Act III: Insurrection

REBEL - ALLEYWAY

He let himself get dragged away. Something tingled along the length of his spine and when he glanced over his shoulder, the spot they had been in just became a hole in a ground. It was good they had been moving or else they'd be dead on the ground. "Kara Avoyos." He said when they had made it around another corner, he halted their progress and he took her hand away from his collar. "Where are the rest of your Templars?" He questioned. There had to be other Jedi upon the planet, and he knew it, but there would be another time for them to figure out where they were, they had to find some place safe to be. Underground, or in a warehouse maybe.

There were buildings along the road, and he pressed his shoulder into one and smashed through it. He came back out and pulled her in behind him and shut the door behind the both of them. It was dark in the room, though he used the Force to maneuver his way through any furniture that was upon the ground. He took his comlink out and he spoke into it. It was good to hear a Councillor's voice. "Jedi Councillor." He spoke silently. "This is Jedi Knight Antares Windu. Where are you? I am with a..." He was quiet for a moment. "With a friend. I await your orders." And he waited for the Jedi Master's response.

OUTSIDE THE TUNNELS AND BY THE STREET

@TiCira D'Arr Hawk @Racket @[member="Mandalore the Insurgent"] --- ANY OTHER WANDERER IN THE STREET!

Toy? The womprat wasn't a toy.

She received no pleasure in what she did. It just had to be done. Ti'Cira could feel the weary presence of Mandalore at her back, her bloody hand still extended, the might of the Force choking the life out of the seemingly Kursed RacMeer. She had intended on pummeling Racket on the ground for a quick end - he was small after all -- until the faint squawking guttural words came from his blackened mouth.

Vibrant golden eyes reminiscent of the twin suns of Tatooine narrowed upon the RacMeer. Without further ado, her vice grip with the Force on him relaxed. In hindsight, she should have probably done it less than eight feet in the air.

Kursed generally did not deny they were cursed. They simply attacked, calling the resistance traitors with cries for the glory of Akala. He was lucky.

Her crimson tinged arm fell to her side, the dark ragged cloak she wore fluttering by her dusty boots. Her attention drew to Mandalore, her expression cold but weary.

"Then come," came her only reply to the RacMeer she'd nearly would have killed without a second thought. One didn't argue when finding others who weren't kursed. Their numbers were few and far between.

And to be frank, whether Ti'Cira killed him or Akala's minions, they were all going to die one way or another anyways. It was not a matter of if.

But when.

Her weathered face then drew towards Mandalore, torso twisting to face him, "There are more out there," she said simply, her eyes dark. As Mandalore had ordered, they needed to get back to base, but if there were more out there...

REBELS- Incoming!
A flash of light in the sky, then a trail of fire streaked across the sky. Within the ball of flame was a man, more machine than man, but still a man. Nyos was plummeting to the ground of Mandalore. He felt the heat of the fire around him, he was aroused from unconsciousness to find himself in free-fall. Rolling in the air to face the ground, Nyos' limbs began to absorb the energy around him in the fire. Anyone who looked up would see a fireball with every color in the spectrum flashing into another as the being fell. Just before he hit the ground, Nyos activated a pair of repulsors he had attached to his metal legs. He still came in hard, smashing a crater into the ground near some gathered fighters of some sort. Blaster fire could be heard all over the city.

Nyos dug himself out of the hole, brushing rubble off himself. His limbs fading from color back to the natural silver/grey of his metal arms. He didn't have any armor on nor did he have his signature mask. he had on a battle suit under garments and his vibrosabre left intact from the fall. He made sure the saber was in working order, finding just a few scratches and scorch marks.

Nyos moved to the group, hoping to find allies and not enemies.

Anyone got a spare jacket or something?

”Where are the rest of your Templars?”

“They are heading towards the tunnels.” Kara had been half-listening to her comm since waking up, but up until now she’d more or less been confined to running in the general direction of where she ultimately needed to go, while doing her best not to die. A direct route would have made it too easy for whoever was doing the shooting to predict her path, so vague directions had been the backup plan.

