General

As for replacing Ali as SC...we haven't really talked about that OOC. I've enjoyed holding the post, helping coordinate and plan and carry out our military activities in invasions and dominions, and I would love to keep helping in that capacity. I've got Marcus Solstice, whom I've only written as an NPC thus far, but could easily be adopted to take on the role.
I'm already familiar with the GR faction command staff and have brought some pretty good tech to the military, with more planned, so I've got plenty of reason to stick around!

I've been monitoring your situation, without having made any comments so far. I wanted to leave it to our admins and moderators to get to the bottom of what really happened at Roche.

Thus far, it has been my conclusion that a lot of ad hominem attacks have been thrown your way, followed by allegations, with little proof. Several questions have been missed in transition, as the Mandalorians and those involved in this Corporate Alliance have looked for someone to blame.

I think this entire drama as to whether the book should be thrown at you or not has been indicative of the current circumstance that the Republic finds itself in. On the pretense that the Republic is now weak, the Mandalorians have been throwing about their weight, backed by Corporations who have received significant funding from Sith Lords.

To say that all the events are some Sith plot would be an allegation without substance, but I think there is a pretense for mistrust from our side and so I understand why you have been unwilling to be trialed IC and have been mistrustful OOC.

In light of all of this, I would be willing to stand for you in your trial of absentia, if our Chancellor and the Senate intend to push on with the trial. So long as the trial is done on the basis that you are innocent until proven guilty, I think there is a real case to proven that Ali Hadrix is innocent of most, if not all, of the allegations made against her.

Some of the mistrust is for OOC behavior as well as IC. We have to look at the implications of both. Replacing the position with an alt of yours is going to reflect poorly on the faction as a whole, in my opinion. It's going to burn what few bridges were building, and frankly, it will pretty much look like we're saying "sorry not sorry kark off bye" from an OOC standpoint. I'm sorry to say this, but the optics of replacing you with your own alt after all of this makes it the very definition of not addressing any of the problems leading to this.
