You've got a Friend in me.

Gherron laughed a little, looking at the two. "Well I never would've guessed. You two are great together, i'm sure. No pirates, huh?" He scratched the back of his head softly. "Well that's good. Nobody ever liked them anyways. It is great to see both of you again though, never thought it'd be at the same time. Say, how about another duel, Alex?" He looked at Vulpesen. "That is, if you don't mind?"

He doesn't care she smiled and winked at vulpesen. "I promise not to die fox brain so don't worry." With that her head turned back to find Vael standing there. "Do you need a practice Saber or does your Saber have the ability to lower it's power outpit?" With those words she backed up and activated her sabers, setting them on their training setting.

He narrowed his eyes a bit at the pair but nodded and allowed them to proceed. "Very well. Just make sure you don't lose anything either. I'm sure the kids won't particularly enjoy having their mother come back to them with only a single arm." His hands slipped into the sleeves of his robes and he started to relax.

Gherron chuckled at the two and nodded at Alex's question. Taking his saber from his belt, he switched it to it's non-lethal mode and followed her. "Don't worry man, I wouldn't hurt her. We've done this before at another of the order's temples." Watching the other carefully, he ignited his weapon and readied himself in a comfortable Soresu stance. "Your move."

"Ladies first huh? Such a gentleman." She grinned and took to the offensive, holding both her sabers out to her side and moving into to strike distance. He first strikes would be simple ones, left hand held in defense while the right hand swung out at Gherron's legs from the left side, looking to trip him quickly with the quick move and get him on his back. Of course, holding the second blade in reserve meant she could defend herselt as needed, ready to use it as a shield, or spear.

Vulpesen continued to watch the two, moving his hand to idly pet Ace who stayed perched on his shoulder. He had sparred with Alexandra so many times before, now it would be interesting to see how she held up against others. Especially someone he had once charged into battle with. Sure that had been years ago, but he still remembered some aspects of Gherron's abilities.

As quickly as Alexandra had swiped at him, his blade was there, skidding along the other just enough to send it back at her, followed by a counter to the arm she had attacked with. "I hope you don't go easy on me", he said, grinning. He'd waited for a challenging opponent for a while, and he remembered how good Alex was. Hopefully, she'd be even more skilled, just as he was.

"You know i could never disappoint someone who wanted to fight, just don't get too hurt." Her body moved back a few steps before she grinned and began to generate the force behind her as she stepped in to strike again, not using the build up of energy as of yet. Her free saber going to intercept the blade as it came into a counter and redirecting it before she aimed out to stab him with her left saber this time, right one staying on Gherron's to try and restrict any form of counter again.

Watched each action, drinking in every move. He prayed he'd never need to fight Alexandra for real, but Gherron as much as he trusted the jedi was still on the opposite side of the battle lines. Considering he wouldn't want to kill his old ally, it would be best to study and search for a way to give a non-fatal put down should the day ever come.

As Gherron deflected yet another attack, he felt the power buildup in Alex's free hand, and made a mental note to watch out for it. As the two sparred, he caught glimpses of the Sith watching him, soaking in every move. 'He's studying me'. Of course, he'd expect nothing less. As much as he wanted to like the man, he was a Sith now. They often proved themselves not able to be trusted. There were exceptions, but still... Shaking his thoughts away, he brought his head back to the battle, switching to Shii-cho just long enough to get a few hits in, then shrinking back into his defensive stance.

Alexandra saw the shift of his gaze and took the moment, attempting to hit him with a concentrated for push aimed right into Gherron's gut as he was not looking and before he could strike back at her. If this worked she would then reach out and attempt to tear his saber from his hand while the other would attempt to grab him and push him again, into a crystal this time as she stood there. It was all banking on the fact of his quick loss in focus on the duel, her having but Vulpesen out of mind at this point.

He let out a small laugh as he saw Alexandra attack through Gherron's distraction. It was one of the important things he had learned while in his years of combat. If you were fighting someone who held a title far larger than yours, it was always a good idea to give them your full attention. Carelessness in such situations often led to injury, or worse.

Gherron looked shocked as his weapon flew out of his hand. Turning his attention back to Alexandra, he brought both his arms in an X and dispelled the brunt of the push, sliding back a few inches. Gathering his senses back, he reached out, letting the saber fly back to his hand as he channeled a wave of force in the other. By the time he was armed again, the blast had left his fingertips, headed straight for his opponent.

She watched him with a grin as he recovered and sent the blast at her, eyes flaring up herself as she jumped up just enough to ride the force push rather than fight it. Slowly depleting its power as she flew over the ground and smiling as she planted her feet down and let her sabers fall and clip to her belt. He was fun to duel with and now it was time to show him how much more advanced she had become in the time. Thanks to the significant distance between them now Alex slowly closed her hands as branches and stones the sizes ranging from a football to a baseball came to circle and move around her as she grinned, stopping a baseball sized stone infront of her. "Hey Gherron, Dodge." She smiled and shot the stone like a bullet at him, something she had picked up from the fox brained fool standing there, smiling as he knew she would be called out for copying him.

Vulpesen grinned widely a he watched Alexandra riding the waves of the force push the countering with a familiar strike. "Glad to see my influence isn't negligible." He watched the stones hurl themselves at the jedi, catching a flashback of their battle with the sith. His daggers had flown in a similar fashion, only at that time, they were meant to defend the life of Gherron and himself.

Gherron realized with a shock what she was doing, and found himself a few new bruises before crouching into a heavily guarded stance, guiding the remaining stones around him with the force. Seeing this did remind him of that battle with the two Sith. This must be how he saw it when Vulpesen had used the same trick. It never ceased to amaze him. However, that's why he'd focused on defense. when Gherron was sure he'd found an opening, he reached out and sliced a rather large stone in half with his lightsaber, and sent both pieces back to their owner. In his current stance, he could last all day and not get tired.

She say him send the pieces back at her and her own hand waved forward to send them around her with a smile. "You aren't going easy on my Gherron, right?" She smiled and turned her hands around, gripping onto a larger boulder and smiling now as she lobbed it over her head at him and then charging full speed at him, whether he dodged or not the boulder would act as a long enough description for her to get in close and then to try and slam her hand into Gherron's gut.

Lowering the barrier he had created around himself, Gherron stopped to make a witty remark before he realized how bad that would be for his health. Eyeing the boulder, he waited until the last second to charge at Alex and slide under her. In doing so, he winced hard as her fist connected with his jaw on the way down. When he finished his slide, he realized it was all for the better, as it must have been aimed at his stomach. Nodding quickly to himself, he twirled his lightsaber and charged her backside, hoping to get a clean strike down her middle.

She watched as the man slid, that was not something she had accounted for and it left her off guard for the strike that hit her in the shoulder as she turned. Sure the blade was on a low setting but it still hurt, and that was something that she was not going to let happen again. Grabbing a metal rod from the back of her belt she let it extend into a full length echani warstaff, taking the moment to back up and look at him with a very cautious stare. "Hmm..."

Gherron allowed himself a small smile for scoring a hit, but quickly returned to a face of seriousness when Alex turned back around. Watching her pull out the strange collapsible spear, he cocked his head. "Remind me to grab one of those on the way out." Running at her, he switched to a varied form of vapaad and sent a quick flurry of strikes her way, aiming to see just how quick she was with her shiny new weapon. He could learn learn a thing or two. After all, he'd never used anything but swords in combat. Not even a blaster. He really could use some branching out.
