A Meeting Among the Dead

Ashe Senari

"No," Ashe mumbled, shaking her head. Something a out him was so calming and... Perfect. But she wasn't allowed to think like that so soon after losing Yusan. That wasn't right! Kharen was still new to her life, but his empathy made growing close to him a very easy, quick process. She hid her face even more while she tried to think. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

"Push anymore into my shoulder and you might impale me with your own head, and while that would be interesting too see i must say i will pass. What is the matter Dove, im sure its nothing wrong or nothing too bad to deal with, just tell me." He smiled and tried to take her chin up so that he could look at her eyes while they talked, curious as to what she would say about the topic and wondering just what it was she was thinking.

"I can't... I just... I don't know what to say," she practically whimpered, finally looking up at him. She looked confused and a bit upset. Her emotions were conflicting with her mind and she didn't know how to handle that. Ashe didn't know how to handle and comprehend emotions. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He felt her confusion and grief, blinking and looking at her eyes. "Dove, its ok, things will be better im here to help you and you know it, just let me help you andn i will do so." He stared at her face and eyes again, waiting for a response of any kind and seeing what it was that could come out of everything that Ashe seemed to hold in.

Ashe sighed and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down and sort out her emotions. She thought carefully. She didn't love him,it was too soon for that, but she certainly liked having him around. Still, she felt guilty for having an interest in someone so soon after Yusan's death, even if her feelings were never returned. She blushes and cuddled closer, seeking comfort. "I feel bad." "How come, you arent really doing anything too wrong, are you getting sick?" He touched his chin and looked directly at her as she blushed again and cuddled closer. He was not really sure why she was feeling that way but she was curious as to why it was that she was so sullen in that moment.

"I... I guess... I feel guilty? For... Being happy again... And growing close to someone else... So soon after what happened. I'm not entirely sure, emotions aren't really my strong point. I don't understand them," Ashe tried to explain as she moved away from Kharen a bit and looked into his eyes, once again finding herself slowly getting lost in them. The Echani's face was no longer pink, but she still looked upset and confused. She wondered how he could handle being an empath. She didn't even understand her own emotions, how could he handle the emotions of others so easily in addition to his own? Ashe wanted to ask, but couldn't think of a way to voice her question. "Growing close?" He raised a brow at that and stared at her face with a slight smile to his face as he turned his head to her and let his eyes meet hers. "Is there something that you want to explain to me Dove?" His hand moved to start tapping his chin, as if thinking over her words.

Ashe shook her head and turned away. His words made her worry that she had said something wrong or upset him. She bit her lip and shook her head, before getting up and walking to the door. The powerful Echani said nothing, choosing instead to leave and wander aimlessly around the ship. Her feet carried her to the cantina and she settled herself at the bar, ordering a fairly weak drink compared to what she usually got. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He appeared beside her again, grabbing her drink before she could say something and downing it. "So, you didn't answer me..." He was still smiling, his hands tapping infront of him as he pushed the glass back infront of Ashe, now empty. "You don't really have too, but you did leave that conversation off in a very interesting way Dove." He was still shaking alittle, his hand tapping to keep his mind active, but he seemed almost like himself now as he sat there.

"I don't know what else to say..." Ashe whispered as the bartender refilled her glass and she drank it before Kharen could take it from her this time. She rolled the empty glass back and forth between her fingers and waited for him to say something. Ashe was out of things to say, which wasn't unusual for her. She hated talking about how she felt, mostly because she didn't know how too. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

"Hmm... ok then." He smiled and leaned forward onto his hands, looking at the bartender. "Just some water please." His eyes ran over the back of the bar as he waited and spoke to Ashe again. "You know, i can feel what you feel if you want me too, it gets you out of talking though are you sure you would be ok with that, don't need you taking my head off for finding something that is embarrassing you."

"I don't care. Its not like I understand the things I feel anyway," Ashe sighed as she called for a glass of water as well. It was an improvement at least, she was trying to make sure she drank a glass of water for every alcoholic drink she had. It wasn't great, but it was a step in the right direction. She just hoped Kharen wouldn't comment on if. She wasn't sure if she could handle that right now. Fighting wasn't something she wanted to do when they talked. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

"You just have to stop and think, thats all that is important in trying to understand your feelings. After all you said you were Growing feelings no? So you know something about your feelings." He turned his head, it still laying on his hands but his eyes looking at hers now as he said something. "You know, you have cool eyes."

Ashe chugged her glass of water and made sound half way between a growl and a sigh. She slammed her fist down on the bar to get the bartenders attention and ordered another drink, a strong one this time. The warrior was starting to get frustrated trying to sort out the turmoil going on inside her head. She forced herself too take a few deep breaths and calm down before answering.

"Maybe... But what if I'm wrong? I don't know anything about emotions...l or how to function as a normal human being," Ashe replied, not really noticing the compliment.[member="Kharen Promethien"]

"You can start by not drowning yourself Ashe... don't give her another drink please." He said to the Bartender before motion with his head not to come by here again while he would talk to her. "Ashe, you need to calm down, im here to help you and getting angry is not going to get you anywhere. Please just calm down and tell me what it is you are feeling in a primal sense." He wanted to know what was going on in her mind, her thoughts, not the actual words for feelings.

"You're the only person aside from Yusan that I dropped my guard around almost immediately. You're one of the few people I would disobey orders for if I was ever told to harm you... I would go easy on you in a sparring match to avoid hurting you... I don't know to explain!!! Fighting is the only thing I know, and talking about anything else is weird to me... I can't do it... I can't explain... I'm sorry," Ashe growled, flipping off the bartender for listening to Kharen. "I'll pay you double if you ignore my friend. I can probably hurt you pretty badly too if money isn't a good enough incentive." [member="Kharen Promethien"]

[member="Ashe Senari"]

"I apologize for the mess." He smiled to the bartender, his words just hanging in the air before a hand came across and impacted on Ashe's cheek, his eyes brighter. "Opps." He was doing this on purpose, she said she would go easy on him and fighting was the only thing she knew, so he would show her what she knew even if it meant he was going to have to blow everything he had repaying the barkeeper.

Ashe's head snapped to the side, but she remained sitting for a few minutes. The Echani looked hurt. She got up and grabbed him by the front of his shirt, pulling him off his seat and raising her fist to hit him, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Sparring was one thing, but she couldn't bring herself to hit him out of anger. She sighed and practically threw him to the ground. She jumped over the bar, grabbed her favorite kind of alcohol, threw some credits at the bartender, and left Kharen sitting on the ground. She headed back to their room, chugging the contents of the bottle as she went. It was a fairly small bottle and wouldn't kill her, but by the time she reached the room it was empty and she was trashed. She threw the bottle to the side as hard as she could, smiling a bit as it crashed against the wall. A few shards of glass hit her, one cutting her cheek and a few other catching her arm. She sighed and knelt down, picking up the shards and tossing them in the trash. [member="Kharen Promethien"]

He blinked as she didn't hit him, surprised as he sat there and blinked, looking at the Barkeeper who was just staring at this point. With that thought he turned and tended to his customers, Kharen hearing a crash echo though the halls and his sigh escaped him. "Great." He pushed himself up and followed her. Maybe he didn't know her as best he thought he did, having though she wwould respond by punching him back which was what he expected and wanted. Once he was back to the room he saw the cuts and looked at her with wide eyes. "Ashe..." He kneeled down, gingerly trying to touch her cheek that wasn't cut. "Sorry, i was just trying to get you to snap out of it..."
