"Ah... sounds like you're well taken care of so you focus your skills where others can be alleviated. That's a very kind of you. " Tempo chirped moving to pluck up their card token to levitate it across to a near by machine. He used the force to gently and carefully engage the machine and watched as the pictured spun. To Tempo 's surprise there was a cash out prize; " Ah... well how about that... " Tempo chirpe dand a soft smile was passed looking at Jalen. " Looks like my Luck's finally changing~"

She shook her head, "no, this is fine. A club is nice and all but it demands a certain look and attitude and I haven't prepped myself for it." Lily wasn't mentally prepared for everything that could overwhelm her at the club. She prepared for something calmer, something mentally less taxing with lights, music and people. This stargazing had been the hang out that she had prepared for. Looking out at the galaxy, it was a wonderful view and Lily just enjoyed the streaks of green from the comets as they soared across the viewing dome. "Anyway, I didn't do much research on the clubs so who knows, they could play some really boring music or basic music that isn't as fun to dance to." Lily giggled deeply.

"Could be copper. It certainly a pleasant colour." Lily mentioned as she listened to what Ko had to say about what the colour represented, Lily chuckled and shrugged, "sounds positive. Not really my preferred colour, cyan is much more my speed." Lily smirked as she thought about how much cyan was in her life and how there was a new dress she was hoping to order. Something cyan in colour and stylish but very niche in where she felt it was appropriate to don the dress.

Lily chuckled at the comment on a rematch, "probably for the best. I doubt you would want to wake up bruised, sore and defeated." Lily nudged him teasingly, holding an air of confidence in her abilities still. She tilted her head, and gave a soft chuckle, "I appreciate you wishing to learn more, but few people I have met outside of Eshan, have the ability to communicate like we do. So, don't feel you have to learn it. Just learning to fight and being expressive in your fighting with sparring partners, that goes a long way."

Ko listened to Lily’s explanation and nodded along to what she had to say. “I hadn’t thought about it like that, and you make an excellent point. It’s not really what either of us were prepared for, and you’re right, who knows what kind of music they’re playing tonight.” The Kel Dor laughed back some.

“Cyan? Your lightsaber is cyan hued correct?” Ko asked, trying to visually recall from before he lost his sight. “Also wasn’t that like the dress you wore back on Echan, during the summer solstice as well as those aquamarine eyes of yours?” The Kel Dor added, have made a habit of referring to others eyes like they were gemstones. Holding them in high regard now that he lost his own. In hindsight, it really did seem like cyan was her color.

He chuckled back at her response to a rematch. “Well it wouldn’t be the first time coming from you. When we sparred before, my poor knee was sore for a week.” Ko replied, nudging her back gently. There was also the armbar he subjected him to as well. “And that’s fair, I know I probably wouldn’t be able to match someone who knows it like their native tongue. Also if my memory serves me right, I think I suggested sparring somewhere a little more interesting than a dojo. Somewhere for us to be less cautious with our environment and show off a bit more.”

After speaking Ko brought his gaze up back to the starview. Visualizing what Lily had described to him already and wondering if she could provide a clearer picture still. “You said earlier that you could see a planet we were passing right? Could you describe it for me? Does it have an atmosphere with clouds, perhaps oceans as well? Or is it a gas giant, maybe one with rings?” Ko asked, throwing out a few questions. Although blind, he hoped that his questions could help guide her along to detailing more of what there was to see. Still not wanting Lily to feel discouraged about describing things to him by showing her a bit more faith in her abilities.

Vaux smiled at they danced. Yes she had put that she wanted something casual, but that didn’t mean they couldn’t have a little fun too. It was then that Porto was pushed, and she thankfully was able to keep her footing. She looked at him, blushing a little as he mentioned thanking whoever pushed him, a surprised chuckle coming from her as he pulled her in a bit.

Trouble stepping back, hm? Vaux smirked and seemed to mimic his actions. “I mean I don’t mind.” She remarked as she moved along with Porro in the dance.

