Whoever had originally called out, had not yet answered. Scherezade stared at the abandoned shipyard, almost ready to give up and just vandalize it with spray paint, when other voices and sounds were heard instead. First came the one that continued the conversation in Mandalorian ([member="Atin Alo'ran"]). Then, she wasn't sure if it came afterwards or she was merely noticing it afterwards, was metal against metal ([member="Azel Moran"]). She shuddered at the sound of that; like nails down a blackboard. How people could stand to hear it all the time was completely beyond her.

Then she heard the answer. Obviously not a Mandalorian? At those words, Scherezade beamed as though she had just been granted the greatest of compliments. Now that she had voices though, and pinned their more precise location down, it wasn't long before they were all actually in the view of each other.

Open doors, deserted tunnels… This place sure was a party place.

"Hey!" she greeted all those assembled, the glow of her eyes eerie but the smile on her face warm and bright. Getting ready with her can of paint, Scherezade sighed as she heard the very same thing that [member="Jai'galaar Gred"] did now. Again with the nails down a blackboard thing. She noted how worried one of the Mandalorian companions was, what with all the weapon grabbing.

"I thought we were going to be alone here," she sighed, and then quickly spray painted the symbol of chaos on the nearest wall, "Guess we're going to investigate?"

"Ok...who let out gas?"

They were all foot sliding down the acute incline, using cable guides. Of course none of the droids let out gas, but the further down they descended, the more the air became pungent. There weren't sewage tunnels..right?
Well maybe they weren't at one time, but maybe during the sith bombardments a few of the tunnels running parallel maybe collapsed onto one and the other?

Of course not one of the droids replied, except for the one closest to her, her cover droid. he didn't so much replied verbally, but were looking, scanning her from head to foot. Yes, Karlie had designated one as a cover droid. It's role was to block whatever blaster bolt came her way, if they should come under fire. Somehow or other the droid hadn't minded his role, hadn't objected, rather had complied by 'By your command.' when she designated him.
Well, that was when they were above ground and near the transport and it's constant monitoring of their stasis.
Down here, they were out of communication range, as there were some kind of interference. They were now down this dark tunnel..alone.
His one cyclops red eye scanner were directly- uhm, eyeing her. Shiet, it suddenly felt weird..especially since he were lighting her up in the dark like that.

"Hey... so...how's it going?" She asked, making small talk with a potential droid who just may have some motive to shoot his human commander here, now, alone in the tunnels. Like, who was to know, except the other droids.
"Gulp..."
Poodoo...her mind were playing with her.

"Not well with your person, Commander." it replied, suddenly halting Karlie in her descent.

"Gasp!
Wa... ahem...what do you mean?" No freakin way! She were right then. Her freakin fears weren't just that-

"You are nearing your end, Commander"

"But...but haven't I been like...you know, nice to you guys?"

"Irrelevant Commander"

"No no wait...it should count for something! I mean, I like kinda ..uhm...rescued you. Rescued all of you!"

"Commander-" It tried to interject, but to no avail.

"You would have all rusted to nothing in that old station..." Nope. She were now grasping for anything that would suade the droid from doing her in in this dark smelly tunnel.

"Commander, your cable is coming to it's end"

"No no..look please-
My what?

"Your cable. You anchored a short cable, commander"

Sure enough, as Karlie looked down the sharp incline, her cable was dangling short...she just had only 4 meters left and the tunnel continued on further down.

"Oh..poodoo!
Now what?" She said, before that very droid reached his hand over to her.

"Whoa whoa..what are you doing?" Karlie tried to shuffle back out of his reach, but her buttocks came in contact with another of her droids.
"Eeek..." She weren't going anywhere.

The droid she were interacting with took hold of her, pulling Karlie toward him and held her fast under his arm...gently.

"Disengage your cable, commander."

It took a moment for her to come out of her panic. The droid were doing exactly what his role was and that was to look after her, shelter her...protect her.

"Alright...yea, alright..." Karlie nodded in the light of his red scanner with relief, before the droid and the rest continued on down their descent, with Karlie in the safety of one of their arms.

"Uhm...we're not going to mention this later in the report, right?"

