Caedyn Arenais

Post Count: Three.
Pilot/Liaison: Adelle Ciryal.

Arrival on Antar IV
His arrival was expected and by the time that the Repertoire touched down upon the landing pad in the outskirts of the City, there were already a welcome party of officials awaiting to meet the youngest prince of Commenor who was rumored to be a prominent Force User in training. Caedyn disliked this sort of thing, he didn't agree with this sort of attention and was most often too shy around these types of things to try to make the most of the supposed fame. He was a young man, barely having left his boyhood and already he was being serenaded by photo's and the likes of news people hoping to get some sort of loose comment from him in the absence of his parents. Fortunately he wasn't alone however and with a bit of firm force, Adella Ciryal was capable enough to "dissuade" those who came to close to the young man with a rather protective and aggressive tone lacking sympathy for these peoples feelings.

"Don't give 'em the time of day kiddo, keep moving" she told him, making it obvious enough to those around the pair that she didn't much care for them while pushing him on by the back of his shoulder towards their speeder awaiting to ship them off to the destined gathering. Climbing in through the side door, he scooted across the back seat soon to be accompanied by his liaison and soon shutting the door behind her, their driver set the speeder into motion giving them both the chance to inhale deeply and try to relax.

"I forgot what this was all like..." Caedyn frowned some, muttering under his breath as he turned to glance back over his shoulder at the group they had left behind. Life upon Svivren with the Je'daii Order had been far quieter. No sense of fame or fortune and only his peers for whom shared the same interest within the Force. Neither Light nor Dark but the one Unified Force.

"It'll be quieter where we're going, don't fret" Adelle responded gently, soon turning to glance out the window of the speeder thinking to herself in irony that for all things had changed, the boys father was right to employ someone to look after their children in the absence of their parents and now, Caedyn's Master who had her own vessel and had honestly nearly put her out of a job. This sudden action despite Caedyn's nervousness, was the first decent outing she'd had in some time.

Arriving at the scene of the celebrations, she and Caedyn would be welcomed by their hosts assistant workers and introduced to the interior of the building for which they might socialize with the others. Here, above the hustle of guests within the area, Caedyn's first priority was to look for his Mom [member="Lady Kay"] and Sister [member="Loreena Arenais"].

"Gah!!" As [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] picked her up by her collar, she waved her hands in the air and kicked her feet. So embarrassing!! At least it wasn't done in front of EVERYONE. Lori couldn't wait to be taller and heavier so that maybe he couldn't do that anymore. But in a way she treated it like she would have if it was [member="Caedyn Arenais"] doing it by making it a bigger deal than it was. She smirked as Jaster teased her about her messing with his armour to slow him down. Of COURSE she'd do something like that. Just not today. She'd have to thank him later for giving her the idea.

But onto the pilot's seat she was plopped onto. Lori just grinned as she manned the controls and began her pre-flight checks. "You're letting me do a FFCD for real this time?! Oh yes! This'll be great!" She could hardly contain her excitement.

Once the engines were fired up Lori turned on the comms and put on her pilot voice, which was a little deeper to help her sound a bit more mature like she knew what she was doing. "Hanger Bay 6, this is Lori Arenais in Transport 2, requesting permission to depart for Antar IV."

"Transport 2, permission granted. No need to give us your name, kid. Bay doors are opening. Proceed when ready."

"Roger that. I keep forgetting. We'll see you when we get back!" Lori glanced over to Jaster. The man already appeared to be starting his nap. Or was he faking it? She could hardly tell with his armour on. Right now she was focused on getting them on their way. It took seconds for her to clear the hanger once the bay door was open and only a short time after that, stearing them towards the famous moon.

By the time that Caedyn and his escort had gotten past the media to the venue where the celebration was held, Lori was cutting the engine. And just like that, the transport literally fell from the sky. She kept her hands on the controls, watching the altimeter and speedometer for that magic moment. "Wait for it....wait for it.....Now!" She turned on the engine again and hit the throttle, pulling on the joystick to pull the transport out of the steep dive just above the lake next to the venue. A wake was created over the water as she brought the ship parallel to it's surface, no doubt catching the attention of everyone outside. "Yes!!" And like the cocky pilot she was, she buzzed the venue before bringing the transport down to land on a nearby designated pad. The transport shook a bit as it touched down in a not so gently way. Lori didn't care though. She was too excited! "Jaster, I did it! Wake up!" Already she was powering the transport down and unbuckling herself from her seat.

