There was a deep melancholy to Miss Blonde today. It wasn't because she was picking herself up after the breakdown she had on Via, it was due to her love [member="Darth Abyss"] and him wanting to do whatever sithy things he did. Don't get her wrong, she loved him to pieces, it was just when it came to matters involving money he picked the more difficult route. Anaxas was a fortress world through and through, and a place like that positively ate planetary budgets. Most of the people who lived there were military personnel which meant it was a strict place to get more criminal businesses going other than selling prescription drugs to grunts looking to take the edge off without having hardcore substances showing up in tests. All and all the planet was a financial freaking nightmare, but it was special to Abyss and his time serving in the One Sith Empire. So she'd help him, because love made you do stupid crazy things.

Personally Blonde preferred Tython over Anaxas, that place was a money maker. From old Jedi ruins that needed plundering still, to more newer Sith temples that needed plundering, the place had credit signs written all over it. Syndicate even had a house there, it wasn't robust or anything but they had a small presence that would be laying low. But just because she couldn't have Tython didn't mean she couldn't knock out a few things on the to do list while on the fortress world. The Galactic Alliance were coming, and with them there were soldiers. Big meaty soldiers with the ingredients she needed inside of their fleshy soon to be corpses.

"You know how I feel about fortress planets." Standing next to Abyss in the ship was of course his woman Miss Blonde, who had informed him prior to this event how she felt towards planets akin to this one.

"War Dogs are on standby in the freighters I brought behind us, bout thirty thousand strong. I hope they'll be enough for what's about to go down." Turning towards the viewport she watched as they grew closer and closer to the planet.

The closer they drew to the planet, the more she wanted to fight. That nagging itch that was combat filled her and she wanted to claim a few heads. As a crime lord and secretly decent human being, Blonde never really enjoyed violence. But with recent events she needed to be ruthless, she needed to want destruction and chaos, and she made sure to channel that weakness of wanting peace into her rage of want for death. She had plenty of enemies and they were about to see why she wasn't to be fucked with.

The enemy ships had come to the Fortress world. Sayo had yet to encounter an invasion from space, so this was new for her. She had only come to the planet because she wanted to see what the fortress there was like. It could be beneficial to her Yomida and Dynasi, after all. The whole reason she had been sent away from her home was so that she could learn things about the outside galaxy and learn to adapt it to what was happening on Azuchi. Anything to get a leg up on the forces of the other Dynasi.

But now it seemed that they were to come under attack. Jedi no doubt.

She was aware that there was one Sith Lord, at least, on the world, and so she made her way in the direction that she could feel him and another. She wore her traditional armor and had her naginata strapped to her back. Nobody stopped her as she approached, mask covering her face and straw hat upon her head. She made her way through the facility to the communications chamber where she could contact the Lord in space, and whoever was with him.

"Lord Abyss," she began, offering a traditional bow as the holo read her movements. "May I inquire what is happening up there? Should ground forces be prepared?"

As the ships descended down towards the planet, Abyss turned to Miss Blonde while his Inner Eye took position on the ramp of the freighter. They all had picked up their old, ragged one sith uniforms, and made an effort to reattach their old rank patches that marked each of them as either a high ranking official or agent of the One Siths intelligence branch. Their eyes had a glow in them, not to unlike that in Abyss own eyes, showing a level of pride really seen in them.

"Relax. I promise you that this will turn out in our advantage. First Anaxes, the Tython."

What followed was an incoming transmission from the surface, presumably by a young follower of the sith way that resides on the fortress world for some reason. That was good news, each sith that would stand with them would make a useful asset in the fight that would most certainly come sooner or later. From the Intel he had gathered it seemed that there were more of their kind there, some even in high ranking positions. That could be as much an advantage as it could be an obstacle. Every Sith inherited ambition, and some of them would probably be not that happy with the One Sith high command returning to take away their control. But they would die if they would oppose them, as it was tradition. He moved to the communicator to answer:

"Not yet, but soon the enemy will be at our doorstep. Meet me at the landing bay, so we can discuss our next steps. Abyss out."

When the ship touched the ground, and Abyss and his men stepped out, they were greeted exactly in the way that the sith Lord had expected. Soldiers waiting in two lines that formed a path for them to walk through, each of them saluting to them in their ragged and stitched One Sith uniforms. To the alliance he was either an unknown or a war criminal, but to the One Sith he was a hero, a warrior who had risked his live time and time again fighting besides the common soldiers in the front lines.

At the end of the soldiers stood a single officer, saluting as well. It took Abyss a second, but a closer look revealed that it was the same man that had served besides him during the attacks of Kuat and Mindabaal. With his eyes glowing bright yellow the sith stepped forward, extending his hand to greet his old ally.

