I extremely new at this and thankfully a couple of other writers are giving me Codex 101 lessons. But I do have a question. If I wanted to create a special until based off a species that is not yet been discovered I would first need to make a species submission first, wait for approval, then work on the special unit. Am I correct in assuming that is how that works?

I don't know of this is where I ask, but... Is it possible for a force user to be cursed by someone to suffer until the end of time, or just to have a painfully long life? I know it seems really stupid but other than a Shi'do I'm not exactly sure what Casey's species would be, so I'm just asking around before I make anything permanent. :unsure:

If one was to make two sithspawn species that are only one of it's kind in nature, can I group the two in one submission or do I need to make separate submission.

However, that's more of an imprisonment rather than a living curse.
I don't think there's a Force ability which would do this...certainly nothing in the purvey of the Codex anyway.

I want to make an alloy for my company to use in place of typical materials, a uniqueness to my products. The thought was Agrinium and Trimantium blended into a damascus. Trimantium to lend the durability and Agrinium for it's protective qualities; radiation protection, mild emp protection in the case of body armors.

1.) So, I'm currently making a planet. Now I have three non-sentient species to be created. Would I have to still fill in the culture and technology despite it being non-sentient?
2.) Ok, so I've been having this idea for my character where he is cursed by a Dathomirian Wraith who changed his arm and later cure him with long life. How exactly would I go about explaining and Rping this?

- Technology is N/A. Culture is anything unique the species does...but again simply mark it as N/A if you wish.

This is more of a character creation question, but figured I'd put it here. In the character creation rules, is says your character cannot be a Celestial, but it never says anything about being a Rakata. Am I correct to assume that you can make a Rakata, then?

I've been making a species and i'm positive that i'll need a dev thread for it.
But dev threads sort of confuse me, such as how they're supposed to be done.
For items I can understand you just make a thread where you're constructing whatever it is. However, with a species i'm under the impression that it doesn't exist until it is accepted. So, if it doesn't exist how do you make a dev thread for it?

Generally speaking, a dev thread for species is broadly similar to what you'd write out for a piece of tech. You're basically establishing any abilities they might have, unique features, so on and so forth. How you go about it is up to you, but a lot of folks like to take the role of the researcher discovering them for the first time.
As far as the whole not existing thing goes, the Codex is completely optional. You can write the species to your heart's content without having it approved. Approval grants it inclusion into Chaos canon, however. This basically means you can write the species in open RP events like invasions and the like and no one can complain, so long as you don't abuse it.