Darben looked at the food he had, he was not sure how he really felt about being read in such a way, through the force. "I don't really know much about the force, how it works and all that" he replied back. He didn't say much on how he preferred to have his feelings and emotions hidden, from basically everyone. Especially people he knows. "Thank you" he then said, with the offer [member="Stardust Raxis"] gave about getting Renla food. He sat down, and sat there somewhat awkwardly, he was not one good with conversation. He continued to sit there before realizing that he was already low on brandy.

"I'll be right back" he said, taking his small glass with him. And with that, he went off to refill his glass. Renla watched as he left before turning to Stardust, tugging on her arm. "Miss Stardust, there's something wrong with Darben...he is always drinking, and crying in his sleep." This perhaps was not stuff she was meant to be talking about, but she was worried. "He thinks I don't notice but I do. I worry about him, Miss Stardust."

[member="Darben Skirae"]

honestly sometimes it wanders...I'll feel emotions without meaning to kinda like when ypur listenong to conversations

She felt bad a bit now for intruding but sometimes it helped her react a bit when she could tell someone's emotions, she nodded her head to his thank you and smiled as she began eating and took a drink of her pop. She made small talk about the state of hi he and simple conversation stuff.

She glanced to darben and nodded as she smiled and looked around a bit before she felt a tugging on her arm and turned to renla. Her smile.turned quickly to a frown, this was not good to hear...she lowered her voice and spoke

don't worry renla, I will help him Ok? I promise I'll do whatever is needed to help your father

She smiled softly and took her hand and nodded

for now keep quiet I'll take care of the rest...thank you for telling me

She looked to darben as she stood and started walking over to him, she came beside him and lowered her voice

after this party we need to talk...alone..Ok?

Renla nodded, putting on a smile for [member="Stardust Raxis"]. She really liked Stardust, like an older friend she had never had. Maybe even an older sister. Mia paid no attention to the conversation, or at least pretended not to. She knew Darben was troubled as well, and while she could do nothing to help, perhaps someone else could. But, if it involved any sort of danger towards him...Well, it was her responsibility as his hired bodyguard to protect him and Renla.

Darben turned his attention to Stardust as soon as he heard her voice, with a grin. Until she spoke, in a low tone. "Uh...okay. Yeah, sure...is this about Renla? Is something wrong with her voice again?" he asked, suddenly worried. Out of nervous tendencies he took a shot from the glass of brandy to calm his nerves.

Jaster was faking his sleep with full sensors active and his visual video turned off so it would look like he was actually sleeping. [member="Loreena Arenais"] seemed like she was entertained be her actions as they entered the planets atmosphere and free fell for a bit, his gravitational data as well as his altitude meter flashed warning signs in the helmet. This didn't bother him as he had done this maneuver many times and read between the lines. She did a rather fantastic job, excluding nearly crashing into the water and the wings and maneuvering thruster was nearly frosted over. Any steeper and the pull of the throttle would have broken the thruster loose and instant death. That didn't happen though, so that was a positive.

The large Mandalorian raised his armored arm above his head and pulled his head back to stretch his gears and muscles. Most people would black out from a maneuver like that, training between the two however helped with that. He stood up and patted the child on the back,"Good job kiddo, helped this old man live another day." He walked to get off the Transport and waved her over, "Well lets not stand there, heard a rumor that your father is also attending, wouldn't want them to miss the story of how you kicked my butt in Combat Training."

Loreen was excelling very well in her training, of course Jaster was taking it easy on her. Most of their training was one on one, she had yet to enter any of her real test to become Mandalorian. This would be one of the last times she would see her family as a child, the next time they would see her was as a Mandalorian Warrior. He had no doubt she would pass all her trials and contracts, he was however worries about her taking her first step as a True Mandalorian, keeping to the Code and staying true to her Honor. However, today was the day for her to share her stories with her family, he was just an friends of that family boned. He was a Teacher and an Old Man with wisdom to share.

Klesta

The King of Ergonomic Assessments
Objective: Peddle ergonomic assessments

"A trenomite leak in the cleaning circuit? That's serious! Now I understand why the last ergonomic assessors were sued: not only they were crooks, but they were incompetent crooks!"

