Cheers! [Siobhan, Rekha, Jenna]

Shaking her head truth was Rekha had given up girls just being around [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] had brought it out again. Rekha loved a man named [member="Jon Burke"] that she hoped to find one day since he disappeared after an explosion. He's lost his memory.

As for the money she had to finish the bar. She was given the location but not start up credits. What she had so far was a loan that had to be paid back. "I didn't lose it . The Sith invaded and my departure was immediate I arrived on Abredago Rae in my slippers, and pajamas. Sith have blocked all attempts at my being able to withdraw" what would she do pay bills and the help. Get a few more things for the bar. And look for Jon.

Looking [member="Jenna Templar"], "you want to hang around for a bit?" She winked at her.

As for cortosis "So. [member="HK-36"] how do you mine cortosis?" Dev thread stuff.

"Oh it is very fascinating actually."

The droid answered to Jenna, assuming he and Siobhan made their way back to her bar with Cortosis already because earlier they had to leave to conduct their meeting in their private bureau,

"You see Cortosis forms in the upper layers of Bespin's core and lower atmosphere cloud layers filled with gases poisonous to most organics, it can be found on other planets, of course, but this is rather unique for Bespin. In its raw form it is a very fibrous material, like plant strands, even in its purified form where it can disable lightsabers it is very fragile, it has greater energy dissipating properties, however, making it a very strong defense against energy weapons like blasters and lightsabers but incredibly weak against physical weapons like slugthrowers or swords."

The machine explained,

"And in its raw forms it is explosive when it comes in contact with organic matter, so it is mined only by specialized hover-droids who pulls its strands from clouds and the core, and then bring them up here to the special furnaces we have on the platforms. Here it is either purified or mixed together with Durasteel. Diluting it with Durasteel weakens its anti-energy properties, meaning it cannot disable lightsabers or dissipate bolts just as easily, but it strengthens it against physical attacks, making it quite a nice middle ground as it allows Durasteel to resist lightsaber attacks."

He would nod, being probably the only one in the room who found Cortosis refining process fascinating.

Crazy Never Looked this Good
When [member="Rekha Kaarde"] had asked if she was staying Jenna said "Sure. I think I'll need to anyway. Don't want things slipping up without me knowing, right?" After that she followed her back to the bar before hearing [member="HK-36"] explain about Cortosis. While he went on Jenna had given a somewhat bemused look. She sighed up until he was done before saying "Thank, Professor....oh wait, I had something for this. Whatever. I've been to school. I know how the stuff is made. And I know that having that sort of material in our possession would be good for the protectorate. Means less chance of getting run through with a saber by the Sith, or any other rouge force users." After that she looked over to Karrade and asked "So where do you keep the good stuff? We might need it."

This was a dev thread and the people in it had to do dev thready things. Like deliver a lecture about the process of mining and refining cortosis. Fortunately, Professor Iron was totally down for playing Mr Exposion and delivered a truly fascinating talk on it. One can imagine that deep in the mines labour droids were working tirelessly to do what he had just described.

Like they would be building new mining platforms and expanding the refinery. If this were a movie, perhaps the viewer would actually see scenes of the labourers mining cortosis, bringing it up the special furnaces to be purified or mixed together with durasteel. Perhaps that would make the viewer feel interested, perhaps not because these days everyone only wanted explosions and 'literacy modules', which was not shallow and superficial at all.

"Thanks for the exposition talk, Iron. Now we all know how to make cortosis ourselves," Siobhan said sardonically. "Ideally we'll get phrik soon. It comes second to beskar, a good deal tougher than cortosis and a phrik canister survived the destruction of Alderaan. Oh, and somehow the planet got rebuilt, but that's another story.

She listened half way to the mining things, that platforms, the deliveries, the materials the workers, and then what to do with what they found. Rekha knew a little about mining, she knew a little well enough to be completely dangerous with knowledge.

"Cortosis Corset the newest rage of Bespin" She was talking outloud, not necessarily to anyone. She was like that, see who reacted who didn't

Rekha looked at Jenna, "The good stuff hasn't quite arrived yet, seems they got hung up. I"m thinking the Captain is trying to vie for a better price, but we shall see. In the meantime its the ehh it burns stuff" She smiled.
