A singular trial of Competency.

"I believe so but I have as of yet gotten the chance to test out that theory, if it is then I believe we have both stumbled upon frost shaping." Erebos said, his tone showing his impression of [member="Dar Moraal"] was improving in his eyes. A capable warrior and a scholars mind as well, quite the interesting blend indeed. Though Erebos was more of a scholar now he had been raised as an assassin so he had his roots in the hidden warriors way, roots he soon intended to go back to and master.
With a bang against the pilots side of the drop ship, the bay doors closed and the engines roared to full life as the bay shook while the ship took off into the cold void of space and headed for the drop point bellow.

Dar was proud of the tone with which his master answered his question. With pride Dar made a short attempt at humour "Well that said I am sure we will see enough frost down there for several lifetimes." He filled with anticipation as the ship left the ship and began its descent towards the planet. It would be good to get more expierience under his belt after all. What good is power and knowledge if you don't use it to the best of your ability? Tightening his grip on his saber hilts he thought of the challenges he may face on the surface if there is to be any. Of course however the opportunity to see such an old object was exciting on it's own. If his helmet could grin it would be.

Erebos had to remain silent as he focused his sigh in the force as they approached the planet bellow more and more as the moments passed, it was so saturated in the force yet it wasn't a force nexus but none the less it was a lot more saturated in the force than most of the planets Erebos had come to over the course of his life. Then without apparent warning the drop ship touched down and the bay doors opened.
The expression when the seven hell's freeze over came to Erebos's mind as the harsh, gnawing and ripping winds rushed into the bay and immediately tried to freeze them in place. Glad for the frost and cold protection his gear provided him, he began to walk forwards into the frozen wasteland before them.

"Chit..." Erebos muttered to himself as he looked around and then pointed towards what to him was the eye of the storm that had swept over the area as they had come in for a landing. "There is were we need to head but this storm will make it difficult to find the right underground crevice we need to enter." His voice had been ripped from his throat if his mask didn't have the annunciator built into it as it was set to the highest setting possible and he still had to yell to be heard over the howling winds. "Focus the force into your body build a protective layer around your skin so the cold won't get into your body as quickly as it would otherwise." Erebos then shouted into the winds as he tried to teach [member="Dar Moraal"], Tapas as it was the perfect opportunity for it given the situation.
Before them was a large canyon that the winds seemed to run through it and amplify when they combined as they ran rampant through the canyon valley.

The thought of the force anything touching his suit was enough for Dar to tense. However the fact that what was left of his eyelids were freezing shut out weighed the risks. Quickly gathering some energy he tried to do as his master said. He wasn't 100% sure how long it took but he had a thin layer of what he believed was called Tapas. With his suit and his primitive layer he felt FREEZING. But less freezing than before. For now at least. For all he knew this only lasted 15 seconds. Turning to his master he yelled at the top of his damaged lungs "Master! How far are we from the site?!" No one is crazy enough to want to stay in this place for long.

Pointing ahead he shouted through the wind. "It's there 50 meters ahead and there should be the crevice that leads us down to the station!" He shouted and began to walk forwards, taking the brunt of the wind against himself and extending a small level of a telekinetic shield to help [member="Dar Moraal"] get through the frost better. Erebos was beginning to see Dar as a worthy successor even if they'd both live to old age, Erebos would outlive him by a century or two but Dar could train his own successor and pour everything Erebos had taught him into his own pupil and so on and so forth.
That way Erebos could see if he did something wrong in the original training or if the siths produced in this rule of two like manner would actually grow to become just as powerful as the original ones did. As Erebos walked as the spearhead to cleave through the wind he began to scan forwards for the crevice they'd need to enter but at their speed it would take a little time to reach it as the wind seemed to be picking up a little.

As his master moved forward Dar followed. "Master what do you expect to find there?!" This was why Dar was truly excited. The anticipation of what they may find was killing him. Technically his complete lack of a self functioning body was killing him but the point remains the same. He clamped his cloak tighter around himself. This wind was very "inconvenient" to put it mildly. This only added to his desire to reach the crevice. He could see why the Jedi stopped coming here. Well mostly. After all Dar was pretty sure there were companies now that can create synthetic saber crystals. That's besides the point. This so far was an enjoyable venture. After all while the Jedi sit all day and look for Peace the Sith were challenging themselves. Their little republic couldn't even hold on to their capital. Pathetic.

