Classically, there were three different types of illusions: mental illusions, magic illusions, and those of the white current. Matsu was a master of all but the last, a deficiency of choice not capability. She’d opted to pursue necromancy in favor of the ability to hide in the Force. But that was neither here nor there – there was a Jedi somewhere ahead that had the ability to see through her mental illusions. She could feel them burning and while madness clung to many of the soldiers ahead, disarray wasn’t planted as efficiently as it could have been. Making a mental note to herself, she forged ahead alongside Gabriel and Athena until they’d cleared the narrow hallway and breached F7’s dome.
Had most of her face not been covered by her mask, the Jedi who named her might have seen a smile, the only hint at the expression the narrowing of her eyes. Knowledge was power and though she’d heard rumors of some Kel Dor Jedi Master in almost every invasion between the two factions in the last ten years, she couldn’t name him for sure. A disadvantage, indeed. But she and Reverance were perfect compliments in combat and she moved with him as no other.
She rolled her shoulders as the Chom-Huun spit sparks, looking to Athena. “It seems they have Padawans with them, young one. Let’s see if you kill as well as you control minds.” With that she turned back to the Masters, mostly silent as she took off.
She’d had the Kel Dor Master in her sight, the red-haired Jedi’s approach unseen until the clacking of his armor caught her attention at the last moment. It was to her advantage to keep her distance but she’d already closed: the blade of her lightsaber came to life in her right hand, bringing the left to join it for a better grip as she caught Korr’s blade on the horizontal flat of her own. She was much smaller and lighter than him however, and in the interest of staying upright she first tilted her lightsaber slightly to try and prevent him from dragging his along towards her to cut her in half, then lifting her left hand from the hilt to throw a telekinetic shove at him, hopefully sending him flat on to his back considering his position on the ground.
