"She won't. I locked it up when I'm home. Believe me I don't want her get hold of it." The thought of Maddie getting hurt by it was driving him crazy. "Trust me on this."
He puts the amulet back in his pocket. Kay questioning him like this was aggravating him. "We should eat. I'm hungry. You hungry? " he asks as heads out of the cockpit.

Little kids can get into just about anything. She wasn't sure how well he had it locked up at home, but she had to trust him. For now.
He had changed the subject to food. No doubt she was getting to him. For the moment Kay just let the subject of the amulet go. "Just a light snack will do. It's late and you haven't slept since last night. If you eat too much it'll make you tired."

"It wasn't burnt. It was crisp. Sheesh." He says rolling his eyes. He butters two more pieces of bread. He put the buttered side down. He places a couple of piece of cheese. He put a piece of ham on his sandwich. Then tops them with the buttered side up. He peeks underneath. It was golden brown. He flips it over and grills the other side,
He put a jar of dill pickles on the table along with chips. He put some water in a kettle to boil for Kay's tea. He pours himself a glass of ice tea.

Oh it smelled good. Nothing like a home cooked meal. Although room service was a close second. "If I remember correctly, it was crisp and black. Gave it a kind of....smokey taste to it." She smiled a little and eagerly awaited her late night meal. Hopefully there was a spot for her to lay down for filling her tummy will make her sleepy. At least she could trust Hawk. There was no need to worry about him betraying her trust. The amulet on the other hand, was a different story.

Hawk chuckles at Kay description of that famous sandwich. He plates the almost perfect grilled cheese sandwiches. He places them on the table. He pours her a cup of tea and sets it down.
He takes a bites of his sandwich. It tasted so good. "Hmm. So good." He says. "After we eat I will show you to Maddie's room." It just a small room with a bed and dresser. He had the bigger room. The captain suite. "She won't mind you using it."

She was curious as to what his home looked like. Was it grand or small? Right now she could only guess.

After Kay was finished eating. He shows her to Maddie room. It was a small room with walls that were painted a light purple color. A couple of stuffed animals were on the bed. "She was going through a purple phase." He comments.

She didn't eat as fast as he did. She was too busy yawning in between bites. Once finished she set her plate aside and then followed Hawk to his daughter's room. Kay wasn't bothered by the colour. On the contrary, it was far better than pink. "It'll be just fine, thank you." She wandered over to the bed and lay down on it, not needing to use the blanket at all as she was plenty warm enough. "Wake me when we get there..."

A few hours go by when the ship alarm goes waking from his deep slumber. Hawk was disoriented at first. Not knowing where he was

He staggers out of bed going to the cockpit. "Wake up Kay." He yells as he goes by Maddie's room.

She didn't have a dreamless sleep. No, she drempt of Shaw and as she had some control over what happened within her dreams, she told him of her adventure with Hawk and how he is taking her to see his daughter. But just as Shaw was about to respond, Hawks voice woke her up.
"Oh just give me five minutes please." How long did she sleep? Not for long, it felt like. She yawned as she sat up in the bed and gave herself that five minutes that she requested.
Once ready, she got to her feet and left the room, heading to the cockpit where she found Hawk. "I hope you don't mind me sleeping as soon as we get there. You can give me a proper tour in the morning."

He receives the clearance to land. "Besides it is morning on the planet...Saturday morning so Maddie will be gung ho." He lands in his designated spot in the hanger bay.