"Objects of power from the old sith republic cold war four thousand years ago!" Erebos answered as they walked through the howling and clawing winds before he gripped [member="Dar Moraal"]'s shoulder and pointed towards a barely visible crevice in the wall of the canoyon they had been walking through. "Over there!" He shouted through the winds and began to move there himself to get to some cover from the cold winds of Illum.
Panting a little as he moved into the crevice he felt the ice already around the edge of his robes as he looked back towards his apprentice when he was sure he was far enough inside the crevice so the wind wouldn't be trying to rip them out of it. With a small wave of his hand he created a very warm flame to heat both of them up to a comfortable feeling before the spoke again. "Now you make the fire that shall light your way through this crevice as we try to reach the buried station." Erebos began but then looked deeper into the crevice as he could hear a howl emanating from very deeper inside the crevices labyrinthine corridors. "We might not be alone down here... be careful."

Apon hearing the beastial noise Dar eagerly gripped his saber hilts. Realising what he was doing he quickly let go and acknowledged his master. "Of course" After a brief moment of intense concentration he had a smallish spark in his hand. What it lacked in size it made up in luminance apparently. Curious Dar peered over the crevice and searched through it with the force. He was sure there was something down there. To his disappointment he was unable to ascertain what it was. Or where it was. It was concerning to say the least. "Master I am sad to admit my knowledge of this planet's fauna is... rudimentary at best. Maybe before I kill it I can ask it politely what species it is." At this he awaited his master's move.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

"There are only two species I know of on Illum that would pose any threat to us. An Asharl panther and a Gorgodon, that latter beast is something I would rather not meet in such a confined space." He said before he began to walk forwards, he didn't need the light from [member="Dar Moraal"]'s flame but having him concentrate on maintaining the flame was also good practice in the skill. "Be careful to not loose your footing." The floor was slippery and treacherous as they made their way down into the labyrinthine caverns, to mark their trail Erebos used fire under his feet not only to get a better foot hold but to leave breadcrumbs of sorts so they knew which way to go back.

Dar was pleased as his master used the fire manipulation in such a resourceful way. He'll learn much from him. Dar followed his master dutifully though he was also useing the force to attempt to locate any possible threats. No such thing as too much caution. After all many a overconfident sith has died in such a humiliating manner. With that thought in his mind Dar vowed on the spot never to be one of those sith. These tunnels were very intriguing. Whenever Dar walked into such a ancient and interesting place he always had a sense of belonging. It was addicting. Dar began to look around for signs of anything of worth. Not monetary worth of course. Worth of a more substantial kind.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

The journey through the tunnels was a mish mash of winding corridors, treacherous icy paths and twisting slides of ice. Having to be careful of his steps and were he walked made the journey a little longer than he'd liked, taking them an hour to reach the entrance to the fallen space station, however at this point Erebos asked [member="Dar Moraal"] to stop.
"We better rest here for a time, we can't be sure if the droids of this station are still active or if the beast we heard has taken up residence inside." He said as he sat down on the opened airlock door and let out a heavy sigh, the cold was making his body heavy and he now had to actively focus on keeping himself warm with Tapas even creating a small flame of plasma to keep both of them warm as well. There was something off about the relatively uneventful trip through the labyrinthine cave system and the more Erebos tapped into the force to warm himself up the more he felt it.
There was something here, ancient and powerful in the force, oozing with terrible malice and viciousness.

Dar felt a presence. Dark and malign. With that worrying thought in his head he obliged and sat down in a meditative position. In order to warm himself he took the time to rebuild his tapas barrier and he willed a stronger flame. Looking up at his master Dar said "Let the beast come. After all a good blade needs to be sharpened." He wasn't as concerned with the droids. Unless they were anything like the one his master gifted to him. Of course then he wasn't useing the force to combat them. This unknown situation unerved him. He was used to knowing what to expect and having at least five plans for it. The unknown factor alone was enough to make him extremely wary. With these worried thoughts he gripped his saber hilt and peered ahead. This was certainly going to be intriguing.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