"Officer Kyle. It has been a while old friend."

The man grabbed Abyss hand, his face showing a expression that mirrored that of the sith Lord. Abyss had always wondered what happened to the man after the downfall, and he was glad to see that he made a way for himself without the lead of a Lord above him.

"It's admiral Kyle now, my lord. I volunteered to bring you to our current high command. Follow me."

Blonde wasn't the jealous type, really she wasn't. Buuut... when the PYT came up on the screen saying Lord Abyss, there was a small twinge of it flaring up behind the mask. Blonde was a very keep your hands off my man kind of girl, though she didn't say anything due to her knowing the little Sith underling was just being proper when addressing higher ranking members of their order. She still didn't have to like it though.

"So it's Lord Abyss now?" She said in a flat sarcastic tone as the ramp dropped for them to leave the freighter.

When the ramp did drop, it was clear their worlds were certainly different. Rows of soldiers lined up to greet him and stand there holding on to the pride of the One Sith, the very people she had taken so much pride in killing in another life. But low and behold, here she was now about to do battle with the very people whose heads she was exploding on Manaan with rifle. It was a slightly unsettling feeling, not to mention all the ceremony. In the criminal underworld things were a lot different, there was maybe a hand shake or two but there was no grand gesture of respect towards others. That went unsaid in the bonds of business and the code of being an outlaw. Back allies and VIP sections of clubs were where operations to commit mass murder were planned.

For the most part she just stood there waiting for Abyss to be done catching up with his old ex girlfriend Kyle, and once that was all well and good she would look up at Abyss and speak.

"My War Dogs have started landing along with the light armor and mobile artillery detachments I've had brought. I'd like to discuss tactics with you soon, if time of course permits it." The enemy could be upon them at any moment, so time was of the essence.

"Hai," she said, bowing again before ending the communication.

She didn't know where this place was, so she had to ask one of the technicians in the communications chamber. The man pointed her in the right direction and she turned to head that way, steps light and silent as she moved. The words of the woman with Lord Abyss were lost to her, unheard, but she certainly had no designs on the man. Attachments, while beneficial to ensuring the longevity of her family, would serve her no purpose for the time being, and she also barely knew the Sith Lord.

As she walked, she paid careful attention to those moving around her. Most carried blaster weaponry, which she found distasteful, but she understood that most people of worlds other than hers were inferior warriors and so had to result to dishonorable means in order to win their battles. Sayo was such a purist that she even refused to poison her blades, though she certainly could have done so. Many warriors on her world did because it ensured a kill, even if a killing blow could not be landed. She wanted her kills to be due to skill, not poison.

She walked into the landing bay and looked around. All of the ships had people busily buzzing about them like bees in a flower field before flitting back to their hives in the trees. Each caste had their duties, even here. These were largely lesser than warriors. Even the pilots she would not consider warriors. Firing weapons from ships was hardly the work of a warrior.

Stepping aside, she moved out of the way of those who were busy while she awaited the arrival of Lord Abyss.

Despite the collapse of the One Sith shortly after their defeat at Coruscant, the Galactic Alliance had failed to consolidate their gains within the Core. That gave local regimes formally affiliated with the One Sith time to rebound and cement their holdings. In Anaxes' case, locals still answered the call of the Dark Lords. They Sith had made the first move as the Galactic Alliance finally refocused on the Core much too late. Their objective in retaking Anaxes would now be made all the harder, as fresh reinforcements arrived to bolster the already formidable defenses of the mighty fortress world.

For Scáthach's part in this, the former One Sith officer worked on making sure the orbital
defenses were in order. It began on the surface with several emplacements of ion cannons, RAX-launchers and hypervelocity guns. These were in turn protected by smaller emplacements and mobile AA units meant to defend against fighters and incoming ballistic weapons. The next layer of defense was an interlapping network of Defenstar 5000 planetary shields that covered the surface of the planet. Many shields were used in place of one in order to make it more difficult for attackers to bring them down. Above and below the coverage of the shields, interceptors and other small craft flew constant patrols as part of the upper levels of defense. In orbit, there was a large of array of hundreds of Type-C mines. In open space, her advance flotilla split up into smaller formations in a series of micro-jumps across the system, laying in wait to pounce. In the depths of space, when ships ran quiet like hers were now, they were as difficult to locate as a needle in a haystack. No special stealth technology needed.

The
centerpiece of this entire defensive scheme was going to be set along all incoming hyperoutes into the system. She established a network of Empion mines to first ensnare unwary civilian vessels with the gravity generators, then disable them with the subsequent ion blasts. She continued this in several waves, until she had nice big fields of derelict ships. Hostages. With her marines and war droids, she moved to commender these vessels. From then on, fighters and warships lay in wait just outside the zone of the fields as they used pulse mass generators to keep pulling out ships from hyperspace, then disable them with ion fire and pule-mag missiles, further adding to the field. It would be these ever growing fields of ships that subsequent vessels would meet on their way into the system.

