Day of Remembrance

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
The ball of rocks seemed confused with the efforts of both Force users. It went up, down, up, down until finally it flew over her head, causing Kay to duck. She wiped away a bit of sweat from her brow with the sleeve of her dress. "I think you beat me there, my friend." She smiled and bowed her head to the victor, [member="Darth Erebos"]. It reminded her of the games of skill way back at the academy. Those were fun days.

Erebos smiled a little. "You should practice more often, at least I feel that the force is like a muscle the more you use it the stronger and finer your control becomes." He said as he walked to be a few steps away from her now. He had found the competition quite fun to be honest with himself and it made him smile that he could practice something like this without the fear of another sith trying to use that to his own advantage against him. [member="Lady Kay"] certainly was an individual he'd have to keep an eye on in the foreseeable future.

Kay nodded. "You're right, I should. Though I can only do so when I'm away from the Senate, the Republic and others. If I get found out, I'll lose my seat..." She tilted her head to the side a bit as she pondered. "You know...I struck a deal with a Jackal whereas him and a champion of mine fought over the fate of a planet. If he won, I leave and the Jackals could try to capture the people without me stopping them. But if my champion won, then the Jackals would leave the planet forever....If only other wars were fought in such a way...through competitions of various skills. It would save many lives and cease the destruction of homes and ships."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos nodded to [member="Lady Kay"]'s statement. "That is true but another thought is that the wars are the galaxy's way of lowering the population count of a given planet so it can stay self sufficient or sustainable." He then said as he put it in terms of nature and it's way's of keeping things in perspective.

It was an interesting point that he had there. But she didn't wholly agree with it. "Are you saying that the Galaxy made us violent in a bid to control the population? It's an interesting thought, but it's not quite the type of Galaxy that I struggle for. Why should others be made to suffer for population control when they had no choice of coming into being in the first place?"

It was nice to be able to converse on different levels without the threat of getting into trouble. No one knew that she was here and no one else was around.

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos nodded in agreement to [member="Lady Kay"]'s point. "That is true but you cannot deny that worlds such as coruscant, despite all those fancy names it's been given, cannot sustain itself due to it's enormous population. In my opinion the galaxy or the force is simply trying to make sure that doesn't happen to it's entirety so that life can still thrive. You cannot deny the damage that has been done to some planets simply in the name of so called progress, look at Nal hutta for example for that point alone." He then said as he arranged a few stones into a seat and sat on them, his lips had a slight smile as he enjoyed to be able to rationally speak of something with someone.

She nodded to [member="Darth Erebos"] but remained standing, just in case she felt the need to pace during this discussion. Pacing sometimes helped her think. "No, you're right. You give great examples. I suppose that at times my thinking is a bit....limited. People believe that when I go about rescuing slaves. They think that I don't see how pointless that it might be. I know that I'll never put an end to it, in the same way that I could never stop all the wars. But that doesn't mean that the lives I save are worthless and that they don't deserve a chance at a better life, at having freedom." This of course was very important to her. It wasn't always that way. But ever since her husband died, things had changed.

He simply smiled to her response. "Well of course you are doing something good when you free those slaves from servitude. If you'd been focused on the fact that solving slavery is a momentous task that might never come to fruition you wouldn't be able to do what you do at all. I think in that regard it would be unhealthy for you to think on or dwell on it as you are still doing the galaxy some good, which In reality is something it desperately needs at this point." He said with his smile unfazed as he leaned back a little while he spoke to [member="Lady Kay"].

She nodded. "Yes. I've been told that my hope for the Galaxy is refreshing as it is unwavering. I just tell them that I'm stubborn." Kay grinned with a wink to [member="Darth Erebos"]. "Many try to stop me, even going so far as to send bounty hunters after me. But even after getting captured, I know that some how, I'll get out of that mess and be able to continue with my work."

She tilted her head to the side a bit as she pondered. "I am sure that there are many among you that I must avoid. Who among them are of the worst?"

Erebos thought for a moment as he pondered how to answer [member="Lady Kay"]'s question. "Well Darths Vornskr, Reverance, Pyrrhus, Ferus and Mythos come to mind. Also Xhexania has broken away from the sith to make the order of the black rose." He then said as he pulled a small data pad from a pouch on his belt and began to press a few buttons on it. "I've lost all interest in the other sith and what they are doing as such for the past month or so I've only been going through with my company's interests and furthering my own training." He then said as he gave her a slight smirk.