"Of course a blade needs sharpening but also the body and mind that wields it as well." Erebos said with an amused tone in his voice while he looked towards [member="Dar Moraal"] and then deeper into the stations depths. He waited only enough time to fully construct his own Tapas barrier again and to get some much needed warmth into his body as he then flicked his wrist to kill the flame he had made and stood up. "I believe we shouldn't keep the beasties waiting shall we?" He said in good humor as he began to walk into the station, still leaving behind a trail so they could know how to get back.
He was certain that he could reach the inner chamber given that Dar was with him, droids had the annoying habit of looking like background noise to his sight and having someone with physical eyes really helped in that front.

Dar eagerly got up and followed his master. After a moment he said "I'm sure the creatures have waited for dinner long enough." Of course he'd doubt they'll even get an appetizer in. With caution in mind (or paranoia) his eyes darted around behind his visor searching for any thing that may even resemble a threat. He hated surprises. Glancing around he was glad he chose this over more practice. This was much more fun and beneficial. The thought though of an actual threat to combat was very enticing.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

At that Erebos began to chuckle quite a bit as he looked towards [member="Dar Moraal"] and then whipped his wrist forwards, sending Dar flying forwards through an ice wall with a telekinetic barrier around him to keep him from harm. Behind that wall however was a newly woken up Ashal panther that began to snarl at Dar as it bared it's fangs and claws. "Now remember my apprentice, Don't become dinner now." Erebos said as he waved Dar through the hole he had made with Dar.
He would allow Dar to fight this panther on his own but he was ready to step in if things got rather out of hand but for now he would trust his apprentice could handle the panther on his own. Granted he felt it was a little sudden to spring the panther on him but then again what his apprentice lacked was hardened battle experience using the force and everything Erebos had taught him up until now.

Well he never thought he'd be cat food when he came down the crevice. Of course he was sure the cat would choke on him. Dar would make sure of it. Quickly he got up and pulled out his saber. Taking the offensive he roared weilding his saber high. Using a feint he attempted to divert its attention to the left but at almost blinding speeds he spun the saber around to strike the right. Taking what he learned from his master he incorporated a little of each style he learned into his stance. Preparing at a moment's notice to leap in any direction needed.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

The panther snarled as it moved out of the way form the feint and then got cut in it's cheek with the real strike but that seemed to only enrage it as it swiped with it's claws after [member="Dar Moraal"] and then lept after him. It's claws and fangs bared to sink into the interlopers weird skin.

While Erebos simply leaned against the wall and seemed to be watching with interest, he was in fact only half paying attention. The other half of his attention was directed in his expanding awareness as he explored most of the station with his own force energy, saturating it in the process so he could see it better.

Dar was pleased as his faint suceeded however once the creature's claws sunk into his thigh was infuriated. Leaping a few feet away Dar switched his saber out for the saber staff. Seeing as this beast was well only a beast he whirled his saberstaff in wide arcs hoping to back the creature off into a corner. To encourage this he also to the best of his rudimentary understanding shot sparks of flame from his hand. Predators back down from bigger more dominant predators. It is the way of the universe. The strong dominate and control the weak. Of course those that can't be controlled must be played and eliminated.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

The panther roared, snarled and growled in intimidation attempts but once the saber staff came out and the sparks began to fly towards it, it began to back away. [member="Dar Moraal"] succeeded in corralling it into a corner where it hissed and growled but it was clearly beginning to become more submissive towards him than before.

Now Erebos's interest was piqued. "If you wish for a pet, extend your mind to the panthers own.... If not simply kill it or let it go." He said as he leaned a little forwards to get a better look at what Dar would eventually decide upon.

Dar tilted his head at his master's words. Extend his mind...? He has heard of it yet he has never seen it be done before. Moving his saber more to the side he whirled it with an increased intensity. The advantages of such a servant of course is nothing to shrug off. After all possible assets are never to be wasted. Not until they've lost their usefulness of course. With vigor he slowly approached while feeling the force. Taking the force he imagined a spear to pierce the creatures mind. With a concentrated grunt he sent the energy at the creature. Not quite sure if it worked he raised his saber toward it. "Well master I don't know about dinner but maybe we can get the creature some dessert?"