"Here's the bill and the attached report"

"How... expensive"

"I really hope that extending 2/15, n/60 terms would not end up triggering the AFDA alert"

"I know, Tiffany. We kept bad debt expenses at a minimum, and Ziost would rather keep it that way"

I hope they will pay the bill in full at some point; they really need it, he thought, while making the three copies of the report. One to file for the courts, one for the client and one for them. Hopefully the courts will find the report satisfactory, and worth the 75,000-credit bill he charged the manager of the factory. Of course, that was not going to be straightforward to pay, but that's why there were payments on account. And so he hoped that the receivables would actually be paid, and not get the AFDA warning from the headquarters on Ziost. Said AFDA warning was something an ergonomic assessor dreaded: allowances for doubtful accounts were usually kept after 60 days in this industry, even though they usually left the benefit of the doubt in most instances of sales on credit, especially since such professional services weren't usually that big of an expense for those companies that actually hire their services. Much lower than lawyer fees for sure. In his experience, companies tended to prioritize the payment of ergonomic assessments and implementing their recommendations if they were court-ordered to get ergonomic assessments made, so they will usually pay promptly for both items.

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay stepped into the venue, no doubt having [member="Nolan Kitari"] and [member="Macoda Haberon"] at her heels. Her children had been invited, she knew that much, and had hoped to find [member="Caedyn Arenais"] and [member="Loreena Arenais"] together so that she could see them, hug them and catch up with them. But all that had to come a little later. Right now she had to play her part for this celebration, a small formality before she could relax and avoid media questions.

The crowds parted for her as she approached one of the stages. As she got to the steps, the music was already dying down, her arrival having already been anticipated. Kay made her way up the stage, but instead of going to the mic straight away, she went over to the band and spoke with them quietly. Some nods were given by the members, before Kay finally turned around and approached the mic with a small smile on her face. "Good evening. Thank you all for coming. I promise that this won't be long. " Her eyes wandered through the audience and two spotlights found their targets; the heads of government for both Terrijo and Antar IV. Kay held out her hands to the two gentlemen. "And thank you Prime Minister Bothwal and Lord Hunsrae for hosting this celebration. It is the work of these two gentlemen that have brought us all together in union once again. So everyone, please give them a round of applause." The Commenor Systems Alliance brought not only economic stability in the region, but also security. It was a sanctuary in the Galaxy wrought with war. After their short stint with the Metal Lords, the Prime Minister and Lord were pleased to find out that the CSA held no ill will for their decision to depart the Alliance. Burning bridges wasn't the way to go. So coming back was easy.

Kay knew that [member="Veiere Arenais"] was probably watching, either live or later on some holonews highlight. So after the applause died down, she looked right to the cameras recording the event. "I've only done this once before, and will do so again. I'm going to end my minutes on stage here not with some boring speech, but with a little music to help get everyone in the mood to dance..." She glanced back to the band and nodded, before looking to the cameras once more as the music started. Veiere might remember it. She was hoping that he would. She sang it on the night that the Commenor Systems Alliance began. And then afterwards, the two of them had danced. It was almost a call to him that she was making, letting him know that he was missed.

Once her performance was over, she quietly stepped off the stage. One song was more than enough for her. It took a lot of bravery to do that. Kay hoped that it was good enough for her Minister of Public Relations. Right now she needed some tea. The next song was already starting as she looked to Mac. "Well, now that that's done, I could use a drink. Then let's keep an eye out for my children. They should be around here somewhere..."

Having made a few laps around the room and made his greetings, Jayce now found himself standing at the bar with a Corellian Sunrise in his hand as he wondering what to do now.

He was not used to these big parties in the first place and was wondering if he should just finish his drink and make an exit.

Caedyn Arenais

Caedyn Arenais stood within the crowded room watching as his Mother stood upon the stage ahead of them all and produced an act the likes of which he had never seen her do before; at-least not nearly so publicly. [member="Lady Kay"] was admittedly something of a marvelous singer, not something her Son ever thought that he would learn standing among such a largely populated hall surrounded by strangers from distant worlds; still, there was much of his life that had come to pass in ways he had never dreamed upon before.

Scanning the back of the stage and the general area around his Mother however, Caedyn couldn't spot his Father nor his Sister; hell, even [member="Bradshaw Ku"] wasn't anywhere in sight. Their older brother was usually the kind of guy to be following this sort of event by the tail end, he loved to get up to no good with all his girlfriends and naturally there was never a lecture far behind him from their parents. The thought made him smirk a little mischievously to himself as Brad had always known how to lighten up a room with humor in the worst of situations and timing warranted it.