Fomys, being a trained investigator, had no issue noticing Vulpesen’s change in expression. Though she didn’t see any reason to question such a thing. Rebellions caused many different reactions, but Fomys rarely found one that was stoic that didn’t make her cringe. The fact that Vulpesen returned to a normal façade rather quickly told Fomys he was a veteran of some sort of intrigue. That made her interested in the man grow.

Fomys smiled when Vulpesen validated her brother’s opinion. Though she had seen enough to know that magic of the bright and dark forms were plentiful on New Alderaan. They certainly existed elsewhere in the galaxy. ”I think you are speaking about the Force…” Fomys said with a smile. ”I’m pretty sure Ramys had something simpler in mind…Though I’m even more intrigued now. You serve it? The Force…” she gave him a quick look and smiled. ”Not a Jedi though I don’t think…”

His reaction to the mention of love was not exactly what she expected. Most guys would either have run away or viewed Fomys like a piece of meat. She’d given them the way to manipulate her, and they didn’t know she was too smart to believe it when they lied they wanted the same thing. Vulpesen looked as though he was sincerely interested in love. ”So you’ve been in love before? Or just pursued it? It’s been an evasive chase for me so far in life, but I’ll not give up. And I still would like to think that I am young.”

"Among other things, yes. I've known for the force for longer than I can remember. And you're right about my status as a jedi. I left their order a long time ago, but I've carried many of their lessons. Now I even find myself returning to their temples to perhaps help teach their newest generations." With a wry smile, he opened a hand next to his face before simply floating his drink up and into his grasp for another sip.

"And I think for one to be around as long as I have and not find love would be a true tragedy,"
he cleared his throat as he realized the direction of their conversation. The truth was, he was starting to like this woman. She was intelligent, experienced, and had, as far as he could tell, a strong moral compass. It seemed the largest issue was that she was human. Not a failing in of itself, but it did raise some complications. Complications that would require honesty if they were to share more than this moment. "I'm a Zorren. We tend to live a long time, you see. I like to think of myself as young as well, especially considering some of my best friends have lived centuries or even millenia. Truth is, the order I left was crushed by the sith about fifty years ago. Not that I mourn the loss. They'd lost their way." Where Vulpesen had earlier taken a sip of his drink, he now brought up his glass to drain its contents entirely. He loved what he was and had largely seen his unexpected trialing as a boon. Still, it did lead to some difficulties and oddities the longer he lived.

"Yeah, blue tends to lend itself well to be my preferred colour." Lily mentioned as she smirked to herself, "but my eyes are steel. Not an aquamarine." Lily pointed out, she was proud of her full Echani heritage, and that came with the white hair and steel eyes. She wasn't upset or disappointed that Ko hadn't remembered, it felt odd to be looking at a person's eyes. Sometimes it felt painful to do so, as if doing so was her being attacked by them. So, she rarely knew what other people's eye colours were.

She tutted about him complaining about a sore knee, "perhaps you need some tougher training if you are gunna be fighting more often." Lily commented, "can't risk you losing anything else out there." She sighed, there was genuine concern, perhaps if she had sparred harder or pushed Ko further then he would still be able to see this starry view. It was silly to think that way, she knew it but the thoughts lingered in her mind even if she did know it. "We did mention that. I wanted to see you giving your best."

It was going to be even harder when they had their own Padawans to train.

"It was a gas giant. Had a ring of moons orbiting it, it was orange with some cream and slight blue/purple tones to it." Lily mentioned while she thought back to the planet they had seen. "Was a smaller gas giant though. Don't think it was anything impressive." She shrugged, answering his questions happily since it was to help him enjoy where they were even more.

In the current light it was hard for Porro to tell for certain that Vaux had blushed as he was moved closer and expressed that he was reluctant to take a step back. That was good, as his cheeks were flushed a little as well, something that did not happen to him often, so he hoped that it was equally difficult for her to see the color on his face.

The smile on her face and stating that she did not mind the change gave Porro even more confidence in the situation. As the current song started to wane, Porro leaned in a little closer and attempted to give Vaux a kiss. If she did not pull back it would be a tame gentle first kiss shared at the beginning of a potential romance. Not something that would be shared between kin, but also not something filled with lust associated with a singular and short term goal. The next song started and was a slower one. Assuming that the kiss had gone well, Porro wrapped his arms around Vaux’ waist and held her close as they would slowly sway to the new tempo.

