COME ONE! COME ALL! TO RENDILI'S BLADEWORK TOURNAMENT!

Wait, the only reason why Jedi can use lightsabers is because they can feel the length of the blade with the force. Now without the force this puts us at an extremely disadvantage to the point where we might end up severely injuring ourselves. Unless of course you have used a lightsaber enough where you just know how long it is, but still your skill level is going to be extremely lowered.

Well the weapons won't cut off any limbs though at least. And honestly you can see its length, the more basic and actual problem in the sword play is its weightlessness, which with their training they should be used to. That's the difficult part as without the weight its hard to feel the momentum or direction of blows. Its a glowing shaft of light though, I don't get where you'd lose sight of it.

Talk to [member="Darth Nexus"] and [member="Solan Charr"] if they're still interested. If they are, then I might compete too and we'll let you all in. The current rounds aren't going super fast so it won't be too much a hassle if you all want in still.

Well, [member="Cain Laatl"] and [member="Camellia Swift"], the thing about lightsabers is that, while they are weightless, the blades have a powerful gyroscopic effect when they get moving due to their power sources and their amazing energy output, effectively making it seem as if the blade has "Weight" like a normal blade, even though it is simply a desire to continue its movements. So it would feel like an actual blade, though when it stopped moving, it goes right back to being weightless. But this is also why Trayce elected to use a normal vibrosword, because without the Force it would be strange to get used to, which would affect the battle.

I only just thought about this, which is why i'm regretting not having a lightsaber. There are reasons why non-force sensitives can't use lightsabers without extreme practice.

I found myself wondering today how long is allotted to each round of the tournament? Is there a time limit to complete a spar before judging determines the winner? Merely curious is all.

[member="Ronan Dyre"]

None specified. Problem is with all the site stuff happening I'm sure 2 fights still haven't started. And 2 others stopped posting. With only 2 finished so far.

And plus it's been hard when people seem to think its to the death and its hard to judge but their opponent says they're ok so its hard to factor in the point system.

So until we have a decisive victor or the rpers want to call it the fights will go on unless there's a major problem. I haven't been PMed about one in a while though.

Oh. My apologies for this being late but sorry, I had to drop out. I'll still provide the winner with a sword of their design though.

Camellia, I decided to finish the fight on my own since Cain hadn't posted in a while. If this is a problem I will gladly delete the post, but I more so just wanted to finish the fight since it was taking so long.

Ok I'd like you to PM Cain and see how he still feels about participating, I would have preferred he posted or I was asked to give a judgement on extreme absence rather than him be skipped several times.

If he's just too busy or doesn't care about the tournament anymore its fine, if he still wants to try I think it'd be best to go back so he has a chance.
