An Inn, In, An In.

After patting the droid on the butt for a good job, La'kuus went to start with a sip of soup, patting her hair at the compliment as it arrived. She liked it too, but it made her head feel WAY too heavy to run a good few miles in. She could hardly do a 10K without stopping for some reason, anyways. (Mostly water breaks. Drink more water, La!) "Thanks," She responded anyways with a curled up acute smile.

Motioning to the soup with the tip of her spoon as she pulled it from her mouth again, La'kuus made a clear sound of approval toward the side-dish. "Mmm, this is actually a lot better than I was expecting it to be, and my expectations are always raised up high so nothing ever turns out right." As soon as the words left her mouth, the spoon, as if by magic returned past her lips with a magic refill of the soup. That's what you get for eating protein bars for months, the time you get to go out it tastes amazing.

A hearty laugh escapes the Spacer as he leans back in the booth-seat. "I'm glad you like it. Was worried it may not live up to your standard!" He doesn't say that in a harmful fashion, but a playful one by his tonality. Sitting forward to take a few spoonfuls of the soup, nodding his head. "It is very good!"

Setting the spoon down he takes the half-glass of wine and takes a sip, semi-sweet, little dry. But very good. Nodding his head again, beginning to look like a bobble head once again. "Hmmm. Maybe should come here more often."

Looking out towards the windows to their left, at the madness out there. Bright colors, ads everywhere, vehicles whipping by in the distance-and the rain coming down in waves. "Not much seems to change here."

[member="Olan Teff"]

"Well, I suppose that depends on what you see. Kind of reminds me of when we first met, but... What I see is a city full of change. People getting a little closer to getting broken up, new ads flying in to tell people they can leave, they can scam their money away. Ads to prevent that, people coming in, coming out with new stories, new adventures and offers. Sure it isn't much of a change, I guess, but it's too much for a person to personally see with just their own senses." After taking her talk break and looking out the window, she continued to sip the soup.

She flickered her eyes back to Olan innocently, blinking the extended lashes a few times. "I have a whip on the other hand. That's a change, yet it deems to the city not relevant, where as for me it allows a brand new world of training to come out of."

@La'kuus Quelin

Olan remained quiet as she spoke. Leaning back with the glass of wine firmly gripped in his scarred hands. "Hmmm." Reaching one hand from the glass to rub his freshly cleaned up beard and chin. "True, but is something-going on a vein of what you said-that is always changing, not the same? Its norm is always to change. To have something occurring. In essence, it is the same everyday to itself. Only way for it to truly have change-is to have a single day where nothing occurred or happened."

Chuckling. "Which would be so very unusual for around here. Something is always happening."

Tilting his head to the side. "You don't seem like the kinda girl who was into whips. Kinda scary thought." A playful grin on his face at this point, shaking his head slowly. Taking a sip of the wine in his hand before continuing. "Yes, it does remind me of how we first met. Just me a little less soused, and you as well. Just a day ago...two days ago now. Aren't you glad you came along? And I didn't forget?"

She shrugged at the question. Change is change, even if it always happens, even if it's normal. If someone was talking major differences though... Well that'd still be normal for the personal issues in the city. She sipped the soup lightly again before looking back up to Olan. Was she happy here? Her expression cried out an extreme confusion, wide eyes and sealed sips around the spoon.

After awkward silence, she popped the spoon from her mouth and tipped it to Olan. "I have nothing to truly compare it to. However, I am sure some day I'll come calling back to you telling you how much of a.. f... fr... fr..." La'kuus went wide eyed again, trying to cough up her words. She was actually coughing. There was something in her soup...

@La'kuus Quelin

A brow raised as he watched her stumble over her words and eyes go wide. Then the coughing began, moving out of his seat quickly he points to her chest. "Something caught in there? Just nod?" Eyes going over her quickly to try and assess what was wrong, but he was staying calm. Or doing his best to. Setting down the wine glass quickly as he moved out of his seat.

She gently raised a hand and coughed harder, and harder. Oh, who here is a DOCTOR?

The wrecked irony of being your own doctor. She hacked a few times, wheezing frantically. That wasn't normal, something wasn't right. Why was there... that stuff, in front of her eyes? A shudder fell over her body before she limped out to the side, falling straight for the floor. Dribbles of blood began to drip from her ear again, even though she just had that looked at.

Dun dun dun, mysterious kitchen~.

@La'kuus Quelin

Olan did his best to try and catch her before she hit the floor, but was not fast enough-as he did not expect her to collapse that quickly. Moving over he began to look over her for anything unusual. Only seeing the blood from her ear. "We need a Doctor! Anyone!?" Eyes going a bit frantic as he searched quickly in the area for anyone who could maybe of use. If he did not see anyone, he would begin picking her up for transport out of the restaurant, time was of the essence...atleast, he felt it was so.

