A singular trial of Competency.

The creature moved it's head to the side as if trying to shrug something off it's mind before it lay down and seemed docile towards [member="Dar Moraal"].

"What do you mean my apprentice?" Erebos said as he moved into the small off shot chamber Dar had been fighting the panther in. 'Hmm it seems a little malnourished and given that it was afraid and woozy from waking up so recently... He shows promise in the beast taming skills as well.' Erebos thought as he came up to stand next to Dar.

"Well I mean maybe deeper in these tunnels we may run across something more appetising to the creature. After all I much prefer it devouring my enemies than myself." Turning to the creature he thought about it's limits. Sadly he wasn't as up to date on these creatures species and has no knowledge of the creatures limitations. If it didn't meet his master's expectations it will be discarded. If it didn't meet Dar's expectations it may be more suited as a wall decoration. After all his quarters in his ship are a tad bit bare.

Erebos simply nodded then. "If that is what you wish to do then you can. If it isn't up to snuff then at least we could use it as bait or a diversion." Erebos said as he almost chuckled and then began to walk back towards the corridor he had originally thrown [member="Dar Moraal"] through. "I think we should continue on, now that the little test has concluded." He said as he stepped through the hole and looked down the corridor they would then continue down.

Dar followed his master and the panther followed his. "Master how big is this place?" He didn't want to be trapped down here. Of course with the force he can never be truly lost or trapped anywhere. Turning to the old corridor Dar thought it best to use his panther as a test of sorts. If the creature was attacked or damaged in any way they'd know to be careful. If it was competant enough not to walk into danger then it may very well be a useful asset to Dar's repetoire. With a wave he gestured to the creature he wished it to proceed.

Erebos thought for a moment. "I believe it is at least 3 metric kilometers from one end to the other." He said as he then nodded approvingly to [member="Dar Moraal"] for his decision to use the panther as bait down the corridor. He felt they were getting close but the oppressive feeling of unease was getting to him. There was definitely something here that was angry and it was now clear to Erebos that dealing with whatever it was would be unavoidable now.

Dar felt something. He couldn't pinpoit nor could he decipher it purpose. Cautiously he gripped his saber tighter and increased the intensity of his flame. This lack of information was unnerving. "Master besides any predators are we alone in this place?" Whoever it was would die if Dar had his way. Somehow he doubted it would like the idea of being tamed. Of course the only alternative to that to elimination which will be swift and efficient. Or bloody. Dar quickened his pace to keep up with his master. Peering expectanly for any insight.

Erebos stopped and looked towards [member="Dar Moraal"] and allowed him to approach closer so he wouldn't fall behind. "I'm sure off it actually. We aren't alone but I'm not sure what this presence is..." He said as he looked towards the Panther that was a few paces ahead of them.
Then it happened, too fast for Erebos to react efficiently in time. The floor under the panther opened up and the crack moved lightning fast to spread and be under the two of them. As he fell he looked down and saw that the corridor they had been in was the outer corridor with any entrance deeper into the station being bellow them, the panther had stepped on a weak spot in the ice floor which had shattered it. What mattered now was the fact they were falling down what looked to be a kilometer long corridor straight down.
With an outstretched mind he found a ledge that would hold one of them and decided that he was better equipped to stop himself the farther he fell rather than Dar would. With complex movements of his hands he slowed his apprentice down and guided him in the air enough so that when he landed on the ledge it would be a hard fall but he would survive it easily without injury. After that the last his apprentice would see of his would be his silhouette plunging farther down into the darkness of the vertical corridor.

Dar was shocked. It seemed to only take a second. Dar peered down the shaft at the rapidly fading image of his master. Quickly looking around with the force he observed his surroundings. Finding no immediate threat he began to ponder [member="Darth Erebos"] actions. He doubted his master saved him from the bottom of his heart there must have been a purpose. Saving that thought for later he walked away from the ledge and questioned his next move. He most certainly can't stay here. After all what would be the gain? The thought of the artifacts down here all un-claimed. If his master survived -he was sure of it- then they'd both have more to learn. If he didn't then Dar would happily claim the treasures of this place before seeking a new tutor in the power of the dark side.

As Erebos fell he focused his energy into himself and built a barrier of energy around himself as the rapidly approaching end came closer and closer until it was met with the barrier. The resulting impact sent light quakes into his immediate surroundings but he could feel that the landing had taken quite a bit out of him and he felt a little woozy. He spent a few moments looking around before he raised his hand and opened his palm to create a larger ball of flame to at least show [member="Dar Moraal"] he was still alive but then came the roar, followed by an impact to his head that knocked him out as he was about to turn around to see what the roar belonged to.

The area around Dar was, if he took a closer look, an open hatch door that had been frozen by the millenniums of cold with the passage it was supposed to close, closed off by a thick wall of ice.

Not noticing his masters flame Dar approached the ancient door. Not sure how to proceed he saw this as an opportunity to practice his fire manipulation. Sitting in a meditative stance he began to concentrate on the force and the air in front of him. Focusing through the air to the door he attempted to melt the ice off of his exit. With his other hand his grabbed one of his sabers and drived it into the hatch. Either it would be cut open or melted. Which ever came first Dar didn't care. Just as he began he heard what sounded like more beasts from down the shaft. He was sure his master would survive whatever challenges awaited him down there. After all if he had the presence of mind to save his apprentice then surely he would have a plan for the fall. Dar almost felt sorry for whatever predator was down there.

