I was actually looking at this and I saw a glaring, massively glaring (at least in my view) problem with this Invasion.
It is targeting Contruum.
A world that is on the edge of Republic Space near the Mandalorians.
Now when we look at the map, the problem should be very clear.
If the Invasion is a success in favor of the Sith, it could potentially (depending on which side is cut off due to the mechanics of how clouds of influence are said to work) cut the Republic in Half.
I find myself asking two things.
Does anyone else see a problem with this?
Would the One Sith be as permitting to lose potentially half of their territory for the sake of story?
This troubles me greatly.

The One Sith has been waging a war for an OOC year now to destroy the Republic. They have won every single invasion and yet... the Republic is still there. I think the better question is to ask if the Republic is willing to actually lose for the sake of the story.

If we elect to invade Coruscant they would lose all of their territory if we were to theoretically prevail in such a scenario. There isn't a negotiation on what planet can be invaded, it's a notice that such planet is being invaded and a negotiation for terms involved in that invasion.

We (the Republic) get as much choice as the OS have used in what planets we target and the impact they have.

If you are tired of this OS vs GR war story - dont be here. Go write something else that you feel is fun. Nothing forcing you to write here, or even give a damn.

But assuming some sith out there are looking forward to this - I got a saber here ready for a fight! ... hm... just gota find that battery...

The One Sith is definitely looking forward to this Invasion! Alot of hard work and planning has gone into it on both sides to try and make it super fun for both the GR and the OS writers alike.

We're pumped and I hope the GR is, too. :)

It makes sense though. A year and a half of ooc war, AND Contruum is situated in a ridiculously critical position in terms of strategic value atm. This is gonna be the make or break of the republic - if we lose here, now, we're fucked.

If the Republic falls, there goes the leash on Cristina. She'll more than likely end up slipping back to her criminal past rather than fold herself into the next "Republic" based faction, and just be unleashed upon the Galaxy.

Contruum would be a significant loss. But the last stand of the Republic- if we lost at Contruum- would be on Onderon. I think the One Sith are in the ascendancy now, but there is still quite a way to go before the Republic lose the war.

With the establishment of the Galactic Alliance and with the Rebel Alliance still in full swing, it will be another couple of OOC years before the One Sith have established dominance in the galaxy. With the creation of alliances with the likes of the Primeval and the connections to the Techno Union, they are well on their way to achieving this.

Schisms in the Jedi Order (Silver Jedi, New Jedi Order etc.) haven't helped the Republic's chances. Contruum is ripe for the taking. It would be surprising if the Republic won, but then it would be that feel good moment in the story.

The question is what is the story? The One Sith's rise to ultimate power or the redemption of the Republic? Both sides are fighting for each reason. So the story will continue until one side gives up OOC. That was what happened with the Sith Empire.

It would make sense, yeah.

But it'd all depend if they'd be willing to go through with it, or just keep drawing out the conflict indefinitely.

Edit: If Contruum is lost then the Republic could most likely lose Onderon, considering the Republic changed their capital from Onderon to Chazwa sometime prior to this invasion.