It was however unfortunate how much people liked to gossip, because unbeknownst to his Mother, Caedyn's attention while she had begun to leave the stage had landed upon an elderly couple talking about the latest news out of Commenor.

"Did you hear what happened on Deneba?...-I heard he did it...-Attacked the Jedi"...

The more that Caedyn listened, the less he felt like he knew. His fathers name was mentioned, then they sounded like they were making fun of his Mother. His hands closed into fists as he moved to step closer and interrupt them yet something caught him by the shoulder and the next thing he knew he was staring up at the firm and reminding glare of Adelle's sympathetic eyes. There was something there in that look that made Caedyn's stomach twist, his lips quiver in a moment of anxiety and doubt; the excitement of being there and seeing his family once again all suddenly disappeared and what replaced it was disbelief and the need for fresh air...

A need for which he sought to pursue, looking for the nearest exit of the building.

Shoden Moz

Lady Mischief of Nordel
  • Wearing: Robes

Darlyn was, particularly in tune with the family Arenais. Enough that he knew when people were members, and when [member="Caedyn Arenais"] was upset. He knew the boy long enough to know when the child was around, and when he was upset. Shoden might not have been around enough, if at all, to meet them, but her father knew when he needed someone. So, she was hardly surprised when, after being told that Caedyn was here, and where he was headed, the young girl took it upon herself to move.

Pink robes somehow slipped into the crowd, moving swiftly and quietly, her wooden toy sword still with her from before and carried close to her, so it wouldn't hit anyone she passed by. Swiftly, swiftly she ran through the crowd, until at last she was where she needed to be, well ahead of Caed, and with his path on the right side of her body. Now she had to wait quietly, silently, until he drew close. When she heard the footsteps of a young boy, she slowly stepped out in front of him, holding the toy sword at her side.

"Caedyn Arenais, you haven't even come say hello yet. You've hurt my feelings, whatever are you going to say to that?" The tone, the stance, the theatricals, even the way she held the toy sword. Everything, if the man remembered him, should scream Darlyn's name to him.

[member="Darben Skirae"]

no no she is fine, it's something me and you need to talk personally

She looked around and turned as lady may started talking, she smiled as she heard her singing and sighed a bit before her attention went back to darben and took his drink setting it down as she took his hand and pulled him with her as she laughed a bit

come let us dance a bit!

Anything to get him away from the drinking she would spring the question later in private....this was something she needed to take care of....it worried her greatly what could cause such a man like him to act that way? She had her own demons but many she kept at bay or pent up....she knew the pain greatly

Darben eyed her suspiciously, he wasn't sure what else there would be to discuss besides Renla...The thoughts drifted as he heard [member="Lady Kay"] begin to sing. He remembered the first time he heard that, it was at another event. Then [member="Stardust Raxis"] pulled him along, and he tried to stay still without dropping his glass. He was forced to set it down then off he went with her, against his own will. "S-Stardust, I can't dance!" he shouted out as she laughed.

Meanwhile Renla had spotted a friend of hers, [member="Shoden Moz"] and with permission from Mia she skipped over to see Shoden speaking to someone else. She may not have been a mere child anymore, but she still acted like one sometimes. "Hi Shoden! Hi..." Something was familiar about him certainly. She could not place her finger on it though.

[member="Caedyn Arenais"]

Christiana and Lauri continued to pass by various small groups, all conversing amongst themselves. Some were moving towards the dancd floor, much as Christiana had decided her and Lauri should. They past a group of three teens, one of whom being the one who had been Darlyn's partner in their entrance.

Christiana and Lauri arrived at the dance floor, just as [member="Lady Kay"] finished her song. More music picked up right as it ended, however, and the dance continued.

Lori grinned to [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] as he seemed pleased with her performance. But how he got out of his seat and towards the door faster than her was anyone's guess. Did he even wear his seatbelt? She didn't even think to check. "I dunno if Dad would believe me. You're ten times bigger than me." Of course she said that about anyone that was taller than her by a foot.

She hurried out after him, slinking past him so that she'd end up being at the front. Out of everyone that she was expecting to see tonight, the one that she was looking forward to the most was [member="Caedyn Arenais"] . Given that they were twins, the two already shared a bond. And she knew that he would be around here somewhere.