Atin hand would raise, his Westar blaster being lowered to a more relaxed position as he approached group "It has been such a long time since I've seen any Vod, I'm glad to see some here." soon linking up with the rest of the squad that laid in-front of him. Glee filled the Warrior, afterall he has been alone since the Fall of the Empire and his hatred for the Sith burned deep especially with the conquest of both Mandalore and Concord Dawn but that wasn't the point right now, he finally found people to help him! To begin his quest to fight back against the Sith.

The Red Coated Warrior opened his mouth again to speak, but before he could even get a word out he was interrupted by the loud-SKREEWHEEEER- BOOM -WHEEEHeeheeheeheer of someone within the facility cutting away without a worry in the world which prompted him to raise his Westar Blaster to his shoulder aiming at the general direction quickly responding to both of the parties gathered.

"Lead the way, boss-lady." he simply stated waiting to fall in behind.

The group finally reached level ground, except for the blonde of course, who's feet were just a jump away from touching ground...

Knock knock... she knuckled on the dura-chrome.
"This is where I get off, if you don't mind." Karlie spoke to the droid carrying her in arm.
The other droids were scanning the lower tunnel, with two gathered in what Karlie assumed were the direction leading under Varos Shipyard.

Her droid carefully released her.
"Eww..yuck... Berkana I hope this isn't what smells down here." Yes, the putrid odor was a lot stronger now that they had reached the bottom.
Still, there weren't much water flowing underfoot at all. Then again, these were storm drains and for the most part no precipitation had been expected. But that was now difficult to say as a good majority of Concord dawn's outlying farms which extended South and west of Varos had been razed..torched and made barren. How it affected the local weather was anyone's guest, especially with all of the carbon released from the burning forests and whatnot.

Karlie did her own scanning, double checking their current coordinates. It were difficult to link up to their transporter for a more pin-point location and direction, as there was some kind of natural blockage of signals. But from what little intelligence they had of the facilities, which by the way were before the sith ravaged the planet, she were able to confirm what her two other droids had come to conclude.

"Yep...looks like that's our route, boys."
As soon as she said that, the two droids ahead took lead and the one which had carried her remained by her side, occasionally scanning behind them.

A fine-tuned metallurgical sensor picked up another chunk of forged beskar in short order. This one, however, was going to be a problem.

In theory his big grinder could handle it. The wheel was Svolten rhyolite, the same rare mineral that the best materials alchemists used to hone indestructible blades. With enough patience, it had just chewed through a beskar cylinder larger than his hands could span together. But brute force had its place.

This particular item was a drill bit as wide as Moran's thumb and almost a meter long, a beautiful fluted piece of craftsmanship. In its day it would have punched destroyer plating like butter. The grinder could certainly get it free of its armature, but that would risk damaging this absolute treasure. The corrosion on this piece was little more than tarnish, a lovely coal-gray patina. No, the grinder wouldn't do.

Moran dug through one of the secure trunks on the hoversled and came out with one of his best flat files. He'd forged it of black alchemical metal with a hardness rating north of eighty and surprising bend resilience. Manually, he applied the file's edge to the rusted armature with as much effort as he'd put into carrying the huge grinder. Shavings of durasteel curled away, revealing the damascene base of the beskar drill bit a piece at a time.

"Same here. I thought we were the only ones here. Did.... Did our clan send any of you?" He looked between [member="Atin Alo'ran"] and [member="Scherezade deWinter"] . Did the other Greds know his band was there all along? He heard the banging again. When deWinter suggested they investigate, Jai looked at his friends, as they seemed to agree. He looked back to the women there, nodding and pulling out his Trayc'kal.

"Ok. Lets move out. Daric is a gunner, and has heavier armor so he should take point." The man nodded, prepping his blaster before walking ahead to find the noise. Jai looked around as they went, one of his arms holding to his cloak. "Sith aren't the easiest threat to fight without backup."

It weren't long...more like 400 meters down the tunnel as it curved that they came up on fractures and soon some rubble from overhead.
Karlie could only point her light so far before it were lost around the large bend. Something had hit close to the tunnel from above...a bunker buster of sort, she figured. her droids were scanning also, but their sensors could only penetrate so far as the tunnel like everything subterranean seemed shielded.
Still, the stench somehow were getting worse. Bad enough for her to put on her filter mask. There were traces of methane about, as her suit armor bio-scans picked up. They were not dangerous levels, but it had risen from 3ppm to 45ppm the last 100 meters in.