Preparations were mostly complete, now all that was left to do was to enjoy a delicious snack with her new allies. She had brought homemade cream slices.

"Well you can come with me to meet the current high command, or stay here and prepare your forces. I will make sure they listen to your commands."

Following behind the now admiral, Abyss was lead towards the entrance of the base, and on the way he path crossed that of the young sith that had contacted them in orbit. The sith lord offered a firm bow, as firm as possible to not raise Blondes jealousy any more, before speaking.

"Acolyte. I take you are more accustomed to this world than me. Please join with the forces outside and help with any preparations."

In fact he had no official command over her whatsoever, not only because the One Sith empire was actually dead, but because he had the impression that she wasn't even part of the remnant that ruled here. But she had asked for his command before, as she was an acolyte of the order and he a lord of the sith, so he gave it to her. As illogical as it sounded, having acolytes somewhere a bit higher up in your command structure was generally speaking a pretty good idea, as the young ones always were ambitious to prove themselves on the battlefield. They were great at commanding forces, in many cases directly in the front lines, and that made them a unique and quite effective part of most sith armies.

His old friend lead him through long corridors, and after every corner they passed he noticed that the number of people around began to drop. A clear sign that they were closing in to the leadership area of the base. In front of a sealed door the admiral stopped, tipping a long, complex code sequence into a terminal besides the door. With a slight hiss, the opened, revealing the inside to the sith lord.

12 people sat around a large table in the middle of the room, on it a holographic detection of the system they were in. 8 of them wore uniforms that represented their ranks as Grand Admirals. Not that this remnant actually had real grand admirals, but leaders always felt a need for imposing titles. The other 4 were shrouded in dark robes, not unlike Abyss himself. Their auras were vibrant with the power of the dark side, but he was convinced that non of them would be able to beat him on their own.

Most of those gathered greeted the sith lord with a friendly grins, firm nods, and one of the sith actually rose from his chair to bow in front of Abyss. Only one sat restless in his chair, clearly unhappy with the situation. The man had sickly, pale skin and yellow eyes, and if Abyss had to guess was also a head or two larger than him. Obviously he had been the one to call the shoots around here until his arrival. The dark figure rose, stepping in front of Abyss in a attempt to threaten the other lord.

"Lord Abyss, what is the meaning of your presence in my Kingdom? Anaxes belongs to me, Darth Deruptus, Dark Lord of the sith."

Abyss made a split second decision. He could take on this "Dark Lord" that suffered from sort of narcissistic delusion in a duel, but that would waste valuable time they didn't had right now. So he picked the more efficient, but dishonorable way. Not that it mattered anyway, the way it looked to him the others would be more than happy to get this enormous waste of space out of the picture.

"I accept your superiority, Lord Deruptus. My blade is yours."

Like a servant Abyss dropped to his knees, his head lowered, while the other raised his head in triumph. But only for a second, before all air was pushed out from his body the second the scattergun shoot ripped the mans chest into pieces. That was the beauty of carrying a concealed gun around in your boot. Casually he rose from the ground again, whipping of a bit of blood from his mask, before addressing the leftover 11 men in the room.

"Now that is taken care of, it is time for us to get to work. We have much to discuss, and time is running short gentleman."

With the dead Sith lying at their feet, Miss Blonde simply laughed. It was genuine one at that, not that fake forced laughter that helped set up a character's archetype. It was just genuinely funny that the Sith didn't see that one coming, how he even survived up until that point or much less how he was in charge was a mystery in itself. Hell, she would of seen that coming a mile away and would of had s gun drawn or a sniper ready before Abyss even pulled the gun. But low and behold this piece of Bantha crap couldn't even pick that out. That's why she laughed, it was genuinely hilarious.

So as her laughter calmed slowly, she walked over to the corpse and while Abyss went about his business of taking command. Once there she grabbed the hooded Sith by his robe and started to pull the corpse until it was in the view of everyone else in the room towards the front door. And from her back she produced a short sword that resembled a Gladius and used it to swiftly remove the head from the shoulders of the former leader's body. More warm blood spilled onto the floor and Blonde's chuckles were were almost faded at that point.

"Doesn't that just beat all." She said to herself then snapped her fingers over towards one of the War Dogs that had followed the two of them into the building.

"You. Take the corpse to the ship, and you, set the face at rest wash it and then give the head a proper burial." She ordered and then the war dogs made it so.

