Nico moved as she came down and stood still ready to see what her padawan could do, knocking her down was a thing but she needed to be able to recover from the attacks. "Get up, recovery is the next thing to work on. You fall down, you get back up."

Nico stood there waiting for her padawan to do more as she waited and spoke. "Alright you got back to you feet but you have to do more padawan. If you want to use ateru you have to always be moving, always be recovering if you get knocked down and be pressing forward so the opponent doesn't have a chance to advance against you. It isn't do one thing and pause and then another thing and pause."

Nico moved, impressed enough that she was blocking quickly with her sabers and switched the one into a shield as it covered her form allowing her to block the strikes. The lightshields were specifically built to block such things and so made it easier in most cases while she was going over parts of it. Prepared to defend before she moved kicking off another section to go back on the attack and push at her padawan.

Nico remained ready to do it when she was going on and around. her lightshield could defend and she was doing it while letting the padawan move as she stood her ground prepared to work on it. Staying and ready to keep defending as she used Djem So to counter the Ateru lite style she was using.

Quinn would come back in with a series of strikes aimed to break her masters guard before flipping over her still spinning her saberstaff hoping to defend

Nico let her come in, the lightshild staying up to keep her guard when the girl jumped to flip over her again and behind her she turned around rotating and slashing with one arm while the other continued to use her defensive measures with the lightshield.

Looking at her while she moved Nico stayed there in place. Djem so was about endurance and with the skill you could keep it going for a long time to protect yourself and then counter when she moved to disable and finish the duel with her padawan.

Quinn knowing she had been beat put the twin blades away and put her staff away

Nico looked at her while she deactivated her sabers and the shield staying there to see her with a look on her face for the moment. Quinn had done well enough and she was standing there while she moved over with a look on her face. "You have done well."

Nico kept a look on her face while she finished herself off and stretched out with a nod of her head. "You are welcome." Nico was looking at a number of the other things that they were doing here. She would be able to guide Quinn around with a couple of the things. "So is there anything you would want to do."

Nico looked at her and there were several types of lightshields... She was waiting for a little more to it but it never came. "What kind of lightshield padawan? There are a few from the kind I use built into my sabers to normal wrist mounted one, personal shields able to go on the body for protection."

"I want a wrist mounted one" She would say "And also what would you think about me making a new lightsaber to compliment it?"

Nico was looking at her padawan and a wrist mounted shield could do a lot there was also that they would be able to use it with a lightsaber itself. "What kind of lightsaber are you looking at creating for yourself then?"