Friend. Was Windu ashamed to be hanging out with a Templar? Kara was wereing her obvious green Templar armor, so it wasn’t like the Councilor wouldn’t be able to guess her force affiliation on sight. “We can’t really wait,” The blonde pointed out as she ignited her lightsaber. “People are trying to kill us.”

-REBELS, TUNNEL THAT NOBODY ELSE IS AT.

He pocketed his comlink and then he turned to look at her. He was just staring at her in the dark before his hand snapped forward and grabbed her arm again. It was as if he was waiting for osmething before he darted across the room, just as the roof collapsed where they were and crashed into a wall with her.

They were in the corner of the room, in a bit of a mess on the floor. This would not due. "My apologies Kara." He said and he pulled her up and drew out his lightsaber. He saw what little there was coming inside from underneath the doorway, and with the aide of the Force his foot smashed into the door and it opened.

Together they started to run down the alleyways until they found an entrance to a tunnel. "Let us hope our friends are in here Kara." He said and he ignited the blue lightsaber beam and walked into the depths below.

TOWER - REBELS

Sabers flew with a furious rage, yet each strike was precise, intending to hit at certain points upon Alen's body. Each strike found it's mark, some parried away, some striking exactly where they needed to strike. He knew Na'Varro would be able to keep up, such was his style. Ket could feel him controlling his own pain, and fleetingly thought to himself that it was a weakness he could exploit. Yet, just as he could see the opening, a voice rang out within his mind, it's tone clear and commanding, the sincerity of such causing a moment of lapse within the Sith.

‘Come with me, or this place will be your grave. Move!’

Ket canted his head just a bit at the words, when he saw that his lapse in concentration allowed Na'Varro to not only block his last strike, but to step into his guard and bypass it almost completely. Ket knew what was coming next, it was Na'Varro's downfall that he was always so predictable. Ket had not the time needed to properly block the Force Shield, but enough it sent him sprawling through the air, slamming into a wall almost 10 meters behind him. Only his own connection to the Force allowed him to survive such an attack while blindsided. Yet, the voice continued.

Swiftly, into the tunnels!’

Ket had no idea to whom it belonged, but he was not so thickheaded as to not heed it's warning, especially in a situation as odd and perplexing as the one they all found themselves in. Raising up from the newly created drubble and dust, he deignited both of his sabers, clipping them to his belt. "We shall continue this another time, Na'Varro. I sense there are greater forces at work than pure entropy." Taking a step forward, he closed his eyes and concentrated on nothing but the Force itself. Pure, unhindered, untainted by the light or dark. Within this connection, he seemingly melted into the shadows of the building behind him, leaving nothing but stale air within his wake...

Shadow Walk transfers the matter of a person and those touching them from one shadow to another. Must be in an area of shadowy illumination. A darkened corner, alley, even the shadow of another sentient would work. The effect is largely illusory, but the path is quasi-real. With Mastery over the Force, one can take more than one sentient, but all must be touching each other in order for it to work properly. This can be used to travel rapidly by stepping onto the plane of shadow using the Force, moving the desired distance through its shadowy currents, and then stepping back and reappearing onto the material plane. This power has been listed in Ket's bio.

OUTSIDE THE TUNNELS & NEAR THE STREET

Ti'Cira Hawk...blood to his mate, Curupira. He could scarcely believe it, as he'd not seen her in ages. There she stood at the entrance to the tunnels, seemingly holding RacMeer within her grasp through her mastery of the Force. He squawked lightly, and she dropped him from mid-air as she turned to face Mandalore. "There are more out there,". And as he emerged from the shadows, he replied to her statement with one of his own.

"Many more, Ti'Cira. They will soon find there way here, if they are smart to heed the call."

Mandalore knew what she wanted to do. He also knew it was far too risky. "The scouts reported in, Ti; the fire is near Mandalmotors Tower. That's far too deep into enemy territory for us to get any help to them. We'd lose more than we gained." For once, the man actually sounded upset by this revelation. He wanted to help, but he simply couldn't justify it.

Especially not with their dwindling resources.

Still, when one appeared at the entrance to the tunnel some meters away, well, a ripper pistol was up and pointed at the man in an instant. But he wasn't spouting obscenities. He wasn't screaming about traitors needing to be purged.

He was clean.