Grabbing the Sith Lord's corpse the droid heaved it over its shoulders like a bag of flour and walked out the room, while another went off to go and bury the man's head with due ceremony. As for Blonde she simply turned around and spoke in a very professional tone with an emphasis that Abyss was in charge now, and he would be calling the shots.

"Don't mind him, he's off to become a higher form of existence. I do hope no one has any objections to it." Ruthless as always, Blonde was back to her old self.

"Yes. Let us move on to our objective. There's no time to waste," the woman nodded. She looked at Marcus, thought for a moment, and then turned her attention away as she started to walk. With a single swift motion, her lightsaber came off of her belt and was ignited, the blue light from the blade projected onto nearby surfaces. She could feel the Darkness around -- many, many living beings moving around and radiating the Dark into the air. It was disgusting what they had done to the planet. Those damned Vahla.

"Seraph Kaida Taldir, this is Jedi Marshal Lancaster Imperieuse," Liliane replied to Kaida's call. She hadn't expected to find allies so early in the mission. Thankfully, if she recalled correctly, the Tygaran Alliance was not really the most lightsided faction around, so there was no need to keep her Dark Side aura hidden. "Me and Sergeant Marcus are moving toward the valley. I would suggest you enter the valley from the other side."

The situation was getting more and more dangerous as she neared the valley. She didn't know how many Vahla would be there and whether she would find Isolda or not. But she had to try and she had to give her best. Besides, she had the help of the Whiskey Squad and the people of the Tygaran Alliance, so there was no need to be afraid.

Like she would ever be afraid anymore.

She took a few more steps through the twisted trees and horrid landscape and there they were -- the valley.

Ijaat stood before one of the great forges of the Je'daii. A smithing hammer of folded madog steel, a heavy thing, was clenched in gloved right hand and tongs in the left turned the glowing billet of metal over and over on the anvil of the same metal as the hammer. The Force faintly hummed in him as he poured senses into the bar. Weeks had been spent cleaning out this Forge and removing taint as best as he could.

It was not in perfect harmony, but it would not corrupt anything forged in it now. So long as the smith had a good mind about him, anyway. Right now Ijaat was of the business of seeking out the shatterpoints in the metal and removing them, folding the steel. The Force burned in him, flowing from him into the metal and back, powering muscles and sinew and altering the very metal on a molecular metal.

He had [member="Coci Heavenshield"] to thank for knowing that part of the process. With that knowledge from her, he could alter the weak points into just as strong a link as any other. Doing this at any step in the process made it so that the blade would become not indestructible, but incredibly durable. It would never noticeably dull, and to break or damage it would require a lightsaber.

Any nearby with any skill would sense the very alloy he worked almost shining and humming in the Force, as if alive, but subtly different. It had a definitive aura beyond almost anything before. What Ijaat would attempt this day might be... Insane by some accounts. But it would be a testament to his skill if it could be done.

On the tables nearby lay an assortment of tools and materials. From massive strikers mauls and custom tongs. The most noticeable part though was perhaps a massive spike of kyber crystal. What the intent was with that, who knew. Pages and pages of sketches, drawings, formulas, stacks of datapads lay strewn about the immediate area as well. On the walls, floors and hanging from rods driven into the ground were numerous wards, and bones littered one nearby furnace as it blazed.

He had rid the place of flesh raiders and spawn, and then used knowledge from the Dai Bendu and others to create wards to help repel and protect against others of that nature. They weren't excessively strong, but it was highly unlikely much of anything attuned too much to one side of the Force or the other would cross the thresholds he had made around his forge and the path out of the temple without him knowing of it, and reacting.

And indeed, amongst the supplies sat a gleaming lightsaber hilt, freshly made by the look of it. As the smith toiled, pushing himself to the limits in terms of the Force and his power within it, sweat pouring across him. He stood in breeches only, a leather apron across a bare torso, robes discarded to the side. The ground, the sky, everything around him would hum very faintly, reverberating just at the edge of hearing with each strike. Now began another step as the shatterpoints were removed and the weapon enhanced overall...

Now began attuning the weapon to his mind and the Temple Forge at which he worked, which stood mostly free of it's shackles now after those agonizing weeks. Tython naturally wanted to be in balance, craved it, and when one helped to push and tip the scales, the planet would react shockingly quickly it seemed. But he could only do a minimal amount of stabilizing, beyond his little camp in a cave and this forge, there still seethed a wounded planet out of alignment, but there were things on the edge of his sense that said it may not be so for long.

Coruscant

The Itsukusk was within the system on its first official run. The tests had been running far away from the public eye but now she was battle ready and on her maiden tour through Alliance worlds. She was the largest vessel the Alliance had fielded since the Spirit had been destroyed by Omega.