Amonia levels started to peak, along with Co2 the further they went. There were some concerns as to the integrity of the tunnels due to the large chunks they had to transverse, along with pools of water at times reaching up to the droid's waist. Of course, Karlie were exempt from wading through such obstacles, as she would have most likely have needed to swim. But she neither swam, nor waded through like her droid companions as she were carried over the water by one of the droids.

"Wha-...what is that?" She had caught something moving in one of the pools they were crossing. Her light didn't show her much and her scanners indicated organic mass. One of the droids approached the mass and scanned it, before it reached for it.

"Wha..what is it?...don't go touching it...it could be booby trap-" She suddenly stopped in mid sentence.
Her face were evident with shock.
"Oh my God!."

Yes, the droid had reached for the floating mass and had pulled up what had once been a body. It were so decomposed that it half came apart at the torso.
It was no doubt a Mandelorean, as the droid firmly held the upper torso by the armor.
"B...barf..." Karlie added her favorite mix to the recipe.
No wait. She had her mask on still.

Nope, she hadn't pulled it off her fast enough and YES, she barfed in her mask, which she chucked into the putrid pol.
"Cough..cough..." she did her best to wipe the vomit off her lips, chin and hair. Somehow or other when she ripped the mask off, her ponytail seemed to have been caught in the strap and got in the way too before she chucked the mask.
And what do you know?
The air were laden with the stench of decay...human decay.

"For Berkana's sake...drop him...her...it, whatever!" There were no telling as to whom it were.
"Oh frak me!...
The stench! Get us through this pool." She were able to order between bouts of near vomiting.
"Ohhh..." She had to bury her face on her droid's shoulder as he passed the two halves of the carcass.

Well, this explained the methane and ammonia levels..and the odor she had picked up a half kilometer back before she put on her breathing mask. Now with mask gone, it was horrid beyond anything she had experienced before. Karlie had not ever smelled old death. She had seen men, creatures die, get decimated before her eyes, sure. But they never smelled like this before.
She weren't looking, but the group had passed a few more carcasses. Just seeing one were enough for her and she kept her head buried on the neck of the droid carrying her through and above the muck.

It had appeared that a bunker buster had managed to hit the tunnel this deep. Lucky shot maybe...just not for the poor Mandeloreans. Karlie did however peak over her droid's shoulder as he were coming out of the muck in the collapsed section of the tunnel. All she could see in the dim light were the damage of the tunnel they had just passed through. But she knew it were more than that. men had died here and deep. Who they were she didn't know. All she knew was that they died here in the deep fighting the horde of siths that invaded their home.
She bade Berkana to watch over their brave souls. It didn't matter to Karlie what religion they were. Most likely they had their own version of the same Creator. it were like that most times.

They finally were back on solid ground again and the droid stopped only briefly enough to put Karlie back down on her own two feet.
With one last look back down the dark collapsed section, she signaled for them to continue.
"I don't think we have much further to go. And we'll have to try and find a different way back..." The putrid smell of decaying flesh were still lingering about.

Again the sounds of screeches were heard, vibrating through the tunnels. Scherezade sighed. It always had to be screeching in the tunnels, didn't it? But when the younger among the Mandos standing there called her boss-lady, she couldn’t help but smile a little. Mandalorians, following the orders of a deWinter. This was something to write a Corellian song about.

When the other one (Jai'galaar) asked if she was sent by the clan… The smile turned into a complete and rolling laughter. "Kid, I don't even know which Clan you're part of," she said truthfully between the laughs. It was, from a certain perspective, a sad thing – Mandalorians and deWinters had been locked in a blood feud for nearly a millennia, but at this point in history, the two knew near to nothing about each other. Scherezade, at least, had zero intention of fixing any of that.

Letting one of her lightsabers slide into her hand, the glowing green beam that matched her eyes slid ignited, and she motioned for everyone gathered to follow here.

"We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz," she assured them in the very non-assuring way that only she was capable of.

Tunnel after tunnel, even Scherezade quickly lost sense of how big the place actually was. This was so weird. All they'd wanted to do was infiltrate into Sith Space, graffiti some crude things on an abandoned shipyard, and run back home. This was turning into something different all together.

"Do you guys hear that?" she asked, raising her arm to signal everyone to stop as they approached [member="Azel Moran"]. Close. So close. Another turn or two, and they would actually see the person there. "Do you know who else might be here?"