Lowering the weapon, Mandalore shook his head. "We can't be here. Not now. We were already deep in the tunnels, but Hawk here decided to stop the furrball. Now is not the time to overextend ourselves. So we're leaving." The helmeted head shifted to regard TiCira coldly. "Now."

That wasn't a suggestion.

Without another word he turned on his heel and disappeared into the darkness. Far from the four assembled, someone blasted a crater into the ground. Shaking his head as he descended further and further, he began becoming increasingly agitated by the fact that things were getting out of control. This wasn't the plan; none of this was as planned.

He only hoped his anger wasn't going to affect Mal in some way. Ti'Cira was already angry, so at least he was spared that particular problem cropping up. But if anyone tried to follow them... well, they'd find themselves lost in a maze of tunnels that never ended. Without a guide, no one entered the warrens and got out alive.

REBELS-STREETS

Her eyes grew wide when her name was shouted from behind her. She turned to see that it was Tallia, hmm this was getting crazier and crazier. She quickly spoke to the woman, "Jedi Knight Tallia? Your okay, that's good. No, no we haven't any idea where we are or why were here." She said in response to her question, then she felt a tingle in her spine, she quickly turned around and saw their adversary approaching them quickly. He was coming in for another attack. She spun around with her lightsaber at the ready. Reverting back to her Ataru and Shien mix, she jumped some feet off the ground, and spun in the air, coming down with her lightsaber to block his attack. Locking blades with the man she knew well, then she quickly disengaged, taking a step back away from the conflict. She turned to see now they were accompanied by Drake, and Tallia as reinforcements, but he didn't seem to be homing in on the others, was he personally coming for Rasu and Ru? It seemed that way.

Zius pressed on, wanting to ignore the stranger that followed at his side almost like a shadow at this point.

"Good, then get lost or help me fight."

Suddenly, it would seem as if the galaxy had granted the corrupt individual another chance to keep him just a moment shy from death's grasp. He had picked up life forms on his radar all located beneath the streets it would seem, but where? He peered around, searching for a way down. Feth. Where to go? This was becoming much more infuriating than confusing or eerie. He then turned his head toward the masked man.

"C'mon dammit, I want out of these streets and off this planet. I've no business with the Mandalorians, and I don't need more bounties on my head."
Now to get to those tunnels...

@[member="Andreas Wintergreen"] @Kara Avoyos @Carn Dista

Zius accessed his comm link once again after several attempts to send out a message to get in touch with whoever else was out there listening and didn't shoot on-sight.

@All Rebels who have a comm

"Does anyone read me? This is Zius Aurus of the Templars, requesting position to fall back to."

Hope was a four letter word that could only stretch so far, and usually Zius was the one taking hope away from his victims.

Kallion was on Mandalore, he didn't know why he was there but he knew he had to run and get help, or at least find someone to tell him what is going on. A blaster interrupted his thoughts though "wait, who was that." Kallion realized his question would never be answered, but instead he had to move. He ran from the blaster, he hoped he would find someone to help him, jumping over some debris before running some more, it's not that he was afraid, he just didn't want to wast this clone "where is everybody?" even though he knew that asking why nobody was here wouldn't make anybody appear he kept asking the question.

“She controls the Kursed by means of the Force. The exact means by which she does this is unknown, but contact is essential between her agents and the Kursed. However it is spread, the Kursed are under the complete Dominion of Her…and the General.”
Melantha waited for any other questions, and for Mandalore to arrive with Ti’Cira. Only then could they really begin.

Unconscious for a long time, Penumbra awoke to sheer chaos. Why was he on Mandalore? This couldnt be good. How did he get here? But...familiarity could be felt nearby. Calling out in response to the feelings brought through the force, as well to the broadcasted cry, he said into his comlink, "Aid is on the way."

He knew Auxiliary 1. It was Keter, his sisters husband. Moving like lightning he raced past blaster fire, and war zones as he neared the signature to his brother-in-law. Afterward, they would aid the other.