The door was melted through and within was the old storage compartment of the station. Boxes and containers were strewn about, frozen in place, Event he bodies of the ones who couldn't make it out when the station crashed were frozen in place. It would be a hard climb but the way out was to descend down into the boxes bellow.

Dar was intrigued by the sight he was greeted with. However he decided that surviving was more important than zealously looting anything here. Using the force to guide him he began the long arduous climb he was sure this was going to be. The promises of power here though was ever present in his mind. Maybe he would have time to investigate the place and claim whatever relics he found. After he has located a safe exit route of course. You never know.

The deeper [member="Dar Moraal"] climbed into the storage room the more difficult the hand grips and ledges needed to climb became. The ice was all encroaching and encompassing over the crates and objects inside it. A small arachnid like creature curiously clambered around one of the crates and stared at Dar as he climbed before sneaking into a small crack in the wall. Bellow Dar was a large elongated crate that had crashed into the door leading out and was half through the opening it had made but the entrance into the crate was mangled beyond repair.

Dar curiously glanced at the small creature as it scurried away. Satisfied for now he turned to glare at the large crate. Using the force Dar attempts to grab the crate with the force and drag it out of the exit. Dar wouldn't want to waste time. After all if there were such creatures here then there is the possibility of a much larger predator roaming around. That chance alone was disturbing. Of course any creature down here is inferior to the dark side. Everything is.
[member="Darth Erebos"]

As [member="Dar Moraal"] pulled on the crate out of the exit, the other crates around began to shake and shudder and more than a few of those small arachnid like creatures scurried from their hiding holes away from the shaking crate and all headed upwards. One final jerk more and the crate came loose but as it did other crates moved around and pinned it down but leaving an opening just big enough to leave the storage room relatively unscathed. However a loud Roar could be heard as Dar left the opening and before him was a "T" intersection with one going left and the other right. The sound of the bestial roar couldn't be distinguished very well but it had come from the right.

As Dar heard the roar he quickly ran to the left and sprinted as fast as the force could carry him. However the age of the place came to mind. Such an ancient place must have some weak areas in its structure. Thinking to take advantage of this he attempted to grip the ceiling and collapse it behind him. Or at least slow down whatever was down the right. It was not however a cowardly decision that led him to go left. It was a pragmatic one. His survival was top priority at the moment.

As the ceiling came down the station shook with it's impact and the very floor seemed close to unraveling beneath [member="Dar Moraal"]. Before him came another large downwards shaft but this one was more angled which would allow for not only an easier decent but also an ascent up through the station. The corridor was littered with small pathway's up and down it making it look like a large intricate web the further he went down it.

Several meters bellow.
Drip, drip, drip. The sound of droplets of water hitting his mask woke Erebos up as he lay in a large chamber. As he moved the sound of chains made him stop and he opened his eyes in the force. The area was saturated with so much force energy he almost had to close his "eyes" again. He was bound bellow a large obelisk on top of which he could see a holocron perched in place. 'So there you are.' He thought before he looked to the side. If he could his eyes would have gone wide right then and there. In the corner of the chamber was what must have been a Gorgodon before but he was proficient enough in sith alchemy to see the handy work that created a sithspawn when he saw it.

Sprinting towards the shaft Dar glanced back at him. Satisfied with what he say he launched himself up the shaft heading upward as fast as he could. While running he looked for a breeze. Or anything that could mean a possible exit. Using the force to spark a new flame in his palm he also listened for anything that could be a threat to him. If it made the mistake of messing with him Dar was confident in his prowess. At least against most conventional threats. Or is that just overconfidence talking?
[member="Darth Erebos"]

A few growls could be heard from bellow as two snow panthers made their way to the base of the shaft and began to at least so it seemed to sniff him out. Then two growling roars could be heard under him as the panthers began to scale the tunnel to find [member="Dar Moraal"].

(Sorry for the late reply been hectic on my end for a few weeks)

The best was thankfully occupied with the corpse of a panther to pay any attention to him and he began to focus his power into the chains to release himself. Then he stopped as he saw a force apparition, who ever it was it was a robed figure but it wasn't Darth Malgus, he assumed it was someone who had followed Malgus. "Who are you? Pretender to the true sith?" The apparition asked Erebos who didn't say anything in return instead he focused his power all around him, heating up the air around him as he tugged on the chains more. "You will answer my questions, you sith pretender." The apparition said as it sent out a painful blast of force lightning into Erebos's body.

Dar then realized what he was doing. Running was not the sith way! He'd confront whatever was behind him but with a little tact. Stopping - he spins around on his heels. As soon as the creatures rear their heads into view he pushes them with enough force to keep them stunned. Then with a rage-filled scream, Dar activates his saber with a flurry and lunges at them. Using the techniques his master taught him, Dar holds off one of the panthers with his fire and relentlessly attacks the other. Dar's rage and hatred guides him towards victory.