Azel paused to wipe away sweat with a beefy forearm. He had exposed the beskar drillbit in half a dozen places through the corroded chuck. At the sound of voices, he hefted the eighteen-inch alchemical file and went around the corner.

He squinted into the dark.

"Can I help you?"

Jai sighed a little when he heard [member="Scherezade deWinter"] laugh, telling him she didn't even know his clan. Were he and his friends the last? The young Mando couldn't help but feel the weight of the universe on his shoulders for a second. All a case of right place, right time. The young Mando was just annoyed though. He looked at her, seeming worried. "Do you know if anyone got off world after the invasion?"

He walked slowly behind her, not saying a word before hearing some noise. He kept his Trayc'kal ready before hearing deWinter ask if he knew who else might be there. He shook his head, readying his weapons. "Just Sith." He then heard [member="Azel Moran"] ask if he could help them as they walked up. Jai quickly pointed his weapons at the man, ready to fire.

"Unless you want to leave the planet, not likely."

Did she know if anyone got off world after the invasion? Scherezade paused in her step and turned around, looking at the young Mandalorian, the surprise evident on her face. Kernels of understand were dropping inside her head as she realized… Or thought she understood, anyway, that these few had been there since before the invasion. Did not know what happened afterwards.

"You were hiding here? All this time?" This was… This was a shipyard, partially underground. There was no food here, no streaming water that she knew of, no land to live off. Were there rations prepared? "Did you eat other clan members to survive?" came her next question. There was no evilness in it though, no intent for harm; she was genuinely interested now. She knew that she herself wasn’t above killing crew for survival, but not everyone shared her views on those things.

But to the voice they had heard, the guy said it could only be other Sith. They walked a few more steps more until the stranger was revealed to them. She didn't need to be told in order to sense that, if not a Sith, the stranger was at least a Darksider. But he didn't have any markings that would indicate that he was with the Sith Empire. So who was he and what was he doing here?

"Are you also one of those who hid here during the invasion?" she asked with the sweetest of smiles, "I'm about to start a catch-up class if you'd like to join."

"Humanoid life detected, Commander." The lead BoB transmitted back.

Karlie had just tackled her way past the floating and bloated carcasses of whom had been caught in some kind of blast in the tunnel cave in. She knew enough about arsenals to guess it had been a deep penetrating bunker buster that had hit the tunnel way back during the TSE invasion, she and her droids just passed through. Unfortunately, the rotting carcasses were of Mandos along with what appeared to be a few civilians-
No wait, there were no civilians in the Mando culture.
Sadly then, those unfortunates lacking armor that had been among the dead, had to be none other than their family members. Karlie had been sicked by the sigh, and smell.

"Commander.." The battledroid went on again in repeating his message. Karlie were still trying to clear those images from her mind.

"Yes, I heard you." Karlie transmitted back.

"More casualties?"

"Negative. Movements up through this tunnel indicate humanoids have converged into a small non-defensive group. Number of units unknown due to structure interference."

"How far up ahead are they?"

"Life readings put the group at 120 meters." The droid reported as Karlie came up to it.
She were looking at another split, a five point split in the tunnel. All were as dark as pitch, like the one the droid were indicating it had picking up life.

"Shoot-
I mean, crap." Yea, she best watch her language as she weren't too confident her droids could distinguish figurative speech.
"No way to know if they are friend or foe huh?" She meant Mando or sith. Although one couldn't rightly say that coming up on a Mando here on Concord Dawn would be met with open arms. This system had been devastated by off-worlders...namely sith. Chances were that whomever a Mando found outside his clansmen would be dealt with extreme prejudice.

"Negative. Do you wish to send out a scout team ahead?"

"Seriously?" Karlie looked up to the hulk of a battle droid.
"I don't think so. If they are sith, then the game's up, and we'll have to light up this place. And if they are Mando, then seeing one of you first will end this game just as quickly." She reasoned.
"No, looks like I'll have to take lead." She then said getting ahead of the lead droid.
"Stay behind me...stealthily if that's at all possible." Of course they were stealthy, despite their mechanical framework. But one wouldn't guess that by looking at them.

It took some time...13 minutes for karlie to head through the tunnel carefully until she came up to what appeared to be an other chamber. Her own life scanning device were definitely reading life signs...
She carefully peered around the corner and had to do a double take.
What were the freakin chances of running into that starnge girl AGAIN! like, how small was this freakin galaxy?!