La'kuus had something lodged in her throat, probably by the time they got it out it would still be there. She didn't wake up however, she was knocked out cold. It's really kind of awkward when your guests pass out when you take them out for dinner.

@La'kuus Quelin

Not exactly the best at this, having spent more time handling bones and lacerations, burns and perforations-than choking! Not getting really the chance to understand if she was choking or not until he realized she wasn't breathing-even the unconscious still breathed...most of the time. Doing what little he remember of how to clear an airway in a situation like this, with an unconcious person. He straddled her-which probably looked monumentally hilarious. Pressing on his palm into the lower waistline and up, thrusting his hands up to try and push the object in question out of her airway-and proceed to give air to her, if she doesn't start after coughing the object out.

La'kuus suddenly busted into a coughing from all the throat simuli, instantly jerking herself up to a sitting position and punching straight in front of her with both arms. A weakly forced together punch, but still something from someone who hasn't had air in the last two to four minutes. She took a deep wheezing breath, struggling to see about with her two lil cutie pie eyes.

@La'kuus Quelin

Light for her still meant a lot to others. Olan had not expected the violent reaction and took both fists right to the face. Probably going to have a black eye and a swollen lip after that. Moving off her quickly so as to not get hit all over again. "Welcome bawk to the land of the leeving." He said as he rubbed his jaw with one hand, smiling somewhat lopsidedly.

Looking about at the room as others had noticed the unusual occurrance. "Sorry abou' disturbin' yer' meal!"

La'kuus took another long breath, then put a hand over her mouth. Slowly she rolled something in her tongue, then hid it underneath the muscle as she got up on both feet steadily. "I think I'll take this to go. I need to call an old friend of mine, alright?" She looked to Olan seriously, crossing both her meowscly arms.

@La'kuus Quelin

"Shounds guud' ter' me." He says between the slowly swelling lip. Giving a nod ofnhis head, smiling the best he can right now. For the moment, he was glad she wasn't dead. "See yah sh'tomorrow!" Getting up the pay the bill as the server droid returned, having boxed up their dinners separately. Not bothering to finish the wine or go for the soup, he did his best to pay before La had a chance. "Jursh lemme know when all ish good."

La'kuus weakly smiled to [member="Olan Teff"] as she took the to-go box. She looked into his eyes with her emerald green gems, staring at him for a long moment. There was a little fear in her eyes, something more than just being revived. She flicked her eyes to the ground, then quickly turned and made her way out the door.

The busy streets weren't awfully bad to her. She made it to an apartment without trouble. Once she managed to get a room that was fit for a much larger species, La'kuus put her box to the side and pulled out her pad. A small message went to Olan. She couldn't be with him right now, something was up. Seriously up. Olan, it was a pleasure to be a part of your trip. I'll take a ride home when I'm better. Don't let me keep you waiting. - La'kuus.

Taking a deep breath, La laid into the bed and felt for a remote, then adjusted some settings to let her sleep comfortably.

Hopefully Olan would understand.

@La'kuus Quelin

Olan could only give a wave and smile. Not seeming all too bothered about the turn of events, just happy she wasn't dead it appeared. Watching her go. Once out of sight he takes his food and proceeds to his next location: Endalatas estate. He had some business there. And hopefully they had that bootleg medic about tonight...

~~~~Some hours later.~~~~
...a soft beep occurred from Olans pocket as he sat inside the large dance hall inside Endalatas home. Music was blaring, but not enough for him to pick out the sound of his holonet messenger. Pulling out the silver disk he activates it and looks at the message La left for him. His one good eye taking in the information, while the other relaxed and recovered behind a bacta-infused eyepatch to get him all spiffy for the next day.
Holding up the disk he activated the voice messenger: "Don't worry about it, glad to help. Just be safe, call me when you need me. Also, the interview is at this time and this place" And ended the message, sending a text format to her of the time and place the meetup was occurring.
Slipping the disk back into place he leaned back into the cushioned seat and looked up at all the pretty lights with his good eye. Enjoying the sound of music. A hazy ragged voice broke the peace he had. And the flaps of wings followed.
"You ready for tomorrow, Ollie? Big Es?" Tosk spoke as he took a spot near him, drinking one of the varied caff drinks he could never stop having. Even though his body didn't quite process it right. "Gotta be Tosk. Tomorrow is a big day, for a lot of people. And I am looking forward to getting something I been looking for-for a long time. Thanks for all your help. Olan said drearily.
"Nothing like being a deadman for awhile, then coming back, eh?" A snorting laugh following.
"Yeah, it was kinda nice being a deadman..."
