A Meeting Among the Dead

Ashe Senari

"There's a little hook at the top, could you do that too?" she mumbled, redder than a togruta at this point. She felt his fingers slide the hook into place and sighed in relief. She wiggled a little to make sure the dress wouldn't fall off of her slim form. When she was satisfied that it was secure she sat down on the edge of the bed. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He smiled as she turned redder and stared at her face for a few moments but said nothing and only started laughing. "Shessh, if you get this embarrassed for needing help putting something on, i could never hope to know what you would look like if you did anything that was indecent. I mean that must make your head explode from all that redness and i would be sitting here watching."

"I've never done anything indecent!" Ashe practically screamed as her face grew so red she looked ready to explode. The poor embarrassed Echani sat down on the edge of the bed like a pouting child as she flipped her hair in front of her face. The warrior refused to look up at the man who was currently tormenting her in the friendliest of ways. His light-hearted teasing was all in good fun, but if she got anymore embarrassed she might actually explode. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He smiled and moved infront of her, kneeling down and pushing her hair out of her face and up behind her ears before smiling again and nodding. "There we go, what were you doing thinking hiding your face would make things look better. Trust me when i say you want to show your face there Dove, its quite impressive in its own right." He tilted his head and started to stand up as he let her get more embarrassed or ready to go, either way he won.

Ashe turned her head to the side and nodded. She took a few deep breathes, forcing herself to calm down and stop being embarrassed. Their ship had landed it was time to for them to go cause trouble somewhere else. She smiled a bit as she realized where they were. This was definitely one of the more interesting planets to be one and the warrior was sure she was in for some fun. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

Kharren smiled and blinked before remembering something as he stepped back to look at the side of the place in which he stood in. "Right... lets get a move on, don't want to keep this place waiting for the great terrors that we are right?" He smiled as he leaned his head back and looked up at the sky for a moment before scratching his chin and smiling wider as he reached down and took Ashe by the arm, lacing his through hers and standing beside her. "Shall we?"

Ashe giggled and nodded at him, allowing him to lead her where ever he pleased. She smiled cheerfully at him when a random thought struck her. She wasn't quite sure where the idea came from, but now she felt the need to ask him.

"How old are you?" she asked softly, more curious than anything. He seemed rather mature and she wondered if maybe he was older than she was. It wasn't an issue either way, but her curiosity wanted some satisfaction. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He blinked and looked over to the side as she asked that, thinking for a moment. "Twenty-one, why do you ask?" He looked at her with a raised brow and his head turned to the side.

"Hmm... I thought you'd be older than me, that's all," She said simply, smiling again and turning her gaze back to the road in front of them. She held onto him a bit tighter as they walked. Being surrounded by people had always made her nervous after being trained to view everyone and everything as a potential threat. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He looked at her as she turned her gaze to the path infront of them, watching as she held on a bit tighter and felt a bit of hostility coming from her. What over he wasn't sure but he also felt relief so instead he moved his arm from hers and wrapped it around her, holding her while they walked and smiling at her fore a moment before focusing on the path himself.

The silver-haired woman smiled as she felt his arm slide around her. Her anxiety decreased even more as she was held by him. The Echani knew that nothing bad would happen to her in Kharen's presence and she felt completely safe with him next to her. She sighed softly as the tension in her muscles evaporated, no longer feeling on edge. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

"See, thats how you react Dove." He started walking with her and stared forward as he kept a good knowledge of anyone that came more than a foot close to them, listening for the intentions and emotions of those around him so that he and his friend weren't pickpocketed before they found some place to stay, they needed what little money they still had after all and his hands touched down on the arm of his friend as they walked, not paying attention to how it looked and just liking the fact that for once he himself was not alone.

Ashe however had noticed the looks they were getting, mainly the jealous looks from all the single girls they passed. She blushed a bit, but didn't dare let go of Kharen. SHe was beginning to wonder if all there time together over the last few days was leading to anything between them. The echani shrugged at the thought. She didn't know how to deal with emotions like that, so she usually just ignored thoughts like that. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

Kharen glanced down for a moment to look at the girl's face and blinked as he noticed the blush and spoke while he walked, glancing around once and raising a brow. "You seem to be getting some interesting looks dove, is something wrong or are you just a bit embarrassed of the situation." He already knew, he was just being a bit of a smartass as he smiled at her again with his eyes focusing on her for a few moments before looking back up at the path infront of them.

"Oh shut up. I'll kick you in the shin next time you tease me, and trust me that won't feel too pleasant for you," the warrior threatened, grinning a bit to show she wasn't serious. The girl did feel uneasy under all the gazes being cast at her, but she did her best to hide her discomfort. Appearing confident was something she had always been good at. The military and her mother had taught her well. It was a shame that she hated the life of a soldier as much as she did. The Echani had been damn good at it. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

"Go ahead and try it dove, you might go flying into the stars once more if you do it." He smiled as he looked at her confident and his hand reached over to push her hair out of the way before nodding and looking back over at the other side of the path. "You know though, the feelings im getting from them are interesting ones that im kind of curious by..." He smiled as he continued speaking to her and looking fro the expression again.

She almost winced as he turned the topic back the jealous glares being directed at her. She really wished he would let it go, emotions never bothered her anyway. She had no real reason to talk about them, and she had dealt with them enough over the last week anyway. The warrior really wanted a drink at the moment too, but she refrained from trying to find a bar. There was no way Kharen would even let her enter one anyway. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

"Come on, this place should be cheap enough to stay for a while so that we can find some way to deal with the whole money issue." He smiled and turned towards the place, heading in and looking around it before going over to the desk and talking to the man there to set up for a place to stay while he left Ashe to stand there.

Ashe shifted nervously from foot to foot. Kharen had left her alone for a few minutes and she wasn't sure what to do. As she stood there some old Twi'lek woman walking past her smirked and winked, whispering as she passed by the Echani, "That's a good looking man you got over there." Ashe blushed heavily and muttered something about Kharen not being "her man" but the Twi'lek merely smiled more and continued walking. She was so going to punch Kharen for leaving her alone when they got up to whatever room they were staying in. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

[member="Ashe Senari"]

HE smiled as he came back with the cardkey into the room they had been given, his hands infront of him as he smiled and spoke to her. "Looks like we got a room to stay in while i try and get us some money to get a better place to stay as i am sure you don't want to stay here for all of time, Unless i judged miss noble wrong and you would rather live in the slums while you hang out with me my dead Dove." He smiled and pulled her up from where she sat with a smile, pulling her off towards the elevator up to the floor of the apartment building.
