Yo Ho Yo Ho (Dragon's Thorn Crew)

She was Echani. That didn't just mean she was a certain race. It was an entire culture. She had a family name. The name Fenni meant something back home. Her family was a proud one, old, home to the Galaxy's greatest warriors. She had so much riding on her after her sisters death. Janira Fenni, the perfect twin. She'd been the families pride. The perfect warrior. Then she died. Nobody killed her. Nobody was good enough. It was her heart that had given out in the end. But it was a shameful death. Not the death the clan had expected.
Now they were looking to Zandra, to her legacy. She had never been able to beat her sister in one on one combat. Not once. But she had shown skill, even if it was a rough unpolished skill. She'd fought with such life, emotion. The art of the sword was her very existence. It was like seeing or hearing. Just another sense to her.

And now someone was telling her that she may never have that skill back again.

The Echani stared down at the black gloved hand, then to her burning cigara, then back to the hand. Without a word, she snuffed her cigara out on her mechanical palm.

A sizzle, and then the ember died, leaving a small burn in her glove. She looked back up at the doctor with clear eyes.

"Yer all I can afford, Doc. I ain't given up. You ain't given up neither."

How long had it been? Kage couldn't remember. Once, he was in the Dread Guard, elite group of clone commandos whose soul purpose was to protect the C.I.S. Now, he was here. What did he do wrong? He left, that's what. He left the Dread Guard, went AWOL. Now? He was an alcoholic, sitting in his usual corner, his eyes hovering around the bar in an effort to find a cute boy and keep his mind off of the past.

[member="Thorn"] was the first one to stand out, and with a slight bemused grin he would get up from his seat, stepping over to the captain.

"You look like you could use a drink.. Join me?"

Purple eyes hung on he man, the grin slowly getting wider as it was clear how buzzed he really was.

Was. . .Someone talking to her? Kath blinked in surprise, then adressed [member="Raphael d'Assad"] directly.
"If I tell you no, will you leave me to my misery and drinking?"
The tender set a glass of blue liquid down in front of her, and the Epicanthix snatched it up, an arrogant smirk on her face. She brought it up to her lips, and swallowed some.
It was the burn that got her, she would claim later. The burn was why she had spewed the drink on the counter, and pounded on her chest to get a breath as she coughed violently. After she had recovered, a blush covered her cheeks, and the bartender stared at her expectantly.
". . .Blue milk, please." She ordered quietly, her eyes remaining on the counter.
As she sipped her less harmful drink, Kath looked over the room. She noticed a man sitting at a table, @Thorn. Then another one, [member="Kage"], joined him.
And finally, a giant of a man she recognized as the former Pirate Lord [member="Detorin"] walked over.
If Detorin was talking to them, that meant it was pirate business. . .
Interested, her grey eyes watched them carefully, interested as to where this went.
IF they were forming a crew, then she wanted off this trash heap.

Finally some company. Thorn looked up at the older, very seasoned pirate and motiined for him to sit. Based on what Thorn observed about the antique looking pirate, the man had more command experience in his metal hand than Thorn had in his entire life. A smug grin wiped on his face at the sight of an extra bottle of rum. This was going to be a great day of drinking if anything else.

"I'm Lookin fer a crew," he answered pouring the man a drink and pushing it over toward him. "If yer interested ye can tell me what ye offer. As long as yer usefull I won't toss ye out of th'airlock."

The invitation was given, but Thorn already knew he'd be joining. His eyes rolled when a younger looking pirate came along, or a drunk, or something. Whoever it was clearly had way to much to drink and liked the men. Unfortunately for the man, Thorn only had sex with ladies. Though if drinks were being offered, the man could drink with them. He motioned. Maybe he'd prove worth while for the crew.

Another quick moment passed and the redhead Thron had been looking at spewed her drink out and ordered a blue milk. This was too entertaining. The young redhead clearly was not used to alcohol. Thorn stood up, and told the other men to hold on for a moment. He had to get this gal drinking properly. Looking at the bar tender he held up a finger and pointed at the ale.

