A meeting of minds

People could accuse Asaraa of being many things, but unobservant wasn't one of them. The woman glanced over at her new friend, one brow arched up at him, "Nice...but maybe not too nice?"

"Ohhh," Asaraa looked around at the soldiers milling around the barracks a mite more nervously before she glanced back at Silence raising one of her hands. "I promise to be on my best behaviour."

The togruta glanced around and smiled, "I'm pretty sure they'll all know to keep their grenades to themselves," she assured him, she really wasn't trying to cause a fight, not while she was on a diplomatic mission.

This was the second time the man had made a comment like that and Asaraa couldn't restrain her curiosity any longer. The young woman glanced around cautiously before sidling closer to the trooper, her voice cast low enough to avoid eavesdroppers, "Do you wanna talk about it?"

[member="Silence"]

Asaraa looked around at the other soldiers scattered around the barracks as she shifted over to sit next to Silence on his bunk, offering the man a smile. "You've fed me, saved my life and gave me a drink, listening is the least I can do."

silence sighs before typing"when i first joined i was ordered to go to a village it was a normal sweep to check for rebels but then...my superior got hit with a rock someone threw he told me to execute the man and as i said...i follow orders my superior wasn't happy enough so he told me to kill the family so i did as for the scar on my left eye its from a scrap with fellow troops i got in the burn is from when i joined "silence looked down sadly remembering the whole ordeal

Asaraa Vaashe

Asaraa could feel the earlier jovial mood slipping away from her, like a wave ebbing from the shore. Hesitantly the young woman reached out to rest her hand on [member="Silence"]'s shoulder, her hands closing softly as she squeezed his shoulder. "Doesn't sound like it's been particularly easy," the woman allowed, "and it's obviously eating at you. Is there no-one you talk to about this, soldiers shouldn't be killing civilians like that. It's our job to protect them, not hurt them."

The Togruta could only stare at her new friend in confusion, "Waait, if you don't like them then why not leave umm, request a transfer out of the squad or something." She stared around with suspicion, her blue eyes narrowed with suspicion, "It doesn't sound like this is the greatest of places for you."

[member="Silence"]

Asaraa shook her head, sympathy dancing across her eyes as her Lekku brushed across her shoulders. "If your superiors hate you...and you hate your squad...what're you still doing here?"
