Day of Remembrance

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
"Maybe growing in size is what you need to do. What you are trying to build is rather large in and of itself, so common sense would say that it needs a large company to complete it. A larger company would give you more resources and more people to pursue your goals."

Bio engineering? Perhaps he wishes to figure out a way to fix his sight.

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos smiled. "That is true getting the company larger would inevitably make this a better in terms of resources and manpower, yes. But in the end I believe it is a simple logistical problem, one solved once I hire the right person for that job." He then said with a smile. "If your wondering about the bio-engineering part it would be connected to a medical facility to regrow and reattach new arms or legs for people."

"Hmmm.....it could just be logistics. Or the location. If I hear of anyone looking for that type of work, I will send them your way."

To the comment of bio-engineering, Kay smiled. "Regrowing limbs would be wonderful. There are some that don't quite trust robotic limbs. It would be nice for people to have the choice."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos smiled. "I thank you for the help. On the subject of limps however it is true, most of the time they are right not to trust the cybernetic ones as some are know to fail after all." He chuckled as he stood up and stretched a little, his body was getting stiff from all the sitting around.

Kay raised a brow. Not so much for him standing, but for what he had said. "Oh? Fortunately I have been able to keep all of my limbs intact. It makes me wonder sometimes though if limbs could be pre-programmed to attack or kill. That would be....very disturbing." Or it would really be more if a nightmare. Assassinations could happen in that way and the person with the robotic hand would be just as innocent as the victim.

[member="Lady Kay"]

He nodded to that. "If my company would make such limbs, I would make sure that only the wearer can move them and that they wouldn't be hackable in any regard by cutting them off from anything but the wearers own neural network." He seemed proud of that, preventing such things was both in the interest of his company but also those that would have to have those same limbs. The fear of having a limb not under your own control was a horrible feeling or so he imagined.

Kay smiled to [member="Darth Erebos"] as he described his endeavours. "That sounds fantastic. I'm sure that there would be a lot of people, patients and otherwise that would feel a little more at ease with that. At least....I know that I would be." Hopefully though she would never have to worry about it. Yet it was stupid that red tape was preventing him from making what the Galaxy needed. There just had to be a way around it.

Erebos nodded and scratched the side of his head a little. "Well given that I have to make subsidiaries for my company to achieve this which will add to the management department." He faked an expression of dread realization. "I'm going to have to hire an assistant."

Kay smirked at [member="Darth Erebos"] and faked a look of shock as she gasped. "Really? No, not an assistant!" She then laughed a little. "I think that having an assistant would be a great idea. It's better than carrying the entire burden on yourself."

"True though then it always comes down to hiring the right person which can help guide my company down the road I want it to go down, not try and push their own agendas onto my company." He said then while he stood up and stretched a little.

Kay nodded as she listened. That was true. He'd need to find someone that was already happy with what they had and shared in his vision. "I'm sure that there's someone out there for you. Have you thought of putting out an ad?" If only their two governments weren't at war with eachother...

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Ereobs seemed like something dawned on him. "Oh yeah that was always an option wasn't it." In all the excitement and busyness of making the company, the thought of putting out an ad for a few positions within it had completely slipped his mind. When he looked at [member="Lady Kay"] then it seemed like something was weighing on her mind. "Is everything all right?"

She nodded a little as she looked at him. "I'm alright. It's just.....stupid. This whole war is delaying and sometimes stopping real progress. I could help you, but the law won't allow it. Yet even if I was able to help I'd be worried that history would repeat itself. ArmaTech was once a great company, but it started to turn evil. I left and the result of that made it worse. Draco says he felt as though I abandoned them and he's lost his way. He won't even entertain the idea of turning the company back to how it was meant to be. He says that he's too far gone..." Kay sighed a little. "I hope that your company stays true to it's mandate that you presented to me."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos smiled to her. "I will admit there will be a sale of weapons and armors within my company but if I ever go into full blown weapons development I will focus on the defensive aspect instead of this constant stream of offensive weapons we seem to see flooding the markets. Unlike Armatech, ZTI started as a ship and droid manufacturer, this won't ever change but the focus of the ships produced might in the future to keep up with the galaxy at large.
Things always evolve individuals and corporations are no exceptions, [member="Lady Kay"] do not blame yourself for what has happened to Armatech, you might have had a more positive influence if you'd have stayed but that can't be changed now. Living in the past is how the old republic was invaded by mandalorians and the sith so often and repetitively in the past after all."
Erebos said with a smile, he was trying to reassure her but this wasn't something he had any experience in so he hoped a little logic might help instead.

Kay wasn't so sure if she would've been a loud enough voice to keep ArmaTech on the straight and narrow. Not with the Mandos pushing things through.

"Could I speak with some members of the Republic about your station and see if they could help you finish it? Or would you rather keep them out of it?"

[member="Darth Erebos"]

"I must admit that a collaboration with the republic does sound interesting." He began as he put his hand against his chin and rubbed it a little. "But If they find out I am a sith I believe they'd rather sabotage me than help me." He said as his over all expression turned a little puzzled as if he was trying to peer a little into the future.

She sighed a little as she nodded. "But anyone that sees your company as competition or a threat would do the same thing. I don't think that it matters what side you're on. As you said, there will always be conflict." Kay wanted so badly for everyone to get along, or at the very least, be respectful to one another. But that was usually too much to ask.

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos had to chuckle a little at that. "You're starting to sound a little like a sith [member="Lady Kay"], But as we say conflict is needed to help oneself grow but outright war is not what I see as positive conflict." He then said as he walked up to Kay and patted her on the shoulder. "It can't rain all the time right?" He then said with a smile.

Kay smirked as [member="Darth Erebos"] said that she was sounding like a Sith. That was of course, not quite what she had wanted to hear. If others knew what she was doing here, she'd be in a lot of trouble. "I was just thinking with my business hat on. I don't want outright war either. I want others to get along most of the time, just like I do."

Erebos had to smirk at that as he laughed a little. "Well that is the course of us rational individuals isn't it? the utter baffling irrationality of those around us."