Vilin watched her from the bridge of the Viperous. It wasn't often his star defender acted as an escort vessel, but the Trimiran class was entirely dwarfed.

"Sir, Admiral Quallis is on the line. Calling for an urgent class four briefing."

Vilin looked back from the viewing platform. He reached out and took his cane from where it had been leaning against the wall. It made no noise as he watched back across the bridge. His crew knew all too well that when the cane clacked as he walked he was dissapointed by their performance.

"I'll take it in the command suite."

If [member="Miss Blonde"] and [member="Darth Abyss"] had continued their slow build they might well have caught the Alliance unawares. However [member="Scáthach"] deploying all kinds of mines and microjumping small fleets around a system so close to Coruscant was certain to draw attention quickly.

Darkness. In it, a glimpse of a light.

"Go! You must go now! Don't look back!" a voice of a woman echoed in the darkness. "It's the Light! Go towards the Light! Jedi!"

Oscar had learned to wake up from his nightmares without panicking too much. However, that vision was something completely unexpected to him -- never before had he heard a person telling him what to do in the dreams. He didn't know if it was a good thing or not, but all he knew was that he had to act now.

"Where are you going?" a voice in the boy's head asked. He had given up trying to identify the voices when he'd understood no voice was ever the same. He probably heard hundreds of different voices in his head every single day, yet he was sure he had never heard the same voice twice.

"I don't know. Something is calling for me. I must go now. The Light is in need."

"You poor summer child, why don't you ever learn. Don't go. You'll never return," the next voice started.

"I must go. I must go, there's no other way. Jedi need me. Jedi," he muttered to himself while trying to put on his robe. "Or was it Je'daii? Tython?"

"You don't even know where to go. Stop it now."

"NO! LET THE BOY GO!"
"It is Tython. Go."

An urgent memorandum bounced to Theed Hangar's Strategic Security Branch. A series of distress calls from Naboo-flagged or Theed-built starships had been cut off abruptly. Other calls had been noted, but these were, naturally, of special interest.

In the nearby Humbarine sector, the strategic surveillance cruiser RNS Jamillia was overseeing certain collaborative efforts with Fa Holdings. Due to escalating tensions with the new regime on Marasa, the Jamillia had brought assorted escorts and a scarred old Star Destroyer that called itself RNS Naberrie.

A flight of S-3 scout fighters exited hyperspace two light-years from Anaxes and deployed hypercapable SUREC probes. The probes arrived in the Anaxes system, obtained a snapshot, transmitted that snapshot, and self-destructed while being disabled by the minefield. Reliable systems relayed the information between the scout fighters and the Jamillia. The strategic surveillance cruiser assessed the limited data obtained, made some educated guesses, and passed it along to the nearest GADF flag officer -- in this case, [member="Vilin"].

"If at all possible, admiral, we may attempt to capture the enemy commander"

"Who's the enemy commander here?"

"Rear Admiral Arian Kanno"

"Forward shields are at 35%, topside-forward shields at 55%, topside-aft shields at 65%" the chief engineer reported, while the carrier absorbed the fire from the Justicar.

The Tython Campaign was in planning for months prior to this operation being underway. Therapy Command was assigned Tython proper, [member="Vilin"] was assigned Anaxes along with his immediate superior, Admiral Quallis, but Cathul didn't know whether there was going to be anybody assigned over Aargau or Vur Tepe, these segments of the campaign were kept secret from those assigned to the main two thrusts of the campaign, which were Tython and Anaxes. They did not expect Aargau to be requiring much of a naval presence, and neither did she expect the Itsukusk to be deployed in battle, after spending so long in drydock for refitting to today's standards. But, at the same time, it would appear that the concentrated long-range fire battered the enemy shields to the point that the Justicar took some hull hits and penetrating the armor. And yet, as the enemy fighter squadrons are closing in on the fleet and its 10 fighter squadrons, and into the hornet nest formed by point-defense and by the fighters, the GA bomber squadrons already began forming up, with one squadron of fighters assigned to each group of bombers, while the Boneshatters are still out of standard firing range.

"The Charge, Tython and Anaxes are within standard turbolaser range of the Legacy, admiral" the captain of the Legacy reported.

