Porro was very good at noticing a blush on a woman’s cheeks, at least a woman of a species that such reaction displayed itself as with a human. The slight stammer in Vaux’ response gave him even more confidence that he was heading in the right direction. He did find it hard to believe that a girl like Vaux was not used to constant flirting, but if she was military perhaps that was just the way her unit worked. He gave a nod when Vaux was able to explain that she had been busy. Even though he did his best to keep a carefree life and veer clear of “work” from time to time. There were times when even Porro was too busy to allow himself a time on the town, so to speak.
The response about dancing also seemed to be received quite well. It was a good thing that Porro didn’t embellish his talents. He had done that several times and got caught up in the lie. ”No fear of me passing up a chance to move next to you, maybe get a chance to hold you if the music is right.”
Porro was also glad to see that Vaux’ interest didn’t wane as flirtations turned to more serious talk. He could tell that she noted what his wink meant, and was encouraged that it did not change her view of things. Porro was unfamiliar with the specifics of the fighters that Vaux mentioned, but he knew they were Mandalorian models. That told him the Vaux had seen battle, not just a pilot on some peaceful rock doing exercises with a crew of green comrades. ”Both like to restore ships huh? Well I’d certainly help you out if I could. If you're interested maybe I can show you the Smooth Gambit sometime. She’s not pretty yet…but give me some time. I’ve been wondering what I should do with the exterior of the ship. In my line of work it’s not always wise to do something to call too much attention to it. But on the other hand, I like to stand out.” At the offer to act as his escort Porro wasn’t able to fight off a bit of a blush himself. ”If I find myself needing a bit of protection on a job you’ll be the first call I make.”