She nodded as he listed out the names. "Ferus I know and am not worried about. Mythos is one of my allies as well as he feels that he owes me for what happened on Atrisia."

Kay now chose to sit down, seating herself comfortably on the grass. "What is your company about, again?" She couldn't remember if he had mentioned it or not before.

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos simply sighed, his face visibly showing the frustration over the company. "It's a ship building company along with worker droids and training droids for force users such as the training sphere droids the jedi use to train in blaster deflection." He explained as he leaned forwards a little and rested his head against his hand which was propped against his knee.
"Most of it however is just getting it off the ground which is exhausting. Just completing the large space station that now orbits Csilla has been a huge chore as it's only half finished at the moment." He then said as he looked at [member="Lady Kay"] while he spoke.

Kay nodded as she knew what that was like. She had helped to get ArmaTech off the ground and now it raked in billions. But it has also gone down a bad path.

"Are you finding it tough to gather workers? Or is it more of a financial burden that is making it a chore?"

If she could help [member="Darth Erebos"] than she would have to do it very cautiously, given that he was considered the enemy by the government that she worked for.

He shook his head a little. "When it comes to workers the chiss of Csilla are more than happy to provide them as over 70% of the stations workers are chiss and they provide security as well. The problem is getting the right permits through as well as marketing has been a nightmare." He said with a slight chuckle, he had never seen himself saying things like this when he first joined the One Sith, let alone be the head of a company.
Looking at [member="Lady Kay"] made him raise his head up a little and he sounded proud. "Kay I currently have deals with the Chiss ascendancy, the Trade Conglomerate which include Loom and The umbrella corporation. I have distanced my company from the one sith for the express purpose that I wish it to remain neutral in the galactic conflicts."

Permits and marketing. All that could be solved with government contracts. But sometimes the products need to speak for themselves.

As for his company wanting to remain neutral, Kay knew why other companies did that. It was so that they could profit from both sides of the conflict. ArmaTech did that before it went evil. The company had lost it's way.

"Where is it that you are failing to get permits? Maybe I could ask around and find out why."

[member="Darth Erebos"]

Erebos simply smiled at [member="Lady Kay"]'s offer. "It is simply the headquarters that I'm trying to get through with permitting. Since my company makes labour and training droids along with ships such as cargo ships and such I have little interest in war machinces or war ship though I made an interceptor simply to protect my own stations and gargo/trade routes" He said with a smile as he rubbed his temple a little with one hand while with other he pulled out a small holo display disk that showed the scematics to the current headquarters under construction the zuguruk station above Csilla.

Kay nodded and looked at the image. "Wow. It's very impressive and the scale is incredible." If only he wasn't Sith. [member="Darth Erebos"] would have better luck promoting such a station with the Republic. They could use it.

"Have you tried using an alias and promoting your project that way?"

Erebos moved his hand from his temple to his chin as he thought it through. "Hmm well that would be easier said than done, though if you have suggestions on the matter I'm all ears." He then said with a slight smile to [member="Lady Kay"] as he was quite flattered she liked his station's schematics though if she saw the real thing it would be a reaction he'd pay to see.

Kay-Larr

"Well....I think that you could create a shell company, one that is strictly neutral and have that one back up your project. The problem with promoting it yourself is that you are limiting yourself to a certain group. But with being neutral, you can cater to all sides and you should find the money flowing easier. As well as the permits needed for construction."

Kay hadn't worn her business hat for some time. Too bad ArmaTech was too big for it's own good. Otherwise they might've been able to help.

[member="Darth Erebos"]

"Hmm that would be an interesting proposition though it would be easier said then done, first I'd have to allow my company to grow in size." He then responded as he comped his hair back a little. "And [member="Lady Kay"] I am not really interested in the money to me the company is simply a way for me to build and make things and to branch out from simple engineering to perhaps bio engineering." He then said with a slight smile on his lips, if his company grew it would only serve as a platform to allow him more opportunities to make different objects and items in the end.