"Lothal, Aleen, concentrate your non-missile fire on the Charge! Missile fire is to be directed on the hangars of the Tython and Anaxes! Vorzyd, Werewolf, Xagobah squadrons, form up with one K-wing squadron and one D-wing squadron each, and target the Charge, Tython and Anaxes respectively"

But being within standard turbolaser range of the Legacy did not mean that they were within standard turbolaser range of the Lothal or Aleen. Of course, all three units sustained some fire from the very ships they are targeting. They could still keep going, but another volley would mean that their shields would be in serious trouble. With the Maladis being on each side of the Legacy, each broadside of the Legacy had to fire on them, with the Legacy's 380mm hypervelocity cannon being aimed at the Justicar, as were the 380mm HVCs on the carrier. With the volume of fire directed at them decreasing, the crews on the Justicar would feel that it is a question of time before their ship would be left alone. But try as they may, especially since it is a little slow to advance and turn around, they didn't do much to close the distance. Yet the crews of the cruisers knew that MIRV fire would not necessarily penetrate: of the missiles being fired, only about a quarter would penetrate the hangars, and that did not cause a whole lot of damage, but enough to be unusable for fighter maintenance.

"Unacceptable."

Old Admiral Harrier said with a monotone disdain after receiving a report from The Citadel over the changing of leadership. The politics and scheming of the Sith were yet again rearing their head from the darkness. And of course it was to fight themselves for power and bring down everyone around them in the most dire of times. The ruling council may have been ineffective but they maintained control with their feared status. Earlier in the month, reports had come from spies on Coruscant the Alliance was readying for some kind of mobilization, a large one. Harrier was in charge of the Axum Systems defenses and had already made the necessary preparations for war. Darth Abyss was a variable he never thought to consider. Or any Sith other than those on the council for that matter. He would account for him now though. The defensive plan didn't change, for now anyways. Simply another task to be done before it.

"Admiral Harrier on the bridge." Lieutenant Bromin called to the bridge crew.

The Admiral crossed over to the Bromin and immediately blasted him with a question. "Lieutenant did you clear Darth Abyss' ship to pass the security cordon and land?!"

The man was blindsided and stumbled to find his verbal footing again. "I uhh, uhhm. Well yes Admiral. He gave us proper clearance codes, they were older but still good. And he's of the old Em...".

Harrier cut him off before he could finish incriminating himself further. "Dead Empire we no longer serve you idiot!" A mechanical hand grasped the collar of Bromin tightly. Lucky for the man not his neck. "He's seized the council by force and is moving to take over Anaxes. And it's by your doing."

"Sir I never." The stumbling continued on.

Shut it. You're relieve of your command Bromin. Guards, take this man to the detention center until we can deal with this." Two Stormtroopers on the bridge seized the man from behind and took him off the bridge to be confined. The Admiral looked around the bridge. Everyone had stopped what they were doing. It was hard not to with that sort of spectacle going on in front of them. "Silber, front and center."

Valkyra climbed her way out of the crew pit as ordered, marched over to the Admiral and came to attention awaiting his word.

"Sublieutenant Silber I am promoting you to full Lieutenant effective immediately. You also have a new assignment. Contact operations and prepare the Troopers for a landing party. We're going to quash this coup d'etat in its crib. Gather any loyalists you can and put an end to it. I expect my best student to accomplish this mission. Understood?"

"Yes sir. I will see to it."

"As you wish, Lord Abyss," she said, dipping her head in bow again.

While he and the woman with him left the hangar, she turned and headed out to where ground forces were being arranged. She'd caught a whiff of derision when speaking with the elder Sith. Not unexpected, but she knew he meant to do something dangerous, though she couldn't possibly know what that something was. What she did know was that she had been given a task by a superior and that she was duty bound to follow it. For her, that was like sweet music. The task of seeing to ground forces in preparation for the coming battle was not lost to her. It was much the same as she would have done back on Azuchi.

Here the soldiers carried dishonorable weapons, but she would work with what she was given. Already the majority were taking their positions. Some were manning big guns, others were moving to assigned positions throughout the city. Regardless of what she thought of their choice of weaponry, they were certainly well disciplined. She found the nearest Captain and approached him.

"We are more than likely to have company soon. Lord Abyss has sent me to see to the status of your readiness."

"We are prepared as always. Heavy gun positions are manned and we're ready to-" The man paused and tapped the communications device on his ear. "What?" Pause. "Really? Very well." The man looked past her and pointed to several others. "You there, apprehend this woman and send men to the Dark Lord to see to his safety. Lord Abyss is to be taken into custody."

Outrageous. Her naginata was in her hands, instantly. With a swift half step forward and a right to left motion, her blade sliced half the Captain's head off without so much as a thought. She spun about as the two he'd called to arrest her trained their guns on her. A shot raced towards her and her naginata caught it, absorbed the energy as she fused it with darkside energy and swept towards the two, swinging her long handled weapon in a sweep that knocked the mans gun from his hands before she grabbed the end and jabbed forward, piercing his chest armor and stopping his heart. The third man dropped his weapon and held up his hands.

"You, see to it that no one follows the captains orders or your body will join theirs."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Lord Abyss, as lucky as we are to have you back, we don't think that everyone else shares that opinion."