As the media fixated on the pair while they reached the venue's entrance, Lori held her head up high with a big proud look on her face, not giving any doubt that they had just witnessed her supreme piloting skills. "That's right, I did that. On PURPOSE."

Once they got inside, she caught the tail end of her Mom singing on stage. Most seemed to like it, but others were chattering amongst themselves. Something about it felt a little off, as though she was missing something important. That was normal for kids though, wasn't it? Her eyes scanned the audience, searching for her brother. And that was when she saw him, or rather the back of him while a girl in...hot pink jedi robes stood in front of him. Hot pink? Was [member="Shoden Moz"] for real? Regardless Lori quickly weaved through the crowd and then almost pounced on her twin brother as she hugged him tightly from behind. "Cae!!! Cae!! Did you see me fly?!! I did a FFCD maneuver on my own and it was wicked!!" The two had plenty to catch up on. Of course she sensed his tension and had hoped that just being there and sharing in some of her excitement would help. Not wanting to be rude really, she waved to Shoden and then to Cae's escort. "Hi!"

It was a rather large venue that the [member="Lady Kay"] had thrown was rather large. It had been years since the man had been to a party this large. The planet was rather pretty this time of year so he was truely mesmerized by the environment and longed for the non-filtered air to brush his face. To feel anything was something he had longed for since his return from the Unknown Region. His sensors picked up all the noice and life around him, he enjoyed the life of his close friend and her ability to create a peaceful environment when he was to head off to conflict next week. Conquering the Hutt Space in the Name of the Republic and his Clan was hard work. It was truely a nice feeling to have the day to relax.

Though it was always interesting to do so with [member="Loreena Arenais"] under his tutelage. He was distracted for a minute too long, and she was already in front of the cameras showing off her impressive, yet unrefined skill. Kay didn't give any instructions to keep her child away from the press, Jaster just didn't like them. He slowly walked after the child as she darted past the cameras and to the event doors. One of the Reporters noticed him and tried to ask a question, "General Awaud, is it true what happened on Nal..."

In a cool manner and not breaking his concentration on Loreena, he bumped the Male Reporter out of the way and grabbed onto the floating camera Droid, "No Comment" Then crushing the Droid in his hand using his exoskeleton arm, then dropping it on the floor.

He entered the event and scanned the crowed for the young troublemaker, she was bound to be the center of commotion here. As he thought this he noticed a small blip of human flesh jump into the air and onto another body..... it had to be her. He entered a brisk pace and walked over to the small group that was with the Queens Children. It was the first time he had meet Kay's son, but he knew the child without even meeting him. [member="Caedyn Arenais"] carried the same facial features as his father, but the eyes, he could see Kay in them without a doubt. He slowed his pace to a stop as he stood at his height of 6 foot 5 inches, crossed arms and looking down to his new Student. Apologies Lord A...." Jaster remembers that Kay mentioned her son being a student of an order of his fathers choosing. Proper addressing was important to him so he corrected himself, "I mean Mr. Arenais, I'm Jaster Awaud, friend of your mothers and Mandalorian Master training your sister in the ways of our Culture, it's a Pleasure to meet you, but I'm sure your mother is waiting to see you both so let's go find her." He nodded at the people in the group and stood there still looking at Loreen. Even with the helmet on she knew he was slightly upset with her rushing away without him. He refused to mention anything else about the matter however.

[member="Darben Skirae"]

relax! Follow my lead Ok?

She gave a reassuring smile as she put her hands on his shoulder and started to slowly move side to side, she needed to get his mind off things....She wanted him to have a good time before she went and dropped a star destroyer right on him...She pondered exactly how she could help him, she had many many ways to help him...She figured out one way that might just help him

Glancing to renla she smiled seeing her talking to a friend and turned back to darben as she gave a soft smile

her speech has become amazing I am proud

Darben had no idea how to do this so he put his hands on her shoulders, and followed her movements. He smiled awkwardly back to [member="Stardust Raxis"]. "Uh, right...yeah, I'll try." Had he known he would be dancing...He could feel Mia's snickers and future jeers at how he could not dance right now. His attention was diverted thankfully as Stardust spoke of Renla.

"Yes, she's...doing better." He still thought about it sometimes. About what happened to her. He still did not know, she had not spoken of it yet still. "I worry about her sometimes...She still hasn't told me about any family or anything like that." He kept his worried gaze over at her, accidentally stepping on Star's foot. "Oh, sorry..." He was much too distracted to be doing this.