"Scherazade?..." She called out from the tunnel, still not fully exposing herself out in the open.
Two things Karlie were hoping for. One was that she weren't going to get shot at and two, getting that girl's name right, otherwise Karlie knew she'd most likely get shot at.
And both weren't going to turn out too well in Karlie's favor if the runt wasn't in a good mood, as she were known to pack glitter bullets.
"That you girl?" Yes, Karlie had come across the girl's rap sheet. Still, somehow or other the two although hadn't really hit it off as friends, nevertheless seemed to converge as being a pair.

"Sherazade...it's me, Karlie." She were calling out, still using the entrance wall from the tunnel as cover. Hell, the girl was with some company. Karlie knew Scherazade, but not the others...

Jai looked at Scherazade, sighing and nodding a little. Was it really that surprising? That someone who hated Sith was still here? Jai just shrugged, but did a double take when when she asked if they had eaten their clan mates. He grunted a little at this, but finally spoke.

"Ok. One: No. We're survivors, not cannibals. Why would you even asked that!?" After getting that annoyance out of his system, the young Mando spoke again. "But yeah. We've lived not just here, but used the whole underground. constantly moving, and trying to strike the Sith when we could. It's never been easy.... The stuff that's happened here...." Jai'galaar then stopped, looking as someone else approached. He didn't know them, and was definitely on edge, but she seemed to know the deWinter, so that was... something at least. It was clear he wasn't sure about her though.

Her questions of pure and perfect sound reason had apparently annoyed the Mandalorian, as was incredibly evident in his voice. Still, Scherezade gave him an impish smile. The thought that cannibalism bothered so many people to such an extent was always strange to her; she, herself, would not think twice if there were no other food sources around.

"Sometimes, meat is just meat," she answered, giving him a knowing smile. Whether he was lying about eating others or not, she had no clue. She wasn't gonna press. But if he had? She wasn't going to judge him for making a perfectly sound and reasonable choice.

"There's an entire underground," Scherezade repeated, and then nodded, mostly to herself. It was not the first place that had it. It wasn't even that uncommon; Eve was built like that. Her own home planet had them as well. Still though… "You haven't made a dent to the Sith," she pointed out, "maybe it's better to change your strategy."

And then the Alchemist. He knew her. Of her? She was not certain. But there was only one new sword in her arsenal, and if that was the one he was referring to, they could become good friends indeed. "It works every time I put the pointy end in," she almost purred.

Last but not least, Karlie. There was something about the blonde that the Sithling utterly loved. But still, if there was one thing that could grate on her nerves, it was the mispronunciation of her name. "Karlie," she answered her, "It's Scherezade. You know this." Or at least, she hoped she knew of this.

So that was them, then. Three people, a handful of droids, weapons, and an Underground.

"You know, guys," Scherezade said with a careless shrug as she leaned against the wall of the cavern, "There are better ways of fighting the Sith, if that's what you're after. I mean, they did come do the pew pew thing to Concord Dawn, to Mandalore, to a bunch of other places. Don't you guys just utterly hate that Empire?"

Jumping forward, a smile spread on her face, the smile of passion and joy, of excitement, "I work with people who hate all the big butted greedy guzzly governments. Sith Empire, Confederacy, Silvers, Imperium… They're all the same. And they all have planets under their control, planets that they do not deserve to have. My people and I are going to hurt the hard enough so that they relinquish their hold on most of them. Mandalore, Tatooine, Dathomir, Coruscant, all of them. You could dent their butts much better than you ever could picking them off here. So wanna come burn the stars with me? We're situated in the Unknown Regions."

"Yup...that's her..." She said to herself as she broke cover.

Had she gotten her name wrong again. Yes she did, and on purpose no less. It had become somewhat of a tradition, her trademark call sign when it came to the girl. Although it did seem Scherezade was irate every time Karlie pulled that, the truth of the matter was, it did irate the girl.
But hey, what better way was there to gauge the little killing machine's mood and confirm who both really were, as there could be a possibility of the sith cloning look-a-likes and entrap one or the other. well, that was Karlie's theory anyway. Little did she know how hot the flames were in this little furnace she were playing with.

"All good....I'm with company.." Karlie came out to the clearing showing both hands empty.
"They're with me.." Obviously the battle droids behind her.