Abyss stood in the room, the free seat now filled by the newly promoted Grand Admiral Kyle, while one of the remaining sith addressed his concerns about the current operation. That wasn't something he would consider news, intelligence had already suggested that they would have to deal with fringe elements before his position would be solidified on the fortress world. For exactly that reason both he and [member="Miss Blonde"] had brought their private armies with them, to erase any intruders, both from the inside and the outside. The Sith lord offered the high command a quick smile, emitting the same vibrant confidence and charisma that had elevated him in the ranks of the one sith before.

"Gentlemen, I presume you have the codes to transmit a message to all soldiers on Anaxes. If so, I would like to have a word with them."

Admiral Kyle made a few quick movements on the terminal in front of him, before giving his old friend a quick thumbs up. Communication Officer Kyle, just like old times. Abyss stepped on the holographic communicator, ready to give a speech, that would echo through the ages, like he had done every time that he brought the One Sith back from the edge of destruction, delaying the inevitable far longer than most had anticipated back then.

"Brothers and sister, lords, knights and acolytes, soldiers and pilots, officers and commanders, mothers, fathers and children. I hope you have not forgotten about me. I know that I have not forgotten you in all these years. The brave men and women I fought and bleed side by side with, in victory and defeat. Many of us left their live, yet here we stand in defiance of those that opposed us. Your leaders either stand besides me, or they have fallen so deep in their greed for power that they ignore that the enemy is at our doorstep. They want you to throw away your live to kill your friends, your comrades, your family, only so they can rule over the ashes. I feel shame that I left you to be ruled by such fools. But now I have returned, and I humbly beg you for forgiveness. Allow me to be your blade and shield once more."

The Holographic depiction of Abyss raised his right fist to his chest, right where his heart was. Everyone who had been with the real One Sith would recognize him, Abyss the Ascended, both in his words and his appearance. From the inside of his robe his left reached for a piece of cloth, even more ragged than his robe. The symbol on it was withered and faded, yet it was clear what it was: The insignia of the One Sith.

"For passion, for power, for victory."

The holographic image died down as Abyss stepped from the communicator, the high command looking at him with wide eyes. They still had been cautious, but now each of them knew for sure, that the last Knight had truly returned to lead them trough the battle to come.

Anaxes - Troop Quarters

A commander walked through his troops, his head red from anger, as he watched as almost all of his soldiers sucked in the incoming transmission with euphoria. He stepped to the nearest of them, giving out a quick punch to knock the soldier out.

"Stop listing to him, our ord..."

The words stayed stuck in the mans throat as a blaster bolt burned a hole into his chest. For a moment there was silence, as all soldiers gathered there looked at the small trail of smoke dancing of the rifle in the hands of a soldier on the other side of the room. The rank patches on his uniform marked him as a former member of the Sith Ascension, the anti crusade against the Mandalorians lead by Abyss. Suddenly a shout broke through the darkness, and soon many, if not all of the soldiers joined into the chant, weapons raised and pride in their faces:

"All hail the Ascended."

Blonde had already chalked this entire ordeal up as an operational loss in her head, there was no money to be made here. So that meant she was completely unhinged today, since there was nothing to really be gained she'd crush and destroy whoever wanted to try anything with little afterthought of the planet's infrastructure. So while Abyss went off on his speech about whatever Sith stuff the planet wanted to hear, Blonde had a very different objective. Abyss was starting to win over the people, so his image needed to remain as clean as a Sith Lord's could be. As for her, butchery such as the events that would unfold. Well let's just say that was left up to more experienced hands such as hers. There would always be loyalist among the sheep, and they would need to be dealt with. Fighting a war on two fronts was never a good thing. So Miss Blonde had two objectives, the first was to kill said loyalists. The second was a bit darker.

This planet in all likelihood was going to succumb to the rule of the Galactic Alliance, that was a very high possibility. They had bigger ships, better routes to supply themselves, and they could cut the planet off at its knees then bleed it out slowly siege style, and blonde was not looking to have a long drawn out war of attrition. That was just boring. So plan two was simple, destroy Anaxes.

And she had a very very simple way on how to do it. Around the little red planet there were tons of shipyards, that was the planet's main export. Big hulking shipyards that spanned for miles around the planet, enough to trigger an extinction level event. While Blonde may of felt a little bad for not telling Abyss, he'd understand should worse come to worse. For now the droids were finished unloading onto the planet, and those freighters that had dropped them off took up strategic points along said shipyards, and of course said freighters were loaded to the gills in explosives. Not to mention the worker droid operatives blonde had slip into the shipyards carrying explosives that were to be placed at strategic weak points. She'd burn it all to the ground before letting the Galactic Alliance have anything of value. Was she breaking her own first law? Yes. But did she care or would anyone ever find out it was her? Probably not.