Fomys smirked as her suspicions about Vulpesen and the Force were confirmed. She was neither impressed nor put off by another being’s ability to “access” the Force in a way that she was incapable. She found the possibilities fascinating, but there wasn’t anything she could do to turn on the abilities where they currently didn’t exist. Vlupesen’s potential abilities would not change how Fomys perceived him. Her head gave a curious tilt to the side when Vulpesen mentioned leaving the Order a “long time ago”. She gave a bit of a shy giggle as he revealed himself to be a Zorren. The species was unfamiliar to Fomys, but evidently one of the characteristics of the Zorren was a long lifespan.

The fact that Vulpesen was older than he appeared to be and that he was not human were immaterial to Fomys. She still liked what she had come to know of him in a short time. The fact that he had “known” love was also of little concern. ”Your people live that long?” Fomys questioned. For the first time she was a little nervous that the people making matches might have missed something. ”Do you have any concerns with the possibility of…matching…with a human? It must be hard to know that you will have to watch some of the people closest to you cease to be…”

Was she being too deep, too soon? It wasn’t like the Zinder profile and blind date event were intended to rush the potential couples off to the marriage altar. She took a nervous sip from her drink and kept it close to her lips in case Vulpesen expressed that being with a human would be too difficult. She liked him. What this could become was completely up in the air. But she already knew that she didn’t want to be a source of pain to him. ”The galaxy seems to change quickly. My planet was serene and peaceful not long ago. Hardly needed a police force much less an army. Now we’re under the thumb of a crazy man and his clone army…”

She frowned and shook her head. ”Listen to me though…talk of death and rebellion. What kind of first date am I being? What do you do for fun, Vulpesen?”

Vulpesen watched her carefully as she reacted to his words. Of all the topics that had covered so far, this would easily be the most delicate, and would likely remain so for the rest of their evening. With that in mind, he was pleased at what he saw. There was of course, the expected worry regarding his longevity. But that hadn't deterred her so much as what it might mean to him. "I've heard tales of my people living five-thousand years. But most of us don't come close. We die on some distant battlefield, or in the arms of someone we love, giving our life to protect them. We Zorrens have an instinct you see. It calls us to protect others. I'm fast and clever and powerful." He said the last word with a gleam in his eye, like a crackle of lightning in an oncoming storm. "But some day I might slip. I'll find someone quicker. Someone more clever. Maybe even someone older and more powerful than myself. There are still a few of those running around. And beyond the physical threats to my life, I'll be honest, I think I'm only now coming to realize just how long I might have left, near the end of my first century." He looked down as he spoke, though his face wasn't so much sad as it was contemplative, with even a small smile touching his lips. "I try to live in the moment. Enjoy pleasures as they come. Handle tribulations as they arise. I lived the life of a soldier. Even when I thought I was human, I had made my peace with the fact that my loved ones could be gone in a moment. That was all the more reason to cherish them while they were around."

Whatever she thought of his words, he liked her and he raised his head to look up at Fomys, ignoring the stars and planets arrayed before them. She had shown an intelligence that accompanied her beauty and that was enough for him to take notice of a person, even if his lifespan dwarfed their own. "You're right. The Galaxy does change. My people were once hunted to near extinction. I helped bring them back. I've seen the fall of the Republic and several empires of sith. I've found that time moves like a wheel. Your people may face hardship now, but freedom will come in time. Though, I admit that it would be nice to help speed that along." His smile turned to a wry grin. "In all honesty, that is what I do for fun. Find bad people and throw them into a hole. Whether they be slavers, siths, or tyrants. Though in the absence of any crisis, I find myself taking hunting trips with some of my former guards and family or taking walks in the Jedi temple to strengthen the relationships between our orders. What about you?"

Ko suddenly felt a surge of embarrassment from getting her eye color wrong. Seriously hoping that he wasn’t misremembering and accidentally getting her confused for another Echani again. Steel would be much closer to how his own eyes looked too, at least how his eyes used to look when he still had them. Not that any of his peers would really know about his own grey eyes.