"Start with that. No one drinks the blue stuff for their first drink, lassie. Tell ye what, join me fer a little chit chat. Lookin fer a crew and yer greasy hands there tell me he may be the kind to tinker with fixin things. You want off this planet, you'll follow me, if not, ye won't."

Thorn looked at the other man with her.

"You too."

"What I can offer?" The old man chuckled, throwing his head back slightly as he took a big gulp of rum. Slamming the mug back on the table, he pointed a crude finger at Thorn. "I offer experience, loyalty an' some of the best gungslingin' across the hyperlanes. Never was another pirate able to best my shot, or me sword for that matter." Detorin then turned as more people began appearing by the table. It seemed he had caught some attention, it couldn't be a coincidence that half the cantina shows up when he comes over. "Seems yer got yerself plenty o' volunteers," He nodded as he examined the bunch, tilting his head at the end. "I've seen worse..." A wide grin showed his rotten teeth again, but quickly it was covered by his mug as he gulped down more rum. Afterwards he leaned backwards, curious to see the talents of the others who had come at the word of a forming crew.

Raphael would watch [member="Kath"] as she took a sip of the blue liquor, then spewed it everywhere. He couldn't help but laugh at young girl's reaction to the strong drink. He laughed ever harder when she ordered a glass of blue milk, and ashamed look upon her face. After he finished his laughing fit, he'd grab the blue liquor from the bar in front of them, and took a sip. It burned his throat, but that's how he liked it. However, did did feel a bit bad for her, so he drank in silence. Then, a man walked up from behind them, and mentioned something about leaving the planet. After drinking a little more of the blue stuff, he spoke to the young girl. "What do you say, should we go and see what this guy's talking about? Or, is your mommy expecting you home by six?" He added the last quip to tease her about her age. He was still laughing a bit from her reaction to the drink.

As the talk of pirate crews ran around the Cantina, focussing in on a select few, Ydrin sat still and continued to sip his drink. Unlike the red head, he had been drinking since a young age, well, younger age than his 19 years, due to the many high class parties he had attended. And although all he had been drinking at those parties had been wine, after his times sneaking out of his parent's strict gaze and off of the land of his families estate, he had taken to sitting in cantinas, sipping at a drink and watching the social interaction of his fellow customers.

Doing the same as he had done so back on Naboo, the young genius stared out over the crowds, running the idea of joining the crew through his mind while he savoured the taste of his current drink, one with a strong bitter kick that left an oddly sweet aftertaste.

Just as he was finishing his drink, Ydrin finished the mental debate he had be warring in against himself. Placing the mug down, he decide that he would give this pirate gig a chance. He had left to explore the galaxy and practice his skills as a doctor after all, and this was the perfect chance. He resolved to go and join the slowly growing group and put forwards his offer. 'As soon as I get a refill. This drink's nice.' The thought came as he was rising from his seat, starring at his now empty glass as he did so.

Kath gave the ale a furtive glance, then shook her head. She wasn't going through that again.
So, this guy wanted to whisk her away on a magical adventure among the stars, pillaging and partying on a ship with a bunch of outlaws, huh?
She's down with that.
She winced at [member="Raphael d'Assad"]'s comment, remembering the spot in her garage with the blastermark where her mother was killed.
But this nerfherder didn't need to know that.
"I think I'm as ready as any to get off this dump of a planet."
At [member="Thorn"]'s table, Kath plopped down in a seat, her arm flung off the back as she leaned back, her grey eyes examining it's occupants.
"Glad I meet your approval, old man." She quipped at [member="Detorin"]'s comment, channeling her mother at that moment, who she looked almost exactly alike.
This Epicanthix hybrid was ready to get this show started.

As the girl would get up to go for the pirates' table, so would the assassin. He grabbed the blue drink, and brought it with him. A free drink was not something to turn down under any circumstances.

He looked at the motley crew surrounding the table, and have a bit of a frown. They didn't all look in their prime (namely, [member="Detorin"] ). But then again, it was a group of mercs and pirates, what was one to expect? Raphael stood in the back of the group, remaining vigilant.