"Everything is in place my love, and troops are ground side. We'll begin operations as soon as you give the word." She said as innocent as could be.

Hopefully things wouldn't need to resort to plan number two, and they could successfully hold off the incoming assault both from within and without.

"Since there's still time I recommend you order the evacuation of all civilians living on the planet, it would be a wise thing to do. I'll give them care and temporary housing on a nearby world." He really really really needed to give that order.

Because as far as the NPC admiral was concerned, Blonde was gonna burn his entire fucking planet if he didn't get in line.

Jay descended into The Fallow Mire. Climbing down from the cliffs into the muddy trenches and black trees of the low land. He used stealth when it afforded him and his lightsaber when it did not. The Raiders were well spaced, died quickly, and he drew little attention to himself as he passed by. While an Apprentice in rank, his experience alone still held the day. Soon however, the sounds of a near battle drew his attention.

"That's automatic blaster fire? No mere creature's iron spear. Could reinforcements be nearby?"

He turned his helm and his heavy pack westward to investigate.

...

The disturbance came from the wreckage of a crashed Alliance shuttle. Three troopers, clad in red colors, demanded to hold their ground. They were assaulted by a cavalry of Raiders with improvised weapons. The noise and the fires must have drawn them. Thankfully, these dark creatures were no match for modern weaponry. No matter how hard or how fast they could throw a sharpened stick. Yet still, the Raiders numbers continued to grow. Swelling from eight to eleven in almost the blink of an eye. Jay could sense more coming in the Force too.

But should he help them alone? Four on twenty didn't seem like fair odds. The Force gave no answer. He was on his own.

"Damn."

He activated his blue lightsaber and gave a powerful throw for the nearest blighted creature. Tearing the massive beast clean in half.

"Here goes nothing!"

With a long sigh and a catapulting lunge, he joined the fray.

...

Little did Masaki know however that these poor troopers had already called for help. And Angelic help it was at that.

Since there was some distance between, Kaida could probably not see the Jedi Marshal's corrupted golden eyes. However, shewas able to feel the darkness that seemingly emanated from her aura.

She also did not particularly care. Eldorai perceived the Force differently from Jedi and Sith, which was why so few of her people were drawn to either cult. To them, the Force was Sciia, which was also their word for soul.

It was the inner flame the gifted could tap into, not an all-encompassing, dualistic energy field. Dashdae Sciia was often translated as 'darksider', but was more of a political label for Force-users who went astray and took up arms against the Star Queen...which had little to do with one's colour scheme or the powers one used.

Long story, cut short, she shrugged and returned the call. "Acknowledged, Jedi Marshal," she responded curtly. Her tone was chilly, but the Seraph always sounded that way. It would be a cause for concern if she did not.

"Askari," she gestured to one of her subordinates, "take Blue Wing, I'll take Red. Green, guard our LZ. You'll be on call. Move out." Eldorai military organisation was a bit idiosyncatric, especially among the Angelii, who refused to adapt to galactic standards. But a Wing was the equivalent of a Squad. Should either Whiskey Squad squad encounter strong opposition, the Angelii could provide enfilade fire and envelope their enemy, and vice versa.

"Understood, Lady Seraph," Askari quickly got her group organised. "Onward, Angelii. Praise Ashira and slay evil. Each woman to toil in the vineyard of the Goddess." Sometimes Kaida wondered if her battle sister kept referencing scripture in her presence because she knew how much it annoyed her.

The corrupt energies that permeated the air seemed to grow stronger the more the Angelii advanced towards the valley. Even the vegetation had not been left untainted, for the trees were twisted and rotten, the landscape horrid and dark storm clouds were upon the horizon. Kaida did not believe in the dark side the way a Jedi would, but she knew some things were not meant to be. It was high time to cleanse this world with fire and sword.

She pressed on, eyes cold and resolute. Then her keen elf ears picked up noise, sounds of battle. "Askari, sitrep," she demanded, when she saw a bright stream of flame.

"Encountered hostile savages!" A blazing stream of fire leapt from the Angelii's hand to immolate a mutated Flesh Raider. Already a savage creature by nature, the vile magicks of the Sith cultists had twisted it even further.

"Engage them up close. Red shall flank them." Already the Angelii were moving into action. Precise bolter and elemental fire would cut down the savages, but doubtless these beasts were just the warmup, if there was any truth to the reports about Darth Isolda and her dark cult still being on this world.

"Affirmative." The Host Leader's gleaming Sarix, emblematic weapon of her order, ran one of the benighted creatures through as Askari ducked under a heavy blow, ending its unnatural existence. In the far distance, the Oracle Tower had become visible in its terrible, twisted glory.
