ARK: Survival Evolved

As far as playing together, I believe that it has to be on region servers. Depending on where you live there are different versions of official servers and people playing in one region can't play in other region's servers.
The exception that I have read about is with friends who have played on servers in their region. The friends can play on servers that are not their own region through their friends.
Is that helpful?[member="Aurelia Volcata"]

I looked up the server you have been playing on [member="Selena Halcyon"] and I believe that it is Canadian and as I am in America it is out of region.

How random.

We are all playing it from the US. So I dunno. I mean.. the moderators are called USMC.

o_O

[member="Aurelia Volcata"] what's your steam name? We should be playing later on today, it is just on an update right now and the admin has to server update it.

We can have you join via "join game" from either Matt, Mason, or Trent on steam. Once that's done, you can easily join at any time by seeing what characters you are playing in the server.

I'll PM you. Can't have the plebs getting my name :p

As a resident dinosaur nerd, here's my thoughts on the game. Though keep in mind I haven't played it much myself and instead have only watched.
Visually, most of the creatures look great. Yes, the spinosaurus is actually near scientifically correct. Yes, the raptors have feathers. And I'm great with that. I'm glad feathers are starting to make their way into the minds of more than just the scientific community. The environment looks great. Almost everything looks great! The only things I'd like to see really are

A. There's literally no end to the dinosaurs. Like you can't go 10 feet without running into something. I love the variety and all, but people will be able to really appreciate it more when they do see a Dino if they don't spawn every 5 feet. I'm not necessarily saying reduce their spawns way down, but just enough that when you come upon a herd of brachiosaurus, you find it that much more majestic.
B. Early game glitchy stuff that can only be blamed on the fact it's not a full game yet. Not much to say here. It'll improve over time.
C. Keep pumping out those more obscure species. It's awesome to see T. rex and all, but I'd like to see some more stuff that people haven't heard of like Acrocanthosaurus and Hadrosaurs. Many more kinds of hadrosaurs.

And that's really it. Looks like a great game so far, and I can't wait to see what it continues to evolve into. Woo! Dinosaur games!

!ARK[DAY-ONLY][PVP][105%-EXP] is the server we're on. It's a pvp but we're the second largest tribe on the server and rather safe from everyone. Plus, we're taming enough t-rexes for everyone to have one (I think we have 7).

And our base has turrets, which took forever to build.

[member="Tefka"] Rexes are great and all but never under estimate the sure devestation of a sniper. Or a massive herd of Dodo..Dodo Powah!

[member="Mark Sage"] There is so little evidence to support feathers on more then a handful of dinosaurs and that evidence is mostly on Dromaeosaur, and very little evidence is encomposed the entire genus. SLapping feathers on anything at this stage is kind of irresponsible and wreckless and ignores scientific uncertainty.

The game only has a limited amount of room for species at this stage and they plan on 70 at release, there will be some lesser known species but they will get all the big names in then they might add in Giganatosaurus, Seismosauraus, Archaetoptyrx and other lesser known dinosaurs/pterasaurs. The only reason Dimorphodon made it in is do to jurassic world. Dunkleosteos is makiing it in because its just a bad ass fish.
