Am I the only one (probably) who thinks this is just ridiculous?
There is a huge opening for WWI games, they are virtually non-existent. The reason for this is because the Great War was not some glorious lark driving tanks around and fighting in melee, it was a horrific slaughter where 20,000 people could die in a day for absolutely no gains.
I suspect this is Great War Fantasy version.
Especially given their emphasis on melee weapons, tanks and planes, things which are much more WWII things.

This is not a Fantasy Great War or Steam Punk WW1. Its been officially stated there will be no fantasy elements. It may appear so, as Battlefield 1 uses the same surreal lightning effects as it does in past, but the developers have stated all weapons, places, and usable items are historical. On that note, lets get ready to move that liquor cabinet six inches closer to Berlin! Remember to keep your heads down.
