I used to write in first person almost exclusively and I still love it to death.
So yeah, do what makes you feel good and just have fun with it. That's all that matters in the end.

I feel that it is not a very collaborative form of writing as it favors one particular individual in the given thread. I think it is fine to do it in books and articles, but on a roleplay forum I don't like it since we're trying to create stories together.

But also don't force what doesn't come naturally. I value a killer storyline and good writing above all (beautiful writing makes me swoon). I can overlook a certain narrative form if you're a great storyteller.