He then turned his attention back to Lily as she suggested that he’d need to train harder. “Tougher Training? Well you should’ve seen me back on Dorin earlier. My uncle really put me through some grueling stuff. Although it wasn’t very combative.” Despite the fact there wasn’t much sparring involved it didn’t really mean it wasn’t very important for him as a Kel Dor who regularly found himself away from his homeworld. A sore knee was one thing, losing his antiox mask was life threatening. “But I don’t really disagree, it’s easy to imagine things being different if I’d just been more capable.” Ko’s distant and absent gaze shifted back towards Lily, at least in her general direction. “If I recall, it was a mutual thing. To see us both push each other and strive to be the best we can.”

Once more Ko turned “gaze” back towards the view. Lily’s helped to paint a clearer and more detailed picture of what was out there. A gas giant with warm colors accented by deeper blues and purples. He thought that the ring of moons was an interesting detail as well. Picturing them as small planetoids big enough to be round and not lumpy like normal asteroids. “You said it’s small right? It’s probably pretty cold then on its “surface”. With some strong storms the closer we get to the core.” Ko said, once again using his own more academic knowledge to suggest more context. Similarly to how she was explaining things to him that he couldn’t see. He was kind of trying to do the same thing, just in a much more nerdy way.

Five thousand years was quite the shock, but for Fomys the difference between two hundred and one thousand and five thousand wasn’t worth thinking about. They all meant that if they lived out natural lives not interrupted by outside forces, Vulpesen would drastically outlive her. Of course she need only deal with the guilt of knowing if they ended up together, she would in all likelihood leave him during his lifetime by no fault of their own. Vulpesen was the one who would have to deal with much more than her.

The fact that Vulpesen seemed to be resigned to the fact that he would not live a full natural life wasn’t exactly comforting. However, when he declared himself quick, clever and powerful a smirk formed on Fomys’ lips. She didn’t doubt his words. The fact that he didn’t seem deterred by their difference in lifespan, did give Fomys comfort. Fomys also tried to be more of an in the moment girl. She had an eye to the future in some senses. She was a romantic, so she wanted to find a partner to share her life with. And she thought, maybe at some point, that a family would be in her future. ”I can see how we were matched together despite some differences then. I also prefer to focus on what is in my proximity versus what is way off in the distance. An police investigator’s life isn’t nearly as dangerous as it seems you might have lived, but there are no guarantees of safety. I hate the idea of missing out on something because of how it might affect my future.”

Fomys felt Vulpesen’s eyes upon her. She didn’t have the Force to lean on, but she was trained to be aware of her surroundings, even when her focus should have been the beauty of space. She looked over to her date and gave a soft smile. He gave a brief, bleak history of his people, and of their recovery from the brink. She batted her eyes in wonder as he expressed the changes that he had seen happen. And his guess that her people would someday find peace again. ”The Empire grows quickly,” Fomys responded to this with a bit of a sigh. ”We aren’t on the border really anymore. Some of those who don’t wish to live under the oppressive thumb talk of leaving…Honestly, I’m not sure that wouldn’t be the best thing. There are possible places.”

Vulpesen’s idea of fun made Fomys giggle in slight nervousness. She knew he was serious, which made her swoon not a little. Someone who took such things into his own hands was her version of that knight in shining armor fantasy. Of course in Fomys’ fantasy she would be next to and aiding the knight, not waiting patiently to be saved herself. She could see being by Vulpesen’s side and making a play to wrestle control of New Alderaan from the Empire. It wouldn’t happen tomorrow to be sure, but she could certainly see it as a possibility.