Andreas shook his head at the comment directed at him. Ah, the young and fierce. No respect for their elders. On looks alone, Andreas guessed himself to be at least twice his age. In all sincerity, Andreas could remember a few occasions he had to work with the dark, brooding loner type. 'You'll just get in my way' and 'Just don't slow me down' were among phrases commonly used by these types and were soon followed up by a squeal or a type of gargly noise once they got themselves killed.
He didn't know why he expected anything different, really. The guy was dressed in all black in the middle of the day.

He continued silently until he saw the man bend down to retrieve a casualty.
"Unless you know the way to a medic, I suggest leaving him"
He said as he instinctively grabbed a hold of his disruptor rifle and walked slightly ahead of him, giving him cover just in case.

Seemingly from nowhere, came a hail of 4 explosive tipped arrows. None aimed strictly for the master, rather in her generally vicinity. Just before they would touch down, Hood jammed down the detenator. In sequence, they all blew. But whether they struck or not, this was the question.

"FOR AKALA!!" He roared as he notched another 3 arrows, standard durasteel tips, and loosed them. As they neared the smokey after effect of his grenades, he reached out with his mind. The center arrow would be the most difficult to deflect, thanks to his Ysanna Guidance abilities.

Preliat stared at the girl. Whoever this Akala was, and whatever the Kursed was, she'd be damned if she ever thought that she could rule Mandalore and cause so much damage, and even think to get away with it.

"She dies, and the General too. And anyone else who decides that trying to take over our planet was a good idea."

As Sara came around the corner Firing back at the people who had been shooting at her she almost stumbled into @[member="Zius Aurus"] Sarah looked down at him and said I hope you aren't going to start shooting like those people back there. Umm do you know where we are and where we should go? because at this rate ... I am going to run out of ammo soon. Hearing some scuffling sounds she glanced back around the corner, and fired off a burst from her repeater. Striking several people and at least slowing them down.
Sara looked at @Galaar CC-252 and said "You know you look like you need a medic sooner rather than later."

Remaining silent, the powerful Czar Anzati, leapt forward with a powerful roundhouse kick aimed for his targets head. Next, after dropping to the ground, Northstar aimed a sweeping kick for the back of the others ankle. Returning to the upright position, the ex-first-apprentice to Emperor Darth Voracitos, began a flurry of blows aimed all for vital points - stomach, pressure points, jaw, the temple, and others all were under attack.

If a single being alive existed that could take the blows thrown from a Czar warrior, Northstar had yet to meet them. He was by far the fastest of the Czar thus far as well, being far faster than any human even before the enhancements. Now, he did things on an even grander level. And since aligning with Akala, things had only gotten more aggressive.

The droid prepared his terrible communications module for his two cents on the subject,"I for one agr3e with the mandal0rian, however I d0ubt you have enough troops for a frontal assault. My question is wh4t kind of strategy do y0u have in mind, are we taking the f1ght to them or leading them int0 a trap". The droid hoped the last line of defense for the galaxy would have a strategy, otherwise every free organic and inorganic being in the galaxy would most likely be gunned down.

Arla was oblivious and she had no idea why she was. What were they doing again? Where was everyone? She could have sworn she was walking with Verz and Ordo, had she been hit on the head? Or worse.

She started to try and listen adjusting the frequence so she could hear, a little talk would go a long way to getting her back where she needed to be.

The nerve in Ti'Cira's jaw twitched, but she did not argue -- that was a luxury she lost a long, long time ago. She gave a curt nod, the strands of white hair that streaked the rich auburn flying from her face in the cold gust.

Another to her rear said her name, and her eyes widened momentarily at the vision that beheld her, but the surprise did not last for long. She'd already begun to back up into the tunnels, her footsteps sure. She'd fought alongside Mandalore all this time, and she would continue to do so -- until her dying breath.

A bloodstained hand went wrapping around the hilt of her saber, her thumb ready to activate if needed. If she'd learned anything throughout the years, is that anyone, even lost kin, could become Akala's puppets.

She did not reply to the man who's face resembled her long lost sister's mate's face, but instead did as she'd been ordered. It was a long way from the kind of reaction a younger Ti'Cira would make, this one knew all too well what it meant if orders were not followed.

The number of dead would multiply.

"Come," she repeated to @[member="Racket"], the shadows of the warrens enveloping the witch as she disappeared into the darkness.
