Dark Lord Vs Darth Sidious

I ask this question mainly because in star wars cannon Sidious is the most powerful sith in history but since this is 800 years after and the cannon is kinda fuzzy right now (Cough cough Disney cough) I was wondering where they all fit in the power scale. Of course Vader being the chosen one if he reached his full dark side potential would trump all but meh.

As a plot device, he is both incredibly powerful and incredibly weak. Whatever the plot needs, he becomes. If we need him to be replaced, than he would be no more powerful than a pebble in the hands of a child. But if we need him to resist the assault of a bitter, traitorous Sith, than he would be stronger than a mountain in the hands of a God (figuratively speaking).

If only. The plot device isn't used for war. That's why we have people like the Wrath, Hands, Voices, Eyes, etc.

The closest we get to the Dark Lord chatting with our foes is through the Eyes, and I don't see that happening any time soon.

We currently have the GA constantly harassing our borders, the Republic hasn't fallen yet, and I'm sure there are other enemies waiting in the wings.

Don't be so excited to split the One Sith in two when there are plenty who will use it to completely destroy us. Patience. Once our enemies are dealt with, a purge can begin.
