You're Hoth, and It's Cold (Rima)

Celty Ikon

Hammer-loving Scarf Pirate
((War of them awkwardly teasing each other?))
Celty chuckled as Rima asked him if he was cold.
"Yeah, 'course I am. But I got to win the argument and tease you a little bit."
He picked up his shirt and slipped it over one arm, gesturing towards the other one.
"Uh... I know this goes against the desire to run your hands over my abs, but could you help me a little? My arm's freezing up."

Rima rolled her eyes. She wrestled the shirt over his head and then proceeded to pull it over his arm, making sure to pull it over his torso as well.
"There. Now, if you want to stay warm, put on your coat and stop stripping just to win arguments."

Celty pulled his shirt down over his stomach and went back to holding onto Rima.
"Mhm... You just don't want me to win arguments with you."
He squeezed her hand and looked into her eyes for a few seconds.
"Y'know, your eyes are almost the same color as mine.. Isn't that weird?"

"Eh, whatever. Your eyes are greenish from all the grey, and I like it."
Celty smiled when Rima poked his nose, and he poked her cheek.
"You really enjoy poking at me, don't you?"

Celty put his hand on top of the one Rima was poking him with.
"That's almost word-for-word what my mantra about teasing you is."

Celty poked Rima's nose again, gently pulling out of the hug and leading her towards the rest of the half-frozen city.
"You know how hot you look when you smile? I've got to start watching out that my hair doesn't suddenly become fire red..."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

"Okay, you need to start coming up with some better puns right now, sir."
Rima flicked the side of Celty's head as they started walking, holding hands and joking around like normal. The city was.. scary? Well, kind of. It looked like there should've been people walking its frosted streets. But it was just... empty. So empty that their footsteps echoed as they explored.

Celty squeezed Rima's hand as they walked, looking around at all the abandoned buildings. Any sadness he felt about the emptiness was overridden by the sheer coolness of being in a big old underground city. He smiled at her as he saw one particularly obvious building: A trophy display of some kind.
"Maybe that'll tell us something. I'd love to know who built this place."

Rima and Celty walked inside the small building. It looked kind of like a museum of some sort. There were exhibits lining all of the walls as well as waht looked like ancient consoles where one could watch holo-vids.
"This place.... It feels like it shouldn't be empty...."

Celty held Rima as he looked around the room. She was right. Evidence of dead bodies would have stayed for a long time. If not the corpses themselves, at least frozen blood or entrails. Suddenly, a transparent form of a person flashed through the redhead's peripheral vision. His arms wrapped around the pony-tailed gunslinger and he felt himself shaking.
"R-Rima... There's something else in here... I saw it."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Rima gave Celty a sidelong glance, smirking a little.
"Ha ha, very funny. That's not quite what I meant. I mean that it feels like people just up and left. Like they were just here, and then-"
She stopped talking when she heard a very faint tapping noise. It sounded like it was coming from one of the glass displays. Were there rats or something in here?

Celty felt himself crying into Rima's shoulder. He could barely even tell why.
"No... There are ghosts here."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Was Celty whimpering? Rima slowly walked over to where the tapping was with him clinging to her arm like a five-year-old. He must really not like the idea of ghosts.
It was a display with a training ball the Force Sensitive kids train with. She couldn't see anything that was making the tapping noise, though. The plaque inside referenced to a Jedi Temple that must have been in the city at one time. The second Rima read this, the tapping ceased.
"It says there's a Jedi Temple around here somewhere."
After a few minutes, the strangeness intensified. The ball suddenly flew from its stand, shattering the glass and smacking her in the face. She fell flat on her back.
"FETH!"

Celty caught Rima as she fell, dragging himself down with her.
"Ghosts. Fething. Everywhere."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

Rima pushed herself into a sitting position so that she wasn't on Celty.
"M-maybe it was just a Force thing, right? I mean, you can do that stuff, so maybe it was acting kind of like a magnet to you or something..."
It was a shoddy explanation at best. She still wasn't quite sure what just happened. She reached up to touch the bump that was now forming on her cheek, flinching a little.
"Ow..."

Celty shook his head, calming down a little now that he couldn't actually see the ghosts.
"No. Ghosts are a thing. One of 'em drove my dad so crazy he nearly killed himself."
He hugged Rima, grabbing a small piece of ice to put on the bump.
"I'm sorry I broke down like that, though."
[member="Rima Filenko"]

"It's okay... I didn't know that..."
Rima flinched more and grunted a little when Celty put the piece of ice on her face. She didn't want to think about something that she couldn't explain. I mean, her theory was plausible, right? Right? She stood up, dusting herself off and helping Celty to his feet.
"Maybe we should check out the temple instead."