The unit of battle droids followed her in from the tunnel and into the somewhat open chamber. The droids as ominous as they were showed no signs of aggression but merely followed Karlie and stood around her like any combat unit would. Weapons only drawn in carry mode as they were after all in sith infested grounds for the most part.

"Friends of yours, I presume?..." She eyed the small group of what appeared to be Mandos... hardened battle weary Mandos. Their armor certainly indicated they had not seen some scrubbing for some time.
Karlie nodded to them, acknowledging their plight and resolve. She had just traversed through collapsed tunnels, through muck and thin, bearing witness to the many bloated and dead floating carcasses that lost their lives trying to defend their homes.

And of course that's when her overenthusiastic friend....yep, Karlie considered the little runt her friend for quite a few reasons not to be mentioned at this time.... started with her motivational campaign speech. It were commendable and for the most part what was on everyone's bucket list. But the sith, the Confederacy, the mother-Fo's, the silver this and the republic that were in too great a number for such a small coalition of what were dissidents of the Confederacy and whatnot to rise up and challenge the greater powers that reigned chaos upon the many systems and sectors of the galaxy.
Was breaking away from the Confederacy on Karlie's bucket list. yes, but she were smart enough to know that hitting the bucket would mean a quick and decisive end for her and Castagne. And she certainly didn't wish to see her beloved Castagne in ruins like Concord dawn and the other Mando systems that the sith ravaged.

"The star burning sounds a bit too much, like the First Order kinda thing. " of course Karlie knew Scherezade didn't mean that literally...er, right?..?? Karlie still had no clue that her so called friend...as the blonde saw Scherezade... wouldn't have reservations in snuffing out star systems if she were inclined too. Sigh..this kind of assumption came with the blonde hair, unfortunately.

"But yea, don't mind spanking a few rotten apples. Only thing is, to openly defy these Overlords will definitely bring down the same rain that leveled this planet, Scherezade.
If one is to defeat the enemy, one must weaken it...from the inside...like cancer." Karlie were not only a scientist, but a Castan IBI operative. She were just as savvy a tactician as she were a scientist.
And...and investigator. That too.

Jai eyed Scherezade, shaking his head. "Easier said then done in a place like this. Sometimes, I wonder if we should hide and wait." He then noticed the other person come up, and ask if they were friends. The Mando chuckled a little, thinking it was interesting that she assumed he and his friends were deWinter's friends. Either way, the his new "friend" soon started speaking, seeming to suggest that he and his friends join her band of rebels, freeing systems.

"You're suggesting leaving to help you guys? What about the rest of us here who are still fighting? Not everyone came with us, and I hate to say it, but moving that many people could tip off the Sith."

The smile on Scherezade's face was hard to miss. The speech she had delivered had made her proud, both of herself and of the Agents of Chaos. With Karlie and Jai here, and a few others, she knew they could do it. After all, no one present had been invited as first people to join her in the Unknown Regions; there already was a space construct with millions of people on it, already a forming combatant group, already… Already everything, to be honest. The foundations of their organization were nearly done.

Now it was mostly a matter of appealing to the both on a more personal level.

"If the First Order raise their head again, we'll cut it down," she assured Karlie, "The were the epitome of everything the Agents of Chaos stand against. And our defying will be both open and concealed… We can't take everyone down at once. But we can damage almost everyone if we play our cards right. If I remember right, your father is the ruler of Castange, right? Wouldn’t you prefer to have a Castange that is free of the Confederate's fist?"

Not to mention… Scherezade also had an idea about actually pulling planets out of their systems. Not destroy them, per se, just… Drag them to better places. Entire planets. Normally, it would be called a wild idea, but then again the Scintilla had been her idea nearly two years prior and she'd sold the blueprints for that for super cheap on the holonetwork because she needed the money. And now it was a reality. Time and resources meant you could get nearly anything done, Scherezade was learning. The only thing that truly limited anyone was their imagination.

"I'm suggesting you leave to help yourself," she corrected Jai, "You're useless here, wasting away just trying to survive. I'm offering you a chance to thrive, to get stronger, better, and then come back with proper support to give a damn good fight. We've got stealth ships and the time to fish you out of this place. And if the Sith get ripped off they're welcome to come searching for us, though they may find themselves outplayed."

Or at least, she hoped so. Nothing was certain in this 'verse, but she wasn't about to discuss probabilities and the such.