The rest of Vulpesen’s pastimes were more of what the galaxy would consider normal. Fomys nodded slowly as she listened. She wondered what hunting looked like to Vulpesen. If things continued as well as they were going now that would be something that they could do together. She pictured Vulpesen hunting with his hand and his wiles, which would be something new and different to Fomys. Walks were also something that Fomys enjoyed. Though she wondered if Vulpesen’s outings were limited to Jedi temples and if she would be welcome. ”I try to stay active. I shockbox a little, I go on hikes in the forests and when I can get away I like to visit the beaches. I keep a small blaster collection as well…”

One of Vulpesen's ears flicked as Fomys mentioned her profession and he found himself resisting the urge to reach into his pocket for a holodisk. Once upon a time, the VSF had been intended as a company for officers such as herself. Of course, since then they had moved on to supplying soldiers and mercenaries. Perhaps it was time to start going back into his older designs. Onto more recent matters however, it was apparent that the two of them both enjoyed professions defined by their danger and he was inclined to agree with its apparent effect on their compatibility. As much as he'd like someone to come home to, he preferred the idea of having someone to work beside.

"Its always a good idea to work on defending yourself, especially as Law Enforcement under an Empire." He reached down to grab his drink, his brows furrowing as he noticed naught inside but melting ice. "Especially if you're not exactly a fan of the regime who's laws you're sworn to uphold." He set down the glass and reached into his pocket, producing a small notepad and pen. Writing a small note, he tapped on one of his breast pockets within his jacket. "You're welcome to come to Veradune some time. The forests are beautiful, though you'll certainly need an escort, one that I'm inclined to provide. As for your blaster collection, I happen to dabble in the business of creating those. Might also take you out to our testing range." As he finished speaking, a small blue canine head would poke out from his pocket.

Ace, the Valde's constant, if somewhat lethargic companion let out a small growl of indignation as Vulpesen simply handed him his earlier written note. When we meet a nice lady wolf for you, I'll be sure to get your a teaspoon of whatever you want.

And how exactly do you expect me to bring this back to you? The glass will weigh more than I do!
A fair protestation considering the spectral blue wolf was merely half a foot tall.

Let me worry about that. Now go on. Introductions can wait for after I explain that I'm not a party magician.

The conversation would go unheard to the ears of Fomys, or any other within the room, a perhaps unfortunate side effect of the exclusivity of an ashlan wolf's bonding. None the less, there would be an understanding between the pair as Ace trotted off, note flapping about in his jaws.

Again Vulpesen’s expression at her comments gave Fomys confidence. Quite a few men in her life were intimidated by her job or her hobbies. Again it seemed like Vulpesen was a good match as he seemed intrigued by what Fomys did. Or at least what Fomys hoped she would still be allowed to do when her “vacation” came to an end. Then again maybe it would be better to be released from her duty…It wasn’t like she was able to protect her people the way she wished.

Fomys gave a proud smile as her choice to train self-defense was lauded by her date. There were many benefits to her chosen hobbies, through shockboxing she did learn how to defend herself, but it also was a good way to keep her figure, not that she was all that vain, and she honestly just had a love for the sport. ”Have to admit that I’ve had a couple brush ups with Imperial ‘superiors’ in a conflict over what should be done from time to time. Don’t worry, I hold my own without doing too much damage to my ‘bosses’.” She gave a chuckle

At the invitation to see Veradune, she assumed his home planet, Fomys blushed. This was moving along quite nicely. Veradune certainly sounded like a spot that Fomys would enjoy, though she gave a bit of a smirk when Vulpesen suggested she would need an escort. So long as he was going to volunteer, Fomys wouldn’t fight it. No matter her desire to prove herself capable of defending herself capably. ”Nature to galavant through, a blaster testing range and handsome escort? Oh I think I would enjoy Veradune very much.”

Fomys reached for her own drink as Vulpesen went for his own. She noticed he put his back down quickly and looked a bit disappointed. She wondered if she had more liquid to start with or if he had been drinking faster than she. As Vulpesen took out a notepad and wrote something on it, and tapped his chest, Fomys tilted her head to the side in curiosity. Her attention on the stars and whatever else was visible above them was completely gone.

When the small canine being revealed itself, Fomys smiled and waited to see what would happen. She wasn’t the type to make a scene over a cute animal, but she was quite curious. The note was passed along to the wolf, but there appeared to be more communication happening beyond that. Then the wolf started off towards the bar. ”If you needed a refill I would have walked with you back to the bar,” Fomys said with a smile. ”Who’s your friend though? You always sneak them into dates?”