Lorane smiled into his drink as he took a large gulp of it. Zandra had a funny way of trying to motivate him, even though she should have been way more depressed about not having a fully functional hand than he was. Maybe she just wasn't the hopeless type? From being around her a few days, he'd guessed that there was something bothering her more than the loss of her hand, but how that made her feel okay about cheering up the Chiss, he didn't know.
"Heh. You're alright, Zandra. Maybe I'll go check for parts 'fore we leave Ord Mantell... Which reminds me..."
He sighed and took another bit of liquor before he felt okay talking again.
"Your Zax isn't getting back off the ground again, is she?"
[member="Zandra Tal'verda"]

She tossed the cigarette butt into a nearby ash tray with a weak smile. It wasn't that she was trying to cheer this guy up. It all complete honesty, she was really looking to cheer herself up as well. Cal would want her to smile. Cal would want her to keep going. Cal wouldn't want her to give up and go into hiding. Hell, Zandra wouldn't want to give up and go into hiding either. Not while she was so close to Galactic fame.

She swirled the shining blue liquid in her glass for a moment. Calico used to drink this. She smiled sadly. Now she drank it, not only because it made her remember him, but because it got her drunk quicker than cheap liquor.

"Zax? Unlikely," she answered sadly, "I think 'he might be done for."

Just saying it hurt her soul. The ship she used to live in with Cal and friends. Those were good days. Before they settled with Calico's family on Mandalore. Before...

[member="Doctor Azure"]

Lorane looked down into his drink again, wondering just how long Zandra had had that ship. He'd only been on for the ride here, but he could pretty clearly tell that it had gone through a lot of stress in a very short time. And the hyperdrive was leaking. The old bird was not getting off the ground, as far as he could tell.
"Maybe it's for the best. I don't think what's left of your crew could've kept together. Or fixed the hyperdrive, honestly."
He shrugged as he drank some more of his Blaster. The people on her ship had been patched up a bit, thanks to him, but they seemed to be wearing on each other. Either way, he thought it looked like that would end in a shoot-out before all was said and done.
"Besides, this is Ord Mantell. You could steal any ship you like, and nobody would give a damn. They'd just keep their little war up like good soldier boys."
[member="Zandra Tal'verda"]

The Pirate Captain drained her glass, adoring the sensation as the stinging liquid slid down her throat. It hurt so good.

"Aye, probably for the best," she agreed, "But I've had that ship since I was eleven. Zax's... been there for me when I needed him most. But maybe it's time ta let 'im go. Or at least store 'im 'til I can afford ta get 'em fixed. Zax ain't just a ship, ya know? Zax's like... family."

She was getting sentimental. Good. Her ship was worth showing a little weakness. Everyone on her crew had known what her ship meant to her. They all respected it, or else they knew they'd feel the wrath of Captain Z. But most of her crew was dead. The rest were injured, finished. How did a few smugglers get the better of her? She was a fething Fenni! She was married to the famous Tal'verda cheiftan! She was the bloody Pirate Queen! How did she fall so far, so fast?

"Gimmy another," she called to the bar tender, shaking her empty glass.

[member="Doctor Azure"]

"Only family I've got is my guns. Built the first one when I was eight. Broke it in a fight when I was nineteen. I can sympathize a little bit, I guess. You had your best friend since you were a kid, and he died on 'ya."
Lorane dropped his head on the table, hoping that the cold surface would alleviate a bit of the headache that'd suddenly cropped up in the last few minutes he'd been sitting here. He lifted his glass to his mouth and drank the rest of the liquor before putting his hands on his arms and looking up at Zandra with a tiny smile on his face.
"Beautiful ship, even with all the holes. Was all that damage from the same day you came to Chroma?"