"Both of you have a better chance with us rather than without us," she smiled, "and we have really good food too."

The tummies were always the way to people's hearts.

While the miscreants spoke, their 'stealth' ships which were detected on sensors had been reported to Kalakar, and naval command would log them. Additionally, a wide range of intelligence services had already begun to trace the terrorist organization. Their vehicles would be tagged by operatives on the ground, while thermal scanners penetrated the area and compiled a profile ready to be used by the Sith Imperial Intelligence Network. It happened quietly, it happened without notice and perhaps the only reason Concord Dawn wasn't torn apart to look for the group was that of prudence.
The Empire would wait, for the miscreants would return and when they did; they would be in for an awful surprise.

Out of the fire and into the frying pan.
Or...or was it the other way around? Karlie had no time to contemplate as to the degree of burn one would get from the other at this moment. What she knew was that one would certainly find themselves in a hot spot either choice.

"Join?..." She looked over into those green emeralds. They were like jewels a miner would kill for, and they were in a kind of cave, the underground labyrinth of tunnels running through and fro the Varos Shipyard.... or what remained of it.

"...wouldn't that kind of contradict the whole Chaos thingy you're selling? " Join like joining an organization, joining a collective...a new way of governing without governing? What was Scherezade on right now...death sticks?

No.
No her emerald were clear, deep, and had a kind f internal light which by the way certainly was no reflection as they were in the DARK! No, Scherezade's eyes reflected her center, her soul and it were not compromised by drugs, nor alcohol...just pure drive, pure spirit from within. The girl spoke from her soul...the truth as Scherezade believed it. Only that Karlie didn't. Not wholeheartedly as in the manner Scherezade delivered it to her.

Still, the girl'd eyes were mesmerizing, pulling, inviting Karlie to gaze deeper and deeper- "Ahem." The blonde caught herself from tipping over the edge, taking a breath, then two to reset.

"I mean...independence is what most if not all factions are striving for, sure. And no one can argue the fact if you stand alone, you perish alone. Still, Castagne right now is in no position to oppose the body of the CIS openly, let alone strike at the head of the snake itself. " It were trying, avoiding those emeralds. Damn they were so much more lustrous than she remembered them. then again the girl was 3 sheets or more to the wind, drunk at the time.

"Besides, I can't speak for my father, nor for my system., Scherezade. I'm not here on this charred planet under any authority but my own. Me being here has not been sanction by either the CIS or Castagne's Cabinetry... my father." It were true. Karlie was in a way a dissident, a rogue working solely to find the means of breaking her system away from what she believed was a tyrannical sith in league no less than with the TSE. And if there was one thing Karlie could not stand to suffer, it were the sith en-mass.
Karlie had her suspicions of the Vicelord from the very beginning, way back when Melida/Dan had come upon a crissis concerning the reanimation of the undead via a contagion, a deployed virus by an unknown entity. Karlie's bid to unfold that mystery on Melida/Dan only put her and Castagne under the threat of annihilation by the Vicelord. A direct threat from the Vicelord to her beloved Castagne that he would torch it as he were currently to torch Melida/Dan.
This was how the CIS repaid those systems whom had opened up their arms, entrusted their defenses and population to be secured by the CIS under the Vicelord. That day were the beginning of Karlie's fall from the CIS. Then not to mention her kidnapping ordeal following the accusation that she had a direct hand in the death of the Vicelord's son...
A chill went up Karlie's spine as she touched upon these memories.

Still....
This Chaos concept; although it promised one of many avenues for her to pursue, it weren't the entire block and tackle she were looking for. at least not so early in her game. Karlie weren't one to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. Hmm... say, that verse sounded more right. Out of the pan and into the flames, she then realized. Yep, she'd stick with that.

"All I can offer you at this point is friendship with a tight lip. I don't name names and neither do you. not until I have set my own plans as to how to go about removing Castagne from the clutches of the sith's grip without turning my world into what became of Mandalore and of Concord Dawn here." She emphasized the risks on her end again.
While many would dive into such ventures feet first, Karlie had the weigh of souls upon her shoulders to bear. She could not decide the fate of her countrymen solely on what her own wishes were for them.

Karlie weren't about to shoot from the hip on this one...not when it pitted her, Castagne and all she loved against their overlord and the siths at his beckoning.