It was true that Vaux didn't catch the the blush from Porro, though the lights did make it look slightly like that. She continued to dance along with him though till she noticed him lean in. She wasn't sure what to do at first, but in a split second she'd lean in a little too, not fighting to go for a kiss. She closed her eyes just a bit too. It wasn't something like she'd seen from more than a few more wild squadmates, but it was gentle, nice, and romantic, at least to her. Surprising even given her tending the be the "wild one" between her and her brother. As the song slowed, the pilot would stretch her arms over Porro's shoulders as they slow danced. She looked up at him, smiling.

"This is.... I'm really loving tonight."

Porro wasn’t surprised that Vaux did not pull away from his kiss. There was always that possibility and he would be lying if he said it never happened to him, but the fact of the matter was that gamblers couldn’t allow the negative possibilities to make them scared. And they had to expect to succeed…or at least look that way. So the fact that his first kiss with Vaux was returned was exactly what he thought should happen. Once the kiss was completed and the new song dictated a different sort of dance, Porro was quite pleased to have Vaux’ arms around his neck and her pretty smiling face looking right into his own.

When Vaux voiced how lovely she thought the night was, Porro puffed out his chest a little bit and smiled wide. ”I am hoping tonight is just to be the beginning,” Porro whispered moving closer to Vaux’ ear, his hands moving to the small of her back and pulling her body in closer. ”And the night is not even close to the end. Though, to be honest I don’t think there is anything that the dancefloor can offer to beat this particular dance. So perhaps we can find something else to occupy our time as this wonderful date continues.”

Vulpesen smiled broadly at her apparent openness to join him his own planet, though internally he did find himself crushing a mounting terror at the sudden lack of anonymity that their current circumstances had brought. Here, he was a well dressed man who had apparently led a fantastical life. On Veradune, he was the Valde. His face was known by every inhabitant and there would be no hiding his importance to Zorren race. Of course, he knew he couldn't hide it forever, nor did he wish to hide it for very long. But there was a certain freedom to knowing that Fomys was interested in Vulpesen Torrevaso, the man who could offer a gun and a nice night. Not Vulpesen Torrevaso, the man who could offer a planet.

Thankfully, the subject was changed before even he could ponder the eventuality of his identity, Fomys raising the obvious question as to the spectral blue wolf who was clambering his way onto a barstool to pass Vulpesen's note to the bartender. "Perhaps next time. But I was comfortable, and he needs his exercise. That's Ace. And I sneak him anywhere he's not likely to get shot out of my pocket." Once upon a time, that hadn't been true. Then a sith ahd tried to turn him into a pancake and Vulpesen had learned to leave his companion on the ship when it came to war zones. "Our introduction was a gift from my first master, and Ashlan Wolves bond permanently with another being. Things get less confusing if were in the same place, seeing, more or less, the same things."

"Believe it or not the husband also used to teach me"

Rolling his eyes slightly at the comments he finally looked up to his date and smiled slightly "Don't worry about me, I didn't spend ten lifetimes frozen like grandma over there" he said jokingly, his head briefly nodding soon after "After I had finished my training and short stint with Kahlil, Valery took me under her wing and made me into the person you see today" jokes aside, it was clear that Valery meant a lot to the young knight. Their teases only strengthened their bond.

"One way or another she's like a mother figure to me. I was only young when she took me as her student and always treated me like one of her own" Silas explained with a more caring tone. He never had a bad thing to say about his former master, only jokes about her being old and creaky "Maybe later I can introduce you to her again so you can get to know her. She'll be a great ally to have in such a cold universe"

Looking down to his food he began to scran through it once more. Letting such grand delicacy go cold would be a real shame for his stomach, let alone his appetite which was still hearty.

"How about we back to my place after this? There's a nice wine we can share while we watch the stars go past, a place that is definitely more private than here"

Vaux smiled as Porro pulled her closer, not surprised at this point, and not minding. When he mentioned they might have tapped the fun they could have at the dance floor, and that they could find something else since the night had only just started. The Mandalorian looked up at him, thinking on what else there was on the ship.

"I know there were a few places that looked fun. Plus you still owe me a look at your ship."