" Price for the last time, I do not and I will not drink that crap!" Prince hissed at his twin sitting next to him. " It has to be the worst smelling stuff ever, Why in pray tell do you like that?" He asked looking around the room while messing with his glasses
Price
"You should talk mister Spiced milk and wine" Price said glaring at his brother, The two looked every bit like the other except for how they dressed. Where Price liked leather and and his hair spiked, Prince liked dark clothing and his hair long.
Prince and Price where as you would say the opposite of one another, but neither of them would go anywhere without the other. They always needed to other for something. Prince was smart and though quiet he was always the one of the two to come up with the ideas, and most of the time escape planes. Price carried the ideas out and sometimes he even would have his own ideas which would most of the time land the two in big trouble. But Prince would find a way to talk them out of whatever trouble the two where in

"Well this is shaping up nicely. Five to the crew including me. [member="Detorin"] here seems to want to handle the fighting and be a gun fer the crew. The rest of ye need to speak up and tell what her good fer," Rathe said with the others as they joined. His eyes settling on the redhead as she plopped down in the open chair next to him. She was drawing attention to herself the way she was sitting. "I need to know what I'm still lookin fer. Then we can start discussin what we need to do first."

Thorn poured some rum for the rest of those gathered. The girl needed to get used to the stuff if she was coming. Her innocence wasn't going to be something she held onto long, and the sooner it was gone the better. There would be no special treatment for her. The other he seemed to keep his distance. Thorn didn't like the mysterious type, but that's what he would get with this one likely.

Eyes wandered off to a interesting Sabacc game. Well it was over, and the Echani was still talking to the Chiss. He wondered if should take her bet or not. He'd heard the announcement after all. Once he knew what he had with this group at the table he'd decide. He needed a few more to round out the crew, but what would the do depended on who he already had.

The bar scene was one a lot of people were familiar with. The occasional gamble, the meetings, the crew build-ups. Unfortunately for this young woman, with nervous eyes flickering left and right to a game of cards losing in her hands, she had never been in a crew, not much of a gang either. Slowly chewing on the bottom of her pink pale lips, she laid down a set of cards, looking up. The last move. The most dangerous move anyone could wish for. A small pile of credits laid in the middle of the table, along with a card made entirely of a pile of silver credits, making it a collectors item for someone of this type of game.

With a hesitating smile, the young man before her sat down a small lay of cards. She... won? Roxy blinked a few times, then gave a loud hearty laugh, pointing to the man who seemed so threatening just minutes before. "What was that?! A bunch ah poop I call it! You owe me a drink now!" With a cheerful expression, she scooped up the credits into a small pouch connected to her belt, closing it tightly by the string inside it. The disappointed man slowly got up from the table and went to order the cheapest thing he could muster, coming back only moments later.

Roxy smirked to the man, stealing the large glass with one hand while he sat down again, giving the robotic his old cards, along with Roxy's gathered. He glared lightly, soon speaking up. "So you won one card match. Do another, come on." She smirked, rolling her eyes a little. What did he have to offer? "There's no point right now, especially with you out of credits." The man hesitated, slowly regaining a sly expression. "I'll give you information... as long as you offer 100 credits for the game." Well, she did earn just about twice that just now. She threw a single 50 credit into the middle of the table, playing a new round...

She had it before the game even began. With a fresh deal of cards, she laid down exactly what the younger man despised, and gathered her credits back up with another laugh, almost going to get up in his face to make fun again. Instead, she smirked and quirked a thin blonde eyebrow. "There's a faction opening... that man there." As soon as he pointed to the man seeming to be in an interaction, she tilted her chair back, looking at him from the distance. She was about to make her name.

[member=Thorn]

Enough sitting around! Roxy smirked widely, slowly getting up from her seat with a tiny groaning sound. She straitened her back lightly, then slowly made her way to the small gathering, making herself known with a quiet and kind of shy voice, not at all like she was just using right back at the card game.

"I'm joining your clan. Thanks for the drink."

Not another word, she took one of the cups of liquids, pouring a sip down her throat with a tiny sly grin. She felt like she was a part of this already!

Lorane felt himself look up, and then groaned when he saw who the familiar voice belonged to. His mouth moved, but no words could come out that were enough to describe his exasperation. He just defaulted to hitting his head on the sabbacc table.
"Hi, Roxy. I am not drunk enough for you right now."
The Chiss looked at Zandra, and gestured towards the pink girl.
"Zandra, meet the on-and-off bane of my existence. Pink-haired bane of my existence, meet Zandra. Former pirate queen, et cetera."
He looked at two men standing nearby who looked like twins.
"And who are you?"
