cream with a thick cigar in her mouth and a heavy duty blaster rifle in hand on top of one of the ramps of the ships destined for Rhommamool.

Humanitarian aid. Well, it wasn't shoving the butt of her blaster rifle to someone's face, but she figured it needed to get done.

"Alright boys, we are providing security you hear!" she shot over to Omega Squad.

Jorus ripped open a package of spiced ribene packages -- yes, double-packaged for your convenience. He popped the packages into the reheater. Hyperspace couldn't blur by fast enough. "Yes, I'm hungry. But mostly I'm overjoyed. We'll be there in less than an hour, near as I can figure. I plotted a fething good course.

"Oh, and I rode a Duinuogwuin."

The strike came quick. What was that all about?

Wariness came to her blue gaze as she brought out her diskblade. "Go... I will ensure this all gets sent where it needs to go."

Thadd eyed the fellow soldier.... His lax attitude made him wonder why he had made the course change to help out here. But he still was going to do his best. "What is that we are doing here Sarge..." Thadd said with a renewed force of voice....

Sarge hurried off with a curt nod, jumping aboard a transport as it rolled out of the landing area and towards the curling haze of smoke in the distance. @[member="Electrobe"] was gonna get a boot in the butt when Sarge found out he did this.

"You did what?" oh it wasn't shock that caused her to blurt that out. It was a bit of admiration and even a tinge of jealousy.

"When?!" she asked, poking her head closer to him to see his face.

"Well... looks like we get to protect the goods now." smoke rose over her eyes, the nicitating membranes of the Firrerreo keeping the acrid smoke away from her eyes.

"Spread out!"

"Humanitarian aid!", he shouts with a wave as he disappears into the disaster area. CorSec was quite happy now, since technically they could wave their guns around at this point. Sarge couldn't blame them.

"Sergeant Major, help me find survivors!"

With that, he began a methodical search for anyone still living.

"Really, really recently. I got drunk with a Selonian and she sold me the coordinates to the Graveyard of the Dragons. It turned out to be legit. Mara and Sarge and I went, and we found this huge dragon, like a hundred metres long, just getting ready to die. And he was blind.

"So I offered to let him use my eyes, and told him about that time we went to the Flamewind of Oseon. I got in a space suit, got on his back, and flew with him all the way to Oseon. He saw through my eyes, I learned how to do instinctive astrogation on purpose...and then he died. Just vanished under me like a Jedi Master."

He told her more of the story, every detail he could remember -- and then the Gypsymoth jumped out of hyperspace over Rhommamool.

While the rest of the guys went to double check who blew up what; Aeron took her datapad manifest and went to talk to the local aid of the planet. He appeared pretty confused, looking around at the crates of supplies, food, water purifiers.

"What is all this?"

Aeron gave a faint smile.

"I'm Aeron Kreelan," she extended her hand to shake his. "From the Omega Protectorate. We are here to give you guys what we figured would come in handy. Food, medicine, supplies."

Linna continued to type, and to call people, and to basically get every friend she could beg, borrow, bribe, steal, blackmail, coerce, seduce or otherwise influence on the nearby and wealthy world of Osarian. They dominated the system which they shared with Rhommamool. They would be absolutely necessary.

"Get those moisture vaporators down. I don't intend on shriveling on this planet." Ayden directed the cargo as it was unloaded. Unforunately, an explosion took his attention away from things. "Sithspit. Sarge, looks like I owe someone a drink after this." He ran off in the direction of one explosion that rocked an outlying part of the city. Someone was karking with his work, and that didn't sit well with Ayden.

He started moving debris, looking for survivors and keeping an ear out for signs of the person behind all this being found or running.
